Voordelen: "I took two connecting flights on American Airlines between Los Angeles and Lisbon period on the website American claims to have charging and or electrical ports in every row. There were none on either flight. To make matters worse, when my tablet and phone batteries both died before the end of the first flight, there was no inflight entertainment, other than 1 ridiculous thing available, on either flight. American has switched to BYOD for entertainment, but forgot to provide a way to charge our own devices. Incredibly stupid."
Nadelen: "On top of that, one of the flight attendants on the Philadelphia to Lisbon run was a hella snarky guy with a bad attitude all the way through. I would be surprised if I am the first person to complain about him."

There are several other examples of misinformation in their movie listings. For parents who use the ratings as one piece of information to guide their children, it would be nice to have correct information when making selections. this problem is not new; it's been this way for over a year now. I hoped that over time they would get it right, but alas, it remains inconsistent at best."

Overall unsatisfactory. Same seats but no amenities."

The rest of the flight was fine, but the uncomfortable seats were a huge minus. We'll probably try to avoid 787s from now on. The window-darkening system was annoying. They darkened the windows when it was dark outside and they darkened the cabin, so we couldn't look out the window. It was dark outside--why the need to darken the windows?? My husband requests window seats so he can look out the window."

There was no rep waiting to help upset customers so we had to wait TWO hours in line as there were only 2 girls at the counter when there are 6 counters. They were completely unapologetic and although they set us up on another airline to fly back, the whole experience was completely unsettling. AVIANCA NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!"

Nadelen: "I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."

The flight came in slightly late and passports were re-inspected upon unboarding which wasted a lot of time, and Heathrow is a nightmare of an airport on a good day, which made it very difficult to get where I needed to go."

Nadelen: "There were NO SIGNS saying it was a level flight, not Iberia. No one at Iberia check in desk etc. We eventually figured it out after a while. In general Iberia and level are short staffed and unorganized. If you're willing to deal with this, it's an affordable option and they'll get you from A to B."

The staff member kept saying “up, up” motioning with her hand, but made no offer to assist us in finding overhead space. Upon our return flight, our pre booked exit row seats were switched on us right before boarding in a rude and matter of fact wayand my husband and I were separated one on either side of the aircraft. When we queried this, we were told it would be up to us to switch with the person sitting next to us. Overall very disappointing. I would not fly Iberia again."

Voordelen: "No free food this time. Shorter EU flight and seats not as spacious because of it."
Voordelen: "Entertainment content was good and made the long trip more pleasant. I got a seat in the emergency exit and had lots of space for my legs. Alleys are quite narrow although and the crew was bumping into my arm quite often but overall seating experience was good."
Nadelen: "Boarding was very unorganized. It was difficult to understand the groups that were supposed to board. Overal check in process took too long. I arrived to the airport 3 hours in advance and finally made it to the gate when boarding started. Food can be improved as well. Had the pasta with spinach which consisted in some tortellini with very greasy cheese and way too many peppers. Second meal consisted in a sad croissant with ham and cheese."
Voordelen: "Crew entertainment food."
Nadelen: "2 hours late. Missed connection in Madrid. Waiting 4 hours for next flight."
Voordelen: "At this moment only the entertaiment."
Nadelen: "I would have like them to have been more humane and provided me with enough information so I could go ahead and get me something clean to wear right away. Tonight after I called they still don't have information on my luggage, and overall should have a better management, cause once I give my luggage to them, I expect them to care for it, that is implied on the customer service agreement."
Voordelen: "Almost nothing!!"
Nadelen: "Worst flight I've had ever. Plane was badly maintained. No soap in toilet and faucet did not work. Seats were extremely uncomfortable and absolutely no leg room (I'm not tall, only 5'10") The steward and stewardess talked with each other the entire time very loudly. The entire plane could hear. They laughed and giggled. Several people asked them to stop so people could sleep. It's a job not a date!"
Voordelen: "Air hostess were pleasant. Take off and landing were super smooth. Plane was new and very spacious."
Nadelen: "Boarding process was confusing and disorganized. There were no vegetarian food options available for the dinner."
Nadelen: "There was no complimentary water provided"
Voordelen: "On time, no hassles. The flight went well."
Nadelen: "Didn't have any non meat food available on Good Friday. Apparently, the airline ran out."
Voordelen: "Seats were not as bad/tiny as expected although they would not recline at all. We were served 2 meals on our overseas flight. That was also a surprise."
Nadelen: "Seats did not recline Could not hear boarding instructions."
Voordelen: "I got a connection in Madrid to my destination, but the previous flight was delayed about 30 minutes. I got in the airport about 15 min before the gate closed. The gate that i arrived to my connection flight was around 26 min away. I have a condition on my leg and i cannot run, so i walked really fast through the airport and I was so happy to see that they were waiting for my delayed flight... which is very unusual. Thank you!!!!"

