I never flew with SAS before and got to fly all the way from the US and I loved it !!
The staff between IAD and Copenhagen was not friendly
Kayak offered terrible service, and was unwilling to come up with better alternatives to fix their mistake. Don't choose KAYAK, if the airline cancels the flight, KAYAK only makes effort to avoid any accountability.
Voordelen: "The Crew was great. Friendly and attentive."
Nadelen: "Very small seat. Had a big person next to me and was quite uncomfortable"
Voordelen: "First time on SAS in many years. Service was lower than average. Will fly with other carriers on my next Euro trip."
Nadelen: "Flight left Boston 1.5 hours late. I barely made my connecting flight but my checked bag did not. SAS outsources to GBS to handle missing bags. They promised 24 hours to deiiver to my hotel, but took 3 days. No one answers their phone. Terrible experience."

Nadelen: "Its simple. Turns out i had to pay 360 dollars for my baggages which was hever specified in the time i was purchasing tickets cause they said im flying without and i can come back with. Who is flying without baggage intercontinental for 1 month? And 3 baggages didnt arrived. Thanks"
Nadelen: "Uncomfortable seats."
Voordelen: "SAS generally has better planes and more space than most airlines especially in economy class. Seats were comfortable, not too tight. Food was good. Most SAS planes are really nice and new. On this flight they had a problem and had to use one of their older planes. It was still pretty nice, but the entertainment system on the older plane was a little dated."
Nadelen: "Used backup plane. It had an older entertainment system."

Nadelen: "Check in took a long time at Stockholm. Waiting area to board was very small and crowded."
Voordelen: "We mentioned it was our anniversary and thought about moving up to SAS Plus, but the cost was not an option to us. She moved us up before we got on the plane! Extremely nice!!"
Voordelen: "This airline is punctual and the pilots are good."
Nadelen: "The service is minimal, you pay for any alcohol and the food is nothing to write home about."

Nadelen: "Hottest I have ever been in a plane (we were in 40G and H) and I “run cold”. We were sweating and drinking water like crazy (they gave us one bottle and did not routinely walk the aisles handing out more). Luckily we brought our own water. Early June and headed to Scandinavia, not someplace hot. Seats were hard and I put my unused blankets under me."
Nadelen: "Poor customer service. No notification via text or email that there was a 5 hour delay, and no immediate rerouting for connecting flights. a 15 hour trip turned into 24+. Worst SAS experience ever."
Nadelen: "Internet page for buying excess baggage was difficult to understand."

Nadelen: "We didn't have a flight. Our flight was canceled at the airport. We were told 10-15 minutes after our boarding time that there would be a delay, but we should check back in 45 minutes. So, we never made it to Stockholm to take that flight back home."
Voordelen: "Cheap, more than basic, and comfortable. No major complains."
Nadelen: "The o my thing that could be improved is a lrger selection of movies, and better food. Food is acerage compared to everything else."
Voordelen: "Great takeoff and landing.Care ethics of the stuff was excellent. The quality of the food was very good and it was served with care."

Nadelen: "Planes are old. No conveniences at all - none. Charged for one piece of luggage (my only piece) at the gate. Security process extremely slow. 1.5 hours early to airport and I made it on board by 9 mins. There plane sat for 20 mins on runway before departing."

Nadelen: "We were being charged for bottled water and soda"
Nadelen: "1) on the plane, they announced a choice of two meals and I enquired why did I get one without choice and they told me the second choice was an option only for 'economy plus' !! That was a rude situation....I felt cheated and then insulted . 2) CPH - Nice : The breakfast or the included orange drink gave me an upset stomach and bad case of Hemorroides. 3) I accepted a glass of tomatoe juice and when I asked for a coke with my lunch , the stewardess said I had only right to one drink and would have to pay the rest....really ? - wine used to be free and now a glass costs $4...really ?? 4) I arrived at CPH airport for my transfer .. the flight was yet not on the screen but no one gave any instruction and no officials of any kind were around to enquire....a cleaning crew finally directed me correctly. 5) the security line in New York to board was ridiculously long...someone shouted to take off our smelly shoes...really ?? 6) most were directed to the right with four snaking unending lines to one security check . From time to time others were directly directed ed to the left where there was no line and option of two security checks. Half way through my wait , most were directed to the left and all who were 'late', were let out first to their gate. The whole experience before, on the plane and after was not worth the money...least of all a pleasant one."
Voordelen: "Best food on an airplane I have ever had. Great service from the cabin crew."
Nadelen: "Cabin extremely dated. Lie flat seats not flat. No built in entertainment but rather iPads handed out by cabin crew."
Voordelen: "Crew were nice, boarding ok and on time, flight took shorter when planned."
Nadelen: "Premium seats didn't have enough leg room to stretch, they could change the wall into curtains as in Lufthansa."
Voordelen: "The leg room. The great service and attitude."
Nadelen: "The food... needs to be improved, even if it means charging a fee."
Voordelen: "The standout moment for me was how the crew treated my son who realized, as the door was closing, that he had forgotten his bag with all his schoolbooks. They were very kind and responsive and helped him find the bag with no fuss and without making him feel bad."
Nadelen: "A very dishonest experience. The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. I am very disappointed to be 'tricked' in this way and consider it a very dishonest business practice."
Voordelen: "The cleanliness"
Nadelen: "I Had checked several times to make sure I had 2 bags included ( standard for US-EU flights) and every time. At the airport I had to pay an extra charge for my second bag which made the flight very expensive and just ruined the whole experience for me"

