The tickets from the airline were very restricted. I neither could change my departure nor destination. I was given the only option of open ticket and that too is valid only for 1 year.

Voordelen: "The flight was surprisingly empty compared to flying to Abu Dhabi. I had an entire row to myself. I was able to lay out and sleep peacefully without worrying about the traveler in front of me leaving their seat back. Highly recommend Etihad airways!"
Nadelen: "The vegetarian meal selected came in as vegan meal. This happened for both onward and return journey. The regular meal provided to passengers were better than the vegetarian meal selected"

Premier bonheur de devoir payer 63 euros de plus pour éviter d'être disséminés aux 4 coins de l'avion, le système par défaut ayant fait cela !!! Deuxième bonheur l'avion est en fait quasi vide.."

Nadelen: "Agents at check-in desk took longer time to process passengers, even though some desks had two people helping. The web check-in line moved slower than the line with passengers who had not done online check-in. When I booked my flight via kayak, I was not given an option to select seats (this was new) . I was able to indicate my seat preference but there was no followup. When I checked in online 24 hours before my flight, the only option for seats was in the middle, which I did not want, although I I knew the flight would not be full. I was able to change seats when I checked in with the agent in the airport ."
Nadelen: "My Baggiage is extremely damaged which is so disgusting and there is no way to report it"

Nadelen: "For Asian Veg Meal, they served Paneer for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The spacing between meals was quite large. Entertainment options for adults and kids were quite limited."

Voordelen: "There is nothing much to like about the flight. The only good thing about Etihad is the pre clearance option at Abu Dhabi that saves a lot of time after landing in the US"
Nadelen: "14+ hours of flying time where it can be done under 10 to 12 hours. Food is not good at all."

Nadelen: "My complain is more for the ticketing and not the entire flight. Never got a chance to fly with as I missed my flight. The ticketing guys did not help or seem to be interested in helping me find anoyher flight. All as I was concerned my missing of the flight was taken as a gain for the to make more profit with this situation. The people I called to talk to were so rude and sometime even hang up the phone on me.. They ended up cancel my return flight too even though it’s suppose to be 1 month from now. They did not care if anything went okay with me, they kicked me out of their space. I ended up spending $2000 to book another flight. For this reason I hate this airline and I would never ever recommend it to anybody which I know they wouldn’t care because they will still make money but im gonna warn everybody I know to stay away from this airline"

Nadelen: "While going Airport staff was not at all good at Chicago airport. I had a carry on bag, which I had been using in all other airlines as carry on for last couple of years and never was told that the size is not right. I was asked to either check in carry on as extra baggage and pay $300 or put my carry on stuff in my other checked in baggage and pay extra for over limit $120. And I have to trash my carry on of $80 value. I was not at all happy. I noticed in the flight so many passengers have the same size carry on, which I have to trash. On my return journey from Delhi to Abu Dhabi I was talking to a woman in the security line, who was sharing the same experience and she told me that they charge her $400 for one extra suitcase. To me that was shocking as how come I was asked $300 for extra checked in bag and she was charged $400. No idea what kind of policies Etihad has for extra baggage. I would like Etihad management to pay attention to the airport staff dealings with customers."
Nadelen: "It's a connecting flight for me and there is a long wait. so, my opinion is better to serve some snacks or food in the flight."
Voordelen: "The crew is very friendly and pay attention to details. The layover of < 2 hours is perfect."
Nadelen: "Was not allowed to board flight, had to purchase a second d ticket, told no seats available until Sept 17 which was a lie, after an additional charge of $750.10. Could not reach customer service. Ended up buying a ticket with another airline. Would like some reimbursement in this."

Voordelen: "Après une heure dans l'avion sans climatisation malgré un personnel de bord irréprochable (distribution de boissons) on nous annonce le débarquement, diriger et abandonne dans un terminal malgré un repas offert, pas d'information après renseignement auprès d'un accompagnant de tour operator j'apprend qu'il faut se rendre à la même porte où nous embarqueront avec 4 heures de retard. Un grand merci au personnel de cabine mais le responsable au sol .... Mais en plus de 10 vol Ave Etihad c'est ma seul mauvaise expérience et de plus j'ai payer 200fr pour changer de vol et arriver 4 h 30 plus tôt résultat gagné 30 minutes oups"

Nadelen: "Le vol était complet et nous nous sommes vu proposés éventuellement un vol AF direct en remplacement. Après notre acceptation, en dernière minute, nous avons finalement embarqué sur ETIHAD. Là fut notre erreur car lors de la correspondance à Abu dhabi nous étions de nouveau surbooké à 23h00 ! malgré nos borading pass. Au bout de 2h de négociation nous avons obtenu une chambre d'hotel de 1h du matin à 6h.... pour reprendre le vol suivant à 8h30.... Aucune indemnisation, ni surclassement, as même un code wifi .... COMPAGNIE A EVITER A TOUT PRIS, c'est du LOW COST et le SAV est CATASTROPHIQUE. Nadelen: "My bags didn't make it. I had to sit away from my husband as someone had sat in his seat and clearly wasn't going to move. You now have to pay to get an exit row like budget airlines and I had to go two days without my bag. Total nightmare. Then I couldn't recheck in to change seAts online. Food was disgusting."

