Firstly the flight was delayed, these things happen but nevertheless I end up missing my connecting Qatar flight to Belgrade, put into a horrible little hotel for 24hrs without my bag, no clothes or toiletries. At one point during the flight once everyone had their chairs reclined one hostess told me to not put mine so far back?!?! Then when asked well then person in front of me has to move theirs forward and her response no they don’t. Absolutely shocking. To think I wanted to upgrade to business class. I’m traveling the globe over the next year and thought let me try Qatar but never again with this type of service and how they treat their customers."

Voordelen: "The plane was new and spotless, the crew did everything possible to make the flight great. Food service, and Wine and Cocktails were always served with a smiling face and it made you think of flying many years ago. Service cleanliness of the restrooms and staff were top notch"

Nadelen: "Even after online checkin. Just to drop the bags it took 1 hr. The thin old black lady at the baggage drop off counter was very partial in treating people. She allowed a black male take 27.8 kgs but asked us to adjust our bags when we had 23 kgs. Also if the passenger is allowed to carry a laptop bag, according to her training and theory she only knows 1 shape and does not recognize a back pack which has only the laptop. I travelled several times in Qatar, but never had this kind of experience."

Nadelen: "same remark : Before our trip we called Kayak service desk with the request to reserve our seats. The answer obtained was that we should do it online. When we went online there were almost no more seats available so we decided to go to the check in counter in the airport. Although we were more than 3 hours in advance in the airport there were almost no seats available. We were very disappointed about this service, we never experienced this with any other airline companies..."

Nadelen: "But the onboarding was a bit disorganized. The zone method was confusing to non native speakers so everyone was confused. It then become chaotic. Also the 320 product was too different than the 350 flight"

Nadelen: "Not having available air for the center seats made our flight a truly awful experience. The older style seats are actually more comfortable for taller and larger people. My wife was virtually ignored by the male crew on her side of the aircraft."

Nadelen: "Long flight on a 777-200. Crowded aircraft, crew not very attentive to call light, and food mediocre at best. Entertainment service was horrible, old movies and typical Qatar Airline selection of Bollywood films (Expected when flying from Doha, but not New Zealand!) Seat would not recline, but no option to move to another isle seat."

Nadelen: "I checked in a couple of hours after checkin open but unfortunately I could not get my preferred window seat, got a middle instead. But still the leg room would have been ok but the middle seat (second row behind the bilkhead row) had the front passenger's entertainment system arranged across the footwell, not sideways, so it completely blocked the footwell and prevented any stretching of the legs. I am a tall passenger and this caused much discomfort on the flight, I had to keep getting up to walk around. I also found the seat bottom quite uncomfortable (not enough padding I think), butnghis could have been made worse by the footwell issue. Regards Neil"

Nadelen: "The crew has no control over passengers. Specifically, it is the cabin supervisors responsibility to maintain order on the flight. Everyone before boarding, during boarding and during the flight kept sitting in incorrect seats, no boarding passes checked. Felt like a zoo on the airline. Very disappointed."

Voordelen: "I was promised Wifi on all flights when I called customer service and I was frustrated I only had it on 2 out of the 4 flights ... And the connection was bad. I needed to work and planned on it after I heard the wifi was available for purchase."
Nadelen: "Did not like there was no wifi when I was told there was. The food was good and the service as well... It was comfortable !"

Luggage limited to 2 pieces, even as GOLD FF, was made to pay US$200 dollars on a ticket of already 3,500 dollars and the price is the same for F-C-Y! The treatment was really commerce, as if the check in gets a commission"

Voordelen: "Since not enough room in "What could have been better". For as long as my second flight was, from Dubai to Boston, the seats in coach were criminal!!! Way to narrow, especially if sitting next to a large person. Not nearly enough distance to seat in front of you, can't even bend over to reach some-"
Nadelen: "thing on the floor. The seats do NOT recline enough to be able to relax & get shuteye. It would have been really nice to have a footrest of some type, even busses have those! I am a small person, 5'1'' and 110 lb. Consider not having such a huge gap between 1st class and economy. Way over crowded."

Nadelen: "Check the head phone sets have both speakers working. I had to ask for a different set which was fine"

Voordelen: "Boarding and Crew are excellent. That's why i prefer to fly with Emirates. Toilets are clean"
Nadelen: "On this flight, the Gluten Free snack wasn't good. Only one meal was served. For a 10 hour flight, there should be two meals. A snack was served towards the end of the flight. The GF snack was not good! it was two rice cakes with chicken inside. I felt as if they ran out of GF bread!"

Nadelen: "That i didn't receive my bucket list dream of an upgraded flight but that literally was thing that could have improved a really great flight..."

Nadelen: "My screen didn't work properly and only after asking about it 4+ times were we moved to other seats. Unfortunately the new seats were double middle seats for my husband and I who left window and aisle seats respectively. Please fix your entertainment, Emirates."

