Nadelen: "Flight from Istanbul to Delhi was nightmare. It was like a local flight. Nothing called as comfort was there. I had to pay my own $ for alcohol and some snacks and 1 extra burger."

Nadelen: "The crew at check-in & at boarding checked me in to fly to Tel-Aviv (transiting at Istanbul) without any comment on visa or passport at Washington D.C. In Istanbul, I was not allowed to board on the flight to Tel-Aviv. I was not allowed to stay in Istanbul. Crew (Erin Uler) who stopped me from boarding the flight said he would help, but disappeared. Othes kept sending me back and forth between transfer desk and sales desk with inconsistent advice every time. I had no way out, so decided I will fly to the closest European country. This was after I had been back and forth for 7 hours. I had to pay full for flight to Greece. I asked to be sent back to D.C. they could not even work that out. I have a return ticket to fly back to Washington D.C. with Turkish Airline on 1 Jan and they said they will need to re-ticket my paid return flight as well. Turkish airline crew did not would not help me fix my return flight back to D.C. They have asked me to contact the agent ( Kayak). Now I am stuck in Athens, a country I have never visited nor planned to. My tours & accommodation, all paid for in Israel, I have lost. I had a tour fully paid in Israel. I have no ticket to return back to D.C. even though I paid for ticket with cancellation insurance when I bought the ticket. The advice between Turkish crew who checked my passport (official) while I was flying out of D.C. vs the Turkish crew who stopped me from boarding was inconsistent. If I had been stopped in D.C. I wouldn't have had to face the events that followed. Now I have lost my tours, hotel in Israel. I had to pay extra for flight to Athens and I am paying for hotel and sundry in Athens while waiting for flight out. Turkish crew at Istanbul were not only unhelpful but rude and inconsistent. While I was waiting for 8 hours for a firm information, shouting matches between Turkish crew and customers went on at least a dozen times. Inconsistent information from Turkish staff has led me to be currently stuck in Athens. I am waiting for a way back to D.C. There should be a rule that fines an airline if they board people without accurate visa papers and they fail to check it. There should also be a fine to the airline if they stop people from boarding at a transit airport leaving passanger stranded with nowhere to go or return. I ask this issue to be looked at, as I am currently stuck in Athens. I need a ticket to go back to D.C."

Nadelen: "Your incompetent agents messed up my reservation multiple times. They called my home and emailed asking for a payment, even though my client bought the ticket for me. Then, when I was checking in I realized my name was wrong even though my client has a document that proves she typed the right name. Finally, and AGAIN KAYAK, I arrive at the airport and Turkish Air says the ticket is booked but not ticked. So I had to jump on a 30min wait over the phone trying to solve issue after issue. Never doing business again with Kayak."

Nadelen: "The guy that checked me in was very rude and wasn’t smiling at all and then he showed my passport picture to his colleague and they both started laughing. I was trying to use the restroom on the plane but there was a person in there for a long time; I waited outside patiently and then when I got in I brushed my teeth and used the toilet. It didn’t take me that long but the flight attendant knocked hard on the door but she didn’t do that for me with the other guy. I didn’t feel welcomed at all from the crew honestly."

Nadelen: "Late into the flight there appeared to be a medical emergency taking place just a few rows ahead of me. No announcement was made; it was as though we were expected to ignore the situation. But with the lights in the cabin turned on, a small crowd gathered, and the passenger being vocal in his distress .. . a brief announcement would have been nice: Situation under control, no need to worry, flight will continue as scheduled. The passenger had a relapse a few hours later - again no acknowledgement from the crew to reassure those of us who could hear his cries of distress."

Plus, continuous strikes in Belgium see a joke, check-in luggages delayed for plenty of airlines. This country doesn't even know what strike mean anymore being so often..."

Nadelen: "Flight attendants were very slow to respond to requests and when an old passenger threw up, they didn't offer him help. They just sprayed the area and left the yuck instead of cleaning up immediately, despite my numerous requests. So you can imagine the smell."
Voordelen: "I love Turkish airlines, expecially when it's a connection flight to Istanbul. I am an American citizen living in USA and my wife and I travel to Egypt quite frequently. We have realized the big distinction in services when we travel from USA to Turkey VS Turkey to Egypt . The USA to Egypt staff was great, especially the ones at dulles airport."

