It is a relief to know that in this age of carriers that charge you a lot and treat you like you are paying a bus ticket there are airlines that still know the key to success. Boarding was fine and not dependent on local personalities. You can tell the company cares about training. The food and entertainment is excellent. Seats are still a little smaller but they try and make up with it with other perks. Flight crew was polite, smiling, and accommodating no matter the time. Pillows, blankets, snacks, etc. all given without having to ask or be charged. We were also given these little self care packs with toothbrush & paste, eye pillow, socks, and earplugs! Overall it made a long flight over night very comfortable."

Food was cold and poor - did not have second bite on most food. Crew serving was as if they were in training (must be) Cramped seat, which did not recline much, which was unusual for Emirates. Glad to be out of that plane."
Voordelen: "The flight attendants were fine—not outstanding, but fine. But the representatives, both on the phone and behind the desk, are excellent—willing to go the extra mile to help out their customers."
Nadelen: "The seats in economy and the flight, in general, are on par with the average airline—nothing special. Also, unless you're into Bollywood movies, the entertainment selection is sparse compared to other international flights. And the touch screen is in need of re-calibration."

WHen landed in DXB, There was a long walk form the plane to the gate where you can find a stroller in the airport( which is only a single stroller) and having 3 kids which does not help. Why not give strollers at gate just like all other airlines! I was prepared and had the double stroller with me! Never again on Emirates with kids!"

Nadelen: "Again NOT impressed with busing out to plane and hiking up steep set of stairs in the heat of the day in Dubai. The bus ride was long and there were few seats for elderly, disabled, moms holding kids, etc."
Voordelen: "The seats were quite spacious and comfortable. The crew was very friendly and helpful. They actually seemed genuinely happy to be of assistance (a rarity, especially on 9 hour flights!)."
Nadelen: "Boarding was a fair disaster. No structure or communication about lines. Unclear who was boarding and when. Like a slow-moving stampede. The food was actually very yummy. I just prefer fresh food to be included. Like fruit. Didn't use any entertainment."

The touch screen does not respond to your finger and sometimes you can't even get the remote to work. They definitely need to update the technology on all planes."
Voordelen: "I would like to say this is the most horrific experience I have ever had traveling and using Kayak. I was late by 10 mins getting to the ticket counter and Emirates gave my seat away. I then proceeded to attempt to rebook and the Emirates agent advised they are sold out for the next 3 days and have no flight alternatives to offer. I contact flight network and the person I spoke proceeds to tell me the same thing and there is nothing they can do for me. Basically that I would need to purchase a whole new ticket on another airline as Emirates doesn't have availability. Which I did. Now I'm looking online and Flight Network has my exact flight on Emirates available at same price I paid for my ticket. But now my new ticket purchased to get home is non-refundable. I'm out over 1000 dollars because of bad info. This has been a horrific experience and after being loyal to Kayak for years.... I will never use the site again."

Voordelen: "My wife and I were given a free Upgrade to Business Class on the first leg of our journey to Dubai. The airline follows a system whereby it upgrades, higher paying economy class passengers, if the flight is overbooked in the economy class. I love to travel Emirates because of top quality service by their ground staff and in flight crew.."
Nadelen: "My bag never made it with me into DMM. Even though it was a single non-stop flight, my bag didn't make into Dammam with me!! I don't know what might be the reason!!"

Voordelen: "The aircraft was nice, clean and seemed new. The staff was very professional, immaculate uniforms and appearance. Great attention to detail. We traveled from US - Nairobi - Kigali - Johannesburg, changing planes four times. These were some of the nicest planes. I felt very safe traveling this airline."
Nadelen: "Too much bread in the meals. The meals were adequate in quantity but each meal came with two rolls, which was excessive. Just a note - for the boarding area in the airport. Please have restroom facilities in boarding area, past security so you can use the restroom without having to go through security again. Also, if food and beverage is available for sale in the boarding area more passengers would make purchases."

The Kigali airport waiting area is awful, and the holding area made it so that every child had to use the bathroom as soon as we boarded."

Nadelen: "My bags were mistagged and almost sent to Lagos instead of Nairobi. The agent noticed the error after the second bag was tagged. He went to search for my first bag that already went down the ramp. Although I gave him the exact description of the bag (purple hard case), he retagged the wrong one (red soft case). Good thing he took a photo. Third try was the charm but shouldn't have happened in the first place. Agents need to be more diligent with where they are sending bags and to double- and triple-check before he luggage is sent down the ramps."

The airline would not allow me to cancel the flight, and could only offer me a 1-stop flight that arrived at my destination hours after my initial flight would have arrived."
Nadelen: "Reservation was not honored, and only 3 prople out of 5 get boarding. Airline did not provided any other alternative and our friends had to cancel tour and return home!"

