No kiosks for self service, no identification of which line to wait in for what, lines spilling over into common area with >100 people and their luggage waiting. Waited almost an hour just to get a boarding pass."

Nadelen: "A 6-hour international flight should provide food and entertainment. I flew Toronto to Port of Spain. No free food (not even pretzels), no inflight entertainment system, cramped seats with poor legroom, grumpy flight attendants, an hour delayed due to disorganized boarding process."
Nadelen: "More clearly written policy about baggage allowance"
Voordelen: "How I was treated How I felt was wonderful."
Voordelen: "Excellent lounge experience preflight, plus the Signature Suite was right by our boarding gate so very handy. Flight was on time and service was excellent."
Voordelen: "The flight was uneventful, lucked out with exit aisle."
Nadelen: "Boarding took way too long. Typically an airline will ask people to voluntarily check their overhead luggage free of charge if they know it's a full flight, not on this flight. Instead, they tried to get everyone to board with luggage in hand, then once they realized there was not enough space they asked people to hold on to their luggage while they came through the plane to tag it and stow it below - very inefficient and made the boarding process crazy as people tried to make their way around luggage that was sitting in the aisles."
Nadelen: "Our flight was delayed from Honolulu. This made Customs and Screening stressful...as there was only 45 minutes to get through and then to the gate. No one advised that there was another plane shortly, which would have reduced the feeling that we had to sprint down to the gate. Otherwise a very good flight"
Voordelen: "The passengers, the Brussels airport retail area, 1 of the flight attendants who was polite and welcoming, and the entertainment selections. Finally being connected to Swiss staff."
Nadelen: "The crew was not very welcoming and was borderline rude when I asked any sort of question such as why I was not allowed to wear my headphones prior to take off. I was patient in not wearing them, but could not relaxing into the trip for the 40+ minutes we remained on the ground mostly not moving. I was tired when boarding and fumbled with my documents and was very curtly told to just hand them over. Another time I accidentally mistook headphones the stewardess was handing out for something else. I took a pair and then immediately gave them back with an apology that I didn't realise what they were, but thanked her anyway. This was met with a scowl and a bit of opposition. There was one stewardess that was very nice and accommodating out of the entire crew. On top of this the toilet seat on the plane was broken, so it fell on you when you were trying to go to the bathroom, and the soap dispenser was broken. I didn't dare mention these things to the flight crew though. The plane was late taking off from Montreal, and so was late landing in Brussels. No effort was made to provide connections assistance, or provide directions on where to go to rebook our missed connections. I and all others traveling to Zurich spent the entire morning trying to find anyone from Air Canada to help us rebook our flights. We literally were going from desk to desk between two terminals, and consulting each other as we went to limit the amount of leg work we all had to do. We all had to finally leave the terminal area and go to Swissport and stand in a long slow line. By that time any afternoon flight was already overbooked. So I and a group of other passengers were booked for an evening flight which forced me to book a hotel in Zurich because I couldn't get to where I needed to be that evening. After being rebook, I still tried to get on an earlier flight by going directly to the gate. It was confirmed that there was some extra space available, but they would not switch me to the earlier flight because I had a checked bag that I could not separate me from. Ultimately my bag was lost which made me have to stay awake and in the Zurich airport even longer after I finally arrived going from one lost baggage representative to another, and then waiting in another line to finally fill out paperwork because my bag had never been scanned in Brussels. The Zurich representatives were very polite, helpful, and efficient compared to anyone I encountered in Montreal, or Brussels. I was without my bag for 3.5 days of what was supposed to be a 10 day trip. My trip was reduced to 9 days because I spent an entire day in the Brussels airport and then had to spend the night in Zurich. I arrived in Zurich on Saturday night, and received my bag on Tuesday afternoon. All in all it was not a good experience until I got to Switzerland."
Voordelen: "The flight itself was very good The plane was quite new. Very comfortable seats and plenty of leg room with nothing obstructing the foot space. Good inflight entertainment and complimentary earbuds. Flight attendents were capable and friendly, food service better than average."
Nadelen: "Check-in at the Air Canada counter was chaotic, a long lineup with only one agent available to direct the crowd. She coped well considering there were multiple people asking questions at the same time. There was a small sign instructing persons who had obtained boarding passes and luggage tags to go to baggage drop but no signs or separate lanes to indicate where that was. Very disorganized. At the gate it was the same scenario. Agents at adjacent desks were calling boarding instructions for multiple flights at the same time. Our Vancouver flight was never actually announced but passengers all started lining up because the stated boarding time had passed. It was impossible to tell which flight was calling for which boarding zones and everyone was wondering out loud "what is going on here?" Once finally aboard we sat on the runway, our flight left an hour late and we missed our connecting flight in Vancouver which, I realize happens. However..."
Voordelen: "The flight to Santiago was good.. everything flowed well and there were no mess ups from air canada."
Nadelen: "on the way home from Santiago to Toronto, Air Canada made an error and did not check my bags al the way through to my final destination and made me go back through security and customs and re check my bags.. making it so I missed my connecting flight home and lost my job! I had to work that day and the mishap completely threw mms schedule off and costed me my job."
Voordelen: "Nothing to like here"
Nadelen: "Late, crew was rude and plane was dirty!"
Voordelen: "Nice staff"
Nadelen: "Uncomfortable chairs"
Voordelen: "The gate agents were polite and the boarding was relatively smooth. Food was fine and flight attendants were Excellent!!!"
Nadelen: "First point of contact was incredibly rude. First she told me she couldn't find my reservation. Once she did, she gave me a lecture about my married name. Next she refused to let me take my carry on bag saying it was too large even though it fit on all flights to Montreal. Once I proved it would fit with the luggage sizer she had moved on to another customer and ignored me for 10 minutes while I stood there even though my boarding passes were printed. When I got to the flight, I found it could have been gate checked but there was no need as the flight was NOT FULL and my bag fit with no problem at all in the overhead bins. In 35 years of flying this was the worst experience I've ever had."
Voordelen: "crew was great, good service"
Nadelen: "no vegetarian dinner option plastic cup cracked striaght up the side during normal use and spilled red wine on my pants - this happened to other passengers as well"
Voordelen: "The end of the trip and delivery of luggage 24 hours after arriving in Vienna"
Nadelen: "Old and partly broken plane, horrible food. 2 officials to immigrate hundreds of people at Brussels. Breakdown of luggage system in Brussels. No luggage at arrival in Vienna."

