Nadelen: "terrible space/legroom. Very cramped tray table, couldn't fit laptop on it. Made me check my carry on bag. not even gate check, checked to baggage claim. Yet there was still overhead space once I got on. Lots of . overbooking - should never happen in this day and age. Delta does not deserve its "#1" rating. The rating system seems biased. Probably paid off by delta. Southwest is way better for economy class."

The flight attendant all relocated from the back of aircraft to the front aircraft where it was cooler, I assume. I was worried for my son."

Nadelen: "The boarding process was awful. The gate agent was extremely rude - was shocked she was representing Delta. There was police on board arresting two passengers and crew was not saying anything."

Nadelen: "Boarding and disembarking was again slow. Must be a cultural thing as each flight in the US seems to be like this as people take ages to get their bags organised on arrival. Chaotic boarding is compounded by the back of the plane boarding last.... everywhere else in the world loads everyone together or does the back of the plane first and it's much quicker!"

Voordelen: "Delay. First it was about 20 min, then 30, then 49 and 55. At the end more than 70 minutes delay. Too much, too frequent on delta!!!!"

Voordelen: "1. Smooth flight itself and informed by captain well on expected time of arrival with frequent updates"
Nadelen: "1. I already had a tight connection and let the flight attendant know that I was concerned due to the delay. She seemed very laissez faire and there was no information about the connections gate overhead or when I got off the plane. I think that if the flight is delayed, the airline should let passengers know where the close connection gate assignments are to save them time (my flight landed ten minutes after my connection was boarding). 2. The carry on luggage section was impossibly small so I had to gatecheck my bag and it took five minutes to get my bag back. Given the tight connection, this created additional anxiety."

Die meneer geeft aan: stop uw koffer in automaat. Die accepteert niet. Had die meneer ook gelijk kunnen zeggen. Volgende loket. Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

Voordelen: "Some "perk" for Diamond status on Delta to get to a shorter security line, but customs and immigration was... customs and immigration."
Nadelen: "No available SkyTeam lounge unless you had a business class ticket. As a Diamond flier, I can always access the SkyTeam lounges. Audio for boarding was a little unclear so there was some confusion at boarding. For reasons unknown, my bag was moved from one overhead bin to another. Very frustrating since I board early to avoid this confusion and hassle."

Nadelen: "Although I understand the needed delay, it would have been nice to have been served ice water in the hot cabin, instead of a small cup of tepid water."

Nadelen: "Flight delays cause cascade of irritable passengers. Flight out of Phoenix delayed due to late departure from previous location. We were told mechanical reasons was the cause of the delay. This caused many passengers to miss their connecting flight in Atlanta. When we arrived after midnight, one gate person was attempting to help 50 people with morning connecting flights and room accommodations. The airline knew 3 hours prior that they would have tired, hungry, frustrated passengers. To then have to wait more than an hour in a line to get a bed and or a meal was too much for most people. There were other smaller examples of how Delta's staff or procedures were not customer centric. I will avoid Delta for travel in the future, and I am getting out of their stock."

Nadelen: "They checked my bag at the gate - despite me traveling all over the world NEVER having to check it - and would not take no for an answer, despite me having a 25 minute connection due to their one hour delay. Once boarded there was an incredible amount of empty overhead bins! Bag didn't make it"

Sucks for LH, but I had to one sitting next to me on the 8-hour flight! no crying babies, no snoring. yiey!"
Nadelen: "Maybe US is ahead, but my experience with 2 terminals at Hanover and Frankfurt was that information exchange isn't good. Gate number was available at the last hour or so, which then got changed. Not just this flight. many flocks of people were running around to find their new gate... also as I mentioned climbing several stories of stairs with carry-on isn't fun! Not on this flight, but on my initial departure from US to FRA, monitors said go to Gate B. I got in line for Gate B as there was some security check, then we were told there was another B?!@ We had to go down and take the bus for that...written.. No where!"

Nadelen: "We were a little late with boarding. I prefer Lufthansa for travel, but I can think of a ton more, easy to serve, more healthy and delicious menu items. The food smells good, usually, but it isn't that great. The chicken I had was fine, but the side dish (sweet potatoes) wasn't good. The salad had too much radicchio, the soft cheese was too rubbery to cut (spilled my water doing so), the cake wasn't up to German reputation. Also, one flight attendant, got her own suitcase down, at least 5 times, stretching directly above me, with her jacket in my face and never apologizing. My seat wouldn't recline, nor could other peoples. This is why I paid to choose my seat, so I could sleep, more easily but I sat upright the whole time."

