Nadelen: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Nadelen: "Without any explanation the plane I was due to go to Istanbul on at 11.30 was not available. I had to wait for a small plane coming from Edinburgh then wait for it to be emptied of passengers and cleaned. This meant we were over 2 hours late into Istanbul. No explanation or apology. I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday."

Nadelen: "Information on KLM website and flight status said 50 minutes delay and was never updated with the true status. 3 hours before we took off. KLM blamed the fog at Manchester but to be honest most other flights seemed unaffected. Put up in an IBIS hotel and fed substandard food and shitty hotel room with an Aircon unit that clunks into action every 30 seconds keeping me awake. It's external so I can't switch it off. Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."

They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again."

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

So it's one thing that you have to cancel the flight because of fog; but rebooking us the next day on a flight through New York that doesn't exist, was way below the standard of care I would expect from any airline. Apparently, the NY to LAX flight that KLM booked us on, was only one leg of the flight to Sydney Australia; and according to some airline agreement, only Australian nationals are permitted to take that flight! Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."

Voordelen: "The flight to and from Los Angeles was operated by British Airways and was on one of their Airbus fleet. Boarding was completed efficiently and with ease. I sat on the upper deck and was very comfortable in comparison to other major airlines previously used for this particular flight. The plane was very clean and the crew were outstanding. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for crew, and they were ready with beverages, including tea and coffee, and snacks throughout the flight. In flight entertainment was good. All in all very pleasant flight to and from the U K."

Discussing this with the staff at check0in and at the gate, made no difference as they had no knowledge of what was available on that particular flight. Every time I fly with American I'm reminded of why I don't like the airline and I will do my best to avoid them moving forward regardless of competitive ticket pricing."

The plane was old and the in in seat screens were old too, with poor resolution (no touch screen to illustrate the aging technology). Although the entertainment selection was relatively current the aging connection in the arm rest, coupled with cheap ear buds made for a poor listening experience."
Nadelen: "When I arrived to board my flight I was highly unsatisfied with the excessive charges I received for my luggage that was overweight (only by 7 pounds). I was not only charged an additional $100 for my second checked bag, but I was also charged $200 for the extra weight. As a college student traveling abroad for 6 months, I did not expect to be bombarded with these fees at the beginning of my journey. Due to this experience, I would like to have been notified ahead of time of the expected charges as it made me uneasy before a long flight."

It was a good thing that I had bought sandwiches before boarding. Return flight LHR to LAX was on BA and the main course of chicken and mashed potatoes was substantially larger and tastier."

Nadelen: "I travel at least 1 week a month either to Europe, South America or across the United States. The Airplaine was extremely old and looked like it was not refurbished at all since the 90's. Unlike basically every other airline (including airlines from the developing world) the plane did not have a personal entertainment system which is rather vexing considering the flight is so long. The decoration of the plane looked old and worn. The crew were more interested in getting the job done quickly than properly."
Voordelen: "Checking was a breeze and there were no hassles getting through security. The flight was great and they even had a vegetarian option for my meal! I would highly recommend to anyone for International flight!"

Nadelen: "Outdated entertainment system. Furthermore, little selection of movies to see--for instance, the "international" movie selection included only two episodes of Foyles War and nothing else. Is this a joke?"
Nadelen: "One crew member was extremely curt to myself and fellow passengers, not telling us to put down viewer, just slamming it away. Could have said something, been pleasant."

Nadelen: "Group boarding was all screwed up...Group 1 should be seated near the back of the plane and group 4 near the front. iberia got it backwards. Also general boarding shouldn't start until after all the wheel chair passengers have been seated... 50 people waited in the boarding tube outside the plane's door for 15-20 minutes, apparently for the handicapped folks ahead of us to be seated."

Nadelen: "Pretty much nothing good to write about. Service, staff, food, condition of the airplane were all below par. Don't see american airlines competing with other airlines."
Nadelen: "I fly frequently and never have I had such an awful experience. My 7 hr, nonstop flight took 22 hrs, staff were incredibly rude and non communicative. I sat on an airport floor 5hrs after I waited 2 hrs for a nonexistant cot. I received $19 for food in NYC and some frequent flyer points for an 11 hr airport delay (doesn't count the additional 2 on the Tarmac). Whoopee... They can have them back because I will not fly American Airlines again."

