Nadelen: "I fell sick and my doctor advised against flying. Tried calling Swiss Air and JustFly.com: 6 calls back and forth and 7 hours on hold, no help. Finally got advised on driving to the airport to make the flight change at the Swiss Air counter at O’Hare. The representative told me to bring a note from doctor to switch flights. I did the next day. The same representative looked me in the eye after advising the day before and said there’s nothing she could do. Why make an elderly sick person drive to the airport again if you know already you cannot help??Absolutely terrible experience, no help from the airline or travel agency. Total loss of the full price of the ticket."

Voordelen: "I really liked the "About my flight" application on the viewing screens because it always gave me an idea of what we were flying over and how much longer we woulld be in the air. The food was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised that I could have wine with dinner or any time the attendants offered beveragess. The attendants were always professional and helpful. They all were fluent in English as well as several other languages. It was a nice touch when the attendant wore white gloves when he or she was collecting passengers' trash after meals and/or beverage service. I loved the cheese that was served at dinner."
Nadelen: "My seat was a little confined when I put my carry-on bag in front of me on the flight to Zurich, but it was roomier when I stowed my carry-on in the overhead compartment on the returtn flight."

So we were not able to sit together & weren't even in the same area of the plane. We also had an old plane & seats very uncomfortable. The movie screen was barely visible so basically u could just listen."

Voordelen: "With German precision the crew worked the area. When I started to feel hungry they came with food. When I was getting thirsty, they delivered beverages. Overall, I liked Lufthansa and I would recommend them to others."
Nadelen: "There was an obstruction in the way of where my feet would go. I was on the aisle and the guy at the window seat had the same problem. Luckily, we had no one seated between us. We basically did the unspoken and we shared the foot space of the vacant middle seat."

Nadelen: "The fact that the person in front of us could push her seat back to the point that the TV screen was up in my mother's face. Just because someone has paid extra for a better seat, does not mean they should inconvenience elderly people (who are less flexible in moving further back). This creates a poor environment. Please consider not having your seats recline to the point where they make the person in the seat behind, extremely uncomfortable."

Voordelen: "The staff was not friendly at all. For international flight, especially long ones the seats should be able to go back further and not feel like a board, the seats were uncomfortable and small. The area between first class and the back of the plane had air issues, and I was sweating and so hot it woke me up, so on a 10 hour flight I got 1 hour of sleep. Ruined my first day of vacation."
Nadelen: "Everything was aweful except for the movie selections."

Voordelen: "The entertainment was terrific for a long flight. Staff was friendly and helpful."

Nadelen: "My original itinerary was booked with Airfare.com with a 93 minute layover at ORD, subsequently abbreviated to 40 minutes. Despite my repeated requests, neither Airfare.com nor United nor Lufthansa were willing to adjust my consequent itinerary to correct that conspicuous deficiency. Instead, both United and Lufthansa representatives repeatedly assured me that the 40 minute connection would present no problem; and Airfare.com tried to extract a 33% premium on its original sale to make any such adjustment. As it turned out, my apprehensions were realized when boarding and tarmac delays at SFO consumed the entire layover, and a subsequent gate delay at ORD frustrated the commendable efforts of the flight crew to facilitate the de-boarding of passengers with close connections. Contrary to United and Lufthansa's explicit reassurances, the long run halfway down one concourse and all the way back up a second left me four minutes short of the gate closure. You guys need to get your act together. If either airline chooses to finance its operations by selling tickets to an "aggregator", such a business practice should not relieve the airline of its obligation to provide reliable service to its ultimate customer, the flyer. I am currently working to identify an appropriate regulatory agency to whom to report this cynical misrepresentation of services and the patently corrupt business model upon which it is based."

Voordelen: "We were standing in the bus that was suppose to take us to the plane for a long time, and there were no communication as to why we were delayed I believe were waiting for the plane to be ready. They should have not took us in a crowded bus if the plane wasn't ready"

Nadelen: "Our flight was cancelled with no explanation created a nightmare for us and latam did not step up. Very disappointing"

Voordelen: "New plane, nice crew, good entertainment, good food."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed by 4 1/2 hours and it was handled horribly. First, I had to wait at check-in for 1 hour despite having checked in online. Next, we were told hourly-wise to check-in at the gate to find out when our flight would leave. This was a hassle and caused me a lot of stress since I had to make new plans with a new itinerary for my arrival in Chile where I was supposed to meet my elderly parents. The staff kept telling me they didn't know when we'd leave asking me to check back four times before they were able to give me a definite time. Aweful experience that caused me a lot of stress and inconvenience."

Nadelen: "With the red eye flight, there were limited food options. Probably what happens normally, but it was a third leg of a journey for us an we were hungry!"

Nadelen: "My luggage was delayed on the previous leg of trip, so I didn't have it on arrival in Cusco. Also, after booking I was unable to modify the reservation to add 1 checked bag, so I had to pay a large fee at the airport."

Nadelen: "They made a mistake at the check in counter and gave my wife someone else’s boarding pass which was for a different flight. As we tried to board the flight, the woman at the gate told us it was the wrong flight and wouldn’t let her on. I showed her our reservation and she refused to help. She kept pushing back and told me the other flight arrives at the same time which wasn’t true. It was an hour later. She had no interest in helping us resolve this issue until I had To get assertive and threaten to file a complaint. I boarded the flight and the flight attendants questioned us why Y wasn’t on the flight. I told them she was stopped. After lots of back and forth the woman at the gate realized the mistake. Y boarded the flight. We didn’t receive an apology for the horrendous treatment of a customer. At this point we had nowhere to store carryon."

