We had the same issue returning but the cost was $55 US. On top of that Iceland Air changed planes and bumped us from row 10 to 41 - the last row. Bizarrely there is no customer service desk at the Reykjavik Airport - they just give you a little card with the website for customer service. I don't understand how any airline does this! BTW, they blame the third party for the issues! That is you!!!"

Nadelen: "Well first off it was a connector flight from Toronto to Reykjavik to Oslo to Tromso, Norway. The first leg was delayed and then they lost my baggage, which happens, I get it. But then due to the delayed flight and lost baggage I missed my connection to Tromso. Then apparently neither airline can do anything to help me so I lose my entire flight cost because I booked through a third party. So I had to rebook a new flight at a premium cost just to get where I needed to go or risk losing my whole vacation. On top of that the baggage they lost is my backpack...hard to go backpacking across Norway with no backpack. Then they ship the backpack to the wrong airport, incorrectly wrote down my wrong cell number so they couldn't even call me...one cluster f*ck after another."

Voordelen: "I really enjoyed flying with Iceland Air. One bag included for check in with ticket - which can be hard to come by these days. As well, the plane was brand new, leather seats and entertainment system. There was water and a blanket waiting for you at your seat once you boarded. They were very efficient and the crew made the trip a pleasant journey. Would highly recommend!"

Didn´t allow us enough time to get train, take bus, we had over 500 people lined up for bus, get through TSA, they pulled my suitcase for inspection, but didn´t look at it for 15 minutes until i called a supervisor as my connecting flight was leaving, and in fact, it had left as TSA does this purposefully and maliciously as it apparently happens all the time per ÇBritish Airways who had to reticket us. We had to return to A section another 20 minutes to be reticketed and luckily got on another flight to

Nadelen: "I am handicapped and the jetway was broken. British Airways took a bad situation and made it worse! Obviously they had no contingency plans and the gate agents just wan't to avoid any responsibility and started blaming the poor man who had been wheeling me all over the airport. ONLY BRITISH AIRWAYS WAS AT FAULT FOR THIS. Eventually they put me on a lift several gates away and then loaded me onto the platform lift of one of those catering trucks that deliver food to the planes and drove me to my plane. The plane door was shut and they had to bang on the door to have them open it and let me board. As a result, I personally delayed the flight (officially) 28 minutes; in reality about 40 minutes. This was one of the most embarrassing and humiliating experiences of my life; to be loaded on a plane like freight!! Is this how British Airways operates??"

Boarded extremely early (almost an hour) but sat on tarmac for some time - eventually took off about 20 minutes late. Not airlines fault and likely result of holiday backlog Retrieving baggage from plane was biggest issue - use a carry on to but was required to valet bag as opposed to storing overhead. Baggage unloading was late (again, holiday backlog) but no personnel were available to inform passengers of delay, and bags were not in initial cart. Resulted a delay of offloading by roughly 20 minutes. Was ultimately found in the second wave of luggage, and witnessed baggage handlers tossing luggage carelessly onto cart floor. Nothing was damaged but was annoyed at lack of communication and overall disorganization."

Nadelen: "The booking process. Went through a third party (ka$@k) and at the last minute was transferred to a cheap aggregator I had never heard of. Needless to say customer service was a joke. Plain fraud."

Nadelen: "Flight arrived over 40 min late and despite my connecting flight still being connected to the gate I was told I couldn’t board. There were 5 people trying to connect to the same flight so it’s pretty rediculous that we were told to rebook when the plane didn’t leave the gate for 15 more minutes. This was the call of the airline and it was handled poorly. The rebooking agent was also extremely rude and seemed totally self absorbed. This was my worst flying experience out of approximately 50 flights this year. Never again American."
Voordelen: "I think crew tried to make the best of the bad situation. Got to Atlanta faster than scheduled flight time and they were sympathetic. Don't really know about much else, as I slept the whole flight."
Nadelen: "The 3 hour delay really cost us. Left Rome at 2:30 pm instead of 11:30 am, so missed 6:40 pm flight to Atlanta (so much for the 3 1/2 hour layover we were supposed to have). When we landed in Philadelphia, sat on runway for 45 minutes, waiting for gate. Next flight was supposed to leave at 8:40, took off at midnight."

Voordelen: "The crew was great and made light of a relatively tense situation. This was a connecting flight for many passengers which was delayed so many of us were missing our connections. The crew still did a great job keeping everyone comfortable and boarding us quickly."
Nadelen: "Unfortunately our plane was grounded in Chicago before our leg of the trip even began. By the time it arrived in YYZ many of us would already be missing connections. Due to a smaller plane we have to stow most of our carry on below which caused a bit of chaos while disembarking trying to retrieve bags and hustle to the next flights. Since I knew before leaving YYZ we were quite delayed my husband drove to ORD to pick me up instead of waiting 24hr for the next flight to St. Louis. It added 8 hours of driving for him to an already long day but we made the best of it."

