Nadelen: "Information on when we can check in on upcoming flights. Other airlines we have booked for flights will email us 24 hours prior to departure. Virgin Atlantic did not. I had to call and I was directed to their web site and was able to check in on line. Thanks"

Voordelen: "Although there were delays they kept us informed on a regular basis as to what to expect and seemed genuinely apologetic for any inconveniences. Boarding and deplaning were smooth and efficient. I really appreciated that there was no charge for checking a bag. I am certain that contributes to the ease of everyone getting on and off the plane. Our bags arrived at baggage claim about the same time we got there. I would definitely fly with Virgin Atlantic again."

Voordelen: "Everything about my flights on Virgin Atlantic was amazing. The plane was new and comfortable, the seats seemed to recline more than in other airplane I have been. The entertainment was good with a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful and I had a really pleasant time talking with them. On the airport team side I can also say they were extremely helpful as I missed my flight and they promptly rebooked me on the next one 3h later, free of charge. I think the stress of missing a flight was completely deflected by the help of the Virgin Atlantic crew at the desk so thank you for that!"
Nadelen: "The only thing I would improve is the main dish in the meal. I loved all the small sides like the Boursin and crackers but I found the main meal a little bland l."

I got to the airport very early to get a good seat only to be that and was given a very uncomfortable seat where I couldn't stretch my legs well because of a box on the floor situated to my left leg and to make the matter even more annoying my screen was not working which I was forced to take one heavy meant-so-called laptop. And finally cabin crew were lacking serious customer service and when u ask for something they were just so reluctant to deliver as if we were given a free ticket or something. May it be noted that my ticket was not that cheap to be treated in such manner."

Voordelen: "The entertainment selection was good, though I didn't need to see the blurb about having vloggers available before every movie. One of the very few airlines to use boarding by rows, which speeds up the boarding process."
Nadelen: "The legroom is very cramped, pretty difficult to eat your meal with the seat in front reclined. The crew were not very attentive: they completely missed me while I was waving the rubbish on their collection rounds. In the end I had to dump it myself in the toilet bins. The PA system is too loud compared to the rest of the entertainment, had to remove the headphones for each one of them."

The head stewardess would not refill my sports water bottle after I asked her nicely, instead she poured water into a cup which she threw away, wasting plastic unnecessarily. I told her I did not like wasting plastic and she appeared to not enjoy what I had to say. This was the same lady who handed me my dinner. Rest of crew was great."

Nadelen: "The wifi did not work at all, and I think I was charged 3 times Landed 30 mins early and then waited an hour for the gate, I get that things happen but we have been on the plane for 11.5 hrs. Figure it out!"

Nadelen: "There was nothing to like, attendants were rude, seating was horrible, No room, no snacks, counter persons were even worse, tried to contact virgin australia over 12 times for booking confirm and itinerary, no replies ever, none from HQ in Brisbane. Virgin has NO customer service whatsoever, all they want is to take your money online and do nothing for paying customers. "Paying Customer", remember who we are??? The ones that pay for the worst service in the world. Well done Richard Branson!!"

Nadelen: "My seat was directly under the aircon and it was blowing very cold all night which made it quite uncomfortable. Fortunately I had an extra blanket which I could wrap over my head."

Nadelen: "I was very disappointed that even though I booked through Virgin Australia when their partner Delta didn't get us to LA on time from Minneapolis, Virgin Australia said its Deltas fault, talk to them. They were not going to help."

Nadelen: "It wasn't clear that we would need to pay to check our luggage, especially since every international flight I have ever been on allows you a checked bag at no cost. When we got to the airport it cost us $130 each to check our bag which we were told it would have been around $50 if we had done it online ahead of time (if we knew). $130 per bag is excessive for checked luggage and we were extremely frustrated and disappointed. I like to fly Virgin when I can due to comfort but that experience left much to be desired."

Voordelen: "Was a comfy flight thanks to not having anyone sitting next to me. If someone wouldve been next to me it wouldnt have been as nice because the seats are too bunched for international travel."
Nadelen: "My seat wouldnt recline properly. There were limited food options for non pork eaters. No outlets for power. How can you operate an international flight with nothing provided for those who need to charge their devices after some time. Not a smart design move."

Plus, continuous strikes in Belgium see a joke, check-in luggages delayed for plenty of airlines. This country doesn't even know what strike mean anymore being so often..."

