Nadelen: "Asked specifically at the ticketing counter not to be seated in a non-emergency row. Were seated in an emergency row. For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

Whenever there was a change in schedule / plans the captain informed the passengers immediately about what was going on and what would happen next."
Nadelen: "The only thing that did and probably always will be AWFUL is going thru security at JFK. The T S A officials there are unfriendly, sometimes rude, never smiling and often yelling at you or even little kids or elderly people. We are travelling a lot and no other security staff at any given airport is so unfriendly and harsh. Worst thing about going on a journey."

I had to pay thousands for new flight Austrian Air. Swiss thieved my money and I dont mind saying so. Unfair and unfair conduct. I am saving this letter for twitter to tell my friends of my disgust. I will be happy if this is sorted refunded immediately. A copy of these details and medical letter already provided to Jithendra from flight network (online travel agent)."

Voordelen: "I was stopped at gate check in and taken to one side as passport security had reported that I was intoxicated. I was badly injured in the armed forces and have lost my hearing which affects my balance. I asked for an aisle seat as I'm a big guy as s personal trainer. But was given seat E. Next to a huge obese guy. He slept whole journey, must of had nightmares and jumped and banged me repeatadly. I had the first meal, which was not great but edible. I couldn't eat it properly as I couldn't move my left arm due to the blob Sat next to me. I asked the stewardess to wake me at the meal times so I could get more food. She didn't. Not once. I couldn't even get out the seat to go toilet or get any of the help yourself stuff outside the toilets due to the fat blob I was put next too. Totally disgusted with the whole flight and crew when everytime I've used the same company before it was excellent."

For example: - fully reclining seats with mattresses that enable sleep - attentive, thoughtful service - a lounge in which to get a drink or snacks, relax, talk with people - good food and drink - a personal bar at your seat with water and soft drinks We've also flown Emirates in tourist class, and it, too, is far superior to most other airlines. There's more seat room, more leg room, good service, clean bathrooms, and decent food and drink."

Nadelen: "The airline’s insistence on keeping a passenger limited to only one carry on bag and then weighing to make sure that each carry on item was only 7 kilos was just plain ridiculous."

Nadelen: "Before I start my complaint I would like to say that my family and I had 6 emirates flights this year and 5 of those flights were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our traveling with emirates but this 1 flight came out to be the worst flight of my life. I made online check-in and chose our seats and all was successful but when we reached the airport and I opened my app, it displayed that online boarding pass was not available. After moving slowly in a long queue, when I reached near boarding counters, an official checked my name in a list and informed that there was some new tax applied on us and thus I had to visit counter 5 or 6 to pay that tax. We joined the queue of counter 5 but it was not moving at all and I noticed some people being served at counter 5 who were not in the queue, thinking that counter 5 might take longer, I joined counter 6 queue where there were only 1 family and 1 passenger ahead of me, for next half hour we stood there but that queue didn't move. Finally after some time another counter called me, he confirmed that I had made online check-in. We were given boarding passes and were asked to wait for tax processing, After another 15min, we were given all papers and were requested to move to the immigration counter. After immigration when we were going through final security check, the emirates official asked me to hurry up, I showed him that the security process was going on in front of him, upon that he asked why I was late to airport, I informed him that I made online check-in and I was required to be there 90min before the flight but I was there 150min before the flight and it was in front of him how long the tax processing took, upon that he said that I should have been at the boarding counter 240min before the flight and that I should be aware of the facilities at the airport (although it was my 1st time there). I had not made any complaint on what had happened so far to anyone and I was not rude to anyone although I was with my wife and 1.5 years old son who was crying coz of warn weather and thirst, we couldn't provide him with water coz we were standing in queues all the time. But hearing such comments from Emirates official were quite unbearable but still I stayed calm and reached at the gate. When I handed over the boarding passes, I was told that my boarding pass was missing and I was quickly blamed by emirates officials that either I reached there without a boarding pass or I had lost it. When they checked in their system it showed that I was already boarded, I understood that they gave my boarding pass to someone else but they kept on saying that I had lost it and also informed the same to plane crew, then they made a manual boarding pass for me and let me pass the gate. At the gate I was connecting for Islamabad, there was not a single seating arrangement. When I complained about it to emirates desk, the staff was extremely rude. Such arrogance and an attitude that you instantly abhor. In my opinion, these Emirates people are most racist people in the world. The way they treat passengers from developing countries is vile. Even onboard, they treat 'white' passengers much differently than they would for a brown skin. I would never fly Emirates again. I plan to write against them in some leading newspaper for being racist. If people like us stay quiet and injustice and humiliating attitude they have against us, we will continue to suffer. I can pay a higher price for any other airline but I decline to ever fly with Emirates at the expense of my dignity."