Nadelen: "Delays on boarding (on departing as well as returning home) Damaged luggage"
Nadelen: "SAS has one of the worst boarding procedures and not enforcing it. Flight was delayed an I almost lost my connection in CPH. and it has the narrowest legroom of all Star alliance flights. my flight from stockholm was delayed and there was a massive queue at border control and no SAS or CPH airport staff to organise to get PAX through faster so they dont miss their connection I had to fight my way through the queue otherwise I would have lost my connection"
Nadelen: "So many delays and lost luggage. The craziest was leaving Manchester. I was supposed to have 30 minutes after leaving security at Manchester and would have done if they hadn't decided to board early. That's ok but then we sat on the plane waiting which resulted in leaving later than the original time of departure and therefore a large run for my connection at Copenhagen. Was badly organized clearly."
Nadelen: "Consistently fails go have functioning wifi onboard in spite of marketing to the effect that it is there and free."
Voordelen: "Crew exceptionally carefull and nice, boarding was quick and well managed. Landing was earlier than planned so as to leave enough time to go to the next gate"
Nadelen: "Food was just okay, some beverages had to paid like in low cost flights"

Nadelen: "Flew in a leased 767, 5+ hour flight. Seats had not been adjusted for US adults - very tight squeeze, both side to side and front to back, extremely uncomfortable. No in-flight entertainment (screens blank the whole trip), and minimal service - not even coffee. Terrible!!"
Nadelen: "food and I could not check in at the Kiosk. It said I didn't have a flight and I had to wait nervously for 3 hours for an agent to come to the desk. Then I was able to check in easily."

Nadelen: "The seats are narrow whereby you are overlapping shoulders with the next person. Good leg room for short people. Food/beverage service is limited for a transatlantic flight. Outside of coffee, tea, and water, all beverages are at a cost and there is no snack (i.e., pretzels, nuts)."
Voordelen: "Great service, but late departure, missed flight in Reykjavik, 8 hours late arrival in Zurich"

Nadelen: "The plane was late leaving Boston and again leaving Iceland. The seats were very uncomfortable on the first leg of the trip, and marginally better in the second leg."
Voordelen: "The flight attendants were kind and this was another smooth flight!"
Nadelen: "We had several opportunities for water and a beverage, but there were no snacks."
Nadelen: "I didn't like being charged 95 dollars for my checked luggage with no prior knowledge that that was going to be the case. The website said one free checked piece, but apparently that didn't apply."
Voordelen: "Getting off the flights! What a terrible experience. We will never fly or recommend this airline again"
Nadelen: "We will not fly Icelandic Air again. The baggage fees were incredible - $95 per bag to go from Boston and $110 per bag to fly home. That is over $400 in bag fees. This with practically no service, no snacks - we did get water and soft drinks and a ground crew in Iceland that does not communicate about boarding. There was no system to get people on the plane and no communication You expect a baggage fee but it should be well communicated. We looked up the fee online and saw an economy bag listed. What they do not list is that there are different economy baggage fees. The lower price you pay the higher the fee. Again I don't mind a fee - I just should be able to find that fee before I commit. Very deceptive advertising. I could have booked a flight with an airline for the same price and gotten better service, a few snack and airline miles."