Nadelen: "Everything else. No entertainment unless you download their app, food is lower quality, and there was over 4 hours delay in departing! Never flying again with A.C. Rouge"

Nadelen: "Delayed flight with no explanation, no WiFi access (it wasn't working), and the service was okay - they weren't stellar or poor."
Voordelen: "This time I didn't have to pick up my luggage in Toronto, it was lucky!"
Voordelen: "put us up in decent hotels gave food vouchers the crew didn't do anything to make it horrible Large selection of movies/tv on board comfiest seats out of all the major airlines I've flown"
Nadelen: "The flight kept getting delayed bc of mechanical problems, and then eventually cancelled. They rebooked everyone on new flights, but it took an extra stop in Toronto before getting us to Montreal. Once it was rebooked for the morning, it took off a little late. Plus the pretzels they gave us were stale. This was the first of two flights I took this trip that had mechanical issues, so they obviously need to fix their planes better or get new ones, because two Air Canada flights in one day that have mechanical problems leaves me worried that the planes aren't in optimal condition. It took me over 24 hours to get from Tucson, AZ to Montreal, Canada when normal travel takes less than 8 hours including layovers."
Nadelen: "My flight was delayed and cancelled for 23 hours. The people working for Air Canada in LAS were rude and condisending. At the time of writing this, I haven't heard anything back from Air Canada on how they plan to reimburse me for the food, and travel to and from the to and from the Airport. Don't fly Air Canada! Hitch hike, it's more dependable than that trash airline"
Voordelen: "It was a normal flight. Only one hour."
Nadelen: "Snack options could have been better, only a biscuit."
Voordelen: "We were lucky as we were the only flights that made it out of NY that night. All other fights to Toronto and Montreal were cancelled. It was Chaos in the airport but our flight was nice."
Voordelen: "Dinner was ok, Breakfast and coffee were horrrible"
Nadelen: "Very rude staff, would not do anything I asked and responded with attitude"
Nadelen: "Oncomfortabele stoelen, Inflight entertainment werkte slecht"
Voordelen: "Nothing because it didn't happen"
Nadelen: "When I got to the airport, the attendant notified me that my flight had been exchanged. No one notified me of this and I was still under the impression that my flight was scheduled as my itenerary in my latest email. It took two hours to figure out that United had changed my flight and booked me on a different one. Once again, without notifying me. Thank god they changed my flight to a later one or I would have missed it. By the time we figured out what flight I was on, I had to sprint to a different terminal because check in was closing in 20 mins. I arrived at the check in kiosk with less than 5 mins to spare. The experience was terrible and customer service from each Kayak, United and Air Canada. I also injured my back while sprinting between terminals wearing a heavy backpacking backpack. Would not book through Kayak again."
Voordelen: "Treated well and basically enjoyable flight, which is saying something on an eleven hour flight."
Nadelen: "On the return flight we arrived an hour late, and though we were told that they were holding our connecting flight, it left on time, five minutes before we got to the gate."
Voordelen: "Passengers don't have the right to put their seat back as soon as they get up in the air, and then push the seat back Everytime they move it get up. Do they realize that if they are watching something, you don't need to recline? I had someone in front of me that basically used their seat to almost hit me in the face Everytime they moved while I tried to do a crossword puzzle and then later eat dinner!"
Nadelen: "See above!"
Voordelen: "Boarding in TO was horrific and had to stand more than an hour"
Voordelen: "I really liked the entertainment. Not knowing the Toronto airport I did ask a few crew for help where to go for customs and continuing flight. We got a ride to get closer to customs. After going through customs we asked again where to go for continuing flight and finally got to our location and they were just starting to board. Felt a little too rushed no time for bathroom break."
Nadelen: "Leg room not very much with bag in front under the seat in front of you. Legs fell asleep and knees locked really needed more room for legs."
Nadelen: "The tv in business class weren't really working... stopping the movies by it self and I had to always restart them until I gave up on watching a movie!"
Voordelen: "Air Canada Cancelled the flight, which would have been ok, but their representatives left the airport instead of sticking around to help people reschedule. Their phone line was flooded with so many calls that you couldn't even stay on hold. And their email service takes at least 24hrs before you get a response. So effectively the entire airline was unavailable, even after canceling many people's vacations. I'll never fly AC again."
Voordelen: "Everything was good, that day was to much therbulans. Thank you air Canada"

