Voordelen: "The crew were great! The seats are not that comfortable, it happened that I had 3 seats raw for myself but the armrests were not going up so I could not utilize them and lie down to sleep."

Nadelen: "Crowded seating, 20-year old video system, headphones that did not match the two-jack system, lackluster service in flight. Generally my experience with KLM has been good, but this was well below average."

Nadelen: "Was not informed that checking in online is the only way to secure a seat. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

Nadelen: "The plane wasn't refueled and so was not ready for take off once the passengers were loaded. The plane had a technical problem when it tried the first take off and so it had to be abandoned. This was alarming.."

Nadelen: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Ensuite reacheminement en bus ou taxi pour les plus chanceux. Sans qu’on nous donne le moindre repas. Pourtant atterrissage prévu initialement vers 11h. La il est 14h10 passé et le ventre vide et toujours sur la route entre Lyon et Genève."

Nadelen: "Not enough room, way too crowded, all food is charged, entertainment content is pre-historic. A lot of room for improvement for the price you pay"

Nadelen: "They need to check the tv screens. On two different IcelandAir planes my screen wasn't working."

Nadelen: "Terrible meal options for an overseas flight. Discount airline-style buy your own meals not clear when purchasing ticket, poor drink service. Poor entertainment options. Ticket price did not reflect bare basics discount airline class of flight and service. Very disappointing."

Also when we finally got our luggage it was soaking wet (I had a backpack and my clothes inside was wet!) so clearly the luggage had been standing out in the rain for quite some time."

Nadelen: "Small complaint but the movie selection was not very diverse & would have liked to have known before hand that there would be a charge for good on a longish flight from YVR to KEF."

Voordelen: "the seat was comfortable, the cabin temp was perfect, and the views were incredible"

Pleas to address the situation were totally ignored. This, I believe, is an unconscionable way to run an airline."

But it would have been nice to have an announcement as we arrived at the gate “ladies and gentlemen traveling to Denver, we will begin boarding in a few moments. Here is how this will go or this is"

Voordelen: "The flight was comfortable and the crew were helpful."
Nadelen: "It would have been better not to stand long waiting to board."

Voordelen: "The crew was pleasant throughout."
Nadelen: "Very squished quarters for a seven hour flight! Several couples were separated and had to reconfigure to sit together. No room under the seat in the middle row. What happened to free meals on international flights over 5hrs or so? Terrible airport management with a crush of international flights all leaving in a small space and no warning on the arriving flight to Reykjavik about how to prepare for the connecting flight. One of the main restaurants was closing at 17:00 and had run out of some dishes at 15:30."

Voordelen: "Food on business class was good. The coffee was excellent."
Nadelen: "I had to wait almost one hour at check in. The person in charge said there were "issues" with my visa. She allowed me to board to Reykjavik and said the issues would be solved as I flew. I had to check in again at Reykjavik. There was no "issue" with my visa and I was received normally at my destination. Comfort level on business class was sub-par and options on entertainment center very limited."

Voordelen: "I had sprained my ankle the day before my flights, and the crew were all very nice and accommodating for me."
Nadelen: "I didn't like the fact that when I booked my flight, I was misled to believe that my checked baggage was included. The message said that "cabin baggage was included", but since when is cabin baggage NOT included?? I was surprised to find out when I was checking in that I had to pay an extra 50 Euros to check my luggage in, which I was really not happy about since the flight itself was already so expensive."

Nadelen: "The check-in process was horrible. It took over an hour to drop off our bags and get a boarding pass."

Voordelen: "Like the stopover in Iceland. Fly out tomorrow but continuing this review now."
Nadelen: "Nothing. NA"

Voordelen: "Iceland Air personnel were super accommodating, in Seattle on the ground and in he air."
Nadelen: "Swissport personnel in Europe were awful. Bags were delayed in Amsterdam for over an hour after landing. Check in at Brussels was also an hour long queue. Boarding in the terminal in Iceland was very disorganized."

