Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service."

Nadelen: "Flight was diverted to another airport and when we finally got to Tokyo, the next flight's gate had closed even though it didn't leave for another two hours. We had to wait in a huge line to get rebooked and it was clear the Japan Airlines employees did not know what they were doing. Put me on a flight next day and couldn't even provide hotels for us (gave us $100 to find our own which was near impossible at that time). I had to sleep in a sleeping bag in the airport overnight by myself."

Nadelen: "Didnt realize that Veg Meal, i needed to explicitly request while checking in. ended having bread butter and deserts"

Nadelen: "Unfortunately they ran out of some food by the time they got to us and only had fish left. It was okay, just not my favorite. We were 35 minutes late taking off which contributed with me missing my connecting flight."

Voordelen: "Excellent custumer service including cabin attendants' attentiveness and pilot's warnings of turbulence. Great in-flight entertainment. I liked the special touches such as the small snack and water bar available throughout the flight, and the breakfast Kumamon special. Clean bathrooms are very very appreciated."
Nadelen: "The only bad experience was when we were boarding, and I asked whether I could take a newspaper and the business class flight attendant snidely said that it was only for business class. I understand the comment, but her expression and tone were unnecessary."

Voordelen: "New aircraft and diligent crew; the food was frequent and tasted great. No complaints; would gladly fly JAL any time, anywhere."

The house slippers were a nice touch and we really enjoyed the large movie selection. The miso soup with meals was great! Overall really enjoyed our flying experience with jal and would fly with them again."
Nadelen: "The food for our return flight from haneda to Honolulu was definitely subpar compared to the food we had on our first jal Honolulu to Hong Kong flight (layover in narita). Also the plane was not as big and older so we didn't have the touch screen. We were quite impressed on our Honolulu to Hong Kong flight, then were a little let down on our haneda to Honolulu flight."

Yeah my flight was delay by 3 hours for reasons out of their control and I missed my connecting flight but they completely made up for it. The food and drinks were really good along with the service. Plus they booked me on another flight along with a hotel for the night. Awesome service and experience, I would travel with them again."

A very nice Japanese breakfast. - smaller plane, bus that picked us up and dropped us off in front of the airport. As we were doing a 12 hour layover, all our check in luggage was taken care of and sent to van"
Nadelen: "At our first checkin from Korea Ana, seems we have to look at a screen for our luggage just to double check that they made it past customs (never had to do that before) - check in was a bit longer compare to yvr their scanner was much smaller so definitely can’t have big carry on"

Nadelen: "the plane was Hot! So hot we couldn't use the blankets. The staff in Tokyo did not want to let me and my twin 11 yr olds board early. We need extra time to be organised and in our seats for a very long flight. If not we block the aisle. And that is without consideration for the fact that my daughter has limited sight so needs my help and it takes time. I was disappointed that they didnt come through the cabin from time to time with snacks as most airlines do on long haul flights."

Nadelen: "Lack of airline professional staff at lax airport. There's no set person in charge. We had an emergency return and no one can explain or give us answers for rebooking our flights."

Voordelen: "The plane wasn't that full so I had a lot of space."
Nadelen: "the seat itself is still uncomfortable to put in the extended position to relax. Plus the headrest doesn't move very well so it's hard to get a comfortable head position when trying to sleep. The crew took forever getting everyone on the plane I have no idea why it took so long considering they're worn so many people on the flight. The food wasn't very good except for the marble loaf."

Nadelen: "The check-in at LAX. They form 2 different lines for Economy. The 1st line was lined with the people arriving first. Then the 2nd line started to fill later. But when the ANA agents came out, they have no clue and serve the line of the people arriving later. Should know what they are doing. Either just 1 line, or if 2 lines, should ask which line come first"

Voordelen: "Ground staff was very helpful, we had an overweight luggage and they kind out provided a complementary package box to redistribute the weight instead of charging us extra baggage fees. The flight attendants were caring and offered great service. The entretenimient system on board was easy to use and had a large library of movies."