Voordelen: "The crew did a great job. The flight turned out to be nearly 10 hours since we had 150 knot headwinds. The food and free wine made things much to tolerable. You can't go wrong with Lufthansa."

Nadelen: "This flight was the second leg on my trip from New York to Munich. Many people on the flight from NY to Brussels were scheduled on this flight and that plane landed in time that this flight would only need to be delayed 10 minutes to allow for us to connect. However, they decided to leave all of us with a long unexpected layover in Brussels, costing many of us a day of what was supposed to be a short vacation for most."

Nadelen: "We booked these flights expecting Lufthansa. Little disappointed to learn they were Brussels airlines. Inflight entertainment options and meal options don't seem to be as good. Flight crew was pleasant and fine. After learning it was Brussels airlines I went through their check-in process for families and requested kid-friendly meals, but nothing came of it. Slightly disappointed."

What seemed like a great deal – $475 USD for an off-peak round trip, LAX-LON-LAX, booked two months in advance – was not much cheaper, once I paid seat assignments and, new one on me, +$100 to check one non-cabin-sized bag each way."
Nadelen: "Please, don't bait and switch British Airways for American Airlines. I chose to fly BA for a reason, but outbound was AA. I know it's a tough job, tending to 300+ passengers on any trans-Atlantic flight, but AA comfort and courtesy were lacking. It was a different story flying home on my BA 747."

Nadelen: "AA let me know that our flights were delayed to MIA, which would in effect, make up miss out connection to get to Kingston, Jamaica. They tried to rebook us, but for the NEXT day. So after calling, I got my ticket rebooked for an earlier flight, but I couldn’t do the same for my boyfriend’s. At the airport we requested he check in as standby, however, the rep checking us in said he couldn’t. We asked for other flights arriving on the same day at the original ticket & even looking across partner airlines, he said there was nothing. Hard to believe, but then eventually said he found something by way of Lax to AZ to MIA & then KIN that would arrive later that night. We quickly took it because it was getting late to check in for TSA for my flight, only to find out later that the ticket he printed was for arrival the next night - not at all what we agreed upon! What a waste of time, as if the money we spent on this vacation didn’t mean anything, and when I called to get compensated, I was told to write in to AA. Write in. It’s 2018. Who can I speak with to get compensated for our time & money being wasted? I understand it may not have been within AA control, however, I would have liked for them to have cared that we were inconvenienced as paying customers, instead of being told, in action & in words, that the inconvenience we were being put through (to no fault of our own) was no big deal & we should just suck up the money we are loosing as a result. Very disappointed ☹️"

Voordelen: "There is not much to like when you over charge for seats and have staff who don’t accomodate for family to sit together or someone with a disability who needs to use the restroom often to sit on an aisle seat."

Nadelen: "The drink cart skipped me! I was definitely awake too. When I got his attention I finally got my drink but I didn’t get a napkin or pretzels offered either. WiFi was iffy and never loaded for me."

Voordelen: "Everything went very smoothly and the entertainment was quite good. New movies, international films, and games kept me happy from boarding to landing."

Nadelen: "The fact that your company doesn't want to give me some sort of compensation for being delayed and missing my connecting flight and having to get a hotel."

Voordelen: "We were seated in economy but we had a pretty good flight. The only rough part was the fact that it was 10 hours of sitting, and that was due to the destination not AA's service. As someone who is used to United and Delta for flying, I felt that the service offered kinda rocked."

Nadelen: "Delayed departure; plane too hot to board on time after it arrived; delayed at Akron"

Nadelen: "It really wasn't "On-Time", but you couldn't tell that from the monitors. (I'm sure you like to keep your statistics "clean", but they shouldn't be dishonest.) A TSA? agent had us initially wait in a long incorrect line after we picked up our passport scanner sheets even though we told her we had a tight connection. Afterwards, she moved us along with a few others. That line could have swamped us!"

Voordelen: "There was nothing that I liked."
Nadelen: "One half hour before boarding we learned there was a delay. Obviously, American Airlines knew way before this time of the delay. At 6:00 p.m we were told they were bringing another plane from the hanger. The plane showed up around 9:00 p.m ... must be a long trip from the hanger. Then we were told they are waiting on a rear flight crew from another flight. After getting the rear flight crew, we were told that the front flight crew "timed out" and they had to look for other pilots. Needles to say after arriving at West Palm Beach at 1:00 in the morning...about four hours late the passengers were all devastated. American could have orchestrated this so much better"

Voordelen: "Half full so plenty of room to stretch."
Nadelen: "The plane was old. Seats seemed quite worn and didn't have the amenities (tv screens) like newer planes."