Nadelen: "This turned out to be a 'code share' flight operated by American Airlines. As such, neither Qantas nor American Airlines would allow me to buy premium seats so we could have extra leg room. They said the 'code share' blocks seat sales! Be ware Also found out that American Airlines does not serve meals on flights from Toronto to LAX. I was told they only serve meals on "international flights" but that I could buy a sandwich or snack. Unfortunately they only had 4 sandwiches on board , which sold within the first 2 rows of the plane!"

Nadelen: "The plane had a very good entertainment system with a lot of good movies, but the flight had no earphones available, so only the passengers that had their own ear/headphones could use it. Other than that, the flight attendants were not kind in any way and items present in the onboard menu, were not available, as I asked for Pringles and there was none. I did not see anybody eating some food in this flight, other than the mini pretzels served. How a 3hour flight arriving at 09 PM, had no food onboard?"
Voordelen: "We missed this flight."
Nadelen: "Background info: we flew from Dublin to Toronto (Aer Lingus) and we were supposed to fly Toronto to Los Angeles on American Airlines; however, we had a British Airways flight number for both of these flights. We missed our connecting flight in Toronto with American Airlines (we had a 2 hour layover) despite landing on-time (de-boarded a few minutes late). I suggest avoiding the Toronto airport ALWAYS as every passenger must pick up his/her luggage even if you have a connecting flight, and then re-check the baggage with the next flight. Apparently the baggage handlers were on strike and some of the customs agents as well which added to the delays. Well, after going through Canadian customs and picking up our luggage (which took quite awhile) we arrived at the American Airlines ticketing kiosk about 45 minutes before our flight. The computer told us we were too late for this flight and to see a representative. We proceeded to wait in line for an American Airlines representative only to be told this was Aer Lingus' fault (we had just flown with them); even though we had a BA flight number.. After searching for an Aer Lingus representative we were finally told they were probably all on the Aer Lingus flight that was currently about to leave. An Aer Lingus representative was paged to the ticketing counter (took well over 30 minutes for anyone to show up) and what proceeded was an argument (for well over an hour) between British Airways and Aer Lingus representatives about whose responsibility it was to re-book us. After an hour at least of poor customer service, we were finally rebooked by British Airways on the last flight to LAX (on Air Canada). Moral of the story: avoid Toronto and fly direct."

Voordelen: "At least the gate agent was pleasant when she told us she couldn't help us and gave us information to get rebooked."
Nadelen: "That our bags were late coming off the plane and instead of being able to put them on the connection belt we had to take them up to recheck and rwtag them."
Nadelen: "I hated the waiting area at Pearson. I hated the temperature and how tiny the seats are. Was so hot and absolutely miserable."
Nadelen: "Connecting to LAX through Toronto was frustrating. We were told in Dublin that our bags were checked all the way through to LA and they weren't. (Been through Toronto before and thought maybe they had changed the procedure) Airport signage could be improved to accurately inform of baggage pickup and drop off with your connecting air carrier. (Our traveling companions ended up missing the flight home in the confusion.) The airport is going through renovations, maybe it will improve. The flight to LA wasn't stocked properly with food. They ran out of sandwiches/fruit and cheese plates by the first few rows in the main cabin. No earbuds available for those who needed them. Cramped seating. This flight was with BA partner American Airlines"

Nadelen: "I know it's probably not legal to throw passengers out of a moving plane, but I think the flight would have been a lot better without that disruptive lady making multiple scenes. I don't understand how people who behave that way are capable of travel in the first place"

Nadelen: "No food, no drink, no entertainment were included with this fare. Thankfully we were so exhausted from the long haul flight immediate preceding this flight that we did not care. I'm not sure why but the gate staff was trying to get everyone to check their smaller bags including our backpacks. My husband gave in but I did not since not having them would be disaster during this trip. His backpack and many bags from other customers came about 15 minutes after the rest of the luggage so we were a little panicked. Thankfully all turned out fine."

Nadelen: "IBERIA crew lacks manners & are simply not pleasant. Plane was delayed 2 hrs & crew only told publicly what the problem was about 30 mins after original departure time. Food has been reduced & of less quality. Entertainment system wasn't working & crew didn't seem to understand it's their problem to fix it. It finally worked 3 hrs into the flight."
Voordelen: "Once I understood how it worked it was a breeze"
Nadelen: "Made more than four different lines before 1 understanding Iberia worker helped us out. Was told that that wasn’t the correct line and sent to another. The next place the same for more than 3 times. Then finally, Raquel, LISTENED, and away we went."