Nadelen: "La barrière de départ n’a pas été indiquée sur les écrans électroniques, et comme nous nous étions enregistrés en ligne et que nous attendions au salon où les vols ne sont pas annoncés, nous sommes arrivés tard à l’embarquement et avons presque manqué notre vol. À bord, le personnel a fait le nécessaire mais pas plus, service peu chaleureux et minimaliste. Le débarquement s’est fait avec une navette, comme à Mirabel dans le temps, et comme il n’y avait qu’une seule navette à la porte arrière, le processus a êté laborieux."
Voordelen: "Everything but having to pay $69 for a checked bag was fine."
Nadelen: "Had to pay $69 to check one bag even though economy class is entitled to one free bag. We specifically brought a checked bag expecting it was free. Otherwise we would have only done carry on."
Voordelen: "Love it. Customer service was awesome. Seat quite comfortable. I hade problems with the first entertainment tablet they gave me, but the second worked well. The only reason I mention this is because I don’t think I was the only one who had a problem. I have every intention to fly with Icelandic air again!"
Nadelen: "Gate area was somewhat chaotic during the boarding process."
Voordelen: "The seats were comfortable and spacious enough. Also, the entertainment system was really responsive, which is a little thing, but makes it feel nicer and modern. It also had good selection."
Nadelen: "Being a rescheduled flight after a big storm, security seemed overwhelmed with the number of people. We arrive about two hours before scheduled departure and they were making last call by the time we got there. Not sure what can be done about this, but it was annoying. Maybe the airline could have requested that security open earlier."
Voordelen: "They provided a pillow and blanket which was very nice, and the crew were helpful in finding space for items during take-off and landing. The boarding and exiting were fairly quick."
Nadelen: "Everything on board costs extra, including basic drinks and snacks, but that's to be expected on cheaper flights. I assumed that the inflight movies cost money as well, although I didn't watch any because I didn't have headphones."
Voordelen: "No food or snacks are given on flights even if they are overnight. Everything must be bought other than water and coffee/ tea. Other than that the crew and flight were nice."
Voordelen: "They were very good about keeping the lights down as much as possible on this red eye flight. Announcements were also kept to a minimum. The re were comfy blankets, pillows, and water waiting for us on every seat."
Nadelen: "The seats are not that comfortable - seems they skimped on padding, plus my seat wouldn’t stay reclined and my husbands wouldn’t recline at all. The space under the seats in front of us was very restricted: there is only space for a bag or for feet, not both."

Voordelen: "I really liked the fun facts about Iceland on seat heads, and the seats were quite comfy as well. Everyone was really friendly. As far as being trapped in a tiny space too high up in the air can be, it was quite enjoyable."

Voordelen: "Finally, an airline the figured out boarding by allowing those in window seats on board first, then middle seats, then aisle seats. So smart, smooth, and non-stressful! comfortable seats, hospitality was great, water so good, entertainment great. Wish the documentaries on iceland were better, they just seemed like advertisements for shops around iceland."

Voordelen: "The price was right. Lots of entertainment options. Amenity kit was nice. Staff/crew very pleasant."

Voordelen: "They brilliantly board passengers with window seats first! The seats are roomy and the lighting above the storage bins is a nice touch."
Nadelen: "Too bad that there is no food included in the flights. We bought sandwiches, and they were worth it though :)"
Voordelen: "Planes were clean and very comfortable. Entertainment was great. Crew was professional and well informed."
Nadelen: "It was extremely disappointing that absolutely no food of any kind was offered on the 5 1/2 hour flight from Boston to Reykjavik. No pretzels, no bag of nuts, no cookies, NOTHING. The only thing handed out on the 5 1/2 hour flight was a bottle of water at the start. There wasn't even a choice of beverages. I would very much have appreciated knowing that beforehand, so that I could pick something up at the airport to tide me over. Needless to say, there was only water offered on the flight from Reykjavik to Hamburg. I cannot overemphasize-- Icelandair should at least clearly inform passengers in advance of their overseas flights that there will be no food service."

Voordelen: "The crew was as amazing as they were 9 years ago when I flew Aer Lingus. The plane was very clean and comfortable. The entertainment that we could choose from very good. Something for everyone was provided."
Nadelen: "One thing that I would like to see improved is for the announcements to be spoken slower than they were. The announcements were so quick that I could not understand what was being said. This should be an easy fix so I have no worries ."
Nadelen: "Overall pleasant More pleasant than with some other carriers recently"
Nadelen: "Had to cancel trip due to avalanche risk and snowed out resort. In order to claim insurance CSA travel protection I need a copy of flight fare rules. But JustFly will not send me a copy of those rules. Some crazy policy that requires I pay $150 cancellation fee in order to get those. If I own the ticket don't I have a right to know what the rules are? CSA and JustFly have created a catch 22. CSA requires something to make a claim but JustFly won't provide it!"
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed. I suggested I take another flight, they kept on saying we will not be late . Well i missed both connecting flights."
Voordelen: "Both ground crew and flight crew were courteous and friendly."
Nadelen: "The meal was between edible and mediocre. It would have been nice if the hot beverages were served with the mini breakfast before landing."
Voordelen: "Decent legroom, pillows and blankets, food and drink all at no cost (paid for bag, opted not to pay for seats and still ended up together)."
Nadelen: "The flight is advertise as a British airways flight which flies out of teminal E in Boston. In reality the flight is through aer lingus which flies through terminal C. This should be clarified upon booking...."
Nadelen: "Supposed to leave Boston at 9:30 pm, instead 1:30 am. It was said they knew this the day before and sent emails to passengers. No one who I spoke to, including myself, got one. Aer Lingus hired another carrier to do this flight—plane, crew —no Aer Lingus personnel. Everyone was nice, but. Had made arrangement for early morning checkin. Got to the hotel SO late that they waved a fee and had our room ready. Was going to sightsee the first afternoon—basically lost a day of seeing Dublin."