Voordelen: "The crew were fabulous,"
Nadelen: "Tranisting through the reykjavik airport was a horrible experience. There was no information, and the terminal (especially the gate areas) were seriously overcrowded."

Voordelen: "The plane was quite modern and comfortable"
Nadelen: "I preordered and prepaid for meals, but on this flight I had to go ask for my meal."

À bord, le personnel a fait le nécessaire mais pas plus, service peu chaleureux et minimaliste. Le débarquement s’est fait avec une navette, comme à Mirabel dans le temps, et comme il n’y avait qu’une seule navette à la porte arrière, le processus a êté laborieux."

Nadelen: "We got stuck at the agent counter checking in our bag for 30-45min cuz they couldn’t figure out my wife’s visa. They also charged us €88 per check in bag. We could t do it online for some reason. I’m never flying this airline again."

Voordelen: "Good movie selection?"
Nadelen: "I had to pay for extra luggage, because though I paid for an Economy Standard ticket which does come with checked-in baggage, there was nothing written on my ticket to prove it. I paid for the standard ticket ahead of time specifically. Although the staff were nice enough, for a struggling student, this mix-up was unacceptable. I now find myself making calls and trying to get in contact with both Kayak and Icelandair for a refund of the 88euro. I think I was particularly unlucky, because I was picked twice for special security checks, which pulled me out of the line I was waiting in while the flight was delayed, and I had to re-enter the line at the end. Though I requested window seats, I did not receive one either time (though I knew it wasn't guaranteed). There was also no overhead storage space for carry-ons overhead, so I had to make my way to the front of the plane to store my backpack, and several of those who came after me had to sit with their carry-ons on their lap. The seats were also pretty uncomfortable with a thick unadjustable headrest; and the air quality was terrible, a bit smelly and very dry. As a frequent flyer (who does fly with icelandair occasionally) this was unusual."

Voordelen: "Nothing good about this airline"
Nadelen: "Forget about comfortable experience during the flight. The way how they list the ticket from Kayak is the scam. Stated Economy class on Kayak and their own website ticket info. Once you chek in, they will stated this is the cheapest economy ticket, doesnt allow any baggage, and you have to pay I think around $150 for round trip baggage. End up with just to carry on, wouldnt able to shop in Europe. If you includ baggage flight would be similar to other airline provide baggage and quality services. Huge mistake, customer service located overseas, and dont care about customer."

Voordelen: "Got home safely"

Nadelen: "Typical flight now days. Seats are too small for comfort. There needs to be action by regulators of aviation industry to increase space for coach passengers. I think these regulators should be required to fly coach three times a year in a coach seat on flights of three hours or more."

Voordelen: "they have USB ports for cell phone charging."
Nadelen: "They do not provide any food or snacks at no charge. No headphones provided either."

Nadelen: "Baggage fees were horribly expensive."

Voordelen: "Everything went okay for us on this flight. In the future, I will suggest to my wife, who books air travel for us to read the fine print. The cost to check a bag was $100.00 which would have run us $300.00 for the trip: Boston to Brussels with a layover in Reykjavik, but on the return Brussels to Reykjavik with four days in Iceland and the return to Boston, so there goes the cheap flight! I did enjoy the in-flight movie and a documentary on the return trip as well."
Nadelen: "My own earphones on the flight from Brussels to Iceland did not work. I could not plug them into the system."

Voordelen: "My exit aisle seat was just great, with no one on either side of me !!!!! Very kind airplane staff. I had a great sleep."

Voordelen: "Clean plane and facilities. Nice crew. Email notifications of delays"
Nadelen: "Multi-hour delays - strike induced on outbound flight, weather induced on return flight. Email notifications were nice but inconsistent. Expensive food."

