The booking agent didn’t complete all the way in the computer. I am thankful that I had my original paper and Swiss airlines fix it"

On m'a promis de trouver une solution pour qu'à la fin la personne ne vienne même pas me dire en face qu'il n'y avait pas de solution. On m'a simplement dit que le vol est complet et que j'aurais du penser à cela avant... Pas très professionnel !"

Voordelen: "When you lose your phone in the business class seat and a technician goes to find it once you land in Zurich and the day that it has miraculously disappeared there isn’t much to like at all about Swiss Airlines. Swiss Airlines isn’t going to hear the end of this is they don’t agree to replace my son’s phone. My husband is a lawyer and we are prepared to bring this to the public."
Nadelen: "My son dropped his phone in business class seat and the ground staff technician claimed it wasn’t there. Theft at its best! Swiss Air better take responsibility for their shady staff and agree to replace my don’s Phone promptly or we will take this to the public eye and courts. I’m sure we could get a big class action suit."

Voordelen: "The space of the seat is wide. Nice chocolate."
Nadelen: "First, they announced that they need some passengers to voluntarily give up the booking in exchange for 280 refunds (a slightly higher rate which not worth to do it) and 1 stopover the fight to Rome which will arrive at 22.00 instead (our flight is 17.35). About 15 minutes before boarding time, they announced flight delaying. Around 17.45, they announced gate changing from B to A which located at opposite side of the the airport so all passengers run there because of everyone afraid that their booking might be canceled because no one agrees to give up. At both gates, many people try to jump in the queue which no staff comes in the manage the queue. During waiting on the board, the air condition seems to be closed, hard to breathe. Around 19.00, the plane took off the Zurich airport eventually, finish the 1.5 hours delay. The captain announced that it cause by the technical problem of the flight earlier but my thinking it cause from over-booking."

Chez Swiss : impossible de réserver puisque j'ai réservé chez ANA... Repas franchement mauvais, rien de japonais, pas de chopsticks alors que la moitié des passagers étaient japonais. Divertissements : équipement vidéo d'un autre âge !"

Voordelen: "I treated myself to Swiss Business (for a second time) for this trip and it was terrific. From the comfortable seats, the fabulous dinner, the outstanding Swiss staff from the baggage check to the wonderful flight attendants, the flight to Zürich and the return trip to Boston was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Swiss. I would love to be able to fly Swiss Business again when I travel to Zürich in September 2019."

Nadelen: "I do not understand why arriving to checkin with 90 min, on a DIRECT flight, in business class they can decide to not lead luggage at ZRH. We had to wait for all luggage to come out, then go to lost and found, what is more puzzling is that then they tell you the luggage will be loaded on next flight, arrive at night, but will not deliver it until after 3PM on next day. This is flying business class. Swiss begins to feel like a low cost"

Voordelen: "I was amazed how comfortable we were in economy. Pillows, Blankets that felt like cotton. I would fly Lufthansa over an american carrier any day. We passed through the business class cabin on the way out and I can only imagine how much they were pampered!"
Nadelen: "Since flying in the US has become expensive and painful I was not expecting much from this flight. They exceed my expectations by so much that I cannot think of anything I would change. (Ok, my chicken was a bit over cooked but that was such a minor thing.)"

Nadelen: "After arranging seat and checking it over and over for months to be sure it was a right window, for medical reasons, they took it away from me and gave me one which bumped the nerve damage in my arm. They said it was their agent's error but did nothing about it."

Voordelen: "Crew was hospitable and flight was clean."

Nadelen: "We paid extra to have a bassinet as we were traveling with a baby. The entire row (a family) behind us was very sick, coughing, sneezing, and blowing their noses the whole flight. As we were concerned for our daughters health, we asked the flight attendants if we could lmove to the bulkhead that was open at the front of the plane. They wanted to charge us $500 EACH to move, even though the seats were open. One of the flight attendants even commented how terrible it was for our baby to have a row of sick people behind us, yet they refused to move us. Fast forward, our daughter ended up getting sick during our trip to Florence, and now my husband is sick. As such, we’ve had to miss out on things during our vacation. It would not have been difficult to move us to empty seats in the front of the plane, so we could use the bassinet we paid for. This small gesture would have made our flight and our trip much better."

