Nadelen: "No electronic boarding pass. The food was horrible and almost nothing left when they got to my seat. On top of it, duty free shops closed for this flight 90 minutes prior to departure. Not possible to get within that time when you have to wait for a boarding pass."

Nadelen: "Tiny seats! Mediocre food and movie choices weren't great. On the upside, I ended up watching an Italian movie (English subtitles) that was interesting and never would've seen otherwise."

Nadelen: "Economy is so cramped. My son couldn't eat his meal because the person in front of him had his seat reclined and there was simple no space left. I don't think economy seats in this cabin should even recline and if they must, they certainly should forbid it during meal times. The entertainment system on this particular aircraft is tired. Non-intuitive and a bit hard to use. I have flown on a lot of Swiss flights and most of the aircraft have a better system."

Nadelen: "Basically no legroom. No USB port to charge phone. Sloppy service (I was skipped for breakfast). Couldn't even open the tray table fully due to lack of room between rows. Swissair NEVER again"

Nadelen: "I usually fly from MIA to ZRH. Swiss tickets are by far the highest. Despite that, you have to pay extra to book a seat or to sit next to your partner. I elected not to pay and ended up in a middle seat in the last row, next to kitchen and toilet... Very frustrating experience. Next time I will buy. The cheapest ticket, can't be worse than Swiss. Sorry."

Nadelen: "Due to late dinner, was not allow to follow asleep as I needed"

Nadelen: "The fact that there were approximately 4 inches between my face and the head-rest of the man reclined in front of me for the ENTIRE flight. Imagine you are packed into a mason jar for 8-10 hours with an inconsiderate human resting the top of their head 4 inches from your lips for an entire flight from Chicago to Zurich."

Nadelen: "We couldn't fly Zurich - Malaga due to a 5 hour delay in our first flight : Washington DC- Zurich. We lost our connection and United (who operated the fight) reschedule our flight wrong first of all, our names didn't appear in Zurich to Madrid flight, and it wasn't enough time to do the connection between Madrid Malaga, so we have to spend one night in Madrid. In addition we lost our luggage. They've ruined our vacations."

Because it did; I am going out of my way to tell everyone who is interested to listen of my experience and telling them NOT to book through Kayak! and about my experience with SWISS NOT caring one bit to help!"
Nadelen: "I did not take this flight because after making numerous calls, NO ONE at Kayak or Swiss would help me make other arrangements to fly back 4 days early because of an emergency! I will NEVER book through KAYAK again. Will I fly SWISS again; Would you? I talked to several people and NO one was willing to help in any way! It's all about your bottom line. There is NO caring among this company at all! I will tell everyone I know about this experience."

Nadelen: "Called ahead to book a special seat because of a back problem -- gave my credit card to the customer service agent, who assured me that all was in order, but when I arrived at the airport the day of the flight all information relating to this special reservation was gone...nowhere in the system. My complaints were met with nothing but rudeness by the Swiss Air employees at JFK. I then called Swiss Air, who confirmed that it was their error, but they told me that there was nothing that they could do, even when I asked if they cared that they were losing my business, they showed that they did not care at all. Never flying Swiss Air again."

Nadelen: "Retard de l'avion ( 3-4 vols différents). Perte de mes bagages qui à entraîner un déplacement pour rien à l'étranger pour le travail vu que je n'avais pas le matériel de travail avec moi. Nous faire monter dans l'avion, rouler sur le tarmac, après 30 min de prise de retard sur le départ, nous annoncer qu'on retourner à l'aéroport et qu'il fallait changer d'avion pour problèmes techniques. Pour nous annuler complètement Le vol! Nous faire descendre de l'avion, devoir aller se trouver un autre vol, aller recuperer la valise, retourner l'enregistrer, et retourner à la sécurité tous ça avec une amabilité digne de la froideur allemande! Auncuns repas ou autre bois a été offert au moin pour s'excuser. Après avoir eu tous ces problèmes avec la même compagnie j'ai contacter à plusieurs reprises le service client qui m'a raccrocher au nez! On m'a dit qu'on me remboursait Le vol. Je n'ai jamais eu de nouvelles."

Il me semble totalement illogique de me faire dire qu'il n'y a plus de place pour moi dans l'avion alors que j'ai le billet en main et qu'il a été payé. Comment une compagnie peut-elle accepter mon paiement alors qu'elle n'est pas en mesure de garantir le service pour lequel elle a été payée? Selon cette philosophie, il faudrait peut-être payer nos billets d'avion une fois RENDUS à destination? Beaucoup de stress inutile et une mauvaise opinion de la compagnie aérienne..."