Nadelen: "The service was really poor. An international flight wee u have to pay for the alcohol, and no cheap either!! The food was mediocre! The plane was outdated. No USB or headphone. Only those offered by the airline and the sky da was awful!! The seats were small and not comfortable! The tv screen wasn't responding to the fingers, had to use the remote!! Everything was not nice at all. The stewardess and steward were not pleasant, it looked like they didn't want to be there or they were bother!! I will never fly again either British or Aer Lingos."

Nadelen: "At Frankfurt Main airport the check in counter had initially only one person and the lines were very long. After about 30 minutes they opened 2 more counters. We were waiting at the gate for the bus and the flight time had passed , but no announcement that the flight is delayed. finally we get on the plane and then we get an announcement that we the plane does not have clearance for another hour and half. The entertainment on board is very very old stuff, and shockingly the food is also bad and no vegetarian food."

Nadelen: "When boarding a flight it would be a good idea to board the plane in smaller sections instead of business class first and then all economy regardless of row. This would prevent 400+ people gathering around the gate crowding a busy walkway. Poor selection for movies and tv. One of our seats had no audio and the seat control center was inoperative so we couldn't even turn the reading light on. The audio quality and headphones were terrible on the seats that did work. Ok The seats were less comfortable than our British Airways flights on the way out. No alcoholic drinks were provided either like they were on the British Airways flight. We paid for a British Airways flight and were placed on a discount airline."
Voordelen: "The crew was friendly and professional throughout the flight."
Nadelen: "The airplane is an older model airplane. Everything rattled during even minor turbulences. The seats just weren't comfortable enough for a transatlantic flight. There was no leg room to be somewhat comfortable. Due to the age of the airplane, there also weren't any USB charging outlets for cell phones or tablets."
Nadelen: "The plane was dirty and old, the food horrible, cramped seats, dirty and non functioning bathrooms, stressed out and inattentive staff, poor coordination of seating families together (I was told my seat was given to a woman so she could sit with her adult daughter...I wasn't asked, just told), the flight was 1.5 hour delayed, my bag was lost because the incompetent staff member in Italy didn't give me a bording pass for the Dublin to LA flight (I'm still waiting over 24 hours later to find out what's happened to my luggage). Overall, this flight was a nightmare and a huge let down after flying to Rome on British Airways. I can't say enough about how wonderful that flight was..Aer Lingus was a big disappointment and a poor substitute for BA. Very unsatisfied customer!"
Nadelen: "Could not get the WiFi to work."
Voordelen: "From Brussels to Dublin, we had a good flight. The air hostess was attentive enough and the cabin comfort was excellent."
Nadelen: "That we can't even have a cup of coffee without having to pay 3 euros. I thought that was outrageous."
Voordelen: "The cabin was quite comfortable and we had all we needed from the get go, ear plug, TV, blanket, and pillow. We had good seating as there were only 2 seats on each wing. Even tough we couldn't reserve our seats, these were good."
Nadelen: "Why do those long distance air hostesses treat us as if we were a nuisance? Not a smile, rude; they had decided that those going to the US had to be bad people. Are they that political or just bad mannered????"
Nadelen: "Not polite and patient enough"
Nadelen: "Plane is Dirty. Trash around seat floor and crumbs where remote is. No charging station on seats."
Voordelen: "They did a great job. Pillows and blankets were provided. We also got to have maps showing us where we were flying over and how long until we landed. Made the trip much easier. I've always appreciated the affordable flights Aer Lingus has offered travelers."

Nadelen: "My seat was in a permanent slightly reclined position even though it's not because when the person behind me pulls himself up he would grab the back part. So it's probably broken. And so every time the crew member would check, she would say to keep my seat upright when it already is. It became annoying at some point. The touch screen did not work so you have to push several times to get the movie working."

Nadelen: "British airways booked us on aer lingus from Dublin to LAX. Worst international flight I've ever been on. The flight attendants were rude. There was trash laying all over the floor, only once did the flight crew pick up litter from customers on the 10 hour flight. My husbands entertainment unit would not work, after we paid $90 each for an 'upgrade'. Also, somehow British Airways didn't communicate I was Gluten free so I had no meals or snacks for the flight. I would not recommend using Aer Lingus even if BA books this leg as part of an overall travel."