Nadelen: "Missed my flight over a misscommunication on getting to the airport. Thete was not sufficient time to arrive more than an hour early due to the fact Gimpo airport opens at 6am and the flight was at 7:45. When I arrived I was not allowed to check in or board and no one wanted to help me find out what to do. They suggested I call my ticketing agent. Thankfully they were helpful but they mentioned the ANA SHOULD have helped me find the next available flight but the representative kept repeating it was not her job. Finally she looked and said there were no available flights and tried to push me to buy another ticket through another company. My ticketing agent helped after she heard what happened and rebooked my flight for the next day. Hopefully everything goes smoothly but ANA staff at Gimpo were a bit of a nightmare to deal with"

Nadelen: "Flying United. I missed my flight. The gate was packed with people so I sat literally a quarter mile away. The flight was delayed and I got a text telling me new departure time. I show up for new departure time. Plane left six minutes earlier. First thanks for the bad information. Second thanks for not paging me. Third I don't care when the plane is supposed to leave. Just tell me what time to be at the gate so I can stand around after an international flight. Oh and if a flight attendee to squawk rudely at a paying customer when we do land, why I'd just have to ask myself AGAIN ... why do I fly United?"

Nadelen: "We didn't hear the announcement that the gate for our flight had changed. I just happened to look at the flight info and noticed our flight was not listed. I went to the desk then I was informed of the change. Poor service."

Nadelen: "I did not like the delay of the plane which, instead of taking of at 10pm took off at 7h45 am."

Voordelen: "This was my first time flying with ANA airlines and it was great. First the staff where we checked in we're amazingly helpful! They spoke great English and ensured me and my husband sat together during our 15 hr flight to Vietnam.! They had so many options on new movies and music that helped pass the time. The food was very tasty as well as there snacks and drinks! The entire staff were helpful and appeared to enjoy their jobs. I will always fly with ANA when returning to ASIA."

Horrible."

Nadelen: "I’m a 6’3” in shape man. I selected the bulkhead seats for extra leg room. Great crew, but my shoulders stuck past the seat edge 3” on both sides. Qatar should revise their claim of most room in cabin - this 12 hour flight was one of the roughest I’ve had in a long time comfort wise."

Nadelen: "- the baggage drop off counter guy was rude, so was his supervisor, they forced us to check our carry-on luggage and made it as they're doing us a favor for not checking our backpacks - there was a problem with the flight and got delayed 90 min, we missed our connecting flight and had to stay in DOH airport overnight - the food was really bad compared to other flights by QA, my wife got food poisoning from their food"

Voordelen: "Cet avion un B--777 avait plus d’espace pour les jambes, ce qui fut fortement apprécie.. Ce n'était pas le cas pour les épaules, surtout si le voisin est le moindrement corpulent ou un peu hors norme, ce qui n'est pas mon cas, ni celui de mon épouse."
Nadelen: "Dormir dans un avion ou essayé d'y dormir est une sacrifice que je ne suis plus prêt a payer . Dorénavant, je me contenterai de de distance ne dépassant 7-9-heures"

Voordelen: "We were told by terminal staff in Istanbul that the fkught was on Turkish Airlines.We waited in line at the first ticket counter and then we were sent to a second ticket counter where we waited in line again. We were sent to a 3rd counter where the Supervisor was chatting with a lady for 20 minutes. When we reached the counter we were told it was too late to board and we had missed our flight even though there were still 35 minutes to flight time. Turkish Airlines staff would not help us any further and we had to go purchase another ticket."

Voordelen: "Great movie selection during the flight. Most of the food was decent."
Nadelen: "The boarding process was a pain in the butt. Even though my boyfriend and I did a pre- check-in online the day before. We still had to wait over an hour to check our one piece of luggage and wait to be checked in and get the boarding pass. Even though the site says we have the option to print out the boarding pass or show the code on our phone, we still had to deal with all the hassle. The plane was smelly until we were about to take off. The first meal on our way back from Istanbul was awful. The omelette was greasy, overly cheesy and bland. Same goes for the spinach pastry in the same tray. On the flights to Cairo, there was not enough drinks served. I only had one beverage offered to me. I was bypassed when they were serving the coffee/ tea. Also, the timeliness with serving drink was bad... I waited about 4 hours before getting my first beverage on the flight home."

Voordelen: "Smooth flight. Food was better than flight out of NY. Very tasty. Terrific crew."
Nadelen: "Seat was a bit cramped but this was a coach seat so my expectations were not high. Aircraft was smaller than first flight so seats were also smaller."

Voordelen: "Turkish continues to go above-and-beyond to provide all of its passengers with a quality experience. Meals were actually good (I opt for the Vegetarian offering) and Economy seats are perfectly fine."
Nadelen: "Both ground staff and inflight crews border on rude, but I choose to believe it's a cultural thing and not a corporate or personal failing. Really, it's a coldness more than anything. No warmth or empathy. Planes are showing their age, particularly in the seat monitors. Screens have dead zones with inoperative icons. Also, quite a few seats were literally falling apart. But, when you fly to more countries than any other airline, some wear-and-tear is to be expected."