Voordelen: "I very much enjoyed my flight from LA to Munich. The flight crew were awesome and the airplane was impeccably clean and quiet. The flight was so nice I consider it as part of the vacation! I highly recommend flying Luftansa :-)"

Nadelen: "Frankfurt airport: Had to walk for an hour to get from gate to gate. I was getting off an international flight and onto another international flight. International gates are usually closer than that. On the flight: 1. The armrests pull up, which is great if you're traveling with family or a significant other. But, in my case, it was an overweight and obese lady, who didn't fit in her seat and just slipped into half of mine. I was stuck with half a seat with her arm bumping mine for a 12-hour flight. I landed with a bruised arm. It was a round trip flight. When I had submitted a complaint, Lufthansa refunded me a 100$, which is nice of them, but I think they should have upgraded me for my return flight instead to make up for the first flight being uncomfortable. 2. I paid for the internet service and was charged double for it. Again, had to submit a complaint and was refunded the money. Nadelen: "The plane was half way full, i had the seat in the economy section same like a big guy, at one point i asked the flight attendant if i can change my seat to another economy seat (I didn't want a free upgrade) because the guy in my right could fit in his seat with the arm rest down and it was getting uncomfortable for me. She told me if i want a upgrade, witch I refuse to get and didn't help me in any way with the problem that i had. I think for cases like this even though it's an economy seat it still cost 750$ and for a 9h flight witch transformed in a 14h flight because weather condition and fueling problems, flight attendants should be more mindful with the guest confort rather than upselling. Lufthansa it's a geat company with great airplanes but i think that in order to get people to come back you should treat people in the economy class like normal people that pay a price nothing close to the word economy"

Waited for 3 hours then the flight to Dusseldorf was canceled. waited for 2 hours for a train ticket. then had to take another train to the airport to get a rental car. GOT TO THE HOTEL AT 11:30pm Saturday night had to be at work at 7:00am NOT HAPPY"

Nadelen: "Momondo sold me a so called 'go light' ticket (not disclosed anywhere though) meaning that only 1pc of carry on was allowed! No checked bags unless purchased. Could not see on the price of my ticket that this was the type of new generation low quality tickets. So tired of momondo."

Nadelen: "the staff constantly refused to help when they could and provided wrong information that caused me to miss my flight. i will never book through kayak because of this experience."

Voordelen: "- Seats are fairly comfy (as much as one can hope for an economy seat) - Excellent meals. I'm impressed that I'm getting things like ganache and cold-pressed juice in airline snacks!"

Nadelen: "Tried to call sas , no phone answered after 730 in Copenhagen, forced to buy my own ticket to leave early am as their incompetent sas transfer desk couldn’t find me a flight in am yet I was able on kayak.com. They refused to pay for it."

Voordelen: "Le personnel de bord a été très agréable et professionnel. L'embarquement à Stockholm est très bien fait et il n'y a pas de perte de temps."

Nadelen: "Boarding was shambolic and the 737 is not as nice as the new A320 in terms of comfort or amenity. Boarding was all over the place - and the gate agents clearly need extra people around for a full flight. One person for 170 ppl didn't feel right."

Nadelen: "Three and a half hour flight and all they offer free is coffee and soft drinks! The economy seats are small and the flight attendants are indifferent, until it's time to promote their duty free products. Find an airline with better customer service."

Voordelen: "Outside camera view, update on airplane location and ETA, seats were nice."
Nadelen: "Hate to sound entitled, but the movie selection was really poor. I flew on a connecting flight by Delta that had 10k+ movies and shows to choose from so that spoiled me."

Nadelen: "Tried THREE hours to get a phone picked up to cancel my flight the day before this scheduled flight. My friends booked with Expedia the exact itinerary and were able to reach a human and we're told that SAS always reimburses for cancellations. I finally emailed vayamas/kayak to cancel and 5 days later received a reply that there was no cancellation refund. Apparently Kayak provides a no communication/no refund policy. My travel companion had the opposite experience with Expedia."

Nadelen: "Almost 1hr delayed. The least SAS could do was to give a meal or something to eat for free."

Voordelen: "Front of the plane was business level service - back more like low cost. But the same staff numbers as low cost."
Nadelen: "Boarding very slow. Staff a bit inattentive"

Nadelen: "They charge me €70 for my bag and it should have been free!!"

Nadelen: "70euro baggage fee at counter check in while flying on SAS. The same fee is 13 Euro if is bag selected at the time of ticket booking. kayak never gave me the option."

Voordelen: "Even though I did not get the seat I paid extra for, it was a great flight."

Voordelen: "Crew were nice, boarding ok and on time, flight took shorter when planned."
Nadelen: "Premium seats didn't have enough leg room to stretch, they could change the wall into curtains as in Lufthansa."

Nadelen: "A very dishonest experience. The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. I am very disappointed to be 'tricked' in this way and consider it a very dishonest business practice."

Nadelen: "I Had checked several times to make sure I had 2 bags included ( standard for US-EU flights) and every time. At the airport I had to pay an extra charge for my second bag which made the flight very expensive and just ruined the whole experience for me"

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed, no entertainment, not many food options for people with certain dietary requirements."

Nadelen: "So many delays and lost luggage. The craziest was leaving Manchester. I was supposed to have 30 minutes after leaving security at Manchester and would have done if they hadn't decided to board early. That's ok but then we sat on the plane waiting which resulted in leaving later than the original time of departure and therefore a large run for my connection at Copenhagen. Was badly organized clearly."

I don't mind storing a bag under the seat but there's more stuff taking up legroom so it's hard to get the feet comfortable which is important for those longer flights."