Nadelen: "Delay of 45 minutes made me almost miss my connecting flight."

Voordelen: "Everything was great overall. Flight wasn’t full, so I had some nice extra space for the long flight."
Nadelen: "Sat on the tarmac for two hours before take-off due to snow and ice. The flight itself was fine. Deplaning in Shanghai sucks. Economy class had to wait inside the plane while business class was let out and shuttled first because the plane parked out away from building and we had to walk down steep stairs and then ride a shuttle bus to the building."

Nadelen: "poor service - surly crew bad food - havent been served worst food uncomfortable seats bad entertainment, sound distortions, small screens, limited selections and to top it all is the FRANKFURT AIRPORT - one of the worst transit points which makes you walk for miles and miles."

Nadelen: "As someone who does not particularly enjoy flying, Lufthansa made everything smooth and enjoyable. That being said, if I have to nitpick... the feet of the seats in front of me were staggered so that my foot space was cut in half by a bar. I had to have one foot on each side... sharing each one with the seatmates on either side of me. It made it so I didn't have a clear space to store my purse, which made the 10 hour flight just a little uncomfortable. Oh...and I could not find the proper jack for the headphones. It's as if the headphones provided were not meant for that entertainment system."

Nadelen: "Was overlooked by the pursor a couple times - he probably had a lot on his plate. Also, the "snack" at the end of the trip was sorely lacking! Especially for a 7 hour flight. The bathrooms were gross & out of toilet paper. And it seemed like one was locked constantly...?"

If they do answer the phone (1-800-221-2350), they either put you on hold for a whole day or, if you leave your phone no. and name to have them call you back, they never do . I am not the only person who has this experience. It is too bad because if this continues, the airline will loose business and I would hate to see that. However, I still will use KAYAK"

Nadelen: "I order through Kayak, which took me to priceline...Got my ticket and thought everything was fine...Until I got to the airport, apparently I got a SAS lite ticket and they charged me to check 3 bags 210 Euros...Unreal. I think its pricelines fault because they did not even offer bagage as an option..."

Nadelen: "Small movie selection. Second meal/snack not great. Older plane (still had ashtrays in arm rests)."

The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. I am very disappointed to be 'tricked' in this way and consider it a very dishonest business practice."

Nadelen: "When waiting to board the flight, it was difficult to understand when different parts of the plane were boarding because of the soft volume of the loud speakers. All people could really hear was "boarding now", which created a bit of a rush of everyone. It would be helpful if there were an SAS representative to stand next to the line, to physically say to people, 'Okay, we are now only doing priority boarding. If you are priority boarding, please stand her. After that, if you are business class, please stand here. Everyone else, please wait, but know that we will start to board from the back of the plane. Thank you." This will to help guide people BEFORE the ticket check."

Nadelen: "Had an extra bag which we were not charged for on flights to Stockholm or Krakow. You charged twice as much for the bag as you did for our ticket. Does that seem right??? A charge to offset your cost is reasonable. Twice the cost of the ticket is absolutely atrocious!!! Did I mention you managed to break what we had in the bag? Hope that gives you the picture of how we feel, but more importantly what we will be telling everyone. Voordelen: "Boarding & deplaning in Copenhagen and Amsterdam was great - fast & efficient, if not a bit chaotic. Good mix of movies to choose from during the flight, and the in-flight internet was fast and stable."
Nadelen: "The crew on the Chicago/Copenhagen legs were rude and curt. Food was horrible. The dates on our entres indicated that the meal was packed 10 months prior! The snack cakes that came with the meal were sickly sweet. The salads on both legs had brown leaves."

Nadelen: "Instead of a direct flight from Los Angeles to stockholm I got three flights and two layovers just because they said They were understaffed and I ended up having a very long and terrible flight shifting from one airport to another and I did not get offered any upgrades or compensation for this inconvenience,"

Nadelen: "I was never given the option to check in luggage. I had to pay $77 to check in my luggage. I had been in Europe for 2 weeks so I needed luggage check. Once on the flight, you had to pay for everything except a few juices, sodas, coffee and tea. Snacks and meals had to be purchased. Another expense. The flight was 1 hour late departing for no apparent reason. I have flown Icelandair twice and both times they were late departing. In visiting with fellow passengers they had similar experiences."