Nadelen: "Both flights were terribly delayed and while the crew apologized we sat on a small plane. In Entebbe the reason was they overbooked the flight. So leave those people behind to take the next flight, don't keep us prisoners on a plane for hours... Stupid management decisions."
Voordelen: "Food was beef brochettes, one of the best economy meals I have had. Wine was very good, from South Africa."
Nadelen: "Seats were not adjustable. It may be that I was in front of the exit row, but I looked and didn't see anyone leaning back anywhere. On the other hand, flight was only 1 hr 20 minutes."
Voordelen: "The Rwandair plane was modern and clean. Kigali airport has a nice cafe, and check-in was efficient. The plane left a few minutes early."
Nadelen: "Check-in closes one hour before your flight. Economy class: Food was a clingwrapped sandwich. The attendant gave me two bottles of a good South African wine. Security has gotten quite uptight at Kigali airport. They now stop your cab a couple hundred meters short of the airport, and have a dog check the vehicle. You have to pass through another security checkpoint at the entry to the airport building, and a third security into the boarding area. The final security check even takes away any empty bottles you have. And don't take any fingernail scissors in your handcarry, even if they have blunt points. You may have an hour or more wait in preboarding, and without water or bathroom excess. So takke care of these needs in advance."

Nadelen: "Ground crew at NBO - Rwanda Air has Kenyan Airways do the work in the terminals. Bad idea!"
Nadelen: "This airline is an operational nightmare. I purchased a ticket with a connection, and the second flight being a codeshare, two months in advance. On the day of travel, I checked in, checked two bags, and headed to the gate. An hour before the flight, a Rwandaair agent approached me to inform me that they were no longer code sharing with precision air, the second flight. Chaos ensued, my bags got lost, I got stuck in Nairobi, etc. in Nairobi, one of the Kenya airways agents literally said to me 'avoid Rwandaair and precision airlines - they are both airlines that do not follow any regulations, and not just operational, but safety as well.'"
Voordelen: "Crew were pleasant. The flight was comfortable."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed, causing me to miss a connecting flight. Boarding was a bit confusing as multiple flights were departing from Kigali airport at the same time and same airline. Information was not conveyed clearly and it might have been easy to begin boarding the wrong flight."

Voordelen: "In general, it was a pleasant flight from Entebbe to Kigali. The Bombardier was in pristine condition. There was no food offered (the flight is 45 minutes) and there is no entertainment available. The crew was pleasant and the seat comfortable (I am 5'11). I would fly again with RwandAir."
Nadelen: "There was nothing significant enough taken into consideration the characteristics of this flight and the construction in Entebbe."
Voordelen: "Unfortunately i missed the flight from kla to Nairobi via Entebbe due to closue of Entebbe Road. Return from Nairobi was okey but was delayed for about 40 minutes"

Nadelen: "After I bought my tickets the flights were rescheduled, giving us an 8 hour layover between flights... some in our party were stuck in the airport with nothing to do, and there is nothing to do in that airport. One question, when will passengers learn that listening to music or movies on the plane without headphones is really uncool?"

On m'a promis de trouver une solution pour qu'à la fin la personne ne vienne même pas me dire en face qu'il n'y avait pas de solution. On m'a simplement dit que le vol est complet et que j'aurais du penser à cela avant... Pas très professionnel !"

Voordelen: "Le vol de Swiss était comme d'habitude agréable et sympa. Il n'y a vraiment pas grand chose à redire."
Nadelen: "Le soucis se situe souvent dans les aéroports, notamment celui de Tegel à Berlin. Je vous déconseille fortement d'y atterrir, c'est vraiment inadapté et des infrastructures vraiment désuètes."
Nadelen: "J'avais réservé le vol chez ANA (joint venture) : impossible de pouvoir réserver un siège puisque le vol est opéré par Swiss. Chez Swiss : impossible de réserver puisque j'ai réservé chez ANA... Repas franchement mauvais, rien de japonais, pas de chopsticks alors que la moitié des passagers étaient japonais. Divertissements : équipement vidéo d'un autre âge !"
Voordelen: "Le surclassement en business mais surtout le check in automatique via KAYAK, les avertissements sur le retard via KAYAK trips et l’information sur porte d’embarquement et le numéro de carrousel pour récupérer son baggage sur l’app KAYAK- Merci KAYAK"

Nadelen: "missed connection in Zurich because flight left one hour late, and connecting flight didn't wait the extra five minutes which would have allowed us to get on flight. Transfer desk was unable to get us to Bari same day although it was only noon; rebooked for 6:55am next day... Significant financial loss to us."

I chose 2 side seats online but plane must have changed. Literally could not move. My travel partner ended up spilling wine on himself primarily due to this and 1/2 size drop down trays. Call button brought no help , had to get up and go retrieve steward in back myself!"

Voordelen: "Paying only half of what other USA airlines offered we had a one stop trip from (IAH) Houston to (TLV) Tel Aviv and were served two meals with offerings of other food if needed. I don't know what was served but it was good yet very different from what we eat in Texas. Then we had a 2 1/2 hour layover in (IST) Istanbul Turkey which gave us plenty of time to get off the plane, shuttle to the terminal gate then walk around the airport for about an hour before heading to the next gate for our connecting flight. The crew was very pleasant and the flight very smooth."
Nadelen: "The landing in Instanbul Turkey was very poorly done, by far the worst I've ever experienced but the rest of the flight and connecting Turkish Airlines flight to Tel Aviv was great. The seats are very cramped but not much different than any other economy seat I've had on any other USA airline. The price of the ticket more than made up for the seat."

Nadelen: "I don't know if English speaking is a requirement for the crew, but it was difficult to ask questions to the crew in English, even simple questions like "Could I see what the cake looks like to choose my snack?" This didn't really interfere too much with the flight"
