The monitor I was watching was about 14 cm from my face. I never put my seat back, but I sure as hell will now. This flight was over seven hours, that is to long to be contorted."

Nadelen: "I felt like the airlines deliberately cheated me. I purchased a flight that was listed as "economy" , which means I am authorized one suitcase. When I got to checkout they said I had pay for the suitcase. Turns out my flight was economy 'light' flight and I had to go the Austrian airlines desk and pay euro 40 for my suitcase. Wish that would have been clear when I purchased the ticket. Also there is no clear info on what the cost is for your bag at what point in the check-in process."
Voordelen: "They were really good with checking in my excess baggage and my two cats. Cats travelled well and arrived as expected. Check in at O'Hare was very friendly. In the air, flight attendants were very accommodating and friendly. All luggage and cats arrived! The plane from O'Hare to Austria was very nice!"
Nadelen: "I think I have gotten used to Asiana's and Korean Airlines'. It just didn't seem to measure up to their business class service. The food (which has been highly rated!) I found to be just mediocre. Maybe it's because I was living in Asia for eight years and had become more accustom to asian cuisine?? I didn't love the seat either. When you recline, your feet are cramped inside a small area under the seat in front of you. It was cramped. The ability to customize the seat recline was limited. I like being able to move the head and feet into my own customized position. The business class seats from Vienna to Amman felt like coach."
Nadelen: "Booked a ticket with luggage and got email saying I am at economy class. When got to check in told me I have economy light and I had to pay again for luggage. Dissaster. Contacted priceline- did not care."

What a unpleasant surprise at check-in to find out it was super expensive airticket with only 8 kg of carry on! You are confusing people on purpose, I cant believe your service! And I was loyal customer for years and years. Well, time for change."

Then when I did travel, it turned out I didn't have the right for a piece luggage (again "small print"). I paid for the extra piece and I was double-charged (same amount withdrawn twice). Now I have opened a complained with Austrian and they haven't responded so far."

Nadelen: "While going to the gate G11 at Vienna airprt, i slipped infront of the gate in presence of 3 male austrian airways staff who were checking there. After i got up i requested if i could get some water and they said they cannot. Finally a co passenger gave me her bottle of water. I ended up actually breaking my leg"

Nadelen: "When our plane arrived late, many on board had missed connections. We received no help/guidance at gate, other than to be told to go up one floor. One floor up we had to go thru security to reach customer service. 100 people lined up for customer service from 3 Austrian airline reps. After 2 hours of standing, there were still 27 people ahead of me. The woman behind me gave me the local phone number for Austrian airlines and I was able to get on a flight to US leaving in 30 minutes. I managed to make it, and would not have had I waited another hour in line. Why no surge of staff to help? All 3 help numbers on my Lufthansa e-mail receipt could not help. Horrible experience."

It was offensive to be forced to pay to select our seats in advance on a major international airline in the first place, and then to not have those honored just made it worse."

Nadelen: "Austrian cancelled my flight from berlin and rebooked me 2 :/6: later without even letting me know, like if I don't have anything else to do than wait in berlin for 2 days!"

Not true I was at the back of the plane. Just awful"
Nadelen: "One flight was cancelled resulting in a 6 hour wait, the second flight was 2 hours late. Meat meals ran out quick resulting in a vegetarian only option for a lot of passengers"
Nadelen: "At 11h30 of 14/9 we (HOANG MINH CHAU and NGUYEN SI THANH) were standing at the ticket counter in Vienna and we could not check in due to no payment yet for the ticket and so the reservation has been cancelled. Due to this reason we had have to buy new tickets at the airport ticketing counter. So please sort out your problem with the airline and get back to me. From my bank the payment has been done yet to you. We had have double pay for one trip."

Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."
Nadelen: "Very odd queue separation at boarding. Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."
Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Voordelen: "The plane was fairly new and, for such a short route, quite big (but I guess that was just due to the increased number of passengers, as almost all of the 180 seats were booked)"
Nadelen: "Almost 3.5h delay, no reason given, a mere croissant offered during waiting time, no transparency about additional delays (it was just 2.5h, initially). Also, despite the aircraft being newer than most Tarom planes, it was cramped, with very little leg room, very cheap trays and no storage space on the back of the seats in front. No warm beverages (no coffee, no tea!!). Will seek compensation for the delay."

Nadelen: "That I couldn't bring myself to test the sandwich for fear of poisoning. You should have seen how many people handed their sandwich back to the stewardess. What happens to those sandwiches? Do they attempt to hand the same ones back on later flights? I think they do. Anyway, take a close look at those sandwiches they give you before you bite into one."
Voordelen: "That I didn't die in Chisinau"
Nadelen: "Spending the entire time I was in Chisinau at the airport vomiting by some out building on the edge of the property. TAROM gave me food that made me sick. On the flight back, a bunch of people were handing those sandwiches back to the stewardesses after looking at them. Now I know why. I went to 25 countries on this trip, and this was low-light number either A1 or A2, depending on how the other thing shakes our financially. I had 3 flights on TAROM, and only one of them sickened me to the extent that I had to throw up."
Nadelen: "there is just one main meal that contain ham meat , and am Muslim so I cant eat ham."

Nadelen: "Several Tarom flights leaving at the same time in the morning- total lack of basic organization: lines for all types of travelers (bag drop and check-in) mixed in. Result: long wait times, quarrels among passengers, all frustrated."
Voordelen: "We had 2 flight attendants (females), one very pleasant and helpful, the younger was alright, I guess she was just ok, not going the extra mile or anything, nor smiling."
Nadelen: "I was the first one to use the rear restroom and it had a terrible smell - not clean. Not impressed. No entertainment."

Nadelen: "I was one of about 50 passengers who arrived in Bucharest to discover their bags had not been put on the flight. Due to spending over an hour in the airport sorting this out, and the flight being highly delayed, I missed my connecting flight."

Voordelen: "At check in we were given a window and middle seat, even though I had requested cross aisles, as my wife has a bad knee. The aisle seat was taken by a very large man (I also am large). The flight attendant saw some empty seats in another row and moved the person in the aisle seat to that row. He's A-1 in my book."
Nadelen: "Check in agent was very unpleasant and didn't give us the seats I had requested - unhappily I didn't notice this until we were past passport control."

Nadelen: "No "flight experience" - it felt more like riding the bus - we got on, drank some water and before you knew it we were landing."

Nadelen: "Uncomfortable chairs (little legroom, no leaning backs for the seats)."
Nadelen: "It was impossible to make the check-in online. I had to go to the airport very early. The lady at the check-in desk said that my name was NOT in the system, nor was my flight reservation. She had to look up by the ticket number (highly unusual, she said). The seats were apart for me and my wife, despite the fact thet I had chosen together seats when I made the booking. Next time I will think twice before I go for Kayak or Brussels Airlines (for example, they don't have Bucharest Airport on their departure list on the B.A. website... after all, Romania is a E.U. country!) The second flight took off after 20 mins. delay, and landed w 15 mins. delay."

Nadelen: "My husband's seat had little cushioning, so that was uncomfortable. The food was so-so, but at least we were given some. I don't know about entertainment as we didn't use any. I also don't think you give boarding and flight instructions in English as well as the native language, but not being able to understand the instructions has been an issue on many planes we have taken recently."