Voordelen: "The crew on the airplane were fantastic. They arranged an aisle seat, which I requested upon checking in."
Nadelen: "I asked for an aisle seat and I was assured when I checked in that I have an aisle seat. But this was not correct. The crew on the airplane did their best to accommodate my request and they were successful. So the mistake was that of the crew in Berlin where I started my flight."

Voordelen: "The flight was quite good, with pretty tasty food, plenty of food and drinks, chairs reclined quite a bit, little extra and gifts for kids, slippers, socks, ear plugs."
Nadelen: "Boarding prices very disorganized. No announcements and a crowd sprig where everyone just pulled at the gate. Very few announcements in general."

Nadelen: "They ran out of a lot of food and drinks we wanted. And almost ran out of vegetarian entrees for us even though we requested them ahead of time. Almost no leg room in coach. My touch screen wasn’t working properly which made it hard to choose and watch movies."

Nadelen: "The staff was not great. An issue with a first class customers made them move around economy customers like they ' really not even people but utilities, all that for that one person. If they would have informed and talked with the other customers that would have been fine but being treated like a piece of furniture isn't nice. Plus, continuous strikes in Belgium see a joke, check-in luggages delayed for plenty of airlines. This country doesn't even know what strike mean anymore being so often..."

Voordelen: "Flight was on time, relatively clean and the food was quite nice"
Nadelen: "For a flight leaving at almost 1 am, it's quite annoying to be force fed dinner and prevented to sleep for the first two hours of the flight. Dim the lights and do "on demand" dinner please."

Nadelen: "See above, very poor experience with Turkish airlines. On the flight to NY, I asked for some food (the cheese sandwiches) only to be told that they did not have enough for the flight and that they ran out. If you are going to offer something inflight, should you not make sure that you have enough of the item?"

Voordelen: "Okay"
Nadelen: "Pilot needs to learn how to land"

Voordelen: "I'm 6 ft 2. Legspace was adequate, and no silly boxes under the seats like other airlines that obstruct your feet. Great entertainment systems - modern, good selection. Food and staff excellent."
Nadelen: "Their online checkin systems could operate a bit more smoothly. At one point, I had to go in in person, because the online checkin site had an already past flight from their codeshare partner SAS showing up as the next flight, and I couldn't perform online checkin as a result."

Nadelen: "The security at the Turkish airport. There were very long lines, people pushing each other, screaming. Security put some extra stamps for particular people randomly. There were three women from the same country with the same type of passport who one of them happened to be pregnant. They put extra stamp on her passport. When I asked one of the security why her he said it was random and it was American procedure. The woman started screaming after she was checked twice more and they started to use a detector on her belly. It was all crazy when another family was checked and the security decided that the three kids were okay but the parents weren't. The security told the parents to separate themselves from the kids for double checking. The father started screaming as well. It was all horrible."

Voordelen: "The flight was comfortable and on time. My congratulations to THY for the management of the situation so well right after the confusion brought about by the coup d'etat attempt in Turkey. Thanks a lot!"
Nadelen: "The Sabiha Gökçen airport in Istanbul is discrageful, and changing flights there is always a horrible experience. But this is not, of course, the fault of THY. The airport is simply too small for the current number of flights."

Voordelen: "very nice flight."
Nadelen: "The vegetarian dish could not be arranged in this case, although it was totally the fault of the third party website"

Nadelen: "There were enormous crowds at Sabiha Gökçen airport. The flight connections were late due to bad weather, and I nearly missed my connection to Brussels. There was no information and no help, and the gate was already closed. The people at the ground terminal knew no foreign languages. All they could say was 'I do not know. This is not my responsibility'. Completely disorganised."

Nadelen: "There was no order or control when we got to the gate. Three lines were converging on one to get to the gate and no one from security or the airline was trying to have order."

Nadelen: "I had two checked baggage a and o my 1 was delivered. I have reported this at the airport and have been following up with their customer service many times but no information is yet provided after days."

Nadelen: "Entertainment in the whole plain did not work. At arrival we waited about 30 min before exiting the plain."

Voordelen: "New spacious plane, great crew, comfortable seats, good wine and partiffs. Anything thing is better than flying over priced crappy American Airlines and will avoid giving them a cent anytime I can. Lufthansa did a great job."
Nadelen: "I kid screamed all-the-way across pond all night. Maybe next force the parents to calm child down. Tough situation and had to really address that issue."