Nadelen: "I couldn't take the airplane since they closed the gate earlier then plannee. I had to buy another ticket and I was stuck at the transit area of Moscow Airport for 24 hours."

Waited in line to check-in untl 7:23 AM Because of long lines at check-in (Russia Day, apparently) and inadequate staffing for the large numbers, I succeeded in getting through passport control and security ten minutes before flight time, only to be told "no Flight" I had to buy another ticket for the next day at a second fare, all because of Aeroflot' s inadequate staffing. Aeroflot service desk only told me to " go back into the city" where I found an Aeroflot office. After meeting three staff members in succession there, they made no effort to make good on their error. I will avoid AEROFLOT on all future travel. Brussels and Amsterdam airports were so much better set up to handle the crowds"

First, for international transfer, a big crowd had to squeezed into a small space and wait for security check. Secondly, there are too many shops in the waiting areas, and the passengers had to compete for space and sit on stairs, while the internal air quality was quite poor which became more severe in summer. Thirdly, the toilets need a complete re-vamp. It was not a pleasant experience to use toilet."

"Business class crew was extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast likewise - tasty, healthy and substantial. All in all, the flight itself was great, so kudos to Finnair. What a contrast, then, to the pitiable Terminal 8 at JFK, where it was almost impossible to even find a seat (no exaggeration!) before security."

Voordelen: "The crew is excellent. Very friendly, professional, and helpful. Both on board and at the desk inside the airport. They listen to your needs and respond the best they can. Seats are comfortable enough for Economy. Good selection of movies to watch. The flight was on time and arrived even a little earlier than expected."
Nadelen: "The food was filling, but not particularly tasty. For those seated toward the back, there was no choice. Although maybe there was no choice to begin with. Normally, on international flights, for the first (bigger) meal at least, you are given two choices, such as meat or vegetarian, beef or chicken. The food itself wasn't great. The salad was below average on both flight, from and to Chicago. So was the desert. Drinks are offered once with each meal in very small glasses. Although there is a bottle of water from the start."

Voordelen: "Most Improved Player - Finnair has done the best experience in overall long haul flights out of the 40plus airlines I have flown in the last 3 years; brand new planes, nice and diverse cabin crew, beautiful lightings videos details chocolates etc, best entertainment system in the industry, and things always go smooth in Helsinki airport. Awesome imrpovement over recent years."
Nadelen: "Big struggle for airlines still remains varying quality customer service. Finnair still seems to struggle with this occasionally. Finnair can work harder to keep customer service quality high. Hate to say it, but perhaps letting the bitter, last generation flight attendants who seem to have a grudge about the decline of the glamour and benefits of the job as flying has become commonplace with more competition (seen this on Finnair & N America’s older airlines line United)"

Nadelen: "They promised an upgrade to premium economy and then they didn't follow through, they lied when they said that row 30 was premium economy, all this felt very very weird. Jacqueline the flight attendant recognised the problem and gave us premium headphones to make up for the error."

Nadelen: "Being vegetarian I chose the pasta entree. It was good. It included a small salad. All other food was carbs- bread, crackers, a packaged dessert, ice cream, pizza, muffin. ( The pizza was good the muffin was processed gross. ) I didn't eat all the items and still felt yucky from poor nutrition. A piece of fruit in place of muffin, dessert, crackers would help a lot."
Nadelen: "Usually, in the morning, a light breakfast is served. This time, there was none."

