Nadelen: "I know this isn’t really the fault of the airline, but there was a loud toddler sitting behind me. It was frustrating, because the mother did not seem to do anything to have her child be quiet. It makes it hard for everyone around them to have comfortable rest, especially as this was an overnight flight. I have flown over the years with up to 5 children and do know how hard it can be, but it is important to foresee the needs of the child. I wonder of the attendants could have been a little more firm with the mother to ask her not to let the child roam the aisle."

Nadelen: "Omg did you study how to prevent people from sleeping? If you allowed the head of the seat to go back just 3 more inches i think i could sleep. Instead, i am tortured like a yawn that wont come out, a mosquito in the dark, an itch that runs away from my fingers ... out of reach and just inaccessible. 12 hours of wishing so that by the time i reach my final destination, I've been awake over 24 hours. Im getting too old for that."

Voordelen: "Their customer service is excellent! when I left my card (fell out of my pursue while in transit), they called me immediately! After a long vacation, exploring. I was extremely tired and and left my phone completely on silent for 4 days, and within those 4 days they called and left me messages. Lucky I live here in Hawaii, can you imagine being a tourist and you lost your card? Excellent customer service."

Before the flight landed, the head flight attendant came to greet every passenger and personally thanked them for choosing JAL. I've flown on JAL several times and thus had never happened so I was pleasantly surprised."
Nadelen: "Economy Class seats are uncomfortable for long haul. Wish they could do something about it. Some of us dislike rice crackers and peanuts as welcome snacks so a different option could be nice."

Voordelen: "I wasn't interested in the meal which i would eat in airplane before i got on the plane. So, without any expectation i got the meal. It tasted good and the service after meal was also good. If i have a chance later, want to take air Japan again."

Nadelen: "The movie selection, my electrical outlet didn't work and they took my phone away from me to charge it in economy plus but did not allow me to come with my phone. The food wasn't very good either."

Nadelen: "I have been flying JAL from HK to Boston numerous times and by far my favourite (over Cathay and don't even need to mention United). However this past trip gave me a new perspective. Given it is a Japanese airline and all, it is normal for them to be Japanese-centric. We had an a-hole sitting in front of us at 51F during our flight to Narita and he was trying hard to argue with us in English, and even told us to move to another seat. When I had the flight attendant (her name is Sako on flight JL736 on Jul 26) over to discuss (in English) she went to the guy in front of us and started apologizing to him. For what??? She then came back to us speaking in Japanese and brushed the issue away. Sorry, no this was not acceptable, even though my fiance was okay with the situation."

Nadelen: "We couldn't land in Narita due to bad weather, so we did emergency landing to Haneda to refuel and go back to Narita. But after we got off in Narita, the immigration is chaos. Nobody arranging it and people just going wild, nobody knows where the line should begin. We spent 2 hours plus in the imigration line. So from the scheduled time to arrive at Tokyo 5pm, we get to our Hotel at 2am. Good job Narita airport!"

There was a 7 hours delay and the airline did not arrange any accommodation for an overnight stay at the airport.

I needed to change my flight and your company made it extremely difficult. The customer service for kayak was completely UNSAT.

Voordelen: "The crew was super attentive. The seats were really confortable. I loved that the seat would completely flatten to make a « bed », wonderfully for sleeping!"
Nadelen: "The check in and boarding in Kathmandu was really not good. I requested wheelchair assistance when I booked, and was never offered a wheelchair nor any assistance for that matter ..."

Nadelen: "In Tbilisi there were problems with boarding pass from Doha to NYC, as they said at desk than I’ll git it in Doha without problems. The arrival was late, wat Doha’s desk they tried to give me boarding oass , but at last sent to the information desk, at that time I had only 1 hr before departure, lazy woman at dest was not so much helpful and friendly, at last I’ve got the boarding and run to the gate as crazy. It was possible to say that I can got it at the gate too"

Nadelen: "There was not enough tome to catch my connecting flight and I had to stay in the airport an additional 6 hours and had to stay the night in the hotel and then get to Portland on another airline 21 hours later than planned."
Nadelen: "The TSA agents broke my phone and tried to hide it in a secured package with another of my electronics. I questioned why 1/3 phones were in secured and the others were not. I was told to not open the bag until I reached my destination. Lucky I opened it after I cleared security to find that the face of the phone had been shattered with glass shards sticking out, I bought this to the crews' attention and was told to send an email to a random email for the airlines and that the incident would be investigated later. So basically I was given the brush off. Worst experience I have had while flying."

Nadelen: "The seat from Jakarta to Doha, especially the head/neck holder was uncomfortoble. Too big and stiff and wasn’t on the right possition even though it is adjustable. One of the crew didn’t say anything, not even smile after she opened the curtain between bussiness and economy class at row J K L. She just walked away."

Nadelen: "When I arrived at the Airport in Arusha (JRO) my reserved row 23 aisle seats for the DOH to JFK segment were changed to the (last cabin section row 31); also my aisle seat was changed to a middle seat Food was better from JFK to DOH Entertainment was lacking - movie and TV selection was poor for 20+ hours of flight time"

Nadelen: "I’m a 6’3” in shape man. I selected the bulkhead seats for extra leg room. Great crew, but my shoulders stuck past the seat edge 3” on both sides. Qatar should revise their claim of most room in cabin - this 12 hour flight was one of the roughest I’ve had in a long time comfort wise."

Voordelen: "We are guessing they either overbooked or they didn't have sufficient passengers on a Tuesday afternoon who's final stop was Glasgow. They rebooked him for 1200 the next day. DFW to MN, St Paul to Schipole, Amsterdam to final destination, Glasgow. So he ends up having to pay for another Lyft back to our apartment in Dallas, then another additional one for the 12 noon flight the next morning. If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."
Nadelen: "He was bumped to the next day due to his flight being cancelled. Then re-booked the next day, with an additional layover. Then due to a 32 minute layover that left 3 minutes sooner..."

Got on another flight with its own connection Munich then Sofia and about to miss that connection too because this flight is also delayed for no reason. Lot app doesn't work. Customer service is horrificly slow and their phone number had me on hold for over 40 min after which dropped my call"
Voordelen: "Without any note all passengers were required to pay for their baggage, same price either it was 10 or 20 kg. Nobody send any information before about this extra payment!"
Nadelen: "The airport wasn't ready to except foreigners. The personal at customs hardly could communicate in English, always switching to Polish. The custom officer forgot return transfer ticket. So, I had in no time to ask at the check point tofi s my name in the list and give me another tickets. It was very stressful."