Voordelen: "Economy seats were comfy Free movies"

Nadelen: "My screen didn't work and the flashing ads gave me a headache"

Voordelen: "This is a old 767 I was on. No individual TV's. The reading lights never worked. I chanced it on buying the wifi for $19 dollars which turned out to be super fast and I was able to stream movies. Meal and drinks and beer were included. But no way to charge your phone with out a car charger. This plane had no AC ports."
Nadelen: "I liked the food was included and beer."

Nadelen: "When the flight was on time, we learned it was overbooked. Agents stated that if people would not willingly accept their offer to fly at a later time random people would be denied boarding. This was a stressful element as there was no other flight that could make me arrive on time. Plus, threatening to deny boarding to paying customers for airline related overbooking does not seem like a fair or good business practice. Then there were mechanical issue with the plane. After waiting over an hour for repairs they realized they needed a new air craft. This further delayed the flight. Not only was the flight extremely delayed at this pint but throughout the waiting time we were given very little information and were constantly told they couldn't give us an approximate time of departure. This was extremely rude and makes the experience of dealing with a delay even worse. I would suggest giving us more information about what is happening. Saying we don't know when the flight will leave is just unacceptable. To make matters even worse after we were finally boarded we had to wait an additional 40 minutes sitting inside the plane while they boarded refreshments! I know there are delays in flights but this same thing happened to my flight on my way to Paris and it caused me to miss my international connection and had to be re-routed."

Nadelen: "Flying old dilapidated 767-300 on 10.5 hour overseas flight is not a good idea Crappy seats, no in-seat entertainment, non-working overhead lights on the first flight... AA in it's usual glory. Mediocre company at best."

Voordelen: "I like that their fleet has become slightly more modernized. Leathers seats are a plus"
Nadelen: "In flight entertainment and charging stations are a must. Slightly lacking in both those. Their flagship dreamliners have all these amenities but are new planes. Boarding on American seems like a broken process."

Nadelen: "Fat ads sitting next to me should have purchased 2 seats"

Voordelen: "Almost always on time, captain keeps us updated, friendly airline staff"
Nadelen: "Nothing"

Voordelen: "Good customer service but to be expected"
Nadelen: "Horrible bin space Sitting arrangement southwest has better system including free baggage"

Nadelen: "C’est la première fois que nous prenons Iberia et nous avons été très déçus. Personnel extrêmement désagréable. Première fois que je vois tout un équipage aussi peu professionnel, indélicat et qui ne passe pas en dehors des repas. Le repas a été servi et le débarrassage 5 min après. Pas de nettoyage des toilettes pendant les 12heures de vol. Les hôtesses étaient trop occupées à papoter à l’arrière de l’avion. En tant de covid c’est inadmissible. Je ne recommande pas cette compagnie et ne la prendrais plus jamais !"

Voordelen: "The price was right!"
Nadelen: "I know the saying “you get what you pay for”, but good service from the flight attendants should be expected in the price. It was hard to get a greeting or a smile from them, far from prompt delivery of food or coffee ordered. We were traveling with two kids under 5, but there was no help offered. You are expected to pay for any and all food or drinks, including water. The airline could at least offer free water. The meal quality was mediocre for the price paid, and their stock ran out pretty fast."

Nadelen: "The seats are old and uncomfortable. No leg room. Felt very cramped the entire flight."

Nadelen: "When I bought the ticket, checked bags were included in the price. When I got to the counter, they said no and I paid $80, which was more than the flight for two cost. When I tried to use my frequent flyer account to pay for the bags, they said I couldn’t, although I had over $200 in credit. Very bad service! Very bad!"

Nadelen: "Awful awful baggage collection in Madrid - longer than. One hour"

Voordelen: "Crew was friendly."
Nadelen: "Couldn't find out online which gate my flight was leaving from. Long bus ride from jetway to plane. No in-flight entertainment, uncomfortable seats."

Nadelen: "Infotainment system"

Nadelen: "Boarding procedures are a disaster. The plane arrived early however there was not a gate available for 45-60 minutes. Removal of the bags for customs inspection also took over 45 minutes. We then missed our connecting flight Out luggage made the plane but we didn’t!"