Nadelen: "2 changements de portes d'embarquement. NOus nous sommes déplacés longuement dans l'aérogare. Embarquement pourri : encore un bus pour rouler longuement sur le tarmac. J'avais l'impression que l'on cherchait notre avion. Un avion Star Alliance n'est pas Lufthansa. Le siège du passager devant moi était défectueux et reculait sans cesse vers moi. DEux interventions des agents de bord n'ont pas suffi. Le semblant de repas était avant l'arrivée ã Montréal était infecte : une pochette de pain avec simili sauce que l'on présentait comme une "pizza". Ce vol n'avait vraiment pas la qualité Lufthansa!!!"

Nadelen: "Le seul à l'embarquement qui était rude et qui n'avait ni grâce ni temps pour expliquer ce que ses collègues ont fait avec courtoisie. Les sièges trop rapprochés malgré mon siege dégagé et le style bas coût, qui signifie surtout bas coût pour la compagnie."

Voordelen: "Toute l'équipe à bord (au hasard la même pour les deux étapes de vol) a été super accueillant, ça fait toute la différence par rapport aux aménagements de plus en plus style "low-cost.""
Nadelen: "Les sièges trop rapprochés et le style bas coût, qui signifie surtout bas coût pour la compagnie."

Voordelen: "It was a total nightmare all Austrian flights they put us on were canceled !!! We did not leave Vienna for another 7 h a total nightmare all planes had technically difuculties !! Austrian airlines had total chaos !!!"

Nadelen: "Il a fallu courrir pour attraper l'avion aucune information assistance pour trouver la porte C et mon bagage a ete perdu"

Voordelen: "Nothing, we never got to go on our flight to Vienna. The only good thing is the manager, Servando, found us an alternative route after some delay. Even then, we had to haggle and really fight for fair treatment for a mistake that was 100% the airline's fault."
Nadelen: "Our seats were involuntarily given away by the airport staff. We were never notified until we were scanning our tickets to board in. At that time, we had already checked in and received our boarding passes, as well as checking in 3 bags while we were traveling with a large group. There was no way we wanted to volunteer our seats, especially since we had a transfer flight to catch. We clearly stated we did NOT want to volunteer our seats at the ticket counter. No staff notified us until we were about to get on the plane to board. The flight supervisor was very rude and unprofessional, offering us no alternative solutions. I was really disappointed with such a grievous mistake by the airline, and I would not recommend flying Austrian Airlines unless it was absolutely the only airline available. They need to fix their processes for authorizing when they volunteer a passenger's seat. This caused our group a lot of stress and almost became a logistical nightmare."

Nadelen: "We ended up needing to check a bag. It cost 40 Euros which seemed high. We were sent to another line to pay then back to check in. Then our flight was 45 minutes delayed leaving. Fortunately the pilot got us in to Zurich only 20 Mon late. Just typical "never know what's gonna happen"."

Nadelen: "We were almost three hours late on arrival. Being at VIE airport after midnight with no buses going home is no fun."

Nadelen: "My Swiss flight from Stuttgar via Zurich to JFK was cancelled before 24 hours without explaining the reason. They should explain the reason at least. I had to take an another flight and arrived at JFK after 6 hours from the original flight. My trip was totally messed up, so I was not happy at all."

Voordelen: "Flight attendants were extremely friendly and considerate of passenger needs. In flight Wi-Fi is free in economy. Good leg space between the rows. Overall it's rare to find such good service now a days."

Voordelen: "The economy seats had as much leg room as the Premium Economy seats on Luthansa, so the comfort over a long flight was better than I expected."
Nadelen: "The charge for checking a 2nd bag was $100 which I thought was much too high. Food was average and not enough given that we were on the plane for over 10 hours."

Nadelen: "Waited longer to start boarding the plane than the flight took. There are 2 gates in Lugano "airport" and no plane or flight at the other gate. Shouldn't be this difficult. The inflight crew was nice and attentive for the little time we saw them but the ground crew never ev n bothered to make an announcement. Just had us sitting there like a heard of cattle."

Nadelen: "Long transit more than 12H without free accommodation nor meals"

Voordelen: "The plane arrived at destination ahead of schedule."
Nadelen: "€40 for a single 12 kg checked bag--that could have been gate checked? Seems excessive to this traveler."

