For a flight to Japan, I thought $1,000 round trip direct from Boston was an excellent price considering you got 2 complete meals and additional snacks. Much more than I expected. Would fly Japan Airlines again."

Nadelen: "I think my negative impression of this flight was more due to the extreme turbulence and extra hour spent on the ground at Narita, which is always a challenging airport. The meals were passable, but hardly anything to be proud of, seats were cramped and flight was pretty uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "Checking in 48 hrs in advance with no aisles or windows seats for selection. Being stuck in the middle seat 26F for 9 hours. Discovered in LAX that my luggage tags were improperly tagged in TPE. I had someone else's luggage tags on my bags going From TPE to KIX to LAX to Houston instead TPE - KIX- LAX- Austin."

Voordelen: "For a little bit more cost than regular airlines, JAL makes you feel like you are flying a better version of business, while still being in economy."

Voordelen: "There was a huge check-in line but it went quickly because they had 8-10 ticket agents with luggage 'helpers' for the agents. Of course there was a problem with my reservation that they had never seen before which manifested itself by them not being able to print my boarding pass. They called Tokyo and were told that they had never seen my problem before either. Anyway, the ticketing supervisor stayed with me for 45 minutes until they could over come the problem. I would be a rich man if I had a nickel for every 'So-sorry' I got that day."

Nadelen: "The crew at check in was really inconsiderate and has given us false information! Despite of what documents were required and submitted I was not allowed to board the plane."

A passenger who sat next to my husband snored all the time and leaned a bit over my husband as he was heavy."

The seats were comfortable (as comfortable as Economy and 24hours of flying can be), the entertainment and aircraft were state of the art, and the food was outstanding for airline food. If I get the chance in the future I will definitely choose Qatar Airways for long trips."

Voordelen: "Boarding was quick and I liked that they didn’t make many announcements which can often keep passengers awake when they’re trying to sleep. Lights were kept off for the duration of the 14 hour flight which was good."
Nadelen: "I felt that the service was slow and the food was poor. Water was not offered during the flight as is the norm with other airlines. Toilets should be cleaned more regularly. Advertising at the beginning of the inflight entertainment became very repetitive when watching short tv shows."

Nadelen: "Out of Vegetarian food. As per them it was because ticket was booked less than 24 hrs"

Nadelen: "The flight from Sao Paulo to Doha was canceled which delayed our travel by 24 hrs. With the baggage being mis-labeled from Rio we almost lost our bags. the crew was not communicative and the entire experience terribly stressful."

Nadelen: "same remark : Before our trip we called Kayak service desk with the request to reserve our seats. The answer obtained was that we should do it online. When we went online there were almost no more seats available so we decided to go to the check in counter in the airport. Although we were more than 3 hours in advance in the airport there were almost no seats available. We were very disappointed about this service, we never experienced this with any other airline companies..."

Nadelen: "The online check in system was down so we all had to line up to check in."

Nadelen: "the wifi was average at best. I get that we there are limitations...but if the service is going to be this poor, make it free & unlimited."

Voordelen: "All the stewards were so friendly and helpful. The facilities were very well serviced and so you forget that the plane was 100% full, despite long queues to the toilets. I would fly again with Qatar Air for sure."

Nadelen: "They announced everything in English and Arabic and repeated the same announcement multiple times. The entertainment is good but frustrating that it is constantly interrupted with announcement about everything. I have never heard that many on any other plane. The announcement about customs paperwork was long and done 2 times in English and 2 times in Arabic. There safety video is soooo long and again is done in two languages. It was just all too much. Besides that everything was great."

Nadelen: "Front row with a toddler meant that we couldn't lift the armrests up and get her to lay down. She had to lie on the floor, but when we hit some turbulence, we had to wake her and sit her back up with us. The second part of the leg was much better as we were on a normal row seat"

Nadelen: "Poor communication about transfers. I also had to throw away 20 pounds of things or get charge $800"

Nadelen: "Check in staff and customer service reps were unprofessional and unhelpful. We had an 8 hour layover on both legs, no access to the lounge or a hotel was provided. I explained we were on our way to our wedding and it would be nice to have some rest. They were rude with the way they told us no, they even suggested we sleep on the floor of the airport. We ended up paying for the lounge, but then so did about 1000 other people, there was no room for us to sit together. My wife's allergy free meal wasn't provided on the first flight. We had to speak to about 5 people to get a meal ticket at the airport and they were very reluctant to give us one. I told them she was hungry and needed to eat. They told us we could take the meal we got with the ticket on board, when we went to use the ticket we had no choice in meal, were given a coke at 6am and weren't allowed to heat up our meal or take it on board. In summary, all the cabin crew on all 4 flights were excellent. Staff at Doha airport were incredibly poor."

Nadelen: "Boarding is shambolic - no signs, no announcements, no disciplined queuing system. Business class sears old-fashioned, not horizontal, uncomfortable. Impossible to get to first class lounge until the Emirates desk opens (we had a 5-hour wait before we could go to security as we couldn’t go through until the desk opened to take checked luggage. They appear unfamiliar with boarding passes on the phone - wanted paper ones."