Voordelen: "The cleanliness of the plane was decent."
Nadelen: "In flight when people were sleeping the crew were loud and interrupted causing you to wake up every time there was a food service or rubbish pick up. On an 11 hour flight this became very annoying when you were trying to get a good amount of sleep. The LCD screens on the back of the seats were the worst interaction I've ever witnessed on an airplane. The touch sensitivity was like something from the 1980s and made it very frustrating to select and navigate. On top of that the screens would spontaneously restart - my boyfriend and I witnessed the same interaction so it wasn't just one seat. Boarding at the terminal was not done efficiently in Dublin. The check in process with the kiosks was set up confusing and the crew helping did not help when clearly we needed it. There were no clear signs designating check in from baggage check. Baggage check that was self check out was not clear. When we received our boarding pass it stated that the doors would close at 1:30 for a 3pm flight - we got to the airport on time and were frantically trying to make it to our gate. After confusing baggage drop off we then had 2 rounds of security that was less than pleasant and we were ushered to a ground level terminal, or what was suppose to be a terminal. There was one food outlet that was understaffed with a huge line - we realized that our flight wasn't actually going to start boarding until 2pm so we could have taken our time. When boarding began they stated we were in final boarding and to not worry it was to stress out the people who hadn't been through security yet. There was no section boarding, it was just a free for all in which everyone waiting in yet another line. Very disorganized and inefficient. I would choose another airline for my next trip to Ireland."

The vegetarian meal was even worse than the regular meals - soggy sandwich & steamed vegetables are pretty rough."
Voordelen: "I was fortunate to get an upgrade and loved every aspect of my flight. The food was excellent, service was impeccable and offered with a genuine smile. I was comfortable and enjoyed a great selection of music. I also liked the products in the complimentary bag. I will definitely be using Aer Lingus whenever I am traveling to an area they service, and will be referring you to others. Thank you and happy 2016!"
Nadelen: "Luggage did not arrive in Los Angeles. Representatives not sympathetic. Luggage was delivered to my home the following day. I will probably not use this airline again."

Voordelen: "All in all, the seats had more legroom than I expected for economy. Much more than American airlines (AA, United, Delta). Love the direct flight as it saves so much time."
Nadelen: "This was the 4th flight I have taken between LAX and Warsaw...but was the first time that there were no beer nor wine available in between meal services. On a 12-13 hour flight, this was a definite disappointment compared to my other experiences on LOT. The other concern was there were only two meals, and no snack service on a very long flight. This again stood out in contrast to the previous flights I have taken on LOT."
Voordelen: "Business Class on LOT Flight No. 21 from Warsaw to Los Angeles is excellent! The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a beautiful plane and the Business Class seats are very comfortable. The food was pretty good and the flight attendants were extremely nice!"
Nadelen: "There was a two and a half hour delay for technical problems for our flight from Warsaw to Los Angeles on Tuesday July 24, 2018. There had been a two-hour delay for my flight in from Warsaw to Moscow, also for technical problems, on Friday July 13, 2018. Obviously, LOT needs to insure its planes are safe, but it needs to do so sufficiently in advance of take-off so that its passengers are not inconvenienced by lengthy delays."
Voordelen: "Unexpectedly our luggage was still dispatched on time to our final destination dispite the delay and short time in Warsaw airport."
Nadelen: "The absence of clear communication on the duration of the delay or its reason and this despite the fact all passengers had been boarded on time."
Voordelen: "Flight was smooth, stewardess we're very friendly, and accommodating."
Nadelen: "Flight was delayed (not their fault) however when we land their was no one to help with transfers or new arrangements with flights that were missed. Had to get 3rd party involved in order to get to destination."

Nadelen: "This is about as budget as you can get. Entertainment systems didn’t work, drinks were warm. Food was mediocre. Bathroom doors didn’t work, and the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up while using it! Yuck! Had to shuttle EVERYWHERE between flights, before and after. Crew was not attentive, and not so friendly either. Only good note was the young lady who checked our bags in Warsaw and helped get our seats together (after the airline messed the seat assignment up in the first place). Ugh. Worst airline I’ve been on."

Voordelen: "I was boarded very professionally. I have a heart condition that requires medication. I explained this to the gate agent to request assistance in boarding and they complied with my request."
Nadelen: "LOT is not an airline that impressed me in any way. When I flew from Los Angeles to Warsaw, my bag was weighed, and I was told it was over limit. This, in spite of the fact that I weighed this bag on a calibrated scale prior to entering the airport, and my luggage was 5 pounds BELOW the limit. This seemed a blatant attempt to gain additional money from me, because I know the bag was not overweight. The food selections were average at best. Leaving Warsaw traveling to Los Angeles, we left almost an hour past our original scheduled departure do to the need to obtain additional supplies. On my next trip to Europe, I will look for alternate flight providers."

