Nadelen: "Quand on ne laisse que 5 mn pour sortir d un avion pour embarquer dans le suivant qui est à l autre bout de l aéroport .... même un champion du 100 mètres nu arriverait pas! Et voir l avion encore là avec la passerelle passagers et si on nous dit c est fini!!! Difficile à accepter!"

Voordelen: "The hotel was nice although I was unable to sleep due to the delays all around concerning my connecting flight. I am thoroughly upset because I contacted the airlines 3 times in May to express my concern with the 30mins layover. And to no avail. My worst concerns are being played out now. It appears that their isn’t any concern from the airlines about this catastrophe impacting so many people. Shame on you."
Nadelen: "The connecting flight departed before the first flight landed. Then I was given the wrong information of gate departure by airport personnel. After running like crazy to find this gate for departure, the plane had already departed before we even landed. There wasn’t anyone around to help, and finally I found an airport worker who gave me the same incorrect information. She was as perplexed as was I. Finally, she directed me to the information booth where I was booked in a flight the next day. The food voucher was insufficient to cover dinner, i had to pay out of my pocket but I was frugal given the financial situation. The taxi service personnel were rude and it took a long time to taxi me to the hotel where I am unable to sleep because I have an early morning g departure. All in all, between the airport delays getting me to the hotel, lack of proper food and treatment by personnel, I am exhausted and lost sleep in the process."

The following baggages having the bagage tags: LH 093506 and LH 093492 did not arrive at final destination Montreal YUL! Please investigate ASAP and get back to us! I've spent upon arriving at home two hours on the phone and customer service representatives from YUL were totally not helpful in solving the problem!"

Nadelen: "My flight was canceled and I received no communication from Austrian Airlines. There was no staff at ticketing counter. The contact number that O’Hare had was a disconnected Verizon number, which was the same number listed on their website. I had to call the international number where I was told I was rebooked on United with 2 layovers instead of one. I also lost my business class upgrade and was told there was nothing they could do about it."

Nadelen: "We are regularly taking this flight for end of the year snd in summer. For no reasons whatever if it is in France or in Vienna, the flight is delayed of minimum 2 hours! It was the case once more the case. And all without communication as it is normal! And it looks like this is normal as the flight from yesterday was also leaving at 19h05. This is a joke."

Nadelen: "Couldn’t get on the flight due to two cancellations of prior connecting flights. Utterly, totally unacceptable - and no explanation of why."

Nadelen: "Baggage fees and unclear policy during booking with Kayak."

Voordelen: "Boarding was great. As it was a short there was no entertainment. I would have chosen N/A bit that wasn’t an option hence the one star."

Nadelen: "Never been more uncomfortable in a plane seat. I’m six feet tall and my knees hit the back of the seat in front of me. I would not fly this airline again for this reason."

No one responded to me, so I got it myself. Wasn’t a big deal, but I don’t appreciate being soundly ignored"

Nadelen: "Our luggage did not make it in a 2nd flight. We had to fill out many many many oaoers st Odessa airport It took 1,5 hours & our ride to hotel did not wait for us & left. Some other taxi driver gave ya a ride & charged ys $50 rather than $20 that ya the cost of our reserved ride. When we got to our hotel, we had to pay $20 for the transfer to hotel even though he left. Now we have no toothbrush or any change of clothes & hopefully we will get our luggage tomorrow after 2pm"

Nadelen: "Lufthansa’s/Austrian Airlines’s idea of a ‘snack’ is a pathetic little bag of sugar and chemicals that no one should have to be offered, even if it comes for free. Hugely disappointed. Flight attendants not attentive enough."

Voordelen: "We had a very tight connection but there was no problem. With only 30 minutes between arrival and departure our checked bags still made the flight."

Nadelen: "THey denied me and I lost all tickets including back trips as well. Nobody helped me to change tickets, they just care about money and reselling my tickets to other passengers."

Voordelen: "I liked the crew on the flight."
Nadelen: "I was frustrated with the staff at the desk in the airport, as we boarded 20miutes late and they did not feel it necessary to give any comment on the situation. Everyone was puzzled as to why we were not boarding, or if there was a problem. Even the screens did not show any change."