Nadelen: "We flew from TLV to Skopje via Vienna. None of the flight were on time and there was zero communication about the flight status. We arrived to the gate to start the boarding and they just told us wait here for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes we were asked to wait another 20 minutes. Only when we missed the take off time by 10 minutes they bothered to update us and inform us that the flight is being delayed in 2 hours."

Nadelen: "We had to stand around for a long time waiting for a bus to take us to the plane. The bus was horribly crowded. Then we arrived at the plane and had to walk up the stairs to get on. There was no food served---just a cracker and some juice or water. After we arrived in Paris we waited a long time for the baggage to arrive."

Voordelen: "Ok food, on-board personnel friendly. Seats could use a tad more space but were ok for economy"
Nadelen: "Boarding personnel in Vienna was very unfriendly and didn't inform us of the need for a new boarding pass during transfer"

Nadelen: "Although AU blamed late arrival of the plane from Russia, fact is that the plane was at least one hour at the dock before boarding and the AU team was just extremely slow to get boarding done. We were all invited 45 minutes before boarding to board, when apologies were already offered for the slight delay, which turned into 1.5 hour overall. Worst is the lack of communication during the 45 minute wait, for which I have little understanding seeing many older people clearly suffering."

Voordelen: "Excellent service on airplane, ample legroom in economy, the largest movie selection I've seen on a flight, delicious food. I had the vegetarian option and I was not disappointed."
Nadelen: "The boarding process at Vienna airport was unorganized and took longer than necessary."

Nadelen: "My luggage was lost again It is the second time in a row that happens"

Nadelen: "Embarquement"

Nadelen: "Sarted 90 minutes late because there was no crew available for this flight. In the cabin we later learned that they had to keep their legal rest times. The issue I have, why was there no information as soon as this issue became clear ... lets say the evening before the flight?Why make everyone arrive at 5am at an airport if you know 12 hours earlier there will be a 90 minute delay?"

Voordelen: "No problems."

Voordelen: "Not at all a comfortable experience, but I suppose it served its purpose."
Nadelen: "Seats in economy class are way too crowded, plane was too warm and air was stale (and had an odd odor). Choices of dinner selections ran out quickly, and serving any type of curry (the only option left) on an 8 hour flight is a very questionable choice.... Staff gave some people the full can of drinks, while others only a half glass. Also, even though there was not much turbulence throughout the flight, the plane was still VERY shaky for the majority of the time in the air. Not very comforting for those who are not frequent flyers. In the future, I plan to stick with British Airlines."

Voordelen: "Overall the flight was better than most. The crew was friendly, competent and as attentive as coach allows these days. I appreciated the attendant who asked the man in front of me to put his seat back up during the meal. The little red pillows were great - big enough to be useful and comfortable. Although we chose not to watch a movie, we were impressed with the offerings. Comfort on a long flight in coach is a thing of the past but we knew that when we chose to fly that class."
Nadelen: "Most of the crew was great (hence the five star rating) and the flight in general was at least on a par with competitive airlines but we did have an unpleasant encounter with a young man who we were told was the purser. When my husband asked about what seemed to us like a very high level of security (including dogs on the gangway as we boarded the plane), this young man replied in a very condescending manner,"It's America. You tell me". Well, we are Americans, not always in agreement with our country's actions and attitudes, but that comment was needlessly dismissive and hostile."

Nadelen: "Miles and more didn't register my points for the brussels to Vienna leg!"

Nadelen: "Our first flight got canceled so we were bumped to a later flight. I spent over 20 hours in airports for this flight!"

Voordelen: "Pretty standard for a long international flight. Good movie selection."
Nadelen: "There was a medica emergency on the flight and I don't think they handled to too well. I know there isn't much you can do when your in the middle of the Atlantic. Guy regained consciousness but they left him in his seat where he then vomited for the next 5 hours. Smelled so bad for us sitting nearby, but that doesn't matter if the guy was okay. Just seemed like they needed to get him in the back laying down where he could be more comfortable and more easily cared for by the doctors who were fortunately on board."

Voordelen: "very professional and kindly service"

Nadelen: "The cabin crew was racist! She asked me to move from a seat because she wanted another guy ( obviously from her country ) to take it! Rude and racist."

Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Voordelen: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Ensuite reacheminement en bus ou taxi pour les plus chanceux. Sans qu’on nous donne le moindre repas. Pourtant atterrissage prévu initialement vers 11h. La il est 14h10 passé et le ventre vide et toujours sur la route entre Lyon et Genève."

Voordelen: "Got to Amsterdam on time and everything was great including the staff"

Nadelen: "Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again."

Nadelen: "Too late i missed my connection flight"

Voordelen: "In Toronto werd ik aangesproken door een dame van KLM met de vraag hoe ik reisde, alleen of in groepsverband etc. Zij gaf aan dat ik gebruik kon maken van de lounge en dat er hulp aanwezig was om bagage in te checken bij de self check-in. Uitermate vriendelijke en behulpzame dame. Tijdens de vlucht was er zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam cabinepersoneel beschikbaar."

Nadelen: "Lang wachten bij de incheck"

Nadelen: "That I was forced to check my baggage. I never received a chain ticket for my luggage. The flight has a 32 hour layover and KLM lost my luggage and it was not found until a week after my arrival back home. I still have not received my bag at this time. The boarding crew was manually tracking who boarded and who didn't. It was a cluster."

Nadelen: "Handling of delay: - Massive delays and time wasted with individual case handling at the transfer centre in CPH when a more efficient group/bulk handling of passengers on the same flight with similar cases would make more sense. Handling of baggage during the delay. Un-necessary additional delays with baggage handling due to poor management."

Voordelen: "Very helpful staff."

Voordelen: "The food and entertainment on board is great. I was very pleased with how they organized the checking of bags and the fact I picked it up at my final destination without any issues and right on time."
Nadelen: "Some of the staff at the check in desks can be very rude. Also, on my initial flight, they closed the check-in early and left many of us stranded without knowing who to talk to and how to manage to get on the plane. When someone from SAS finally came, I was told I would be escorted through security and most into the plane but then the "manager" or whoever was in charge denied it. The plane did not leave for another our and instead of arguing with the costumers they could have just helped us get on the plane. It was unfair of them to close the check in desks early and on top of that to catch a plane the next day they wanted to charge and exorbitant fee. I Wii never fly SAS again."

Nadelen: "Plane was a bit old, inflight entertainment limited, temperature on aircraft fluctuated a bit. We were also an hour delayed in take off with no communication."

Nadelen: "I am a road warrior and my job requires me to travel 100% of the time around the world. This was the first international flight I've been on where even small snacks such as peanuts or pretzels are for purchase only. Plus the flight attendants seem to be disorganized and in rush. I will never use SAS again."

Voordelen: "We were eventually rebooked in the class we paid for."
Nadelen: "Our flight was cancelled with no notice. We were rebooked in economy class when we paid over $5,000 for business class tickets, and told we would "probably" receive a refund for the difference. after much prodding, asking and begging, we were finally rebooked in a flight on Lufthansa the same night. That airline was upset, though, because SAS did not call them or notify them that we had been switched to their airline."

Nadelen: "The SFO crew was not helpful at all. Upon check-in, the SFO to Copenhagen leg of the flight was 2.5 hours delayed. When I expressed concern to the SFO ground crew, they said "You'll be taken care of in Copenhagen" in a very dismissive manner. I noted that we would miss our connecting flight (Copenhagen to LHR) and that there wouldn't be another direct flight that day. The SFO crew member told me that I was wrong that there was another flight available (a 4:30 pm flight). I told her that that flight wasn't on the SAS website and she told me that I didn't know what I was talking about in a rude manner. When I arrived in Copenhagen, the ground crew informed me that there was not a 4:30 pm flight and there never was. To get to London, I had to be fly first to Frankfurt then to London on another airline. Overall, this delay cost me over 6 hours. Utterly unacceptable and will never fly SAS again."

Nadelen: "Planes are old. No conveniences at all - none. Charged for one piece of luggage (my only piece) at the gate. Security process extremely slow. 1.5 hours early to airport and I made it on board by 9 mins. There plane sat for 20 mins on runway before departing."

Voordelen: "I had a row to myself because I was a 1st class ticket holder but they didn't actually have 1st class seating."
Nadelen: "Smaller than average seat size."

Nadelen: "This is a non frills flight and that was expected but I NEVER expected to pay for bags to be checked on an international flight. 66 Euro per bag. It was the first time I had paid for checked bags on an international flight. I will look elsewhere next time."