Nadelen: "I have to use code-shared flight because of the schedule. Otherwise, always try to have pure Finnair flights. Get a better schedule!!!"
Nadelen: "It was n't their fault but My wife's passport expired in 91 days from beginning travel so they wouldn't let us on the plane to Italy."
Voordelen: "The crew did an excellent job definitely went beyond good service, I enjoyed the food and they came often offering drinks. It was probabky my first long flight I wasn't thirsty at all. Overall I was very happy with my trip hope thank you!"
Nadelen: "I got slightly cold at one point and wished the lights were I little lower but I understand why the weren't."
Voordelen: "The flight to and from Los Angeles was operated by British Airways and was on one of their Airbus fleet. Boarding was completed efficiently and with ease. I sat on the upper deck and was very comfortable in comparison to other major airlines previously used for this particular flight. The plane was very clean and the crew were outstanding. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for crew, and they were ready with beverages, including tea and coffee, and snacks throughout the flight. In flight entertainment was good. All in all very pleasant flight to and from the U K."

Nadelen: "Both the British Airways attendant who check me in in Chicago, and the British Airways attendant who checked me in in London, were not paying attention to my final destination and did not mark my luggage for my final destination."

Nadelen: "American Airlines caterers do not stock Tea on flight to London, UK (major up-roar). Staff was pretty grouchy."
Voordelen: "British Airways has greatly improved their customer service, the flight attendants (usually a bit gruff) were instead very kind and helpful to myself and all the passengers I saw them interact with. It really makes the flight experience better."
Voordelen: "We were booked in business class for no additional charge."
Nadelen: "The movies shown were black and white old films."
Nadelen: "The movies shown were not great and there were no TV screens in the headrests. Also, you have to pay for soda. Only coffee, tea, and blueberry juice is complementary. Our bags were also lost on this flight, or never made the connection from our previous flight."

Nadelen: "Everything. Our flight was delayed from our departing city because the plane was leaking water on the floor and they had to send in a special cleaning crew to try to stop it. We were not given the seats we pre picked months before when buying the ticket. The ac was broken for the first half of the flight. Then, we missed our connecting flight because of the first delay. Once we got onto a new connecting flight, it was also delayed and once again, we missed our last connecting flight and are not making it to our final destination today."

Nadelen: "Apparently SAS is not part of the TSA network, so I was unable to use my Global Entry membership to get TSA Pre-Check. Non-alcoholic beverage service was meager (one beverage only)."
Nadelen: "Rude crew, and apparently now you only get one free nonalcoholic drink in Economy for an 8 hour flight."

Voordelen: "Decent movie selection and very smooth landing"
Nadelen: "Surprised that Asian airlines typically havr larger and more comfortable seats. The SAS flight was fully booked and you could feel the cramped-ness of it. Also we weren't given the choice of what to have for our meals and were merely handed our food. Lastly, the flight was very, very uncomfortably warm."
Voordelen: "The comfort and technology on the aircraft."

Voordelen: "I was running late to my flight, and I found the SAS customer service line exceptionally helpful in helping me make the right decisions regarding how best to deal with the risk of missing my flight. In the end, I made my flight in time, but I found customer service critical in making the best decisions regarding my pre-flight transportation. Additionally, the flight was smooth and enjoyable."
Voordelen: "The crew was so amazing and friendly!!"

Voordelen: "Seats are more comfortable than those of many other airlines."
Nadelen: "Normally, I am not picky regarding airline food. In SAS's economy or "Go" class, there is no choice of food. I can think of plenty of dishes that would be appealing to many people. Yet the meal that was served, beef stew, posed a problem as I don't eat red meet. Since many people also do not eat beef due to religious beliefs, I am appalled by SAS's decision to only serve this dish to its economy class passengers. As I ordered my ticket through Kayak, I didn't have the option to request a special diet, nor did I think to do so as airlines generally do not serve serve a beef dish as their one and only."

