Flight from Dusseldorf to Zurich, then Zurich to Los Angeles. in Dusseldorf, SWISS oversold the plane by 25 passengers. It was unbelievable, SWISS was randomly determining who would not fly and miss their other connecting flights in Zurich. It was by shear luck that we were able to keep our original reservation. SWISS needs to realize that this type of problem is serious. I can't imagine every flying SWISS again."

When our flight was delayed and it was questionable whether we'd make our Lufthansa connection, there was a small bus with 2 Lufthansa crew members waiting for us on the ground - they escorted us through Customs and directly to the door of the airplane so that we'd make the flight. Service I have never gotten on an American airline!"

No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Nadelen: "As it was a short flight it was ok but their system of checking in/ baggage drop off is really poor and disorganised. Everyone was queuing together for baggage drop, checking... it was a mess and took ages. It’s unfair on those who have already checked in online because you were ended up queuing with everyone else."
Nadelen: "checkin process at cusco airport was very bad. there was a line 1hr long to checkin suticases and there was no one at the payment counter to accept payment for suitcases."

Electronic check in system was not working twice, perhaps due to international minors, had to wait in line in order to check in. The boarding pass for our connection from Rio to Miami was not given to us in Sao Paulo when we had to manually check in. As a result, we had to exit the secured area in Rio to go check in manually again for our connection and then go through security and customs again."

Voordelen: "I LOVE that LATAM does not book its flights solid: I love that they leave some empty seats and breathing room-- it makes all the difference in the world. I love that the bathrooms have full length mirrors, hand towelettes, and are well maintained. Most of all, I love how compassionate,patient, and accomodating the flight attendants are."
Nadelen: "I would have liked for there to be more vegetarian choices-- healthier foods, more veggies, more fruits, rice, less meat. It would be nice to have real milk or cream instead of powder for the coffee; and honey instead of sugar."
Voordelen: "Comfortable, friendly staff, accommodating,clean, on time, smooth flight. Great experience."
Nadelen: "No Movie Screen"

Nadelen: "They had difficulty getting the bags on the turnstile but I think that was more an airport problem in santiago. Check in in Punta Arenas was very slow. Sky airlines processed twice the number of people in the same time"
Nadelen: "I never experienced the flight because I wasn't given a seat. The airline oversold the flight and I never got to go. I missed my once in a lifetime experience because the airline is greedy at my (and other people's) expense. I missed out on a priceless experience. Not only that, the bag that I checked did not make it off the flight so I remained in DC while my bag went to Medellin. I had to purchase new toiletries and had to make arrangements to get back to the airport. As of now, I do not plan on choosing American Airline nor LATAM for my future flights."

Nadelen: "I take this flight quite a lot. These comments are for this flight (MIA/MSP) - but not necessarily only for this exact flight that I took on 10/1. To be clear - the crew says "this is not AA", it is Republic Airlines". Well, they must think of themselves very poorly. Their food in first class is always changing - oh, I meant only the names for the same exact meal change. "Grilled Chicken with Couscous", "Grilled Chicken with Risotto", etc.. - all cold meals as they do not have an oven/microwave? on the plane. They are charging first class international prices for economy domestic service. For this amount of money, they should have better meals and a more modern airplane. The first class is always freezing (even in summer) while the rear cabin where the crew stays when not working, is hot. So if they make the first class happy with the correct temperature, they cook in the back. I have also observed more people than usual coughing and getting colds - both ways - than any of the other flights I take regularly (over 115,000 miles on AA this year). I would suggest that AA make it clear that Republic must offer better service to their customers - especially for the large airfares they are receiving."

Voordelen: "Direct flight Chicago to Paris."
Nadelen: "Uncomfortable seating. Almost 2 hrs delay leaving Chicago forced us to miss train connection in Paris. Bad layover times to get back to the States, almost 9 hrs was the only choice available."
Nadelen: "Although an email was received 3 hours before departure that everything was on schedule, we were told when checking in our whole itinerary had been changed to leave the next day. We had not been contacted and we missed our daughter’s professional basketball game in France. This was the reason we bought the tickets from Kayak to begin with. The cancellations were happening with British Airlines and they were not working with American Airlines to help us out to get to the game on time."
Voordelen: "arrived on-time"
Nadelen: "We were booked in the very last row (unable to select a seat at the time of purchase) and had a rough time of changing the seats. The entertainment system was having problems and the whole entertainment system had to be re-booted about 90 minutes into the flight. It still didn't fix my seat's TV. Otherwise the trip was uneventful and we managed to get better seats on the return flight."

Nadelen: "I booked a LATAM flight for a 10.5 hour flight specifically because they have better in flight entertainment. I arrived at the airport and found it it was operated by AA. 10.5 hours with zero in flight entertainment. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE."

Voordelen: "Crew does it’s best under miserable conditions. I love a nonstop flight."
Nadelen: "We were delayed over half an hour due to a broken tray table. Really. A 5 hour flight has no meals available, not even ones you can buy. Water and drinks were brought around once. ONCE in 5 hours. My husband and I were crammed in Middle seats 2 rows apart. And we had to pay extra to get those. Because they charge to check bags everyone brings their carryons on board."
Voordelen: "Not very much positive to say unfortunately. The staff were good and did as much as they could to keep up feed and happy."
Nadelen: "The plane was extremely old and dated. Never been on such an old plane with no up to date equipment or facilities. The chairs were very uncomfortable and the food was awful. There was no personal entertainment screen for an 11 hour flight and only one of the safety demonstration screens was working during take off. Also no plugs at all."

Voordelen: "Leaving the plane was my favorite part. Entertainment was one of the best (American run flight and plane)."
Nadelen: "Seats were very cramped and did not recline enough to get comfortable. Temperature of the cabin was hot then cold. No sleep again. But the cabin crew looked refreshed in the morning. Guess they had better seats. It should be a law that all airline employees from the CEO on down should only be able to fly in coach. Maybe then the seats will get better."
Nadelen: "Due to a flight being cancelled earlier in the day, flights for the rest of the day were over booked. Instead of getting bumped from flight to flight due to the earlier cancellation, I and 6 other passengers decided to drive."
Voordelen: "Great food and friendly crew."
Nadelen: "Even though it was a red-eye, it still would have been nice to have a tv for an international flight, or at the least a way to charge your electronics."
Voordelen: "Ground delay but we still got there in time and I made a close connectionshort flight"

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed, at not fault of the crew on board, however the flight attendants did very little to update the passengers on connecting flights and did not try to help in making the connecting flight aware that some passengers would be delayed. I missed my connection by MINUTES (I saw it still taxied at the gate) and they could not hold the plane for 5 passengers connecting. Awful service and procedures."

Nadelen: "I hold the personal opinion that the headrests on transatlantic seats should be the sort that prevent one's head from falling to the side. It seemed like this was a domestic plane assigned to an international route."
Voordelen: "It was very smooth once we were able to take off!"
Nadelen: "We were delayed in the plane almost an hour with no cool air. They had technical problems."

Nadelen: "I boarded in group 2. A lot of the overhead space was already full due to the large number of priority passengers. This led to people having to go to the back to find space for bags. That creates a lot of jams at the end of the flight. Also, younger passengers often try to rush out of the plane rather than waiting for their row. This should be stopped."
