Voordelen: "Due to the breakdown in diplomatic relations between the United States and Turkey, we were not able to secure non-immigrant visas to enter Turkey, so we had to cancel our plans to Istanbul. It is a bit of a comfort to note that Turkish Airlines seems likely to refund us the price of our tickets. I appreciate it, because I don't think they are legally obligated, though it is the ethical thing to do."
Nadelen: "However, even getting our money back on the airline tickets won't reverse the disappointment of going through all of the effort and coordination to plan the trip. I intended to take my nephew to Istanbul, a city I've never been to and always pined to visit, and had encouraged a local friend whose son, close in age to my nephew, is studying music in Istanbul at this time. My nephew is studying in Valencia, and we thought it would be a really fun and memorable experience for them to meet, and maybe they would have decided to do some traveling together in the future or my friend's son could have visited my nephew in Valencia at some point this school year. All these plans went down the drain when we couldn't get visas. We are having to content ourselves with southern Spain instead."

Nadelen: "Lagos Cairo flight is very poor and old plane, and we had 2hours delay Cairo Dubai better plane but due to the delay initially another delay in Cairo"

Nadelen: "For more than 10 hours' flying, would expect far better plane with newer seats and more toilets !! same like they fly between Cairo and London and Dubai (777 etc ..) Also the fish was not tasty at all"

Voordelen: "I had checked in online and went to drop my check in bags at the counter. There was no baggage drop line - only economy and business class. I went to business class and said that I had checked in online and want to drop my bags and they gladly accepted it"

Nadelen: "Long flight ... could not sleep... Not your fault :) I'm very tall so the comfort for me was not as good as it could have been due to limited leg room. Please try to keep us in mind and /or try to get tall folks leg room seats. Thanks.. Happy security was good, but it was a bit slow."

Nadelen: "To most Arabs, broadcasting a prayer before taking off is routine and goes without notice. To foreigners, it could initiate fear about the safety of the plane as it projects a need to rely on a super power to make it. It's cultural and could be misunderstood."

Nadelen: "Boarding was literally unsafe (too many people going down an escalator into too small an area). Terribly bland food. Buttons on the seat rest too easy to push accidentally (for things like the light or to call a flight attendant)."
Voordelen: "Attendants were courteous and the spacing is better than some airlines, but that’s about it."
Nadelen: "Check in was a disaster: no logical control of 100s of people; delayed on the tarmac for 1:45 for a “minor technical reason” that apparently had nothing to do with the actual operation of the plane that prevented me from making my next flight. Food was terrible. Flight attendants could have been more helpful about my missed connection."

Voordelen: "I like that the bulkhead seats (typically where the baby bassinet is placed) have electrical outlets which I used to easily charge my phone; and that there is nice legroom space."
Nadelen: "Economy is a bit tight; the bidding process for Cloud Nine (business class) has reduced the chance of passengers being upgraded for free especially as a means to reward frequent flyers, or help passengers with special needs/accommodations."
Nadelen: "The lateness. Very bad. 2h45min late, unbelievable. And also the airhostesses services are very poor. I have to claim more time before they give me water for my food."
Nadelen: "Lost my bags, missed two connections due to delays, took a bus home instead"
Voordelen: "We were told by United that Ethiopian Airlines does not allow more than 2 checked bags per customer, but that is absolutely not the case. We ended up driving to LA and found that Ethiopian accepts as many bags as we will pay for."

Voordelen: "Food was fantastic for such a short flight. It essentially ticks most of the boxes I would be concerned with for a flight of this length."
Nadelen: "Got an exit row seat so plenty of room but the seat itself is simply uncomfortable."
Voordelen: "Other than the luggage issue, it was a great flight."
Nadelen: "I purchased this ticket as ONE ticket--Ethiopian Air to Dubai, and then flydubai to Amman. Ethiopian Air wouldn't check my luggage to my final destination, so in Dubai, for a 3 hour layover, I had to go through immigration, exchange money, and take a taxi for 30 minutes through rush-hour traffic to a different terminal. That is ridiculous. Don't sell it as one ticket if the two airlines won't cooperate together."

Nadelen: "The movie screen (attached to the ceiling) was broken and throught the duration of the 2h30 minute flight, mechanically lowered and raised itself nonstop, making a constant disturbing grinding noise"

Nadelen: "Somewhat dirty ( and smelly ) aircraft even though they are a very new fleet. Some seats had strange patches and stains. Overall cabin experience can be improved in terms of hygiene and food quality ( food was mediocre or slightly worse)"

Nadelen: "I was very cold cos i forgot my jacket. I requested for blanket from different attendants but they never gave me one. They would respond ok but never got back to me. One told me they were looking for blankets and will get me one when found. They were all so busy with food matters. To my utmost surprise after several hours when they were done with food matters blankets began floating around in their numbers. I was really really sad"
