Voordelen: "Turkish Airlines offers an experience much better than your average two-hour plane hop in the U.S. There was a full meal served, staff were kind and didn’t try to sell a bunch of extra stuff to you, and there were many choices for in-flight entertainment."
Nadelen: "Unfortunately, the children on the plane were really poorly behaved and loud. In addition, the flight was delayed by 1 full hour and when we arrived in Vienna our luggage (and the luggage of many other passengers) had not been sent with us. We waited in line for luggage for 30 minutes, then another line for at least 30 more minutes to report the missing bag, and we were then told that it wouldn’t arrive for another day and would be delivered to us within a 3 hour window in the middle of the day. This was essentially an entire night and day lost to a mishap that the airline didn’t even notify us of when we landed. Pretty frustrating."

Nadelen: "Some of the crew were very rude, making a point to show you that they were hassled by serving you. I thought that was poor service. The seats weren't all working so while the passenger in front of me reclined, my seat wouldn't making for a very uncomfortable flight. I thought the entire aircraft needed either renovation or retirement altogether. Old TVs and non-functioning seats, all made me kind scared of where I was tbh."

Thats not a good service for a long trip fligt: washington-copenhagen and back. All other Airlines i have been with gives you a choice to choose between 2 different meals, buT SAS they decide for you ! And i have never seen any airline serve pork/ ham because of different believes people have, but SAS service you pork on an international 8 hours flight ! This is first time and last time I’m gonna fly with SAS. I always fly with KLM , perfect in everything and anyway. NO MORE SAS FOR ME !"

Slept in Reykjavik airport on long layover due to dreadful weather. More comfortable than most airports."

Nadelen: "Icelandair's systems went down for two hours during Check-In. Didn't get a boarding pass for my connecting flight. Flight left an hour late. No information as to what was going on and how to deal with missed connecting flights."
Voordelen: "They brilliantly board passengers with window seats first! The seats are roomy and the lighting above the storage bins is a nice touch."

Nadelen: "No aircon, small seats and no snacks/food served on the flight. Also the entertainment offers were meager for moderately expensive tickets. The fun began in REK. We arrived on time but something at the gate was broken so instead of bringing stairs to the plane they kept us on the plane for an additional 45 min sitting at the gate. During the wait we asked the flight attendants multiple times to make sure our planes would be waiting and were told that Iceland air planes will wait. When we finally got off with stairs, most connecting flights, even from Iceland air, had already left and passengers were stuck in REK. We were then re-routed through Copenhagen after pressuring the gate attendants into making sure we would be arriving in Frankfurt the same day since we could not spend a day in REK as other passengers had to do. We spent an entire day in airports and planes finally making Frankfurt (including time changes) at 830pm, 9 hours later than planned. All in all I won't fly Iceland air again."
Nadelen: "We waited 4 hours on tarmac before they decided to cancel the plane. It's ok that planes have issues and unforeseen things happen, but the crew didn't do a good job at showing that they can handle unexpected situations well. There was little to no communication throughout the ordeal. The decision to board the plane then tow it to a place to work on repairs with everybody onboard for 4 hours, when we're sitting on all this jet fuel seems poor."
Voordelen: "clean cabin"
Nadelen: "Tiny seats (average sized male here - trust - they are tiny) All food is charged (not a single piece of free food was offered; $8/sandwich) Lost luggage - I've never dealt with airline personnel (in person & over phone) that displayed such a level of apathy. Compensation ceiling: $99. They apologized about the incident as if they were sorry that it was raining that day - not losing 2 pieces of luggage and not having any means to track them. Check-in personnel: They only gave me a single luggage tag for 3 pieces of luggage - they should have given me 3. Would have made tracing lost luggage easier. Employee @ IAD told me that if I didn't show up at the boarding gate 40 minutes prior to boarding that they would remove my luggage from airplane and that I could risk losing flight (wtf?). Icelandair is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. They may offer rates 20% cheaper than other major carriers, but that discount accompanies a steep price. It's an airline run by inexperienced, lackluster, apathetic staff who, frankly, have no business operating an airline. If your options are flying with a major carrier vs Icelandair - and the price difference is a few hundred $: pay the extra money; you'll be glad you did. Icelandair's prices are not low enough to justify all the discomforts and liabilities which accompany them. Look elsewhere. Keep this in mind: I'm a seasoned flyer. This airlines barely ranks one notch up from Ryanair."

