The food, wine/ beer service was same as regular economy, the boarding took place at same time as economy, no drink before take-off if only sparkling water. And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Nadelen: "Checking in, the counter agent first told us we would need a visa to go to the USA. We are American citizens. Then she insisted that we buy checked bag allowance even though our tickets already included checked bags. We had already flown the 1st leg with checked baggage, why would we purchase tickets with no baggage allowance coming home?! The stroller we gate checked was left at the end of the oversized baggage carousel because of the ground crew not wanting to unload gate checked items. I will never EVER fly an AA codeshare flight."

Voordelen: "Flight kept being pushed back multiple times. left about 3 hrs late. Then after boarding and waiting to take off, the pilot tells us a light came on the "dash" and he has to have maintenance come to check it. That takes another 30 plus minutes. Not a good start to the morning."
Nadelen: "Never finding out what happened to the our original plane that was supposed to have left in the morning."

Voordelen: "Do you really think there is anything to like about flying these days. We are sardines pack on a your planes."
Nadelen: "Purchased business class seats, boarded in group 5. Had no where to put my 1 backpack. All the storage up front was gone. Why should I pay extra for a seat if I have to wait for everyone to get off the plane so I can go back 10 seat rows to get my bag. Dirty tray tables."

Nadelen: "Service staff was friendly enough; maybe I’m used to southwest. As someone who is anxious to fly smiling faces are always appreciate."

Nadelen: "Never got to take flight. Concerned now that I will lose EQM, EQD from flight because AA rebooked me on DL. Also, original flight was in F. AA rebooked in DL in economy all the way. So I paid F fare for economy flight."

Nadelen: "American Airlines DISCRIMINATES especially against the elderly! The airlines took my family of 6 off the flight that I booked 6 months in advance, and I had no flight out of Munich, Germany. I do not know why. I called and had them put us back on the flight. I paid extra for seats so that we could all sit together. The seats were given to others and my family could not sit together. The American Airlines employees were not helpful at all! The agent, Rowna, lied to us that we would be sitting together. They will not reimburse me for paying extra for seats that I did not get. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was more helpful than any employee."

Nadelen: "The aircraft was extremely cold throughout the duration of the flight. Of all of the long haul airlines I've flown with, I find that American Airlines offers the least leg room."

Nadelen: "Can’t think of one thing - unless a flying saucer could have delivered me like in about 5 minutes to Cabo! Ok - maybe one thing: charging for a checked bag on international flight seems rediculous (you asked)."

Nadelen: "Food selection for someone who's allergic to milk, such as myself, was the poorest I've ever encountered. Also, somehow the TSA Pre-Check for both my spouse and I was "dropped." So we had to wait to clear security and still didn't have tickets until the last minute because we couldn't check-in online because we needed our passports. Therefore, we almost missed our flight to Dallas. My spouse and I are still upset about the situation and lack of customer service."

Nadelen: "AA lost my luggage for several days. This is unacceptable. It required my wife and I to spend money on items that were unnecessary. We could not obtain good information on whether they were lost or mis-routed. The worry of whether we should buys clothes, toiletries, etc. was a daily concern. Way to ruin a customer's vacation."

Nadelen: "The staff encouraged me to get on my first delayed flight because my second was delayed as well. But as I landed from my first flight the second flights delay was reversed and I had no notification of this change. I missed my connecting flight. Had to stay in the airport all night, had to fly into a different destination at 7 am. No explanations, no help. Terrible."

Voordelen: "The food on the flight from Rome to Chicago was solid and the flight crew was pretty good. The inflight entertainment was average."
Nadelen: "Our ticket that was booked with British airways was changed to American."

Voordelen: "I loved our flight from Anchorage alaska to Los Angeles California. Flight attendants were kind and helpful. We had plenty of leg room and it was great flight. Loved our window seat."
Nadelen: "I didn't like that the flight attendants snarky attitudes when we would ask for son."

Nadelen: "Baggage was damaged, which required a claim to be submitted. Company policy requires me to take the damaged baggage home, empty it, and return it to the airport. The airport is 1-1/2 hours from my house. They inconvenience me by handling my baggage like an ape and then continue to inconvenience me by requiring me to go way out of my way to get it repaired. American Airlines apparently does not understand what customer service means."