Voordelen: "Staff welcoming and courteous. Flight nice and quiet"

Nadelen: "Chaotic boarding process, no clear communication with passengers, delays in boarding not explained, people sent away or told off, huge attitude and chip on the shoulder. In the U.S., we are customers that paid for a service and are asking for details on that service. In Europe, we are annoyances that depend on staff at the boarding gates to get on the plane, so power tripping and general disdain to customers beings confused are part of the game. I will try never to fly Austrian Airlines again. Absolutely unacceptable behavior toward families, mothers with children, senior citizens. I can almost see the smirks and annoyed and superior attitude of staff at the boarding gate when they had to deal with more passengers asking why boarding hasn't started half an hour ago when we were announced it would. No answers, just show me the passport and boarding pass, ok, please go back, we'll let you know, then ignore questions."

Voordelen: "Checkin 1a at Schiphol had long lines, and no seperate counters for just bag drop. My family and I had to wait for 50 mins, to do a bag drop which in,y lasted 1 min! Flight was delayed, without proper announcements."
Nadelen: "Seat pitch could've been more. At least let us know via Whatsapp that the plane is delayed, or at which belt the bags would come out. This basic info was lacking."

Nadelen: "We had 4 hour delay causing a stop over at 3am. So yeah"

Nadelen: "We were told they were holding our flight, we ran 3 terminals and they’d already left."

Nadelen: "Service was poor and seats were uncomfortable. There were only 4 flight attendants for the entire flight. It took over an hour for our food to be served after we received our drinks. The food was not good at all. The movie options were not the best either. Also, it was so hot during the entire flight especially once we landed and taxied for 30 minutes. I flew SAS to Europe and really enjoyed my flight but this experience makes me never want to fly SAS again!"

Voordelen: "The flight attendants were pleasant. We received pillows and blankets and a bottle of water upon boarding. Dinner and a snack was served. The seats are comfortable."
Nadelen: "The snack was some kind of pickled vegetable strudel. I wish I could have had a choice of something else. I didn't like that for the whole we were only offered one complementary soft drink."

Voordelen: "Quite a contrast between international and domestic flights. SAS had a blanket, pillow, water bottle, and earbuds on each seat. We were served TWO meals including a full dinner. Flight crew was very polite and responsive."

Voordelen: "It was100 % flawless and I recommend the SAS airline to all. The airline staff is great and the food is good."
Nadelen: "As previously stated, I think the airline should do a better job in answering phone calls. If they do answer the phone (1-800-221-2350), they either put you on hold for a whole day or, if you leave your phone no. and name to have them call you back, they never do . I am not the only person who has this experience. It is too bad because if this continues, the airline will loose business and I would hate to see that. However, I still will use KAYAK"

Nadelen: "We couldn't check in online because we had an infant in arms. So we tried to check in there. There were 3 different terrible queues. One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."

Nadelen: "We wanted to check bags and we needed to have our docs checked before we could get a boarding pass for the last leg of the flight. No one was available around the self service kiosks and the line to drop bags or get any service didn't move for 40 minutes. We finally went to the gate. In Copenhagen we had a delay and no one would even talk to us except to say " you are booked in tourist class so I can't help You". They do an excellent job of avoiding any contact with their customers. I fly almost every week for business and have never had this bad of service."

Nadelen: "There was a delay because of a software issue. They had to shift people around manually because of it. Baggage Fee was extremely high (> $50)"

Nadelen: "When purchasing the ticket there was no mentione that bagage was NOT included something which I assume when flying with an All Star airline. Ended up paying an extra 70 € for my luggage - not happy."

Voordelen: "Crew were nice, boarding ok and on time, flight took shorter when planned."
Nadelen: "Premium seats didn't have enough leg room to stretch, they could change the wall into curtains as in Lufthansa."

Nadelen: "The Lufthansa representative in Frankfurt made me check one of my bags, when SAS clearly said I was allowed to have one carry-on and one personal item. This was not a Lufthansa flight, but the rude attendant insisted on enforcing Lufthansa rules on an SAS flight and refused to even allow me to voice an objection. I will not fly Lufthansa ever after this. SAS should have its own representatives who understand customer service at all gates."