Nadelen: "C’est la première fois que nous prenons Iberia et nous avons été très déçus. Personnel extrêmement désagréable. Première fois que je vois tout un équipage aussi peu professionnel, indélicat et qui ne passe pas en dehors des repas. Le repas a été servi et le débarrassage 5 min après. Pas de nettoyage des toilettes pendant les 12heures de vol. Les hôtesses étaient trop occupées à papoter à l’arrière de l’avion. En tant de covid c’est inadmissible. Je ne recommande pas cette compagnie et ne la prendrais plus jamais !"

Nadelen: "It was extremely frustrating that there was no kiosk available when checking in. I did not have a bag to check, yet I waited on a ridiculously long line to check in for my flight. The people working the desk at the gate were slow and unpleasant. Service on plane was terrible."
Voordelen: "Fine flight once we were in the air."
Nadelen: "There were NO SIGNS saying it was a level flight, not Iberia. No one at Iberia check in desk etc. We eventually figured it out after a while. In general Iberia and level are short staffed and unorganized. If you're willing to deal with this, it's an affordable option and they'll get you from A to B."

Nadelen: "Ticket had no info on baggage allowance. Got charged $55 for one piece. Website has glitches that would not save passport info. Flight attendant did nothing. Did not ask people to have their seats upright during landing. No food or even water for a 7 hour flight unless you pay. Seat uncomfortable. Horrible experience."
Voordelen: "Nothing -- though seat was okay. No leg room, but it reclined a little, and had those foldable headrests."
Nadelen: "The boarding was supposed to be by zone, but was just a mad rush. They served no food, not even for money. There was an onscreen ordering option, but for the entire flight it said "this service is temporarily closed". They didn't have a beverage cart. Not even water or coffee. I couldn't even get a cup of water to swallow some ibuprofen and an allergy pill (somebody brought a companion cat, I suspect, quite near to me). No food or water on an international flight across the Atlantic??? You've got to be kidding me -- that's gotta be close to illegal, not providing any means of hydration. But it's certainly cheap, mean, and unacceptable. Pathetic, too."

Nadelen: "I’ve never had such a bad meal on a plane. I don’t expect fine dining but I felt sick to my stomach afterward. My flight sat in by the tarmac for an hour. I only made my connection because that flight was also an hour late. Boarding was really chaotic."
Voordelen: "I was sitting in primer economy with lots of legroom. It was good service, on- time flight"

Voordelen: "After fixing the mistake they gave us two adjacent seats on the plane."
Nadelen: "I came with a friend. At first we were given 2 boarding passes, both with my name. We continued to security where they found the problem. We had to go back to the check-in counter and they reprinted boarding passes. This time names correct but both for the same seat. Only after a long while they were able to fix it. The Iberia crew barely spoke English. Overall - made mistakes, wasted a lot of our time."

Voordelen: "The Iberia crew person named Ms. TENORIO was excellent. As an American with disabilities, I felt safe, protected and assisted throughout the flight with my various requests and needs. The rest of the crew was also .efficient and pleasant. Finnair&Iberia are tops."
Nadelen: "Logan Airport in Boston, Terminal E was so upsetting. There was NOBODY to help me. I arrived early because I am disabled. There should be somebody there at all times. Very distressing-=- me in a wheel chaiir with 2 suitcases and ZERO assistance. I felt helpless and sad."
Voordelen: "First time flying El Al. Hopefully my last. They delayed the flight to give three people - two of whom were ladies iver the age of fifty - intensive security screens. I was given one as well. They took my laptop, one of my pbones, my tanlet, and my headphones. This would havr neen bearable if El Al invested in its cabins, but that doesnt seem the case. The headphones provided were similar to models from the 90s (and worked just as well), there was no individual screen for entertainment, and the seats were exceedingly cramped. At least the Wi-Fi was free."