Voordelen: "Second time I have flown to Brussels with Iceland Air. I love their customer service and especially the flight route. My flight going over was cancelled due to weather. I called their reservation office , had to wait on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes , but it was worth it. The reservation agent found me a new flight on LH, she explained I would get a conformation about 3 hours after our conversation with the flight information and new txt information. I was able to check in with LH on line that evening. Iceland Air had every pre assigned seats for me."
Nadelen: "The boarding process in Kevlavik is pretty awful. No seating around gate areas. You have to stand in line for about 30 minutes to then have to get on shuttle to be driven to plane where you have to walk on stairs to get to plane, or in some cases you actually get to board from the terminal, which happened yesterday. I have MS,and sometimes standing for long periods of time and then having to climb up stairs is difficult for me. I also see a lot of elderly people and parents with babies having difficulty with this boarding process. Their airport really needs major expansion for the amount of people that travel thru their. Seating araes around their gates should be a priority."

Voordelen: "Flight good, plane clean and comfy, service good, bags checked through to final destination in spite of stopover in Iceland."
Nadelen: "I inquired about baggage prior to our flying get. I was told that we would not be able to check bags through to final destination due to there being a stopover. When it turned out the bags were checked through, we were unprepared for the overnight without our luggage. Could have been greT had I been given the correct information."

Voordelen: "Good price and short layover. The plane was clean and comfortable."
Nadelen: "The boarding process in Reykjavik was chaotic. Food and entertainment available for PURCHASE."

Voordelen: "Personnel sympa, avion confortable."
Nadelen: "Absence de repas de qualité offerts."

Voordelen: "The crew were amazing, kind and attentive. My seat 30H had the ultimate leg room ( I am 6' 4") so it was fantastic for me. The food was quite tasty. Really enjoyed the humorous BA video for the safety"

Voordelen: "BA is reliable in many respects. 1- Timely 2- Friendly staff 3- Decent food served in a timely manner 4- In a BA flight, you know exactly what you get"
Nadelen: "The airlines are pushing people to upgrade with those ever shrinking seats. I had a slightly above average size gentleman seated next to me and the seat was so tight he had to totally take over the shared arm rest and our shoulders were rubbing most of the time. That's not a way to spend 9+ hours"

Voordelen: "It's a non-stop from Austin to Heathrow. Flight attendants were helpful and professional. Flight was on time."
Nadelen: "This 747 should be refurbished or retired. I've traveled this flight on 777s and newer 747s. This plane was an embarassment."

Voordelen: "Friendly and helpful cabin crew, even on this short flight. I liked the fact that the Captain stood outside the flight deck to say goodbye to the passengers. A nice touch."

Voordelen: "Comfortable seat, great food and service. Very quiet and smooth ride on the upper deck of an A380."
Nadelen: "Worst issue was the noisy baby at the front of the cabin - no airline seems to have a good solution to this problem!"

Nadelen: "Not good enough to let back of plane consistently have no choice of food because it has run out. Maybe alternate end of plane you start service to avoid this happening."

Voordelen: "I require a wheelchair for getting around the airport. When I first checked in at LHR, they claimed to have no record of my wheelchair request and my seat change, despite my very clear notations of who and when these were made. They did have a record of my paying for one suitcase. The agent at LHR promised to make these corrections so I would not have the same problem when returning to London. Furthermore, to turn this into a humiliating situation, at the gate I was informed that the jetway was broken and they would have to find some other way to get me onboard the plane. I cannot believe that British Airways has no contingency plan for a situation like mine. After many discussions between BA reps and ground crewmen they decided to bring me down in a lift at Gate 34, though my plane was at Gate 32. I was then loaded onto the freight platform of one of those food delivery trucks and driven over to my plane. The truck backed into place and again I hoisted up to the plane. However the plane door was locked and we had to bang on it for them to finally open it. To my great embarrassment I helped down the aisle to my assigned seat, looking back at the curious looks and glares from all those passengers who had no explanation for the delay and humiliating scene. Officially the flight was listed at 28 minutes late, when in reality it was 40 minutes till we taxied away from the gate My return flight from Brussels was little better because the changes that were supposed to have been entered at LHR never were and so I had to go through this whole routine again costing me over one hour in delays. Fortunately I was able to board the flight through the jetway and did not have to be hoisted up again, and delivered like freight. How would you rate these flights. I had problems with every single British Airways flight!!"