Nadelen: "Older A321 plane, WIFI horrible and no seat back entertainment as on newer A321s"

Nadelen: "I was expecting to be on an JAL flight but it wasn't JAL and was operated by american airlines and I feel ripped off."

Nadelen: "British Airways cancelled my return without warning or even notice, I found by chance a few days before my return trip while checking the schedule. I had to spend an hour on the phone between British Airways and their code share on American Airlines and rebuy my seats on American. I am still waiting for the re-imbursement of the first cancelled seats ..."

Nadelen: "Tea - disgusting brown liquid! What about a tea bag, or I gladly would take just a cup of hot water to brew my own. Sandwiches: turkey with cheese or cheese. I am allergic to milk (common allergy), you put milk products everywhere. Vegan is the only option, sadly it is usually some sort of Asian food and I am not Asian, have a gag reflex when I smell Indian food. This was not Air India flight, but smelled like one!!! Will avoid flying with United. Somehow, although I booked on purpose with Brussels Air, without my consent (!!!) I was sold tickets for United operated flight. Please, don't tell me that customers are your #1 priority, because they are NOT!"

Nadelen: "My legs are short and the seat seemed a little higher than other plans. I couldn't rest my feet flat on the floor for 6 1/2 hours. This was very uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "We booked our flights round trip on united.com, but when we arrived at the airport for our return flight from Budapest to D.C., we were told we were on standby and might not be given seats (despite paying full price for the fare months ago). Brussels Airlines, the codeshare partner, blamed United. United blamed Brussels airlines. We are the flight, but my wife and I were seated separately. When I noticed several seats empty after the plane had finished boarding and asked the head flight attendant if my wife and I might not together, she refused, saying they weren't going to give us a free upgrade. When we went to drop off our bags for the next leg of the flight, from Brussels to Dulles, the bag check counters we're severely understaffed and we waited almost an hour just to drop off two suitcases. This made us nearly miss our flight and required us to sprint through the airport and beg to cut the security line. After boarding, my entertainment screen stopped working, though they did manage to fix it a couple of hours into the flight. Needless to say, this was less then a stellar experience."

Nadelen: "I was unable to pre-order a kosher meal through the web site. Customer service could barely write in legible English and in essence told me to take a hike. Flight was bumpy both ways for quite a while. What's the point of giving me a boarding pass in Tel Aviv if I need to go to the United transfer counter in Brussels and go through the process again, including a TSA (friendly) interrogation?"

Voordelen: "Friendly crew, decent food, good entertainment options to make the flight feel shorter."

Nadelen: "United Airlines portion of the flight from Brussels to IAD. My wife and I were seated in separate parts of the plane each in middle seats at the end of the boarding process when there was no longer any overhead room to store our belongings. Uncaring, unaccommodating crew, waiting area with not enough seats, and cramped seating on the plane with no possibility of sleep during an arduous seven hour flight."

Voordelen: "We were upgraded to business class. Everything was excellent! Seats were extremely comfortable. Flight attendants took great care of us!"

Nadelen: "Even though I have an account with United, and confirmed that I was a vegetarian both online, and on the flight heading to Europe, my meal wasn't entered. It worked out really well because I was sitting close to the front and they had pasta dishes available, but this is not the first time that United and its partners have "lost" or "mishandled" my vegetarian registration. The flight attendant even remarked that sadly, she hears this 'complaint' constantly. The food was good, but there's no reason that my meal request can't stay in the system."

Voordelen: "Professional, courteous flight crew. Uneventful flight. When flying at 37000 feet over an ocean, uneventful is a very good thing! :) Deboarding on arrival was quick and efficient."
Nadelen: "My headphone jack in the seat was broken but they offered to relocate me to a seat that worked. I stayed put and used the United app on my phone."

Nadelen: "I would expect when I book a Luftansa flight to fly in a Luftansa jet. This flight was carried by United and I did not know that until I arrived at the airport."

Nadelen: "I chose Luthansa because I was traveling with a bike and they are usually good about not overcharging however after booking the flight, United took over the flight and they have very unfriendly bike policies (200 each way). Usually I will not fly United because of these policies, I think I am done flying any Star Alliance companies."