Nadelen: "Boarding on every airplane company seems off. Sitting in seat 6D and I’m in the second to last boarding group. That cheese on the burger pricing for getting on before others is getting old. Be better."

Voordelen: "It got us to our destination."
Nadelen: "Seats sucked. Screaming kids. Wouldn’t let us bring our carry-on for the last leg: Lisbon to Barcelona even though there was room."
Nadelen: "Aircraft left an hour late after rushing us through the terminal. The cabin was freezing, the food was bad. 13 hours was a very long time."
Voordelen: "the crew did really made sure we had what we needed."
Nadelen: "Should have made an announcement that the 3g cellular coverage was turned on. Went on in the middle of the flight and had no idea. My phone was in the overhead bin and I thought it was off. When I landed I had an outrageous fee. Should be given a choice to use it or not."
Nadelen: "Checked bag fee was expensive at $120 per bag. For the two of us bags cost $240. The plane boarded late this departed and arrived late. Otherwise a very good flight. Very comfortable, all Amenities worked, the plane was clean and the staff accommodating."
Nadelen: "Hand luggage weighing queue delayed flight, Gatwick flights delays, missing luggage at Lisbon,"
Nadelen: "Gate location information delayed until last minute!"
Voordelen: "I would def use this airline again."
Nadelen: "The only issue was they’re weren’t any outlets to charge your phone or laptop"
Voordelen: "very pleasant all cruise, and food very delicious"

Nadelen: "Those seats might be ok on a short hop, but a five-hour intercontinental in the middle of the night? Price is cheap, but personally never again."
Nadelen: "No entertainment, either video or audio."

Nadelen: "We had to pay extra for checked baggage which were not aware of earlier. The counter person told us we could have saved if we purchased it earlier online and would have saved us 15 euros per person"
Voordelen: "Plane was good, service on board pretty good."
Nadelen: "Flight was delayed and we were never notified despite receiving multiple emails to ‘upgrade’ our flight. While checking in we attempted to upgrade 3 tickets to first class and were sent to 3 different areas in the airport with our luggage, having to wait in line each time. Didn’t provide vegaterian options on board. Weren’t given a gate ever after landing 5 hours late and were kept on board for half an hour making us miss a 2nd connection we had to rebook after the initial delay. A frustrating experience hat could have been made better with just some communication about what was going on."
Nadelen: "Flight was delayed"
Voordelen: "My husband has a mobility scooter and they handled it better than American Airlines and we flew first class!!!"
Nadelen: "Crew was very sour faced, impolite and rude the whole time. Seats were way too packed"
Nadelen: "Pilots on strike. Faro to Lisbon flighted delayed. Missed connection to London. 6 hour delay in Lisbon."
Voordelen: "Modern airplane"
Nadelen: "1h late. Non reclining seats."
Voordelen: "Staff were pleasant"
Nadelen: "The 2 hour turned 3 hour delay. Lack of organizational during check in. Had to show our documents 4 times within 10 meters."
Voordelen: "They broke my bag, it took them over 3 months to answer my complaint and then they said that the Manufacturer would take care of it. On top of that they made me pay to check on my bag for each flight, including connections, and they didn’t even reimburse that"
Voordelen: "The plan was clean, newer, and comfortable. If you sit towards the front of the plane you end up sitting in economy plus for the economy price."
Nadelen: "No entertainment, but the flight were short enough it wasn't really a problem. With downloadable Netflix and Prime, that isn't a problem anymore."
Voordelen: "Friendly and kind captain and crew"
Nadelen: "I was very very sick, so after the 3 hours delay I asked to stay in Lisbon and be sending next day to continue my journey home ... Surprisingly TAP told me that they could pay the hotel in Newark, but not in Lisbon.. Go figure! Called TAP Customer Service 4 times, 2 from Lisbon 2 from Newark... all cases more than 1 hour wait... AND THEY NEVER EVER ANSWERED!?!?!"
Voordelen: "The crew were kind and considerate."
Nadelen: "This was the worst flight I've ever experienced. There was an incessant, loud high-pitched buzzing noise for the entire duration of the flight (we were seated in the very back row so it was particularly loud for us, but others further up said it was bad for them too). Also, we had straight turbulence for over two hours. I've never gotten sick on a plane before, and my husband never gets motion sickness, but we both threw up (and I think several others did, too). I don't blame the crew for any of this, as I know most, if not all, of it was out of their control. However, I would be very nervous to flight TAP again due to this experience."
Voordelen: "Flight attendants were reponsive. Plane was comfortable enough. Good entertainment options."
Nadelen: "Plane was a little warm. Would have liked more information in English."
Voordelen: "The crew was very attentive and helpful"
Nadelen: "It was hot in the cabin. The lights were turned on and off without an announcement and without much time to sleep."
Voordelen: "We were traveling with a 7 month old so boarding was made easy by the crew. Most of the crew were quite pleasant during the flight."
Nadelen: "The entertainment system hand piece failed so you were unable to select channels, turn the over head light off or ever call for assistance. We had to get another passenger to do that for us. Ultimately the light bulb had to be removed from the fixture. During the flight, we asked for more refreshments and were told we could only have water by a flight attendant. Upon arrival at our destination with a child in hand, our stroller was not unloaded at the gate so we had to carry our child and all that travels with him to the baggage area. For anyone travelling internationally, you will know this is generally quite a distant from the gate in major airports. The strollers and car seats arrived in baggage 30 minutes after the main luggage. When staff were approached they were short and appeared very disinterested in helping. TAP failed on this flight home."
Voordelen: "Honestly I didn't like anything because before I boarded , I was charged for all my luggage . They said that tap changed there policy , how I suppose to know ? Why didn't it say anything while purchasing a ticket"
Nadelen: "I was charged for my 3 luggage . It's not fair . I still have the invoice , before ibbook the ticket it said that you get free luggage ."
Voordelen: "Best all around airline I've been on!!!"
Voordelen: "Check-in and baggage drop was fast. Food was good. Cabin crew did their job. Economy plus seats are comfortable and leg room was ok (I'm 1,84m tall). So, smooth and easy flight."
Nadelen: "We arrived with 20 Minutes delay...and it was just the first shuttle of the day... could have been better"
Voordelen: "Very friendly staff and well organized."