Nadelen: "2+ hrs late on departure, could not confirm follow on connecting flight. Could not select seats online. Airbus aircraft ventilation is weak. Movie selection was inadequate. No "free" alcohol and high prices. Pay WiFi in economy but "free" everywhere else"
Voordelen: "Boarding was easy, I'm a Star Alliance Gold member so was able to get on board first. There were significant delays leaving Dulles and our connection was tight, but SAS held the flight so I give them props for that."
Nadelen: "The crew was grumpy and unhelpful, but I can usually overlook that. What really got me was this: YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR BEER & WINE ON THIS INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT! Never in my 25 years of international travel have I seen this from a mainstream carrier. For this fact alone, I will never fly this airline again. You also have to pay to pick your seats in advance."
Voordelen: "I had a window seat with a view of New York City as we flew North."
Nadelen: "The sound quality of the earphones was so poor that I could not understand most of the dialogue of the film that I watched."
Voordelen: "service was good"
Nadelen: "The plane was full. Sets in economy were very small."
Voordelen: "The entertainment system was very good. The crew were all efficient and courteous, with the exception of one crew member who was rather curt."
Nadelen: "Our plane arrived at IAD late due to a minor mechanical that was repaired at its previous destination. Consequently, we departed IAD almost two hours late, causing us to miss our connection in Copenhagen. Norwegian Air had a flight leaving shortly from Copenhagen to Rome, but the transfer agent told us SAS "does not re-book with Norwegian." Instead we were assigned to two more flights, one to Brussels, and another from Brussels to Rome. We arrived in Rome around 17:00 rather than 10:35 as scheduled, losing a full day of sight-seeing."
Voordelen: "Technically, since the first leg of my flight was changed I no longer flew this route, but it was through the same airlines and they fixed my issues no problem."
Voordelen: "Timely or even earlier arrival. Generally, very good experience"
Nadelen: "Delay after delay. Screaming kid"
Nadelen: "In-flight entertainment did not work, veggie meal I ordered was not there, and when I asked if I could have one of the extra business class meals, I was told no. I further asked if I could just have some chips from the snack basket and that was met with a death glare from the female flight attendant. All in all, the flight attendants were rude and unwilling to accept any ownership in the poor conditions of this 9 hour flight."
Nadelen: "A very dishonest experience. The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. I am very disappointed to be 'tricked' in this way and consider it a very dishonest business practice."
Nadelen: "The plane was very old and not maintained well, dirty and not clean from the previous flights"

Nadelen: "I Had checked several times to make sure I had 2 bags included ( standard for US-EU flights) and every time. At the airport I had to pay an extra charge for my second bag which made the flight very expensive and just ruined the whole experience for me"

Nadelen: "Delays on boarding (on departing as well as returning home) Damaged luggage"
Nadelen: "My daughter was feeling nauseous the whole time. She pressed the button to ask for a moist towel but was ignored after much waiting; she pressed again, and more waiting came with no response. She got yelled at when she went to ask politely. I understand the crew can get busy but where is compassion for a customer in need?"
Voordelen: "The choice of movies and tv shows was excellent. Also picture on tv was very good."
Nadelen: "Seat was not very comfortable."

I had to pay extra for what our itinerant said had been booked. Mary, at the desk at C12 in Delles, she wouldn't give me her last name was unbelievably insulting and unhelpful."

Nadelen: "We left an iPad on board in Copenhagen and found that there was no way to inform SAS!"

"Though the staff was very friendly, a nearly 4 hr delay (albeit due to drunken passengers refusing to wear masks, removing said passengers, and waiting for their luggage to be unpacked, and then having plane shut down to conserve fuel, & waiting for weather) is NEVER acceptable. The drunken passengers’ luggage should have stayed on the plane and the plane should have taken off with it. Why should an entire cabinfull of passengers should have to suffer and miss their international connections? The drunken passengers should have been removed and let their luggage catch up to them in a week or so. Upon arrival at Dublin, my daughter has to wait another 10 hours for a new connecting flight and was only offered a food voucher for roughly $9. UNACCEPTABLE"

Nadelen: "Everything else. Air Lingus is like Ryan Air with an Irish accent. No space, terrible food, very low quality entertainment system with the sound muffled and barely audible."
Nadelen: "Many people missed their connection at Dublin. I had a horrible ~6hr wait. Aer Lingus did nothing to help or compensate."

Nadelen: "We arrived late to Dublin because of weather and we’re going to miss our connection to Leeds so they rerouted us via Manchester but our bags, though tagged “Rush” did not make it on the new flight and we were without them for five days! we still had to get to Leeds so we had to pay for train tickets"