Voordelen: "Extended information from the captain was very nice"

Voordelen: "Because of the cabin crew strike the old biddies pushing the trolleys were smart enough to give the passengers double the quota of wine to keep us quiet so we didn't mind the slow food service. I had an excellent flight sleeping thru half of it."
Nadelen: "The audio provided by the ear buds provided produced very poor results, probably causes long term hearing loss."

Nadelen: "They don't even give you water without charge"

Voordelen: "Got food poisoning from flight or Italian restaurant at terminal 3"

Voordelen: "the plane was clean"
Nadelen: "3 hour delay, no communication with customers regarding delay or connection. Once we finally arrived st Heathrow for the 2nd leg of our journey, we were put on a later connection, no apologies whatsoever from any of the employees. Overall we spent over 4 hours in the air. We were never served even a glass of water or a bag of pretzels. The seats were very tight with very little leg room, and I am only a 5'6" female."

Nadelen: "Boarding the plane. I do not know why the airlines load the people who are at the front of the plane first. Load the people on the back of the plane first. That way, when you call the next section, the people in the back are not blocking people as they enter. An alternative is to call people in sections based on where they sit in a row. If you have window seat, you should be called first. Why? Because so many passengers who have aisle seats have to get up to let people with middle or window seats get in. So, they hold traffic up as people are trying to get to their seats. After window seat passengers get called, then call middle seat passengers, and last, call aisle seat passengers."

Voordelen: "I was prepared with my smart phone and iPad and external batteries, turns out I needed none of those things! What a pleasant surprise for the in flight movies, music and tv to be perfect. I didn't even have to use my external battery on the flight because there is a perfect USB port in the screen in front of you. The food was as good as airplane good gets, the plane incredibly comfortable and staff was attentive. I don't love the long flights but this BA flight is now my go to anytime Im headed to Europe."

Voordelen: "Al parts of flight expertly handled by staff, especially cabin people. Thanks for a great flight, VA."

Nadelen: "The seats on this British Airways flight were so tight and pitched forward that my knees were jammed into the seat in front of me and I felt as if I was being launched forward the entire flight. Not comfortable or safe."

Voordelen: "I wish the menu can be more kid friendly. I enjoy the food no my kiddos"

Voordelen: "The ground crew at checkin were friendly."
Nadelen: "The old aircraft that looked like it had seen better days. The old entertainment system that was jittery and crashed."

Voordelen: "Great crew good service, except a little unorganized at the gate. Best service I've gotten compared to other airlines I've experienced."
Nadelen: "Food was a little cold. Sitting in the middle of the row is the worst most uncomfortable in economy."

Voordelen: "I was seated on the upper deck of a 747 (63K) and had plenty of room. The cabin was quiet even though the plane was full. Service was excellent. I enjoyed the food. Cabin crew were great."
Nadelen: "The entertainment system was old and didn't have the selection of programs available on newer aircraft. Flight map was not at all detailed. Time for an upgrade BA! Boarding was a bit of mess. BA has so many different categories of who gets to board first that it got to be very confusing. People couldn't understand if it was their turn or not and people kept being turned away to wait their turn. It would be far easier if people were given a number from 1-5 like Air Canada and they call those numbers which are also printed on your boarding pass. I was flying business class and I think it a terrible cheek that they charge extra (in my case $129-$159 EACH WAY) to select your seat in advance. That's insane considering what I have already spent on the business class ticket. Seems like a money grab to me. I usually fly Air Canada, and this high extra charge will probably make me think twice about flying BA in the future."

Nadelen: "The low resolution screens and limited programming compared to other airlines and aircraft"