Voordelen: "The automated kiosks made it ridiculously easy. Flying out of LAX can be a pain, but that went by so smoothly. I'm cheap and have become accustomed to Spirit airlines. So when I received free (decent) meals a complimentary bottle of water and a plethora of inflight entertainment."

Voordelen: "Passenger"
Nadelen: "Not much talk from captain about local weather and time."

Voordelen: "The lie-flat seats were just great ."
Nadelen: "Storage space should be made available beside the seats , especially during take-off and landing. There is none right now , and that's in Business class."

Nadelen: "Endless waiting and lost luggage. Excuse was unpredicted weather conditions. It was snowing in Finland so they had to clear the Ice from the planes.. Snowing in Finland? How uncommon is that during December? I think most of this is poor ground handling In Helsinki."

Voordelen: "Simple morning flight. Not at all full. Left on time, arrived early. Plane was new. Crew was happy. What more does one need? They were beta testing a new WiFi service. Free, but not yet ready for prime time."

Nadelen: "Unwashed pillow and blankets, stains on the pillow"

Voordelen: "Lots of movie choices."
Nadelen: "Boarding was in a very tight space and I couldn't hear the gate agent on the intercom well."

Voordelen: "Had the head rests that help gold you head when you try to sleep and they didnt speak on the overhead audio so that was awesome"

They will not refund my money at the airport and now I need to go through their home office for a refund. It was bad enough not having any extra leg room on a red eye when you are over 6 feet tall but now I have to jump through hoops to get my money back."

Nadelen: "My meal had rice that was severely undercooked. The audio quality on the entertainment system was very bad and no English subtitles were available for the majority of the movies."

Voordelen: "The flight was on time and everything ran smoothly."
Nadelen: "It was a bit confusing that the tv's came out out the seats, an announcement about that would have been helpful."

Nadelen: "Sitting behind me plus the seat across from that in center was an adult with two children going to summer camp in US. There were 40 kids and several counselors on this flight. These two kids were much younger (4 or 5yrs) than any others going to camp. One of the kids could not sit still. The adult behind me sometimes held her in her lap which resulted in pushing on my seatback. While in her own seat the child did not have her seat belt on. Eventually the girl began using her arm rests on either side of the aisle to swing herself. I finally mentioned this and the lack of seat belt fastening to F.A. who said "They're from Latvia. These Eastern Europeans don't think about things the way you and I do." The child was blocking the aisle at times and the F.A. did nothing."

Nadelen: "See above"

Voordelen: "Excelente timing and organized to take us to the plane"
Nadelen: "No crew speak very good English it was really difficult to understand them"

Voordelen: "Finnair is great when nothing goes wrong..."
Nadelen: "... but a disaster when things go wrong. Too many pilots "sick" on new year day so our HEL-SIN flight was cancelled. We spent three hours at the airport queueing and only getting a hotel. No alternative flight. We spent an hour waiting on line at their call center (no local numbers, only one Finland number) and got rebooked on a super tight HEL-FRA-LHR-SIN connectiob, which we barely made as the connection times were so short. Plus they messed up the checkin so we got denied boarding in Frankfurt and lost our suitcases. Perfect storm... we will NEVER take this airline again. Totally understaffed and I competent. Fly a major airline and pay a little more to avoid things like this..."

Voordelen: "Good flight--and a PERFECT super-smooth landing."

Voordelen: "Comfort?: had a fat neighbor whose elbow was in my robs"

Nadelen: "Seats are uncomfortable. They lean too far back too so that if the person in front of you is reclined all the way, you're quite uncomfortable. I was able to view the TV screen in front of me better than my own because the person in front of me was completely reclined."

Nadelen: "The seats are cramped and the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on. An 8 hour red eye flight made it unbearable. The food is pretty terrible too. This is the last and only trip I'll be flying Finnair."