Except that, everything about Etihad was a great experience. Food, service crew, lounge areas, aircraft comfort and entertainment were great."

Nadelen: "Air hostess were very rude. Her name is Iliana , none of them have name tags on. I guess that will he the first thing any passengers would expect. Food was not served as per the menu. They gave away whay ever they wish. To ask for water we had to request 4-5 times. The air hostess Iliana was bumping constanly into us, and does not even have courtesy of apologising. Because of her I could not even sleep for a second in the plane. Iliana is very racist. When multi cultural people are around, it a common sense that we have to talk in a language which is understandable by every one. She was speaking in the local language, and messing around with the fellow passengers for a small issue. She is definitely not fit as an air hostess, if she is there as a racist. there was another air hostess who as shouting at us to book business class if we need to order individually. A kid beside me was asking for an ice cream if we had a chance of purchasing it, like we do in domestic airlines. When I was requesting for the ice cream, she mentioned it thrice to book a ticket in business class. Rude absolutely very very rudeeeee. Untolerable service.....worst really worst service. There was no blanket and ear plugs kept on my seat, I request iliana thrice for blanket and ear plugs, she was like i will give you after I serve everyone, but I never had one through out my journey. This is how Eithad has trained their air hostess to handle passengers. seriously I will never ever choose eithad."
Nadelen: "Too uncomfortable seats as well as cleanliness and food can be improved with quantity and quality. Seats at the end of the plane always falls short of choice of food."

The ticket counter did not even open until 8:30 AM. They could not find our reservation even though we had a confirmation number. After about 20 minutes they finally found our reservation. They would not let my daughter and son-in-law book a seat online because they had an infant. So they had to get seats at the ticket counter which by this time there was not any decent seats left.

We were delayed leaving so we missed our connection. They paid for all of the travelers with us to get a hotel room but the hotel sold out and some people had to sleep in the lobby. All in all a pretty horrible experience.

Flight was awful. Team wouldn’t check our bags to final destination.

Service was great - flight attendants, on time, etc. the food was ok and the movie choices were limited…. But those things are minor in comparison.

On time Check in. That was not good after sittng in our sits, having been to change the places!

I wish there was ways to charge the phone while in the flight and that the service was better.

A few things, the boarding process was very bumpy and complicated with an interview and things that seems out of order. Once in the plane I think the entertainment was very poor. They advertise wifi, and tv programs as well phone signal and none of it worked properly. There was also no way to charge the phone or electronic devise while in the flight.

The seats are old and very uncomfortable and it felt dirty. The crew where very unhelpful and unwilling. They ran out of vegetarian meals and just didn’t care about it. It was just an awful experience.

You screwed up on my flight, then didn't apply my meal choice to the airway so I didn't have anything to eat the whole 8hour flight. and whats up with the second piece of checked in baggage not being allowed? You should tell customers theres a baggage embargo.

Bien : qualité de l'appareil, bon confort, qualité des équipements, relative qualité du repas (vs vol aller) Médiocre : Qualité de programme de divertissement (films datés et peu récompensés) + absence de sous-titres en français ou en anglais ce qui aiderait à la compréhension compte tenu du bruit dans l'appareil....

Very rude flight attendance. No accommodation for special needs. Food is horrible. Very disappointed. Won't fly with ITA again!!

Boarding in the heat was not pleasant

More than 2 hours late and no food because of a problem with the catering. The flight was super full and there wasn’t enough space for the hand bags. A lot of space for improvement.

Main trouble was with Kiwi -- a partner booking organization through Kayak. Even though tI booked well in advance they did not assign me a seat and I came within a minute iof getting bumped from the flight. On the return trip the airline sent me an ominous message that I had to provide additional info before I could receive my boarding pass and that if there were problems I would get a refund. That caused unnecessary stress since the airline just needed my home address. Kiwi should have made sure they had collected all the necessary information from me before they booked my flight.

Long delay, lack of space at the seats (not comfortable).

We made the boarding and then waited inside 40minutes before taking off The plane was too full It was probably the worst flight of my life in terms of comfort. I was in the central seat, and on my right i had a very big person who was occupying part of my seat since he did not fit in just one. I think in these cases the staff should notice and do something about it. I checked if there were available seats by myself, but it was all full. Maybe in business class there were still available seats though.
