Swiss airlines should account for these things when they give options for the connections. we had about and hour and half layover and did not even have time to have coffee or anything before a 9+ hour flight. We just ran from one flight to another and barely made to our flight.."

A day after I perches a multi destination tickets I called Swiss air costumer service requesting to upgrade my tickets to business class. no one would even try to help me. They just kept saying I need to contact my travel agent. After 3 phone calls I gave up and decided to wait and upgrade my ticket at the airport. 2. In Prague the night before my second flight I hurt my knee real bad to a point that I couldn't walk at all. The next morning I call Swiss air costumer service again trying to explain them my situation telling them I can't fly and won't be able to make it to my flight. Costumer service cancelled immediately all of my remaining tickets and try to sell me new tickets for a full price. I said I don't mind buy and pay for the one flight I missed but there is no reason for her to re sell me the rest of my tickets that I already paid for, again. Then she start to change prices up and down like in a Chinese flea market. At that point I begged her to talk to a supervisor but she Kept ignoring my request and just try to negotiat for a lower charg she kept me on the phone for 5 hours. My hotel phone bill for that one call cost me 150€. I never got to talk to a supervisor but she took down the charge to 517$ Not included a new ticket flying out of Prague. 3. For my last flight going home. I showed up 2.5 hours Earlier. asking to upgrade my sit to business fin desk send me to talk to asupervisor. The supervisor was trying to process my request but didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. One minute he was on his computer then the next minute on the phone with Swiss air headquarter then back on his computer for more then 35 minutes with no resolute. I still had an hour and half before take off when he told me he can print me the ticket but it's to late now since the gate for my flight is close and I already missed my flight. I said that's impossible cause I still have an hour and half to my flight but he insist on the gate been close and there is no way I can get on that flight. Right away I run back to front desk asking them to print my ticket as fast as possible cause I would really like to get on that flight. In front desk they told me not to worry cause I got plenty of time to get on that flight. So I gave up on the business upgrade and told them that at that point I'll be just as happy to sit by the window. Of course they put me on the very end exactly in the middle. After the door was locked I looked around and saw plenty of free sits available including by the window. 4. In Zurich I finally managed to upgrade my last flight coming back to Tampa fl to business and noticed that the only way they could do that was by contacting Swiss air headquarter for approval. When I asked why is that since I fly a lot and never seen anything like that before one of the lady's there told how Swiss air left all of their front desk powerless and all decisions must be made by headquarters."
Nadelen: "When we finally arrived in Tampa. It hook them an hour and a half to get are bags out. I honestly doubt I'll ever fly Swiss airlines again. Ever. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had flying. Ps the crew on the plain ware a lot nicer and more professional the people on the ground."

Instead of sprinting through the airport, a man was waiting for us immediately outside the plane. He got our luggage right from the cargo, drove us to another man who stamped our passports, and then drove us to the plan just in time for takeoff. It was incredible service and everyone was super friendly. We so appreciated them making sure we caught our connecting flight!"

Too many announcements by the Captain -- shut up and fly the damn plane! Do you think the crew might replenish the toilet paper on an 8 hour flight? on another note: Seat spacing is adjustable - very close seats Overall--- underwhelmed"

Used a pen point to release it and get it back into the suitcase. No handle so it was impossible to drag the suitcase. The ground personnel representing Swiss Air at the Boston Baggage carousel was a novice, had never filled out a baggage claim form before. Told me they would phone me. I am a bit skeptical about this claim. Not sure if it was Swiss Air of the local ground personnel who damaged the suitcase."
Voordelen: "The entertainment consoles are great, plane is modern and clean, staff on board are very considerate and helpful. Flight left and landed on time and our luggage arrived intact. Everything that we paid for we got."
Nadelen: "The space between the seats is very small, and the seats recline very far, I found myself a bit too tall to fit in them comfortably, as even reclined my neighbors seat was nearly pressed against my nose. My much shorter girlfriend did not have this problem, and slept through the whole flight. SWISS only has one or two check in agents at LAX, and the wait was about 3hr to process the 300-odd passengers on our 777. I know they're only running a flight or two a day from LA, but I am sure there's a speedier and more efficient way to check us all in."

Nadelen: "At the moment I bought the tickets, I got in contact with SWISS in order to book the seats and a baby bes for a small baby. However, I was told by the contact center that it was not possible to book seats (not even buying them). I have also tried to do it online, without success. One day before departure, I called again and got the same answer and was told to book seats and baby bes during the check-in at the airport. At the moment of the check-in in Dubai, I was informed exactly the opposite: that I should have requested it via contact center or online up to 48h before the flight!! Personnel at the airport was very impolite. Inside the plan, the crew was very nice and helped us to have seats in front with a small bed for the baby."

