Before boarding, I asked at the gate if my new seat was a window--which is what I paid for--and they confirmed yes, my new seat was a window. Turns out, it was not, it was a middle seat. I asked a flight attendant to relocate me to a window seat, which she kindly did, however this seat was quite uncomfortable as I was seated next to a large gentleman who probably should have been required to purchase two seats. Overall, there were two issues with Qatar Airways during this trip: they did not give me the seat I had requested and paid for, and then lied when I asked if my new seat was a window."

These things happen, I understand, but most upsetting was the fact that Qatar Airways provided very little information to those of us missing our flights. While on the plane, when those of us with short layovers mentioned that we may be late, we were told "you'll be fine - they hold the planes for a bit." When we deboarded the plane from New York, we ere wrangled into groups depending on our destinations. Many of us assumed that we were going to be taken to our next flights as we had been told they would be waiting for us. The airline rep in charge of my group refused to tell us any information, however, only admitting after we got confrontational with her that we had missed our flights. She then offered no information about what would happen to us, telling us we'd find out when we got to the rebooking counter. Very unprofessional. I was told that I would have to wait for another 24 hours for the next flight, necessitating that I would spend the night in Qatar. I was put up in a hotel that was decent, but again that offered very little in terms of customer service. We were given an $80 meal allowance, but despite me not using it, I was nickeled and dimed in other aspects to where I ended up paying $20 to help reschedule a flight that I had missed in my destination country. The whole ordeal was a nightmare and mostly due to poor communication and very cold, almost robotic interactions with the QA staff on the ground in Doha."

Nadelen: "There's no dedicated Garuda counter for internet checked-in international passengers at Soekarno Hatta T3; you need to queue together with the other passengers. I've put a formal suggestion before to Garuda several months ago; seems nobody care. Gate information is confusing, initially shown gate number at *domestic* terminal; then changed again twice. In the end they took you on a bus-ride to domestic gate; need to climb a couple of narrow stairs (good luck for older people); the escalator next to it is set for descending only while the ground crew doing nothing. Then your plane are on the 7th queue for another 20 minutes. Food is mediocre, in flight entertainment suddenly went blank and resetting for several minutes."

Voordelen: "Beautiful NEW Terminal at Jakarta!, but Plenty of food outlets. Waiting areas are very large and accommodating. Security area is large and extremely efficient in processing passengers. Security personnel were friendly."
Nadelen: "Due to the enormous inside volume it is impossible to maintain a pleasant air temperature. It's nearly impossible to hear any announcements due to the extremely poor acoustics. The large open spaces and ceramic tile floors aren't conducive to hearing anything! No announcement to the departure time as we were already 20 minutes past the established boarding time as indicated on the boarding pass. I was sitting quite close to the check-in counter and was able to decipher that the boarding process was going to happen soon, so I took a position in the line without any announcement."

Nadelen: "The only negative feedback was the transit in Depansar whereby luggages have to be claimed when transferred from international to domestic terminal. This is cumbersome and time consuming. As luggage have to be check on again. I do hope they will have auto self transferred in the near future."

Nadelen: "These particular planes did not have outlets to charge my smartphone. Only USB chargers which didn't work very well."

Nadelen: "The company cancelled my flight and threatened to recharge for the seats. Had to plead to keep the flight I PAID for. Unbelievable and I will not be booking again with either company or agency in the future."

Voordelen: "Some of the staff were very nice. the plane was not full so was able to sleep whole flight."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed 1 hour. we get on plane. then an announcement that in previous flight plane hit a bird so they needed to dissemble the plane. we got off plane at 11:26 pm. waited there. received a text announcement it would leave now at 2 am. the staff on site did not announce this information till 12:45 am. we waited and then got good news flight was going to take off. not in a logical way the plane took off all our luggage off the plane. and then could not add our luggage back on to the plane because tsa was now closed. so paperwork for getting luggage was poorly committed. not bright people. I hope my luggage arrives like they say a day later."

Voordelen: "Ai pu dormir tout le trajet, sur trois sièges. Donc voyage TRÈS reposant!"

Voordelen: "The headline says it all!"

Voordelen: "Flight attendant was very kind and helpful. I was very tired and was feeling a little under the weather. She checked in with me frequently throughout the flight to make sure I was well, brought me hot water to sip on, and just made sure I was as comfortable as possible. My regret is that I didn’t catch her name."

Voordelen: "J'ai rarement si bien voyagé en classe économique. Siège confortable, beaucoup de place pour les jambes, ecran HD avec films récents, nourriture recherché et excellente et équipage au petit soin !"

Voordelen: "Smooth flight and I sleep well, excellent service , it was a long flight but can’t complain ,"
Nadelen: "I didn’t like that I was seating next to the toilet coz I can smell when someone is using it"

Voordelen: "The flight was on time and the crew was very attentive. Loved Cathay Pacific’s signature non alcoholic drink”Ocean Breeze”."
Nadelen: "The food was really not at the level you would expect. There was only a pork and a fish option. The fish was fishy and the dessert was gelatin cake thing that did not appease my dessert craving."