Voordelen: "I flew round trip on their flagship Airbus 380 from Toronto to Dubai, about 13-14 hours. Crew was great, plenty of food and drinks, about 3x meals, lost track of how many drink runs, maybe 5x. It was almost too much food & drink! The in-flight entertainment was great, touch screen was fantastic, USB port, even power outlet, on back of seat, plenty of entertainment choices from movies, to video games, to trivia, I even got a kick out of all the camera's mounted on the outside of the plane with all the flight tracking details available on screen, plenty of bathrooms. Its such a big plane it didn't even feel like you are flying. I'm 6'4" so I always choose an aisle seat so i can at least stretch one leg out, the crew was even mindful not to bump my elbow or even my leg when it was extended out into the aisle while i was asleep...which was more than accommodating to something I shouldn't have been doing! Overall Excellent, I wish every airline was like Emirates. They're bringing back the old school service and class airlines used to be like. I know people don't dress up while they air travel anymore, but I'll be dressing up the next time I fly Emirates! ;)"

We had all of the documentation that we were told to have by our friends and by travel agents... Emirates did not accept this and did not let us travel and refused to refund or change our tickets. Disappointment does not even begin to describe the emotion of losing this once in a lifetime opportunity."

Nadelen: "29 passengers were arriving in JFK from MSP, a flight that was delayed due to ground staff issues at JFK (which means that Emirates' partner airline had some issues?). Plane was delayed but we landed just in time to make the connection or so we thought. After running through the terminal, we saw our plane attached to the gate for 53 minutes(I have pictures to show) but Emirates gate staff said the flight is now closed, and didn't let us board the flight. They didn't help us rebook our next flight, or pay for hotel or transportation. And some of us couldn't fly for 2 days because they were overbooked on their future flights. And that's what really happened - Emirates was overbooked for our flight, and conveniently used the excuse that they didn't know our flight had landed in JFK (seriously), and their ground staff was totally non challent about it. They asked us to call the partner airline to rebook, who instead asked us to call Emirates. 4-6 hours of calling for most of us in the middle of the night. Emirates has social media presence on Twitter & Facebook but it's like chatting with a wall. Its 100% useless and waste of time, and I have asked them where I can send my complaint but they won't respond."

Voordelen: "The flight was so nice! I landed on time, the food was good. I loved it the fact that I could charge my phone, have a good amount of tv show and movies to choose from. Comfortable seats. Yep I would recommend and I would flight with Emirates airlines again"

Voordelen: "I felt unwell towards the end of the flight. The cabin crew could not have been nicer. Although they were busy they all found time to come and check on me, including the purser. Water and other drinks were given out regularly. They even provided afternoon tea with scones and cream!"

The control for EU passengers was not so crowded but you couldn't see it at the end of the line, so even people who didn't have to were all crowding in the same cue. Horrible experience and I almost missed my flight because of this mess."

Voordelen: "Although clearly an older plane, it was clean. Gate personnel re-assigned me to a seat in a row with no-one in it."
Nadelen: "The gate of departure moved twice before departure. The last change was to a completely different building. Apparently the equipment was changed and I did not learn that I would need a seat re-assignment until I scanned my boarding pass during boarding. (However, the gate agent was quick to accommodate)."

My girlfriend used 2 of them. When I called the flight attendant for the extra blanket using the bottom nobody showed up - I had to stop an attendant passing by to get the extra blanket."