Nadelen: "We specifically paid and picked seats in advance towards the front of the plane and when we checked in at the counter the day of they reassigned us to different seats that they choose at the back of the plane without giving us any type of explanation for doing so. What was the point then in charging us extra to pick our seats?! Also when the person in front of you reclines their seat back you are left with very little room."

Voordelen: "Check-in was good, no queues. I arrived about four hours before scheduled departure time and check-in had been open already for an hour. In Mexico City Airport I had missed a flight three days earlier as I'd been observing the departure screens and they'd failed to update the status of my aircraft: this time I was informed of the gate at check-in. Flight was on time and didn't do anything scary. I was lucky as my neighbour found another free seat so left me with more room."
Nadelen: "I've found Iberia to be uncaring. This flight was much the same. The food and drink service was cheap, and I felt the attendants didn't feel like they had to try to give good service. The new entertainment screens kept coming on, and I kept turning them off as I wished to sleep. Eventually I discovered they were being triggered by the electrostatic charge on the pillows that I was rearranging."
Voordelen: "Everyone is doing his job correctly and nicely. Nothing special to add"
Voordelen: "I got to my destination on time/no mishaps. Kudos to the flying crew for a job well done."
Nadelen: "Too longer walk to connecting flight under time crunch. No entertainment . No much room,all squashed together. No snack (free/as part of ticket) on second flight."

Nadelen: "The seats are cramped, no leg room. The passenger in front of me reclined her seat and spent the majority of the flight in my lap. The temperature on the plane was hot. if you're in an aisle seat you might feel the air conditioner but not if you're in the center of the row. There are not air vents above the seats. This was a long flight to be miserable."

Nadelen: "Missed my flight while waiting on a wheelchair. The lady was rude and yelling at customers because she didn't have what she needed to do her job."

Nadelen: "The planes were older and the seats were not comfortable for the length of the flights."
Nadelen: "The flight was cancelled at the last minute due to a hurricane. Both British airlines and Iberian airlines posted conflicting information as to the flight cancellation, hence affecting hotel reservations and proceeding flights. The whole process has been a nightmare. I will have serious reservations booking future flights with either airline. Very disappointed !"
Voordelen: "I flew business class: the crew and comfort was great; the food was pretty good."
Nadelen: "Boarding was horrendous: they have the whole flight stand and wait to board! In Madrid, they called to initiate boarding and we stood for 15-20 min before anyone moved at all; business class was then called, and we ended up standing another 15-20 min in the jetway before being ushered into the plane! Even in business class, the entertainment system was poor it's difficult to use and my system froze entirely on the way to Madrid. It worked on the way back, but the selection was relatively limited and poor."

Nadelen: "Absolutely everything. I paid for a seat only to get bumped to the very back of the plane. I waited in line for 30 plus minutes to talk to a gate agent who just ignored everyone in line. Their service is worse than United. You get what you pay for. I will never fly with these clowns again. And I want my $33 back for the seat I didn't get!!!!!"

Nadelen: "The company is not good on following schedules, jeopardizing people's duties and responsibilities. Definitely not recommending this company to anyone!"
Voordelen: "The very friendly and competent attendant. He deserves 5 stars, working alone in cramped conditions."
Nadelen: "Narrowness of aisle and seats. Minimal legroom and an average person had to bend to get in and out of seats."
Voordelen: "The seat was comfortable."
Nadelen: "All snacks and beverages appeared to be at cost. No in-flight entertainment. My traveling companion's luggage was never delivered to our destination and really made for a less enjoyable trip (since she had to purchase everything anew, as well as having to repeatedly contact the airline to check on the bag - receiving multiple inaccurate stories as to what happened). It makes me far less likely to fly or recommend this airline again. Luggage tracking should be a very simple process."

Voordelen: "The friendly, professional and always willing to help and device staff. The tasty food and snacks. There was always a member of the staff visible so it was easy to get water during the 10 hour flight. Or you can go and see them into their resting area and they were willing to help."
Nadelen: "I tried to paid for an upgrade but the ground staff wasn't very accommodating, she just said no."
Nadelen: "When we arrived at AirPort El Dorado, we discovered that our flight was cancelled/has been changed without warning us! They scheduled us a new flight with Vianca and Iberia: Bogotá-Madrid + Madrid-Brussels. My partner and I could not sit together on any of these flights! 1 of 10 hours and of 2 hours! I would NOT recommend AA to anyone! This was full responsability of AA!"
Nadelen: "Stewards keep trying to speak in Spanish to you. Every time again you have to ask to repeat in English."
Nadelen: "I ordered a kosher meal and did not get it. I had nothing to eat for 15 hours"