Voordelen: "Comfortable seats, enough space for legs, helpful crew, We were offered a voucher to stay in a hotel close to the airport to get a few hours of sleep or relaxation. The voucher included lunch and dinner with good food.."
Nadelen: "I didn't like the long delay to stay in the airport on hard chairs before leaving Cape Town. The delay affected all the other connections with long periods of stay in the airports. The whole flight was rough, being shaken all the time."

Nadelen: "Flight attendants not friendly, some downright rude and looked like they hated their jobs (bumped into seats, rushed service, visibly irritated when people would ask for assistance), my video wasn’t working properly and was told “it’s an old plane, there is nothing we can do, it will be retired soon, we can get you some you some magazines”, food was terrible."

Nadelen: "crew doesn’t seem to talk to each other. advised multiple times that my touch screen didn’t work and that i didn’t want the jain meal. your check-in interface does not allow changing food preferences. this should change"

Nadelen: "The flight on the B777 was most uncomfortable, even in Business Class. Will avoid any flight in this aircraft/airline in future"

Nadelen: "The seating room in the 747 with 10 seats per row is limiting and uncomfortable. The passenger beside me was pushing well into my space, and the rambunctious flight attendants kept marching right into me and banging my seat with the cart, once also spilling water all over me. (Though she was very nice about it, and I wasn’t upset with her personally.)"

Nadelen: "It took Emirates a while to let passengers out. 1 hr layover is just barely in enough, expect to run or fast walk to connecting flights. Not organize when boarding aircraft."

Voordelen: "It was fine. Crew was pleasant, though obviously stretched thin. Food was decent. We ran a little late boarding, but they managed to take off almost on time."
Nadelen: "The 777 was crowded and had very little leg room. Our seats were worse than most, as they were over the wing which limited visibility and restricted the already limited leg room of that passenger even more."

Voordelen: "The cabin crew always smiled and were friendly. At no time did it appear that they were just pretending to be enjoying their job. They worked with great effectiveness."
Nadelen: "The sandwich served with mayonnaise and chicken was at room temperature. It didn't set well with my stomach. The plane landed and then parked so far away from the terminal. It took a half hour to exit the plane, board the non-air conditioned bus, and arrive at the terminal. The shuttle bus was extremely uncomfortable!"

Voordelen: "As comfortable as can be expected in economy class... more comfortable than other carriers to be sure. Service from the flight crewy was excellent. The food actually quite good."

Voordelen: "Good sleep is most important & emirates is very good in this regard. Food is only fair especially the hot food served at dinner. Wines served are generally of a good to a high standard. Some crew members are better than others. Some are really excellent including any of the Irish members of the team - they always standout with their warmth, friendship & ability to read people & situations."

Nadelen: "Crew was unprofessional Bags got lost and took forever for any bags to go through on carrousel They boarded nearly an hour before take off and process was very disorganized Hardly any water served"

Nadelen: "We moesten ons erg haasten vanwege vertraging van de eerste vlucht. Door ern beladingsfout had de vlucht ook nog erns bijna 3 uren vertraging. En dan blijkt ook nog eens dat onze koffers niet meegenomen zijn."

Nadelen: "We vertrokken met vertraging. We konden maar net op tijd het boarden van de volgende vlucht halen."

Voordelen: "I flew business class and they do an exceptional job of making you comfortable. Great seats that allow you to completely lie down and an attentive staff."
Nadelen: "The entertainment was surprisingly uninteresting during this trip. Previously it's been better. The food options were also not as good, but the food was a notch above most other airlines so can't complain too much."

Voordelen: "Seats are way better than other airlines and the entertainment systems is way better. Finally, someone decided it would be a good idea to provide power outlets in a plane. Why was that so hard?"

Nadelen: "I missed the first segment of my flight due to an accident and traffic on the way to the airport. I was asked to pay $1200 to get on to the next flight (without any warning that my subsequent segments will be suspended) so I bought an one way to Dubai from NYC. Then my subsequent flights were all suspended and I had to buy a new set of flights for the remaining of the trip. I didn't get to take any of the flights I purchased through Kayak."

The booking agent didn’t complete all the way in the computer. I am thankful that I had my original paper and Swiss airlines fix it"

Also, I sometimes appreciate a bit more empathy in the way things get announced - no announcement for security video or when they disrupt a movie with their Swiss commercial clips - they just turn it on. Not abtreat experience."

Voordelen: "It was an 8.5 hour flight and we got fed 2 meals, 2 snacks and had lots of beverage breaks! We were delayed a little but it was due to an issue in France, not anything to do with the airplane, and the captain found a solution faster than he had originally said he would (with the help of the tower of course)."

Nadelen: "Being FORCED to spend extra money simply to be able to reserve the last row of two seats, in the faint hope of being able to achieve some level of comfort which was unattainable on the first flight. Having only two seats in our row and the one in front of us made the flight tolerable, but also enhanced the ludicrous ineptitude of the previous flight, wherein we were treated like so much livestock in a train car, heading for slaughter. I will never, NEVER, fly Swiss Air again."