Voordelen: "The departure & arrival time. A fantastic price that included an excellent meal there and back, 30k luggage quota, entertainment that lasted throughout the duration of the flight. It just seemed seamless and felt like it didn't take that long to get there. I will definitely be catching this flight, every time I return to NZ"

Voordelen: "Flew Emirates coach Washington to Dubai to Johannesburg and Bangkok to Dubai to Washington in July 2017. New A380-800 planes were superb. Entertainment system is second to none. Staff is efficient and polite. Except for the "required crying babies" on each leg the plane is very quiet and peaceful. The check-in, however is a zoo. But better to put your best employees on the flights rather than on the ground."

Families with babies and young kids should be seated in their own section with some type of sound barrier. The flight attendants did nothing to control these families who took over sections of the plane as if it were their own personal space. I empathize, Im a mother. But have some common courtesy!"

Voordelen: "In my way to Dubai, I asked the gentleman not to put me in the middle, when I get in found myself in a middle row middle seat. Food choices chicken, steak, and stuffed zucchini all are nasty. Also, I was told that business class luggage comes out first that wasn't true on both leg of the trip. Also, I wasn't told that I have a lounge to hang out until the boarding time. In my way back it was same exact food menu service is mediocre at best very demanding flight attendants. Also the luggage came out towards the end . I told my friend I travelled with that this would be my last time to use Emirates airline"

At one point she vomited and there was an attendant near us and granted that it was time for take off and no one can be standing up but after that she didn't even offered anything to clean up or ask us if everything is alright and she even had the look of disgust on her face while she was sitting down. All throughout the duration of the flight no one go for the extra mile to assist me as I was alone with a toddler. I have to ask for the bassinet 3x and it took them a long time. No one gave us the toddler meal which I ordered previously. I thought emirates was a better airline than qatar airways but I was gravely mistaken. Even China southern can do better than that. Horrible."

They even brought back Krug, which they opened on the ground no less in New York, and offer access to AA Flagship Dining at JFK which itself offers flagship dining."

Voordelen: "I paid $190 for extra legroom for an economy seat by an exit door, however the remote for the entertainment screen encroached an inch on the already VERY narrow seats - I'm six foot three and 215 pounds and both hips were in full pressing contact against the sides of the seat - TOO NARROW!"

Voordelen: "My mother requires additional assistance for boarding (wheelchair for the ramp, a little extra time). Cathay adjusted our seats so we would be located reasonably near the doors yet close enough to the bathroom for her convenience. The stewards literally took her by the arm to help her to her seat, even taking her bags for her. And they made a point of checking on her several times during the flight. Absolutely amazing!"

Voordelen: "The economy seat was comfortable with adequate leg room. The flight stsff was attentive. The flight itself left early and arrived early."
Nadelen: "The boarding process was slightly chaotic. I attribute that to anlanguage battier as most of thr passengers were Adain and probanly did not understand the instructions. It worked out though."

Voordelen: "Arrived 40 minutes ahead of scheduled arrival time. Food and drinks on board were above expectation compared to other airlines like KLM, China Southern. Cathay delivered a smooth and great service throughout this trip as per usual."

Nadelen: "In Canton (Guangzhou) aangekomen was er een zeer lamé wachttijd bij de douane van ongeveer anderhalve uur voordat ik aan de beurt was. Dit heeft verder niets met Cathay te maken maar wel met de vluchthaven."

Voordelen: "Vriendelijkheid en flexibiliteit personeel, goeie app van Cathay en keurige aansluiting op vervolgvluxht."

Nadelen: "The food was atrocious and this was business class. The toilet lights were so dimmed all the time you couldn't see what was going on. Last year we flew business class Cathay pacific from Hong Kong to Melbourne and loved it. This year we decided to fly from Melbourne to Dusseldorf and then from Frankfurt to Melbourne with this airline. Won't be doing that again. Why pay business class fares to be disapointed"

Voordelen: "Travelling with a 1 yr old, the extra leg room and space in the bassinet seats was appreciated. Service and help from staff was outstanding. Recommend for travelling with young children. Minimises the pain!"

Voordelen: "Had problems with check in because of china eastern mishandling our baggage, the Quantas staff got everything sorted for us. Plenty of leg room on the flight and the cabin staff were fantastic, only thing that let it down was the food choice, but, as it was only a 3 hour flight this wasn;t really a problem. Would gladly fly with them again any time."

Voordelen: "I loved the first meal and the choices all seemed amazing. Staff were friendly during boarding. Seats were really comfortable and good movie and song choices."
Nadelen: "The second meal, a small noodle box was dry, overcooked, and bland even with the dressing. The crew was not very friendly during the flight (I understand maybe they had a cranky passenger before and it was a long flight but smiling isnt that hard!). Inflight service was inconsistent as one side came down to serve 15minutes after the first side. The headphones looked quite dirty so I used my own. Boarding was quite slow and then takeoff was late but it was nice that the captain explained it."

Nadelen: "One negative experience was that there was only 1hr 30mins between connecting flights. Between departing international flight - picking up luggage/toilet stop and clearing Immigration/Customs then catching bus between Qantas international domestic terminals we were racing to catch flight. As we arrived Qantas domestic terminal our names were being called over along with info the plane was awaiting our arrival. In my experience 2hrs is minimum time between connecting flights - otherwise good experience."