Nadelen: "Nothing seems to be free anymore; I really didnt like having to pay for a 2nd bag on an international flight, since so many airlines do allow you 2 checked bags for free, even in economy. Having to pay for the 2nd bag and anything besides a coke seems cheap, really cheap to me and makes me not to use LOT for long haul flights."

I arrived to the airport 3 hours in advance and finally made it to the gate when boarding started. Food can be improved as well. Had the pasta with spinach which consisted in some tortellini with very greasy cheese and way too many peppers. Second meal consisted in a sad croissant with ham and cheese."

Nadelen: "flight was delayed 3 hours to begin with.. it was unorganized....no apology was given whatsoever.. plane was a bit uncomfortable. flight crew looked unhappy..I like to see people smile."
Nadelen: "I was late to catch my plain to San Francisco 5 minutes because it was too much people at customs and the plain coming from Madrid was 15 to 20 minutes late due to the bad weather. The plain was supposed to departure at 6:30pm and I got there at 6:20pm the agent at the gate told me that the doors were closed and she gave me a plain ticket for the next flight to San Francisco."

He was tall with long legs and took away from my husbands leg room which is why we paid extra for the exit row seats. Not sure if he worked for the airline as he was dressed in regular street clothes but annoying all the same."

Voordelen: "On my return flight to the United states, I got to fly with Iberia airlines. After flying my first segment with British airways, I wondered if the Spanish airline could keep up with BA's standards. Well, Iberia not only met the standards, but raised the bar! I am not sure if the fact that this was a day flight (unlike BA's red eye trip) or the fact that it took 2 more hours, but the crew served a full lunch, a snack AND a light meal, when with British i only received one full dinner and a morning snack."
Nadelen: "I'm not sure if it's the European dryness, but though helpful, the flight crew did not looked friendly."
Voordelen: "This was a long international flight so we got dinner, snack, and breakfast included. Food was decent, service fine, and entertainment selection was good. Also, since it was not a full flight, there was extra room and therefore a comfortable flight."

Nadelen: "The guy in the same row as me took off his shoes and used the remaining seats between us as a bed. I thought it was rude and disgusting and showed a lack of spacial awareness. Blankets were not very soft. Also, one of the flight attendants was really struggling to push any of the trolleys, running into the arm rests of the seat."
Nadelen: "the flight over LAX to Madrid was horrible. An old plane, both my husband and I had broken seats, no screens, and no charging capability. The flight from MAD to LAX was much better with a newer plan. I would however, not fly with Iberia again, because the out bound flight was so awaful. So average rating is okay."

Voordelen: "I was moved to an aisle seat b/c there was a couple that wanted to sit together. I appreciated that food was provided, but it felt very rushed. I enjoyed the in flight entertainment as it helped the time go much faster. The crew was very nice and did their best to keep passengers comfortable."
Nadelen: "The flight itself was probably the most turbulent flight i've ever been on. In addition, boarding and de-boarding took a long time. we had to just stand and wait for both - for a much much longr time that normal. They were able to make up the time in the air, but it felt unusually long to both board and de-board."
Voordelen: "Very uncomfortable seat from Iberia Airline.The cushion was almost down to spring. Need to upgrade. Crew are not very helpful. Service is not good. Specially at the Airport, speaking English is very bad. I need an assistance to request for PRM ASSISTANCE for wheel chair, I don't believe that he don't speak English at all, Why would he be in that position. It should have bilingual person. I'm sure whether he pretend too I have walk back & forth to get help for information to have it translate to Spanish. All He does is make priority to all local people, it took one hour to get the wheel chair & then by transfer to intl national airport by bus took another hour, we check in @ 8:30AM by the time we get into the terminal was 12:30PM the flight leave 2 12:45PM. What a service. I will never ever flight with Iberia Airline. What a BAD service. Communication by itself is very very bad, the airline crew hardly can speak English. We have 6 people. We will definitely not recommend Iberia Airline. Thank you."

Voordelen: "The crew in Madrid was extremely helpful. We almost missed our flight because of traffic getting to the airport but they were able to help us check-in quickly and get our bags on board. We were honestly impressed by their efforts as we were very late. In addition the plane was comfortable and the entertainment offerinand were great. For such a long flight it barely felt that way."

Needed extra leg room and paid for exit row seats. Got to airport and our seats had been given away. At customer service at our destination spent almost 2 hours trying to get a refund and getting exit row seats for the return flight. Terrible service in reservations. Nadelen: "The front of the plane, even in coach, has better space between seats. The middle and back of the plane are quite crowded. There are no screens, the only entertainment is the magazine. The food options are expensive."