Nadelen: "Crew from denver to Reykjavík were rude. My wife and I travel regularly for business and these girls were short, annoyed and just unprofessional. Couple that with the plane being abnormally hot (for the whole flight) it was pretty bad. I understand it must be hard to work in this industry, but these girls were just plain bad. Probably won’t fly Iceland Air again."

Nadelen: "Typical flight now days. Seats are too small for comfort. There needs to be action by regulators of aviation industry to increase space for coach passengers. I think these regulators should be required to fly coach three times a year in a coach seat on flights of three hours or more."

Nadelen: "on a five hour flight I expect to get a meal."

Nadelen: "Overhead bins too shallow. Seating cramped."

Voordelen: "Helpful and efficient cabin crew. A crew member found space for my carry-on in an overhead bin, when I couldn't find room near my seat."
Nadelen: "Boarding is painful at the airport in Keflavik--there simply is not enough room for the number of flights leaving around the same time and all the people trying to board."

Nadelen: "We waited on the plane for 3 hours for our flight to Reykjavid from London to catch our connection to Minneapolis. The crew were wonderful, but the wait was excruciating."

Nadelen: "We were delayed for two hours due to a weather delay from the day before. When we boarded our plane it was cold, and then we had to sit and wait for 45 minutes while we waited for connecting passengers. I would've preferred to be held up inside the terminal a little longer than sit on a cold plane with little communication. No water fountains at KEF"

Voordelen: "The entertainment was really terrific, selection was good and the equipment was brand new."
Nadelen: "I felt like it was bumpier than other flights I've been on. I know that's highly subjective and a product of weather but it felt like it was excessive. There wasn't a lot of communication about conditions from the flight crew like I've had on other flights. It took forever to board."

Nadelen: "Only one drink service on the 6 hour flight. I went to the galley area 2/3 way through the flight and the curtain was tightly closed (with the crew behind the curtain). They didn't want to be disturbed. I know this was a discount flight, but I assume the crew are paid for the duration and it does not seem unreasonable to make a second beverage service."

Nadelen: "Baggage claim took over 1 hour."

Nadelen: "Tiny seats (average sized male here - trust - they are tiny) All food is charged (not a single piece of free food was offered; $8/sandwich) Lost luggage - I've never dealt with airline personnel (in person & over phone) that displayed such a level of apathy. Compensation ceiling: $99. They apologized about the incident as if they were sorry that it was raining that day - not losing 2 pieces of luggage and not having any means to track them. Check-in personnel: They only gave me a single luggage tag for 3 pieces of luggage - they should have given me 3. Would have made tracing lost luggage easier. Employee @ IAD told me that if I didn't show up at the boarding gate 40 minutes prior to boarding that they would remove my luggage from airplane and that I could risk losing flight (wtf?). Icelandair is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. They may offer rates 20% cheaper than other major carriers, but that discount accompanies a steep price. It's an airline run by inexperienced, lackluster, apathetic staff who, frankly, have no business operating an airline. If your options are flying with a major carrier vs Icelandair - and the price difference is a few hundred $: pay the extra money; you'll be glad you did. Icelandair's prices are not low enough to justify all the discomforts and liabilities which accompany them. Look elsewhere. Keep this in mind: I'm a seasoned flyer. This airlines barely ranks one notch up from Ryanair."

Voordelen: "Everything went as promised. Surprised about configuration of 767 in buisiness class: 2-1-2. Different from other 3 legs (2-2). Food was good (fish/chicken/vegan)."

Nadelen: "Delayed flight leading to 4 hours lost and a transfer through Copenhagen No food unless you pay Staff not very nice"

Nadelen: "They did not call for rows so it was mass chaos especially when our gate line crossed with another boarding at the same time. They have a lot of flights leaving at the same time and it could be a much better boarding process."