Nadelen: "The boarding process in Lima was chaotic. I was to continue on the same plane from Miami and Lima to Buenos Aires, however, nobody mentioned I could stay on the same aircraft, so they made me go off the plane out the arriving area hall, again through security, which was a hassle, almost forgot my wrist watch..... all that to end up in the same gate to board the same plane. a total waste of time and energy...."

Nadelen: "Travel agency accessed through kayak (kiwi travel) didn’t allow for online check in ahead of time. It also didn’t allow for seat selection ahead of time, so I was stuck with middle seats both ways."

Moreover, she failed to give us copies of our boarding pass for our connecting flight from Lima to Peru. Because of her misleading, out luggage was left in Lima and we landed in Cusco without our luggage. We are still awaiting to see where our luggage is."
Nadelen: "Customer service at check-in desk was incompetent. Service by flight attendants was largely rude and done with a lot of deep sighing by the flight attendants as they performed food and beverage service. They did not make me want to fly this airline every again."

Nadelen: "Lost my bags"

Nadelen: "I needed to change my flight because of a death in the family. To change my flight was more expensive than the initial ticket itself. That is ridiculous. You should not do that to people. There should be a $300 change fee and that's it. At most. The entertainment would be good if I could hear it - but I couldn't. The sound was terrible. Uncomfortable seats. Barely slept. Overal terrible experience. Also turn on the damn entertainment while we are waiting on the tarmac - why wait until we are in the air? Almost every other airline - all the good ones - Emirates, Lufthansa, and other quality airlines - will let you access the in flight entertainment as soon as you sit. But the change cost of the ticket was the most offensive thing. I feel robbed, in a time of tragedy."

I've flown to Europe with various international flight companies and LATAM has equaled such but what put it above others was the personal attention when I had a problem with luggage. In Lima, Peru there was a connection and an attendant named Sebastian went the extra mile contacting luggage handlers with his cell phone to ensure my bag was recovered and waiting at the gate of my connecting flight en route to Buenos Aires. A special thanks goes to Sebastian. Thank you Brother."

Nadelen: "The online and telephone system is the worst. They never are able to confirm your seats or preferent seats . You can not use an american credit card if you are in south america. They give you a confirmation number to pay your flight ticket in "Plaza Vea" (Peru) and when you get there they told me that at only in a few "plaza veas" you can pay your ticket. I had to spend like 100 soles (30 dollars) to pay my upgrade seat. There is more Horrible experience to tell about it . Avoid LATAM"

Voordelen: "Not much since not only were we screened by the airport authorities but also by Latam. I purchased some water after security but had to leave it since they would not allow it on the plane. Had they let us know about this sooner I could have saved money."
Nadelen: "The Latam personnel who searched our bags prior to boarding put on gloves which I though was very good. The bad part was that I saw 2 members of the search party sneeze into the gloves and touch their noses without changing gloves. How disgusting!!! Never Latam again! I would rather pay a few dollars more and not put up with this health violation."

Voordelen: "Dreamliner was great for our 11 hour flight to santiago"

Nadelen: "Computers offline in La Paz resulted in absurdly long wait to check in. In Santiago waited a ridiculous amount of time for buses to take passengers to the terminal."

Voordelen: "Flying on a Boing 787 is wonderful. The overall service from Latam is top quality; the crew was welcoming and very attentive. Food could be improved, specially offering vegetarian alternative for all of the food services. The movie selection could be improved (in variety and vintage). Music selection was very good for my taste."
Nadelen: "I was unable to choose my seats on line in advance, which created a stressful situation when at check-in we found that my wife and I were not seated together. Fortunately for the first leg of the trip (Santiago-Lima) there was an empty seat by her and I took it; and for the second leg (Lima-Los Angeles) the passenger next to her was upgraded on the last minute and left his seat for me. Latam has great service, but must let customers choose their seats or guarantee assigning adjacent seats to passengers traveling together, The process for servicing of the plane during the stop-over in Lima could be improved. I know it is hard to do minor cleaning, tidy-up, and replacement of pillows & blankets while many passengers remain on board, but at least there should be an announcement describing what the passengers are to expect during the stop-over."

Je comprends pas qu'on travaille en aéroport en plus pas nous indiquer ou même le site au-delà de 15 jours voir d'autres pays quand on y va il nous faut un visa c'est inadmissible de perdre 1000 € sans compter qu'ils ont même pas fait un geste pour au moins reprendre un vol ça ne coûte plus cher que si on prenait un voilà par. Je recommande pas la compagnie Vietnam Airlines ce sont des gros voleurs des escrocs"

Nadelen: "When the flight was delayed the people at the desk did not make an announcement about the delay, what was causing it and what we could expect. People waiting had to find out through rumors. There was no good communication. We also were unable to choose our seat and were stuck in the two middle seats when there were free aisle seats still available. My controller for the tv didn't fit back into the holder easily at all and my husband got a blood blister trying to force it back in. Headrest to hold my head didn't stay put to give proper support while trying to sleep."