Nadelen: "Well I looked online and the type of ticket I purchased said that I would have a free checked bag and I did not and I was charged 66€"

Nadelen: "Crew was rude. Had to ask 3 times for a drink before I actually got it and they snarled at me about having to pay. I didn't care about paying, at that pout I would have paid $100 for some water. Seats are RIDICULOUSLY small and when the person in front of you puts their seat back it's impossible to do anything. Forgot having your tray table down."

Nadelen: "Baggager fees were high"

Voordelen: "Staff seemed nice. Boarding didn't take too long even when I was selected for a random check."
Nadelen: "The air conditioning didn't go on until take off. There were no options for food. All alcoholic beverages were not complementary and priced too high. I got sick after eating the meal that was provided. i reserved a seat but at check in the computer assigned me a different seat number. I was flying with a family member and instead of sitting next to them I had to sit next to a stranger."

Voordelen: "Flight was short."

Voordelen: "The entertainment system is among the best of airlines."
Nadelen: "The Lufthansa representative in Frankfurt made me check one of my bags, when SAS clearly said I was allowed to have one carry-on and one personal item. This was not a Lufthansa flight, but the rude attendant insisted on enforcing Lufthansa rules on an SAS flight and refused to even allow me to voice an objection. I will not fly Lufthansa ever after this. SAS should have its own representatives who understand customer service at all gates."

Voordelen: "The boarding process was smooth and the flight left and landed on time. The crew members were very pleasant. The comfort of the aircraft is mediocre, but that is all across the industry."
Nadelen: "This flight was ~3.5 hours and there was no 'free' food; it was all for purchase. SAS can learn from their competitors and realize that flights over 2 hours are different than short haul ones."

Nadelen: "I missed my flight due to car troubles and has been very difficult in trying to get a refund for my flight. SAS was very unhelpful at the airport I had to go to Delta and purchase and entirely new flight!"

Nadelen: "It's extremely difficult to catch the connecting flight to San Francisco in 45 minutes"

Nadelen: "Gate attendant in Stockholm was not pleasant to my travelling partner, when she was concerned about me being able to get on the flight in the rush from leaving the very delayed flight from Reykjavik. she was not empathetic; was unhelpfully directive, impatient."

Voordelen: "On time bags made connection"

Voordelen: "Crew was great. One of the best ever."
Nadelen: "With a flight scheduled for around 11 hours, seat comfort is at the top of my list of importance. These big Airbus planes have the worst seats for long hauls. I had forgotten previous experiences when I made the reservation but won't in the future. If it is a big Airbus, I'll opt for a flight with a 767, 777, 747 or 787. And what's with one soda per flight? Overall, an acceptable flight but just barely."

Nadelen: "Customer Service was terrible at the counter. Check in was aweful. Surpirse very expensive bag fee. There was no effort to make me aware of the bag fees before the flight. Automatic recheck of bags didn't work. Everything took longer than expected and nobody was interested in helping solve the problem."

Voordelen: "Easy in and out. Crew was friendly and hilarious (told jokes, etc)"
Nadelen: "Seats were uncomfortable"

Voordelen: "Nothing."
Nadelen: "Contact via email about a delayed plane. The email made it sound like I cancelled the flight. Then sent to a hotel on the metro with no places to see within walking distance. Stuck with mediocre food and room. Put on a different carrier. Luggage was lost. Have tried to call SAS to no avail and have not been contacted back. Lost money on a beach cottage due to the delay. Had to buy clothes and essentials in order to keep plans in the states. Bag was missing for two days and delivered at 9 pm."

Nadelen: "Connection time in Copenhagen was short. While I got to the gate in time, my checked bag did not, and I had to wait for it for 3 hours in Zürich (or have it forwarded, but I planned too much travel in Switzerland to make this a useful option)."

Voordelen: "On time; service"

Voordelen: "The check-in was really easy, I didn't even require to print out the ticket, really nice flight and travel. 10/10 would recommend"

Nadelen: "Boarding time not announced clearly enough"

Nadelen: "The problem with the check in. Why can't we use the standard systems like all other SAS flights?"

Waarom zijn prijzen niet 100% van de tijd accuraat?
Prijzen voor zitplaatsen in het vliegtuig, hotelkamers en huurauto's kunnen frequent wijzigen. Meerdere personen kunnen ook op hetzelfde moment een zelfde reisoptie proberen aan te schaffen. Dit heeft als gevolg dat het soms voorkomt dat bepaalde prijzen niet langer meer beschikbaar zijn.