Voordelen: "Nothing. I would give the airline zero stars.. Zero..unfortunately that option is not available."
Nadelen: "I was traveling with my 72 year old mother and had 2 hand luggages with me. No one offered or bothered to assist my mother down the flight of stairs to get down to board the bus awaiting for transfer on the initial flight to Hamburg. The flight attendants just stood there doing nothing. I hope this airline becomes so unpopular that Americans will boycott traveling with them. Lesson learned. Just like Delta Airlines, poor customer service, cheap overpriced meals will be the downfall of this airline."

Nadelen: "45 minutes to change planes and go through customs and use the restrooms is too short."

Voordelen: "The plane was comfortable and the seats reclined"
Nadelen: "You have to pay for all food and drink and entertainment. So I brought my own food and water bottle, took an Ambien, and slept most of the flight"

Voordelen: "Staff was very friendly and helpful, good food options on board, Saga lounge in Keflavik was fabulous!"
Nadelen: "KEF airport is not well managed - boarding areas have few seats, and process is cumbersome; flights leaving near same time are all boarding from same area. Airport amenities- food, shops are very nice. Also, our flight was delayed (it happens) but caused us to miss our next flight. No there was a snafu with one of our bags not arriving/being on a different flight. We recovered it, but we're not compensated for delay/missing a flight."

Voordelen: "that it wasn't Iceland air. we were re-booked with Lufthansa (through Frankfurt) and the crew had bought dinner for the 36 extra passengers (from Iceland air missed connections) -- for a 3 hour flight! so let me recap: Iceland air had NO FOOD for our transatlantic flight. Lufthansa BOUGHT FOOD for the extra passengers for a 3 hour internal Europe flight! next time we will fly Lufthansa =)"

Voordelen: "The check- in and on- board crew were pleasant"
Nadelen: "We checked in at O'hare 3 hours prior to the schedule departure and were told the flight was delayed 2 hours. We inquired because we would miss our connection in Iceland (only an hour layover). The check-in crew assured us that we would make time in the air and the connecting flight would wait for us. We did NOT make any time in the air and when we started landing (2 hours late), we checked with the on-board crew, who again, promised that the connection would wait. When we got off, they had NOT waited. We went to the desk and found out we had been rebooked for a flight 6 hours later through Frankfurt, which put us in Brussels 10 hours after our original arrival. We lost an entire day of hotel, tours, etc that Iceland air had no intention of compensating us for. Additionally, even though we had 6 hours in Iceland, our bags were NOT re-tagged, so we had no luggage after our very delayed arrival in Brussels.I will be placing a formal complaint with the EU customer protection agency for this. Additionally, there was no food on board (for a 6 hour transatlantic flight!), they weighed our carry-ons and made us check them in (and then lost it, leaving us with no clothes) and the seats were the most uncomfortable seats I've ever encountered on a plane. I would NOT recommend Iceland air to anyone and will never fly with them again. Awful experience of 24 hours of being lied to, deceived, and misinformed."

Voordelen: "My flight was over four hours delayed and I appreciated that when I got to the airport and found that out, I didn’t have to ask for anything but was immediately greeted with a food voucher. I lost an entire days worth of vacation in Germany, so well I do feel the British Airways should have done better and should’ve compensated me better, the fact that they immediately took steps to make the situation better was greatly appreciated. That level of customer service was beyond any I’ve received with an American-based airline. Also, the crew on the plane was fantastic and a great choice of movies. I flew American on the way home and was shocked at the lack of customer service and rudeness, I will happily fly British Airways again and again."

Nadelen: "My seat didn’t seem to go back as much as the seat next to me. That made sleeping a bit harder."

Nadelen: "I felt stressed due to an ill passenger holding up the plane. Plane returned to gate from runway. High potential of missing connecting flight. Landed on tarmac at Heathrow. Waited for bus. Took to faraway terminal. No info monitors so stood in long queue to find out in wrong terminal."

Voordelen: "They exceeded my expectation. The food. The crew. The comfort. I rarely slept on the plane. But this time I did. Wider leg room and comfortable seats.."

Voordelen: "Staff was pleasant and helpful"
