Our plane delayed so we arrived late at Tokyo causing to missed our plane connection then the crew helped us( very accommodating) for our transfer from Narita international airport to Haneda International airport with Limo bus, 1 & 1/2 hour ride with our luggages and waited for 8 hrs to be on board in a different airline."

I was disappointed that they didnt come through the cabin from time to time with snacks as most airlines do on long haul flights."

Nadelen: "1. Uncomfortable boarding at JFK: Had to go out in the cold to ride a BUS to the airplane: Why can't they use a BRIDGE like everyone else? Since our first leg was from, and our lest leg was to, very warm places, we were not prepared for the sub-freezing conditions. 2. Horrible flight delay: JFK to CAN: Cancellation of flight CZ600, 12/31/17, followed by TEN-hour delay leaving JFK, was beyond traumatic. Airplane had to be fixed, but it should not have taken that long to find a solution. Passenger care was horrible: Initially we sat on the tarmac for 4 hours, then transferred to a waiting station with almost no heat and no access to rest rooms or food."
Voordelen: "The flight and crew itself was fine, the problem was with China Southern once you got off the plane."
Nadelen: "This is a big airport for transit passengers. Even if you had a boarding pass for your connecting flight, you needed to get in line to get another one. That took an hour and a half. If you needed a transit visa because of a long layover (China Southern offers accommodation) you needed to go through a second procedure which was arbitrary and chaotic and took hours. I got my transit visa in 2 1/ 2 hours (4 hours after getting off plane). In another hour I was at the very nice hotel provided. China Southern staff had assured me I didn't need to get to the airport particularly early, but the hotel staff required I leave 3 1/2 hours before my flight. With a 15 hour layover I was able to get 3 hours sleep. I saw people who had been in the transit visa area for up to 7 hours. Nothing else about these flights mattered at that point."

Voordelen: "Crew were friendly and very efficient. China Southern completes the service of food and drink very quickly when compared to other airlines. Boarding was super easy."
Nadelen: "The plane was extremely hot. It was hot while we were on the tarmac, then it cooled right down once we were taking off. Once we levelled out it was way too hot again. Not pleasant at all."

I know mistakes happen but when I tried to resolve this problem Justfy.com put me on hold for hours on the day I'm suppose to fly out. I had to go to Twitter to get a call back, I will never use just fly.com again."

Nadelen: "The airline doesn’t have their airplanes right by the gate. The airplane was 25 minuets bus ride away!!! Every one waited in the rain for the bus to be full, then the bus drove off to some obscure locations- most of the riders are chinese, but I did hear someone said in English:”are we going to another airport?”... I was pretty close to the driver, and saw he didn’t slowdown for another vehicle coming through... sure enough, he slammed on the breaks really hard, the whole bus was full of standing passengers and everyone fell on top of each other... I hand held some artwork and of course it got smashed... finally we got to the airplane, everyone got off, hundreds of people were in the rain, rushing to get on the stairs up to the airplane gate, but there was only one gate and could only take one person at a time... it was a mad scene, with hundreds of people rushing, pushing, struggling in the rain and strong wind... it was close to midnight. I injured my foot on that day, my hands were full holding the carry on, artwork, I moved quite slowly... at the beginning I was hoping someone can help me to bring on my stuff because of my injury, but in a mad scenario like that, it looked pretty scary, the flight screw were busy trying to get people going in the gate... forget that... sigh, that was the most dramatic in the entire trip."