Voordelen: "Loved the retrofitting work done on the 777-200 for atmosphere and head room. The flight crew were among the most accommodating I’ve experienced."
Nadelen: "Hanging flown on several wide bodied aircraft, it’s been my experience that the A330 has a much better coach experience than the 777 aircraft models. For me, it’s a matter of legroom. Fortunately, I didn’t have anyone next to me on the flight and was able to spread out a bit (I’m 6’5”!!) My only other complaint was that while this was booked as an Iberia flight, the flights were all serviced by American Airlines. Check-in, seat selection were all handled by American. It was a little confusing in the online check-in process, because for months, the AA app wouldn’t recognize anything but the return legs of the trip using the record locator provided by Expedia."

Nadelen: "The boarding was supposed to be by zone, but was just a mad rush. They served no food, not even for money. There was an onscreen ordering option, but for the entire flight it said "this service is temporarily closed". They didn't have a beverage cart. Not even water or coffee. I couldn't even get a cup of water to swallow some ibuprofen and an allergy pill (somebody brought a companion cat, I suspect, quite near to me). No food or water on an international flight across the Atlantic??? You've got to be kidding me -- that's gotta be close to illegal, not providing any means of hydration. But it's certainly cheap, mean, and unacceptable. Pathetic, too."

Voordelen: "Boarding process was easy and we made great time all the way from LAX to Madrid (I only had carry-on luggage so I can’t speak for their check-in process). Loved having a non-stop flight. Crew was attentive and professional. Great new movie selection. The one bathroom I went into was probably the largest airplane bathroom I’ve ever been in!"
Nadelen: "However, I would have taken a smaller lavatory if it meant larger/comfier seats! I was pretty uncomfortable the whole flight. The leg room was alright for me being 5’6” but I’m not sure how anyone much taller would fare. The seats themselves were similar to a budget domestic airline. Fine when you’re only going a few hours, but on a transatlantic flight it really started to get to my back :("

Voordelen: "Finally arriving in Spain."
Nadelen: "The seats are extremely small cramped and I had to sit with my legs in the aisle. The flight attendants didn’t care about seat assignments so they put people wherever they wanted, causing issues when those people were in others seats. No in flight entertainment (zero stars). No complimentary snacks; had to pay for everything. Decent selection of food. The entry attendants were inconsistent with hand luggage size and took my correctly size soft bag to check but allowed larger hard luggage on the plane."

Voordelen: "Wine and ham in Spain."
Nadelen: "I went jfk to mallorca through Madrid. Upon arrival to Madrid the passport control was 2hrs so we and a lot of other people missed connections. At the Iberia counter we were put on the next flight out to mallorca, that seemed to be no problem (FYI bags will be late and you may too since iBeria ‘must’ keep thee on time global record) , other than our bags came a day later. UPON arriving 20 days later for our return trip they said our return trip was cancelled because of a ‘no show’ on our original inbound trip. They said they had no proof we were on the next flight and asked for our Receipts to prove it. Said we had to buy new tickets, after 2 hrs, crying, yelling and most of Iberia telling us there was nothing they could do (told us to call BA since they were the co share for them) we finally got a high enough supervisor and they put us on the return flights. I’m sure we would have had to buy new tix if the flights were full. Have been overseas many times and this never happened. Will not use a 3rd party online ticket agency again- will go direct to airline, and not Iberia."

Nadelen: "Absurd weinig beenruimte. Alleen geschikt voor mensen kleiner dan 1.50m. Je kunt het best de hele vlucht op het toilet gaan zitten. Dit was één keer, maar nooooit weer!!! Sterk af te raden!!"

Nadelen: "Belachelijk weinig beenruimte, waardoor ik niet eens recht in m’n stoel kon zitten!"

Nadelen: "One of the cabin crew had a attitude problem, very much a bull in china shop. Very disappointed. She threw a pillow someone had dropped at the seat between my partner and I. Kept on bargain past me and kept on knocking my arm while I was seated"

Voordelen: "Food, Entertainment was state of the art for airlines that is, wine and beer available as choices"
Nadelen: "No so friendly staff but OK, I've noticed other major airlines trying a little harder. but it was OK. It was difficult changing seat assignments and checking in online,"

Voordelen: "Personnel de bord excellent, cabine très agréable pour un vol au même prix que Ryanair ! Merci à Iberia d'être sur cette ligne. Vol excellent."

Nadelen: "Few minutes late. Which caused us to miss our main flight. Still have no luggage. Why would flight like that be scheduled so close together. Impossible to accomplish after going thru customs."