Felt like I was being scolded. True, I'm trying to be frugal and avoid a big investment in shock-proof luggage and/or checked baggage fees, but as long as it fits under my seat, what's the big deal? I'm sure I easily weigh at least 70 pounds less than the person sitting next to me, so the extra 4 kg in a backpack that I (female) can personally carry shouldn't be an issue. Then, there's no jetway. You leave the gate to board a bus that takes you to a plane on the tarmac where you must climb a rather large flight of metal stairs. Reverse direction, It takes quite some time and a few crew members to assist those with disabilities to deplane. All the time the rest of the passengers are waiting in the bus to get to their connections. Would only ever fly this airline again if it was the only option to get where I want to go."

They should have just made a decision and stuck with it and better communicated what was going on. My poor friend was waiting for me in Larnaca so she stayed at the airport each time thinking I would soon arrive."

Nadelen: "The flight boarded about 45 minutes late, and none of the employees at the desk at the gate bothered to tell anyone why, or when an estimated real boarding time would be. Flight was pretty warm as well, and seats were tight even for the 120 pound person I am. No entertainment, but they did show a map of where we were which was nice."
Voordelen: "The staff in Santorini were wonderful and we are very grateful they fixed whatever had gone wrong with our booking."
Nadelen: "We arrived at the airport for our initial flight (to Athens) and were informed that "the system" had cancelled our flights from Athens to Dubrovnik, so the very nice woman in Santorini re-booked us. We arrived to Athens and had to exit security and then re-enter security because of the gate we were to fly out of. Then, the flight was delayed by almost 2 hours, and we only received 3 announcements each saying there would be "information" at a later time."

Nadelen: "I was not able to use this reservation and when I contacted Aegean, they would not refund any portion of the ticket nor give me credit. Therefore, I cannot recommend the airline nor will I ever fly them."
Voordelen: "Because of Aegean's transfer director mistake, I missed my two connecting flights back to the US and representatives did nothing to help me. I ended up buying new flight tickets plus money for a night in athens hotel."

Nadelen: "i flew into athens in business class but back in econ, there was a huge comparison between how the crews treat passengers. i don't see why crews should be smiling to business class passengers but not to economy class, we're all customers after all."
Nadelen: "300 to 350 people online waiting, few windows open. We waiting for passport checkup for 1 hour. I had very bad experience. I don't know it was aegian airline or Greek airport. I think if aegian airline has nothing to do with passport check up then it's airports fault. For European Union were only few people and 2 windows open. For us us citizens and everybody else 300 to 400 people only 4 windows open. I would try to avoid Athens airport in the future"

When we queried this, we were told it would be up to us to switch with the person sitting next to us. Overall very disappointing. I would not fly Iberia again."

I will never fly with Iberia again. I would rather pay more and fly with another company. I was very upset about my flying experience."

Nadelen: "The seat on the LGW to MAD leg of my journey was very painful and uncomfortable. Seat pitch was very short. I have never seen such close seats in 45 years of flying including bargain airlines let alone more pricey higher quality airlines like British. Iberia was supposed to be an extension of British. When I arrived at MAD I went to the Iberia desk and tried to make an upgrade to their "business" class which was not up to the level of British's Premium Economy. At the Iberia desk at MAD, or online, or on the phone to upgrade the short leg of my return trip without raising cost of my whole round trip from USD $1250 to over USD $4000! years.This was RETURN part of my journey! Also was not able to choose seats ahead of time at MAD when I landed, online, or on the phone. British also said that I could not upgrade just the first (MAD to LGW) leg of my return journey. I would have to upgrade the LGW to TPA also. It is critical to me that I can physically fit into the space between my seat and the one in front. Emergency evacuation would be very difficult for all pax with the short seat pitch. My having to sit sideways with my legs in the aisle would make it more difficult for other pax to to evacuate in an emergency. Since I need a wheel chair I can no longer request the exit row as I have done for 45 years. British should be aware that bad experiences with partner airlines tarnishes their reputation. As a premier airline British should pressure partner airlines to maintain seat pitch at no less than 32 inches which is still tight for many people. Since not all partners have equivalent classes of fares, British should allow mixed classes. For example on a TPA to MAD round trip journey, it should be possible for the transatlantic legs to be at Premium Economy prices, and the short legs LHR or LGW to MAD at business class prices. We were changed from boarding door to boarding door, we were told that there were no hotel rooms available in New York that they could place us in and told that they were testing a plane and as soon as it was confirmed it could fly we would be on it. At approx. 1am or a little after we (the passengers) from the flight were located at boarding door 7 and they brought an Iberia plane right by the windows in hopes that we would be put at ease at the sight of a possible flight only to find out that there are no flights out of JFK after 1am. The lies they told and or lack of truths was very frustrating"

In Madrid, after the flight from Zurich landing in terminal E, it was a 45 min walk to terminal A, international terminal. No bus, no assistance, no one to ask how to get there if one is in a hurry. no info desks to be found anywhere. I can't even imagine for a disabled person. THe airport crew with a cart would not give a ride to an old lady with cain. Wow. It is the worst airport anywhere I have flown out of. The check in process was less than good or efficient. I would not fly this airline nor connect through Madrid."