Voordelen: "Movie choices."
Nadelen: "The weather delay was understandable - boarded flight 19 hours later than scheduled, but then there was a problem with the engine, that delayed us further by 5 hours. We had to sit on the aircraft for 5 extra hours on top of what was already an extra long flight. 21 hours on the plane - and there was no coffee! Being on a plane for that long, you should be able to get a cup of coffee. Staff seemed annoyed as well and were overall a bit rude. Wine tasted like acid."

Voordelen: "On time."

Voordelen: "The flight was not full so it was a very comfortable flight. We enjoyed the dumplings for breakfast!"

Nadelen: "I remember Cathay pacific having nice planes, but I guess things have changed. Plane, bathrooms, everything was downright dirty. Basically the only thing Cathay Pacific has going for it is direct LAX to HK, but that's it. I will try to avoid Cathay in the future"

Voordelen: "Small leg room, seat don't decline enough,"

Voordelen: "None"

Voordelen: "Airline staff so helpful and nice, sets had loads of space, I was seated at the back of the plane when they ran out of meals before our row, I said it's fine I'll just have bread rolls but she got me their staff meals yum, air hostess was so lovely"
Nadelen: "None"

Voordelen: "not a full flight so obviously more comfortable"
Nadelen: "did not like having to deplane then reboard"

Voordelen: "Smooth operator"

Voordelen: "Flight attendant spoke good Mandarin and was willing to continue to speak it even to someone who didn't look like a Chinese speaker - unlike some Chinese airlines where they launch into English assuming that if you don't look Chinese you can't speak Chinese."
Nadelen: "A glass of wine or beer would have been lovely."

Voordelen: "I travel Canada-Australia a lot. Best trip so far."

Voordelen: "Cathay Pacific has the most attentive flight attendants of any airline on the planet. We had a tight connection in Hong Kong. They accommodated us, by having us move up to Business Class just before landing so that we could get off the plane first. We made our connection without any problem."

Nadelen: "The guy in front reclined for the whole 14 hour flight so I didn't have much leg room."

Nadelen: "Impossible to contact by chat or phone.... prefer Singapore airlines..."

Voordelen: "Excellent, kind, professional crew and timely flight."

Nadelen: "New Istambul airport requires walking 20-25 minutes when arriving and the same amount when departing. Even if huge you need to take a bus a walk under the rain. Bad planning"

Nadelen: "When we arrived they tried to convince us to let our 4 year old fly w a broken tray table. After escalating they wanted to remove us but some other passengers intervened and helped. Entertainment system totally sucks. Movie selection was good but a headache to navigate."

Nadelen: "Bagage non reçu. Un bagage sur 10 bagages, quelle mauvaise organisation"

Voordelen: "L'organisation."
Nadelen: "L'équipage ne fais pas d'effort pour comprendre ce qu'on lui demande dans une autre langue à part l'anglais. C'est un vol international et je pense que c'est important de parler français aussi."

Voordelen: "The friendliness and the ease of flying alone."

Nadelen: "The lack of communication with the employee who had my boarding pass and did not provide the wheel chair. I waited in an area waiting, he moved to another area without letting me know. Finally I nearly made it to the gate, on the bus and on the plane. It did not give me the chance to relax at the lounge as I paid for a business class ticket. I felt not being taken care of properly and as expected."

Voordelen: "Un grand merci pour avoir été surclassés lors de ce vol qui fut des plus agréable . Le personnel a été charmant et compète a l’aerop et pendant le vol !"

Nadelen: "The staff was not great. An issue with a first class customers made them move around economy customers like they ' really not even people but utilities, all that for that one person. If they would have informed and talked with the other customers that would have been fine but being treated like a piece of furniture isn't nice. Plus, continuous strikes in Belgium see a joke, check-in luggages delayed for plenty of airlines. This country doesn't even know what strike mean anymore being so often..."

Nadelen: "Flight was late leaving Nairobi due to a catering issue. Missed connection through Istanbul to Manchester. Placed on AF flight to Paris then Manchester. Paris flight was delayed. Missed connection to Manchester. Paid for my own hotel room overnight in Paris CDG. Flight will arrive a day late in Manchester. That means I have missed my flights from Manchester to UK with Air Lingus (booked through Kayak website) It seems I must now purchase a new ticket to get home from Manchester to Nashville. All expenses I can ill afford. Lesson learned...cannot afford to use Kayak anymore...sorry."

Turkish economise des droits d aeroports sur le dos de sa clientele Personnel de l aeroport ne fait que taper la discute entre eux alors que la clientele n en peut plus d attendre.."