Nadelen: "Sits are a little cramped"

Nadelen: "I attempted to check in three times the day before online- only to be told that there was an error of some sort- and to check in upon arrival. Although our arriving flight arrived over an hour before the Scheduled departure time- yet we were told that the flight had been closed. Despite the fact that she could see my name and my husbands name on the screen for the flight. We informed her that we had attempted to check in online three times but we're not allowed to. I believe it had something to do with checked baggage. After demanding to speak to someone in charge- we were told that the airport supervisor needed to be told by air canada directly to reopen the flight to allow us on. At this time my husband has been on hold ( an international call- seeing as we were on an island) for nearly 30 minutes- finially someone picked up and essentially told us that there was no way for air canada to do that and in fact it was the arriving airline that we should be communucating with. At this point- we hung up. Fearing that we would be stuck there- although the plane had still not departed- but since the supervisor of the airport never physically appeared so that we could discuss the issue in person- I went to another airline , American, to try to find and pay for, mind you, another way to get my husband and myself home. After spending another $1500 to do so- we boarded the American flight and actually made it home before our scheduled time had we been allowed to board the air canada flight. Honestly- I'm not sure if it was air canada or the airport... But I do know that my husband and I will never fly air canada or honestly- I have no desire to go back to the airport where this incident happened- which is sad because I like to contribute to the tourism economy of small island countries... But this one is no longer in my list."

Nadelen: "Slight delay but related to the weather and not to the airline."
Nadelen: "No cookies or pretzels."
Voordelen: "The flight crew and the ground staff were nice enough."
Nadelen: "The new policy of charging $25 a flight just for a seat assignment means that it now costs $100.00 just to sit next to your travel companion. I understand charging extra something extra, like a service class upgrade or even some more legroom, but not just to get a seat next to your partner when you booked your flight months in advance. Bottom line: We didn't pay and ended up not just in different rows but in different boarding groups. However, now that we are at our destination, with the $100.00 we saved I'm going to sit next to my spouse at a very nice restaurant, enjoying a fine dinner! Seems like a better use of our money."
Voordelen: "I liked coming back home on time as scheduled."
Nadelen: "My flight to Vancouver was delayed and i was not even notified by email or any means. I arrived there very late and it cost me money when I had planned to take the train which was no longer running when I got there!"
Nadelen: "The movies selection is not good"
Voordelen: "Entertainment system worked well. Only watched one movie so not sure in selection. Nice to find entertainment included in the ticket price."
Nadelen: "Plane was 50 minutes late leaving Toronto, luggage took between 30 to 40 minutes to come out at Vancouver airport. Three flights were assigned to one carousel, while a nearby carousel had only one flight assigned to it and was not yet in use, presumably because the flight had not arrived and another nearby carousel was broken. Why not have at least one other flight use the unused, working carousel?"
Voordelen: "We liked everything about our flight, except my husband lost his luggage and it is not found, one day later ! ?"
Nadelen: "Lost luggage"
Voordelen: "They've replaced the ridiculous entertainment system with a much better one."
Nadelen: "Unwise cost-saving efforts in the Vancouver Maple Leaf Lounge - obscure magazines only, croissants/pastries replaced with a loaf of bread, etc."
Voordelen: "Nice plane."
Nadelen: "The flight was quite late. I was traveling alone with 3 kids and asked the attendant if he could help us get off early and/or find out at which gate our connecting flight was located. His response, "most people on here have connecting flights." We were unable to board the next flight despite running to get there with time to board, as "our suitcases would not make it." I feel the staff made no effort. At least 12 others also missed this connection and the very small plane could easily have been delayed to load the suitcases."

Nadelen: "Bad organization at Montreal for special passengers, plus technical pb => flight delayed 45mn"

Nadelen: "the staff are indifferent to a point of being rude. The food is dismal and their cost cutting measures really reflect how bad it has become. It functions like a budget airline now. Try to learn a thing or two from the airlines like Cathay Pacific, Singapore airlines and Qatar airlines."
Voordelen: "Great female flight attendant. So sweet."
Nadelen: "I watched the Big Short, which kept shorting. I had to stop the video about 15 times to get to the end. And one slice of cake is not adequate breakfast."
