I also like that there were diabetic and vegetarian meals offered, although the diabetic meals should ideally focus on lower carbohydrate totals. Fruits and breads can pack just as much sugar as sweets."
Nadelen: "Starting with the boarding area at LAX, there was some really high pitched siren that kept going off over and over which no one seemed to care to investigate or do anything about. It was very irritating, and seemed to put lots of passengers in a bad mood before the plane even started boarding. Then when they announced boarding was beginning, everyone got up and created massed around creating four chaotic lines. It was a mess. We left 45 min late, which caused us to run to make our connecting flight because the person at the gate never told us it was also going to be leaving late. The plane itself was extremely uncomfortable as well. I'm 5'8" tall and that's mostly torso. I fit easily in the back seat of my buddy's mini Cooper, and I could barely fit in the space without my legs hitting the seat in front of me. That was before the guy in front of me put his seat back and made it so I could barely reach under my seat. Then there was the control panel for my personal video monitor. The panel was located on the armrest in just the right spot where Everytime I put my hand down I accidentally pressed a button to call the flight attendant, or turn the video screen on off, which was really obnoxious when I was trying to sleep and kept accidentally turning on the bright screen which woke me up. The video monitors we're also touch compatible, but the screen was horrible about registering finger presses which led to the lady in the seat behind me smashing the screen as hard as she could repeatedly with her finger, which vibrated all the was through my headrest so I could feel it as if she were trying to get my attention. There was also no air flow above the seats... You simply had to rely on the flight attendant to set a temperature that the whole cabin enjoyed, or you had to suffer silently. Finally, the reading lights on the plane we're so high up that turning one on lit up all the seats around you as well, which meant you had to choose to either sit in the dark and not read, or turn on your light and read quietly while the people around you cursed your name while attempting to get some rest."

Nadelen: "Upon arriving to Rome, the time taken to land, actually getting off the plane and into the airport takes a very long time. Not much time to get to your connecting flight. Make sure you have at least 1.5 or 2 hr minimum layover time when booking connecting flights from Rome."

Nadelen: "Having arrived at the airport 2 hours ahead of the flight, there was a chaotic 1 hour wait to check in, with no queuing system and then an IT cock-up which closed the flight exactly 1 hour before departure, with passengers still in the queue. This left us rushing through the airport to the very furthest gate. Boarded 20 mins late, then the flight left 1 hour late. Very expensive ticket price too!"

Nadelen: "Horrible experience with Alitalia. They boarded us on a plane that had a wheel issue, and kept us on the ground for 2 hours before they decided to de-plane us. We then had to wait in a 5+ HOUR LINE to get rerouted (nope, they won't handle these issues online or over the phone, you have to wait in line). And THEN they wanted us to wait in a 2 hour line to re-drop off our bags. We got stuck overnight in Rome and were put in a horrible Hilton Garden Inn and barely made it in time to use our coupon for a "free meal" (aka, frozen meatballs and stale bread in a buffet that had been sitting out all night). On our flight back, the food was absolutely terrible, the movie selections were old and scarce, and the seats were uncomfortable. We called to complain as soon as we got home and still have not heard back from Alitalia. I will never fly with them again."

The management at the Alitalia desk at the airport was not up to the task of reassigning everyone. Understaffed and under equipped (staff was unable to get online to reschedule and re-issue new boarding passes) We are senior travelers (75 and 80 years old) and were forced to stand in lines for 3 hours We're headed to the airport now, the next day, and I am dreading the experience."

As I arrived in front of the airplane door, the crew said the remaining luggages couldn’t be boarded with us because there wasn’t anymore space in the lockers. 3. The crew was very unprofessional. So, in the end, after paying more for first rows tickets and after being one of the first people in line to be boarded, because of poor organizarion I ended as one of the last to be boarded and without the right to bring with me the personal luggage. A nightmare"

We were told we could get on a 4pm flight and were rebooked for a 9pm flight!! Then they lost all my luggage and when I did get it we only got 2bags! My kids while suitcase went missing for two days! Totally unacceptable! Worse thing is the lack of direction to handle the situation. Their answer was by law were allowed to overbook! Seriously! I know this is true but these airlines should. It be allowed to do that it’s disruptive to people’s lives that have paid money to be on these flights. So our 4day vacation is now down to 3 and of those 3days we spent one day waiting on partial delivery of our luggage!"

Et comme dédommagement sur place on nous a donné une carte pour ce restaurer qui elle était créditée de 4,50€, une mascarade vraiment...: Très mauvais service en Résumé!!!"

Nadelen: "Il est inadmissible qu'on ne donne même pas un verre d'eau durant ce voyage qui a duré 3 heures de temps et en plus pour un voyageur avec un bébé. De plus j'ai payé l'option priorité car on m'a dit que le bébé avait droit à un bagage de 10Kg qu'on pouvait envoyer en soute et ce n'était pas le cas. Ma fille a du avoir en main le bagage du bébé, son bagage cabine, la poussette et le bébé lui-même. Cà a été infernal pour elle. Je demande donc le remboursement de l'option priorité que j'ai payé pour rien (90€). Merci."

Aucune traduction en français alors qu'il s'agit d'un vol pour Paris. Nous ne prendrons plus cette compagnie surtout que nous avons très bien été traités par Transavia lors de notre aller."