Nadelen: "The staff was not great. An issue with a first class customers made them move around economy customers like they ' really not even people but utilities, all that for that one person. If they would have informed and talked with the other customers that would have been fine but being treated like a piece of furniture isn't nice. Plus, continuous strikes in Belgium see a joke, check-in luggages delayed for plenty of airlines. This country doesn't even know what strike mean anymore being so often..."

Nadelen: "Plane was old, felt more squished and the seats did not decline. Also very note."

Voordelen: "I had heart surgery and they would not refund us the money Even after I got a note from my doctor that I would die on the airplane from the cabin pressure change they did not care"

Voordelen: "Likes: The staff were prompt and friendly. The food was more varied and imaginative than on other airlines. Also, the fact that you get a refund, without any hassle, if you need to change your travel plans, makes this airline unique."
Nadelen: "Suggestions: A few more centimetres of space between the rows of seats would work wonders. A piece of fruit (apple or tangerine) would add to the enjoyment of the food. A wider range and variety of movies would increase the quality of the entertainment."

Nadelen: "The flight to Lviv was cancelled after 3 hours delay. All happens in life. But the only option Turkish airlines were offering is to fly the next day. I was flying to the funeral and this was not working for me (especially this was their second flight to Lviv cancelled - 2 in a row). The transfer desk didn't inform that there were two other flights going the same day of other airlines. When i approached to help me to go with a different airline the personal was very rude saying they will not help transferring the luggage and that they can't unload the luggage sooner than 3 hours after you go out of the security and passport control. When i asked to book to a different destination in Ukraine. It took 50 min at the desk to do it. Simply because 4 people at the desk were laughing and joking and nobody was concerned about the queue of over 40 people staying. After 30 min it turned out they've lost my boarding pass and it took 15 min to find it as one of the transfer guys managers simply took it to a different room... At the end when they found it it took only 5 min to do the work. I would appreciate more information from the desk about available flights and more support to manage the situation. I'm happy that people at the transfer desk are so joyful and happy it obviously helps to deal with the stressed passengers whose flight was cancel."

Nadelen: "It was a struggle to get our hotel from the turkish hotel desk crew. We were travelling from Cape Town to Toronto with a little baby and had a layover of approx 10 hours at Istanbul. They claimed that our layover was 9 hr 40 mins (and not 10 hours) and I had to argue before we finally got a transit hotel. Their customer service is poor."

Nadelen: "My flight tonight (0078) from MIA to Istanbul was delayed by over 5 hours. I am traveling with an infant and it has been IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone to help us. Finally, someone at the airport helped in re-booking our flights but I have yet to have anyone give me an answer regarding compensation! In addition, we are traveling with an infant which isn't easy but we had the bassinet seat on our original flight. Now it's sold out for the flight tomorrow and no one will assist in trying to help get us better seats. I understand things are out of your companies control but being in an airport with an 18-month baby isn't easy and no one in this company has made this crazy travel schedule easier. I would like someone to call me back or email me with something that could maybe be done to help us! No one at the call center will help!"

Nadelen: "Crew was disorganized. Half the plane didn't get the bread that was supposed to be on the breakfast menu. Service was slow and not enough crew. Also had to wait 30 minutes to use the bathroom because the crew told me I couldn't go into the one I was already in line for and the other one was being cleaned. Seats were more cramped than most airlines (and I'm short)."

Nadelen: "Seat comfort and legroom in Economy is below standards for even a domestic flight. Flew for over 21 hours on two concurrent flights and I was almost insane. Last leg was on Jet Blue and I felt like I was in First Class with their leg room and seats."

Voordelen: "I always enjoy flying with Turkish airlines it is a breeze from check in all the way destination from food to entertainment it all runs so smooth I will fly with u any day so far that is the best"

Nadelen: "The Sabiha Gökçen airport in Istanbul is discrageful, and changing flights there is always a horrible experience. But this is not, of course, the fault of THY. The airport is simply too small for the current number of flights."

There was no information and no help, and the gate was already closed. The people at the ground terminal knew no foreign languages. All they could say was 'I do not know. This is not my responsibility'. Completely disorganised."

Voordelen: "Very accommodating staff, food and drink provided. First time traveling on Turkish airlines but would definitely do again."
Nadelen: "New boarding area in Istanbul, very stuffy and hot. Did not bother to use board groups so everyone is standing around trying to get on plane. Luggage retrieval in ATL too excessive time."

Nadelen: "My flight dates were changed by the airline which made me change many of my plans. My son's seat was broken and Tv didn't work (13 hour flight). Overall uncomfortable seats with very minimum seat recline option. Poor food. Staff was little "cold" and not attentive."

Voordelen: "Je suis allergique à la moutarde et aux à l’avance d’en faire part sur le site d’enregistrement. J’ai tenté d’appeler mais après avoir perdu 20 minutes j’ai abandonné. Conséquence j’ai mangé un bout de pain et une barre tendre! De plus, le personnel était plus ou moins compréhensif et accomodant."