Nadelen: "Some delays at the airport but service is excellent."
Nadelen: "The service was below average, nobody seems to be eager to assist. The food that was offered on the flight was below expectations. The company should work on improving customer care"
Nadelen: "1. Food. I think that sandwich and juice are not enough for 3 hours flight that costs 130 euros. 2. Departure time. The flight was delayed for more than 1 hours. When we arrived at Schiphol it was night already and trains to towns around were super rare. So we came in home at 3 a.m. instead of the planned 1 a.m."
Voordelen: "The trip back home to NY from Lisbon was great, flight staff was attentive and courteous, the plane was clean, the entertainment made the time go by fast and the warm blanket and pillow provided a comfortable experience."
Nadelen: "Unfortunately my girlfriend is a celiac and we forgot to pre-order a gluten free meal, so she had little to no food options for her to eat. The sandwich offered right before landing could be made with gluten free bread or even a corn based tortilla."
Voordelen: "Timeliness of check-in and the flight."
Voordelen: "I asked if it were possible to change my seat at the gate and was promptly given a window seat. They were very pleasant and professional. Food was very good and movie choices excellent. Good customer service."
Nadelen: "Carrying your luggage downstairs is crazy. And then taking a crammed bus to board the plane -- seems very 1960's"
Voordelen: "I was lucky enough to be awarded an upgrade to Business Class on this flight... Relieving the tension of overbooking in economy..I guess my lucky day.."
Voordelen: "On time and the plane may have been the cleanest aircraft I've ever been on."
Nadelen: "Nothing comes to mind. All in all, a very nice travel experience."
Nadelen: "The online check in open for a flight from the us to the europe must be open 24 before, indeed it has been opened only 16 hours before..."
Voordelen: "TAP and the personnel from TAP were fantastic."
Nadelen: "The Dutch/KLM gate agents were horrible. I was treated rudely and unprofessionally."
Voordelen: "Excellent crew and pilot."

Nadelen: "We flew out of Rome. Management at Rome airport told us their emplyee(s) were drunk! Unsafe flight! NEVER USE THIS AIRLINE- YOURE PUTTING YOUR LIFE AT RISK!"
Voordelen: "Easy checking and boarding process"
Voordelen: "The best thing was the attention and kindness of the crew on board: Excellent! Although I do have some complaints, I would say Tap is a quite good airline that should improve some aspects."
Nadelen: "The boarding in Lisbon was not efficient. It took a lot of time to get people on the plane and the land personnel in charge were not nice at all. I would even say very bad humoured! Plus the majority of passengers were kept standing for a very long time before entering the lounge at the gate because even though it was full of empty seats we were not allowed to enter the area. The food was not good and the entertainment system on board needs a refreshment to modernise it."
Nadelen: "I purchased this ticket 4 months prior to flying....traveled half way around the world and the flight was oversold. I was bumped and left with people meeting in another country waiting for no one to show up. Go to hell TAP Portugal Airlines."
Voordelen: "Check in and security were very good."
Nadelen: "Boarding was a bit of a mess - late gate change and bussed to plane. Very cramped. Crew not particularly friendly."
Voordelen: "The flight was on hour quicker than expected, the food wasn't bad and the crew was nice and attentive."
Nadelen: "The seats were small and didn't allow for any space, and the Tvs were small and of bad quality, and you weren't able to pick your own movie, you had to watch what was being shown."
