Nadelen: "Had a layover in Toronto. From Toronto we flew to Istanbul and then Venice. While waiting in line to board in Toronto, I was told my carry-on luggage was too big and needed to be put under. I asked MULTIPLE times where my luggage would be- either Istanbul or Venice (final destination) and EVERY time I asked, I was told my luggage would be waiting for me in Venice. Once we arrived in Istanbul I asked AGAIN if my carry-on luggage was here or if it would be in Venice and I was told it would be in Venice. Once we arrived in Venice, my luggage was nowhere to be found. The lost luggage crew (and 90% of the people in Venice) were completely rude and acted like we were a huge inconvenience for them. (I've heard that many Europeans cannot stand Americans, but we were not being rude or obnoxious at all to anyone- we just wanted a quiet, romantic vacation.) So safe to say that it was an extremely rough start. We were in Venice for the Glass Art Society Conference in Murano and due to my luggage being lost, had missed the first day and a half, therefore wasting hundreds of dollars. Luckily my boyfriend's phone worked in order to spend our first two days of vacation (not to mention the amount of money spent on international calling costs) tracking down my luggage, but again dealt with completely rude people who barely helped us with any answers and even hung up on us multiple times (and I'd like to add that despite my frustration, I made sure that I was not speaking rudely one bit). The best answers we received were from the people at the Istanbul airport who told us that Venice received my luggage hours before I even called Istanbul- which I do not understand why the Venice airport did not tell me this because I spent all day speaking with them. Once I called back the Venice airport to confirm what the Istanbul airport told us, they said (once again rudely) that they called me on my phone but did not answer (which I already told them that my phone did not have any service and to call my boyfriend's phone number). So to sum up: I will never be flying to Venice ever again."

Nadelen: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Once seat in front of me was back I could not retrieve anything stowed under my seat. No room to bend. Awful. Also plane seemed worn. The magazine rack in front of my seat was brokenness one side and kept falling forward on my knees. Had hoped to sleep during this redeye; not a chance."

Nadelen: "I was fine with a 5 hour delay I was fine with my bags not being on the same flight as me I am not fine with finally receiving my bags 24 hours later soaking wet. Everything it dripping. I still have nothing to change into now and there was no compensation offered whatsoever. Never flying with this airline again."

Nadelen: "Late leaving resulted in huge rush through transfer in Dublin. Not really a fan of the "just go ahead and board" approach, bit it seems to work."

Voordelen: "I flew overnight from Toronto, Canada to Dublin and had a relatively pleasant experience. The food and drink trolleys came by quite quickly and frequently, and the food exceeded my expectations. The crew was friendly, for the most part. Boarding certainly could've been smoother... But overall, I'd fly Aer Lingus again for an overseas trip."

Voordelen: "The flight was delayed by a little over an hour, but the pilot managed to make up some time. Airplane was clean enough and crew was friendly."

Voordelen: "From the moment I arrived I felt very taken care of. Plenty of seating in lounge, with many of them facing runway. People were friendly and accommodating. Food was average. On aircraft, the staff was outstanding."

Seats were very narrow, and did NOT reline. The seatback entertainment and usb power did NOT work in our section."
Nadelen: "Better boarding procedure in KEF. Our plane felt like a third-world aircraft with non-working equipment, VERY tight non-reclining seats. A cracker would have been nice on a 6 hour flight."

With a bar in the middle of my foot space, there was no space under my seat for my personal item; No food on an international flight also disappointing."
Nadelen: "We had a different plane with narrow seats - ok for me but not the person beside me. Nothing but tea or coffee - all food and beverage had to be purchased. My experience. Uncomfortable and hungry."

We had the same issue returning but the cost was $55 US. On top of that Iceland Air changed planes and bumped us from row 10 to 41 - the last row. Bizarrely there is no customer service desk at the Reykjavik Airport - they just give you a little card with the website for customer service. I don't understand how any airline does this! BTW, they blame the third party for the issues! That is you!!!"

Nadelen: "Well first off it was a connector flight from Toronto to Reykjavik to Oslo to Tromso, Norway. The first leg was delayed and then they lost my baggage, which happens, I get it. But then due to the delayed flight and lost baggage I missed my connection to Tromso. Then apparently neither airline can do anything to help me so I lose my entire flight cost because I booked through a third party. So I had to rebook a new flight at a premium cost just to get where I needed to go or risk losing my whole vacation. On top of that the baggage they lost is my backpack...hard to go backpacking across Norway with no backpack. Then they ship the backpack to the wrong airport, incorrectly wrote down my wrong cell number so they couldn't even call me...one cluster f*ck after another."

Nadelen: "La barrière de départ n’a pas été indiquée sur les écrans électroniques, et comme nous nous étions enregistrés en ligne et que nous attendions au salon où les vols ne sont pas annoncés, nous sommes arrivés tard à l’embarquement et avons presque manqué notre vol. À bord, le personnel a fait le nécessaire mais pas plus, service peu chaleureux et minimaliste. Le débarquement s’est fait avec une navette, comme à Mirabel dans le temps, et comme il n’y avait qu’une seule navette à la porte arrière, le processus a êté laborieux."

Nadelen: "I was upgraded to saga class but still no free wifi. I missed my connecting flight because Iceland air was delayed. Not impressed. Hoping to get my flight I had to re book paid for."

Voordelen: "Efficient short connection in Reykjavik. Also the luggage made it to the next flight."
Nadelen: "The bag check in process was unorganized. The bag belt was not working and out bags were left outside of the counter. They were not scanned in and did not make the flight even though we arrived at the airport 3 hours before boarding. It is very disappointing to get to Iceland and not have clothing to go explore. We are hopeful the bags will arrive before we leave."

Voordelen: "I really enjoyed flying with Iceland Air. One bag included for check in with ticket - which can be hard to come by these days. As well, the plane was brand new, leather seats and entertainment system. There was water and a blanket waiting for you at your seat once you boarded. They were very efficient and the crew made the trip a pleasant journey. Would highly recommend!"