Nadelen: "Staff did not seem engaged in customer service, did not go up and down the aisles to collect cups, paper, etc. very disappointing in tight space."

Voordelen: "I fly a lot in the US. Most of the time I’m afaid of the US flight attendants because they act like I’m bothering them when I ask a question. Aer Lingus flight attendants were so nice and SMILED even at 3am! Great service!"
Nadelen: "Dropped myself and my partner from our connecting flight from Heathrow to Boston cause of a plane switch. Provided no reason for why we were selected. Then was put on a flight to Dulles and then to Boston. Ended up arriving home about 5 and a half hours later than anticipated due to BA's incompetence. Awful day of travel. Also the plane's temperature was HOT! I've never experienced such discomfort on a flight."

Nadelen: "It would be so nice to have tea and/or coffee served before landing. oming in at 5am or 1am North America time is difficult and if you have to travel more that day a cup of coffee or tea sure would help. Serving tea and coffee at ten pm after serving dinner isnt good if you want to sleep..just keep it warm and serve it before we land."

They allowed people to relocate to seats allowing for more room and comfort once everyone boarded and empty seats were identified. The snacks and meals were tasty and generous. The entertainment options offered something for everyone - great music and movie choices. I would definitely fly Aer Lingus again."

Voordelen: "We had an excellent experience flying with Aer Lingus! We had a little trouble in the beginning due to my husbands CPAP machine. We did not realize you need a doctor’s note in order to fly! The first girl, Ajla, was sweet and just doing her job as she explained to us that we needed the note. My husband and I were upset, but she remained calm and kept a smile on her face. She got her supervisor, Ismail, to help us with our situation. We were able to resolve our problem with his help and check into our flight. Sean P helped us check into our flight and got us all situated. Ismail was amazing and upgraded our seats AND escorted us through security to make sure we would get to our flight with extra time to relax before we boarded! After our rocky start at check in Ismail made everything all better!! I highly recommend this Aer Lingus team at Logan International Airport!"

Nadelen: "The flight from Boston was extremely delayed,but miraculasly, the boarding to conecting FinnAir flight 6, took extra 10 minutes, which gave me a chance not to catch it. Though, me and the AA rep., had to cross-run about a mile up and down the escalators at terminal 8 , my baggage was left behind and did not make a transfer to FinnAir 6. At final destination I was asked to file a lost baggage claim. If not the initial flight from Logan, everything should go smoother."

Was on the plane for 45 minutes with no explaination from the crew. It was an electrical problem. Had to inboard and wait 45 more minutes. Allow weld to rehoard again. Waited another 20 ministrations before leaving. I am all for safety, but communications need to improve."
Nadelen: "Very cold cabin despite request to make it warmer, making it impossible to sleep. Food was cheap, carb-heavy fare - rice, crackers, a roll, sugar dessert bisquets all in one meal."

Nadelen: "The long delays, the cancellation near midnight, the long lines to what I thought was going to be some type of reimbursement for all the inconvenience at now having to find lodging for the evening, spend an entire day back at the airport, and transport myself from the NEW airport they made available for me from the original airport I had chosen. Absolutely NO compensation or reimbursement due to "weather." While I understand they can't control the weather, this is literally one of the greatest elements in their company. They should have provisions FOR it. Running out of airlines I could trust and rely on, and thought American would deliver. But No, not even this one. Extremely disappointed and staying away from AA."

Passengers seemed to be defying in small ways orders from the staff, standing etc. The staff responded quite severely in my opinion, repeating the safety video to everyone’s annoyance because some passengers were talking out loud."

Pouvez-vous vérifier et a l avenir être plus clair sur nos droits ou non aux bagages en soute ainsi que le prix du bagage sur votre site si vous le proposer et le prix au guichet . Cela augmente significativement le prix du billet donc mérite de nous informer clairement et complètement. Merci de votre compréhension et de votre réponse."

Then 10 minuets later another caucasian man seated behind me went to use the toilet right in front me without any problem."