I am allergic to milk (common allergy), you put milk products everywhere. Vegan is the only option, sadly it is usually some sort of Asian food and I am not Asian, have a gag reflex when I smell Indian food. This was not Air India flight, but smelled like one!!! Will avoid flying with United. Somehow, although I booked on purpose with Brussels Air, without my consent (!!!) I was sold tickets for United operated flight. Please, don't tell me that customers are your #1 priority, because they are NOT!"

Nadelen: "The plane was very old. No outlet to plug electronics. Small screens for video"

Nadelen: "none of the flight attendants seemed to be friendly- literally all of them were neutral or slightly rude at best. Not impressed."

Nadelen: "My legs are short and the seat seemed a little higher than other plans. I couldn't rest my feet flat on the floor for 6 1/2 hours. This was very uncomfortable."

Voordelen: "Beyond one or two friendly crew members, not much."
Nadelen: "We booked our flights round trip on united.com, but when we arrived at the airport for our return flight from Budapest to D.C., we were told we were on standby and might not be given seats (despite paying full price for the fare months ago). Brussels Airlines, the codeshare partner, blamed United. United blamed Brussels airlines. We are the flight, but my wife and I were seated separately. When I noticed several seats empty after the plane had finished boarding and asked the head flight attendant if my wife and I might not together, she refused, saying they weren't going to give us a free upgrade. When we went to drop off our bags for the next leg of the flight, from Brussels to Dulles, the bag check counters we're severely understaffed and we waited almost an hour just to drop off two suitcases. This made us nearly miss our flight and required us to sprint through the airport and beg to cut the security line. After boarding, my entertainment screen stopped working, though they did manage to fix it a couple of hours into the flight. Needless to say, this was less then a stellar experience."

Voordelen: "The flight was smooth. Boarding was a bit nerve wracking as a neighboring bin was not closed completely until just before take off."
Nadelen: "The bathrooms were poorly maintained. There was no toilet paper and there was tons of paper on the floor. I was anxious that a piece of TP was going to be stuck to my shoes when I returned to my seat. The flight crew did clean it up. I'm not a frequent flier, but was taken by surprise that I didn't need to check in before getting to the airport. I was amazed that the airlines take it upon themselves to assign seats. I think that's a poor decision as a mom and her 2 small kids were scattered about the plane. Fortunately, people were willing to shuffle around to allow the mom to sit with her kids."

Nadelen: "food"

Voordelen: "Crew. Entertainment. Food. Leg room was a bit longer than usual."
Nadelen: "I was unable to pre-order a kosher meal through the web site. Customer service could barely write in legible English and in essence told me to take a hike. Flight was bumpy both ways for quite a while. What's the point of giving me a boarding pass in Tel Aviv if I need to go to the United transfer counter in Brussels and go through the process again, including a TSA (friendly) interrogation?"

Voordelen: "Friendly crew, decent food, good entertainment options to make the flight feel shorter."

Nadelen: "United Airlines portion of the flight from Brussels to IAD. My wife and I were seated in separate parts of the plane each in middle seats at the end of the boarding process when there was no longer any overhead room to store our belongings. Uncaring, unaccommodating crew, waiting area with not enough seats, and cramped seating on the plane with no possibility of sleep during an arduous seven hour flight."

Voordelen: "Excellent service and a safe flight."

Voordelen: "Smooth and seamless travel, great seats and punctual departure and arrival."

Nadelen: "Even though I have an account with United, and confirmed that I was a vegetarian both online, and on the flight heading to Europe, my meal wasn't entered. It worked out really well because I was sitting close to the front and they had pasta dishes available, but this is not the first time that United and its partners have "lost" or "mishandled" my vegetarian registration. The flight attendant even remarked that sadly, she hears this 'complaint' constantly. The food was good, but there's no reason that my meal request can't stay in the system."

Voordelen: "Professional, courteous flight crew. Uneventful flight. When flying at 37000 feet over an ocean, uneventful is a very good thing! :) Deboarding on arrival was quick and efficient."
Nadelen: "My headphone jack in the seat was broken but they offered to relocate me to a seat that worked. I stayed put and used the United app on my phone."

Nadelen: "I would expect when I book a Luftansa flight to fly in a Luftansa jet. This flight was carried by United and I did not know that until I arrived at the airport."

Nadelen: "I chose Luthansa because I was traveling with a bike and they are usually good about not overcharging however after booking the flight, United took over the flight and they have very unfriendly bike policies (200 each way). Usually I will not fly United because of these policies, I think I am done flying any Star Alliance companies."

Voordelen: "Flight was as expected. Nothing outstanding, except for the low cabin temperature."
Nadelen: "It was very cold on the plane and the crew was able or willing to do anything about it. All else was good."