Nadelen: "No room on flight ran out of wine and food before getting to the back 1/3 of plane where I was sitting I can say one of the worst travel flights I've ever had"

Voordelen: "I LOVED my stewardist. This man was so incredibly kind to me and the service he gave me had me questioning if it's usually appropriate to tip them. I wish I knew this mans name so I could rave about him but I unfortunately didn't catch it."
Nadelen: "Let me start out by saying this was my first transcontinental, longer than 2hour flight...I am extremely upset that I paid the extra money to choose my seat and when booking I chose that I wanted a window seat, well I ended up smack in the middle of the plane with a person on each side of me so I wasn't even able to sleep the entire 7 hour 9p-9am flight. Also when I attempted to check in 24hours prior in order to make sure I got a seat id be happy with it said that it wasn't available for my flight so I couldn't check in and I couldn't chose a seat but regardless I still should've gotten the seat I wanted bc of my preferences at booking. Don't pay the extra to ensure your seat it's a total rip off"

Voordelen: "Comfortable smooth flight, quiet in the large modern BA A380 aircraft"
Nadelen: "Usual boarding with people in rear having to get past people in lower row numbers having been boarded first."

I'm sure the 3 children on board had a great time watching it. 2 bathrooms on a 9-hour flight for the entire coach cabin? One of which was near the front. Can you guess what the plane smelled like by the time we landed? Let's discuss the fact that passengers had to be "shuttled" to the plane because of construction. I paid additional for Group 1 boarding, so great I got to get on the shuttle first. Those that came after me also were the last to board the shuttle and the first to get on the plane. Thanks, American, for showing me again why I use you as a last resort. Had I known it was American and NOT Finnair, as I purchased it, I would have re-thought my purchase."

Voordelen: "Updated gate changes sent to phone was a life saver!"

Voordelen: "Not bad as cross-ocean flights go, but cramped. The seats (and the available room per person) are what would be considered normal nowadays, but I remember flying thirty years ago. The crew was very pleasant and snacks were served (and appreciated), but didn't make up for the cramped conditions."

Voordelen: "The meeting I was attending in NY got postponed so I lost the full 1/2 return ticket. Nothing I could do, all at once all kinds of small text appear in big and over 400 $ was lost. This is the last time I book with Kayak. Better pay a bit more directly with the airline but do not have a deal like the Kayak deal. So please remove from all your sites. Thank you VV"

Voordelen: "Other than the fact that it's a direct flight from jfk to Helsinki, there's not much else to like about it"
Nadelen: "Even though we paid extra for comfort seats, the seats were extremely uncomfortable! Not just the lack of sufficient leg room (especially when the person in front reclined) but most importantly the quality of the cushions. They were like cardboard and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. We were not able to sleep at all due to the discomfort! Additionally, they lost my luggage. It has been more than 24 hrs since I landed and I still haven't heard anything from them as to where my luggage was, when I should expect it why it still hasn't been delivered. Overall, a terrible experience."

Voordelen: "Decent food."
Nadelen: "$100 for your second checked bag and then another $100 if it's overweight. I think this was criminal for an international flight, and I will not fly Finn Air again because of this. Also you have to pay 25 Euro for your seat after already booking the flight. Additionally the leg room is average at best."

Nadelen: "Entertainment system is very old, but have a good selection."

Voordelen: "Nothing"
Nadelen: "I booked this trip thinking it was with a European carrier - I had specifically wanted to avoid an American carrier. I was unable to confirm my flight online and had to ring because at NO POINT was I sent info that it was AA and not Finnair. I was charge almost $60 for this service because I did not have the right references sent with my confirmation email. T he seats were cramped and uncomfortable, I was unable to pick my seat on any flight and despite my request could not change it. Boarding at Chicago was a farce, none of the ground crew seemed to be in charge and we barely started boarding with 20 mins to takeoff. Needless to say the flight left late and we had to wait to take off, and of course had to wait to land in London."

Voordelen: "Seats were comfortable with plenty of room."
Nadelen: "Plane was broken and we had to wait 3 1/2 hours to get a new plane. Crew kept awkwardly mentioning during every announcement that the delay wasn't their fault... My husband's entertainment screen was broken and flickering so much that all shows/films were completely unwatchable. My screen began flickering 1/2way through a film."

Voordelen: "Courtesy of attendants, smooth flight, good service"
Nadelen: "Food and your TV screens are not good. Very hard to operate a touch system which is so insensitive. Movie choice rather poor as well"

Voordelen: "British Airways operated this flight and it was a great experience. The seats were cramped, but almost to be expected for an economy service overseas."
