Nadelen: "Big struggle for airlines still remains varying quality customer service. Finnair still seems to struggle with this occasionally. Finnair can work harder to keep customer service quality high. Hate to say it, but perhaps letting the bitter, last generation flight attendants who seem to have a grudge about the decline of the glamour and benefits of the job as flying has become commonplace with more competition (seen this on Finnair & N America’s older airlines line United)"

Nadelen: "Plane was late leaving Helsinki due to broken latch, which made us late getting into Chicago. After landing we waited at least 45 minutes to get to a gate. It took at least 30 minutes to get off the plane and then getting through customs was a nightmare. Arrival board at O'Hare said plane was on time, but listed gate as 0, which of course doesn't exist so our ride home had no idea what was going on or what was taking so long and ended up waiting over three hours for us to get through everything to meet them."
Voordelen: "The shorter flight to Zurich was on a smaller plane than the overseas one, but I'm not sure what model. It seemed about average for comfort; overhead bins held my backpack easily, while I find many older planes do not. Coffee or soda was free, everything else was for sale. Attendants on this flight were very busy and very friendly. Check-in was run very efficiently. My check-through luggage arrived intact. Overall a good experience on a two-hour journey. Plane arrived about 10 minutes ahead of schedule, which is always a plus."
Nadelen: "No real issues with this flight. it accomplished my objective - to get to Switzerland intact, with a minimum of fuss."
Voordelen: "It was interesting that the flight from Helsinki to Chicago served a Indian style dinner comprising of lentils, rice and chickpeas. I liked that too, though I prefer the meditarranean fare. My kids liked the macaroni and meat dinner. The plane was clean and comfortable"
Nadelen: "The flight attendants could have been a bit more cordial and smiling. The dessert was only a choclate. Would have liked something better. Entertainment needed more variety. Boarding was a bit of a mess as they did not let families board first and were not very accomodative of families with small children, though I had a 9 year old, but there was a family with two very small children and they were not very helpful to them."

Nadelen: "The e ticket info didn't accord with the real ticket info such as gates so if you don't check out the bulletin board properly , you may wait in wrong gates but not that crucial. It's always about the airport problem with crowded passengers or in size not aeroplane. Everything is about time control . ICN is quite large in scale so I couldn't use duty free shop due to so many passengers and the spacious hallways even though I had 2hours . perhaps you gotta presume it as 3hours for enough time . so I had to throw out my lotion or moisturizer at ICN .pfff I wasted my money :p"
Voordelen: "I loved the service. The flight attendants were attentive and courteous. They walked through the cabin periodically to offer water in the 6 hours or so between meal services, and also had self-service drinks and snacks in the galley during that time. Flight attendants asked passengers to put their seats forward during meal times, which very few airlines do. It was the same level of service I have come to expect from the Asian carriers that I usually fly (ANA, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Singapore). The meals were fine, and so was the entertainment. There was a decent choice of movies."
Nadelen: "The economy seats were narrow and cramped on the A340. I was in the first row of economy that wasn't premium economy. Even though the person in front of me had loads more legroom than me, he had his seat all the way back for almost the entire flight and hit me in the head while I was reaching for my bag under the seat in front of me. In order to get to anything in my bag, I had to put my head into the aisle because there wasn't enough room to bend down. Because of the angle of the seats, it was nearly impossible to get into and out of the row (and I was on the aisle)."
Nadelen: "I had a seat on an aisle, which was good. But, the TV / video screen did not work. Luckily there wasn't a passenger next to me, and I used that screen. I told the steward, but never got help with the screen. I had to " Lean " for the 9 hours. The bathrooms became gross after 5 hours. I don't need to explain."

The seats are quite small and recline a minimal amount My biggest complaint is that four of us traveling together could not be seated in close proximity to each other, despite making that request over four months before the flight. Extremely frustrating to deal with check-in process as well--because we booked on Finnair, we could not use online system. This was an aggravation considering we were traveling. And--one of our bags was left behind in London. \"

Nadelen: "The crew at Barcelona Airport, especially "Javier" (he refused to give his last name or show his badge - he had it turned around) was very rude and unhelpful. We had to go to another desk person to help us who was a bit more polite. The Finnair Customer Service telephone service was completely unhelpful even though this was booked as a Finnair Flight. The crew on board was ok, at best. The food was the poorest we had in both flights we took (we travelled from Barcelona to JFK, New York, and from JFK to YVR, Vancouver). We were most pleased with our flight from New York to Vancouver, with Cathay Pacific, who, by comparison, had very helpful and pleasant staff both at the JFK Airport and on board."

The Air France flight that was boarding next to ours at gate 9 got everybody onto the plane before our flight did and their plane was scheduled to take off 10 minutes AFTER us. The boarding attendant didn’t do a good job of announcing the group number for boarding. After priority and no baggage passengers, it was just one big mob. Our boarding passes were in group 1 but my mom ended up being one of the last people let through. The 2 attendants made her wait because they needed to tag her luggage. I guess they felt it was too big for carrying on. Which is fine. But they literally made her stand there while they let almost everyone else in line through. They even tagged other luggages and she was still waiting. And when she asked them about it, they told her to wait and they have to assist other people. What’s the point of being group 1 for boarding then? We still had to wait til pretty much everyone else went in. And the fact that our seats were in row 29 which is at the tail end of the plane made it even worse. Now we need to squeeze by 28 rows of people when we could’ve been in our seats and out of the way a long time ago. Terrible service!"

Voordelen: "Check-in was good, no queues. I arrived about four hours before scheduled departure time and check-in had been open already for an hour. In Mexico City Airport I had missed a flight three days earlier as I'd been observing the departure screens and they'd failed to update the status of my aircraft: this time I was informed of the gate at check-in. Flight was on time and didn't do anything scary. I was lucky as my neighbour found another free seat so left me with more room."
Nadelen: "I've found Iberia to be uncaring. This flight was much the same. The food and drink service was cheap, and I felt the attendants didn't feel like they had to try to give good service. The new entertainment screens kept coming on, and I kept turning them off as I wished to sleep. Eventually I discovered they were being triggered by the electrostatic charge on the pillows that I was rearranging."

Nadelen: "Check in online was useless, still had to stand in line to check luggage. Food was ok, kind of mushy chicken, cold bread, and minuscule salad. Breakfast was a sad cold and dry ham and cheese croissant."

Nadelen: "First leg of flight, the most uncomfortable seats. I had literally no leg room. Will never fly them again. Second leg different aircraft, much newer. Happier crew better food. But still won't fly them again because of the first leg. It was unacceptable"

Nadelen: "The people from Iberia told us to pay what we had to pay and that they'll give us our money back when we return. They payed me only for the taxi but for anything else. I lost more money than I was expecting and the people returnung the miney back to its clients were so disrespectful I really donmt want to use Iberia again."
