Voordelen: "We had two flights with Swiss and the first one left half an hour late, meaning we only had about 10 minutes to connect to the next one. Instead of sprinting through the airport, a man was waiting for us immediately outside the plane. He got our luggage right from the cargo, drove us to another man who stamped our passports, and then drove us to the plan just in time for takeoff. It was incredible service and everyone was super friendly. We so appreciated them making sure we caught our connecting flight!"

Voordelen: "I did not take this flight. I had to change my itinerary to accommodate a change in my work commitments and tried to cancel this flight but was unable."
Nadelen: "I am never ordering a ticket through your services again. And I will certainly advise friends and colleagues against doing so. Your customer service is execrable. This is the second time in a year that I have had to spend hours of time in an attempt to cancel a flight and have lost the full ticket cost because of all your terms and conditions and fine (=unfindable, unreadable) print. The lack of transparency regarding baggage fees is outrageous. I have had to pay hundreds of dollars in such fees after having had no such notice - and no inkling - that that would be the case. We call this a "racket" in the United States."

Nadelen: "The seats we were in were where it went from 4 in a row to 3, so the telvisions were not directly in front of us, and i had to keep my head turned at an angle for ten hours. It sounds silly, but my neck hurt after the flight a little. Might be a pop out tv you can attach that is moveable to fix this"

Nadelen: "They checked my bag at the gate - despite me traveling all over the world NEVER having to check it - and would not take no for an answer, despite me having a 25 minute connection due to their one hour delay. Once boarded there was an incredible amount of empty overhead bins! Bag didn't make it"

Nadelen: "The flight from Copenhagen to Brussels was delayed long enough that I barely made my connecting flight to Frankfurt. However, my luggage did not. I hope it will arrive today."

Nadelen: "Lufhtansa is slipping. They are acting like a budget airline when the expectation is for a full service airline. The online check-in would not let us add bags even though we tried for 3 hours. Not impressed with this."

Voordelen: "Upstairs deck for economy is a small space but is relatively quiet. Boarding was relatively quick through electronic gates where you scan your boarding card. Flight attendant was very personable. She was checking some passenger names as some seemed to have switched seats and remembered mine for the rest of the flight. Something you usually get in business class but a first for me in economy. They also came around several times during the flight with water/juice, and snacks. Entertainment was ok. A mixture of newer movies available."
Nadelen: "Like all economy seating not much space especially when the person in front reclines their seat. This makes getting in and out of the seat a little difficult. Food a bit limited. 2 main meals for this flight (lunch/dinner) - chicken or pasta for the first one and beef or pasta (again) for the pre-landing meal. Also the attendant didn’t know the translation of the pasta dish from German to English so that was a bit disappointing. One thing to note. I flew Hamburg to Frankfurt to connect to the San Francisco flight with a 1 hour layover. You need to go through passport control in FRA and then I hustled to get to the gate. They were boarding as I arrived but maybe 10 minutes later and I would have missed my flight. No issues with the airline just a cautionary note on the layover time. I would likely book an earlier connecting flight to give a bit more time."

Nadelen: "This flight was the second leg on my trip from New York to Munich. Many people on the flight from NY to Brussels were scheduled on this flight and that plane landed in time that this flight would only need to be delayed 10 minutes to allow for us to connect. However, they decided to leave all of us with a long unexpected layover in Brussels, costing many of us a day of what was supposed to be a short vacation for most."

Nadelen: "We booked these flights expecting Lufthansa. Little disappointed to learn they were Brussels airlines. Inflight entertainment options and meal options don't seem to be as good. Flight crew was pleasant and fine. After learning it was Brussels airlines I went through their check-in process for families and requested kid-friendly meals, but nothing came of it. Slightly disappointed."

Nadelen: "Where to begin? During the booking process, there was no indication my travel partner and I would be flying Air Canada, and not Lufthansa. We were seated in the last row of the plane with painfully little legroom — even for two women of relatively small stature. The plane was not equipped with modern conveniences of operational wifi, music, or any other means of entertainment over the ten-hour flight. We were nearly an hour late to depart, but were unable to hear anything over the speakers regarding the cause for the delay, nor could we hear any of the flight attendants' safety instructions. What we could hear, however, was the surprisingly loud and nearly constant DINNNGGGG of the passengers' call buttons as they summoned the flight attendants. Because the flight was an overnighter, we attempted to sleep, but it was nearly impossible to do so due to the noise. I had earplugs in and could still hear the chimes, which were positioned right above our seats and made for an unpleasant experience and cranky travelers. The food was subpar as expected, but it would've been nice to be surprised with something resembling a fresh piece of fruit or vegetable. The flight crew was polite and one of the attendants took pity on us and offered a complimentary shot of whiskey, which partially alleviated the discomfort of the experience. That man is a saint and we surely hope he is better taken care of by this airline than we were. Overall a miserable experience. Will definitely rethink flying both Lufthansa and Air Canada in the future."

Nadelen: "That we were told on the flight from Düsseldorf to Frankfort we would make our connecting and after running from Terminal A to Z, and seeing the plane on the Tarmac, we were told we were too late. And then the service associate at the Frankfort Lufthansa was incredibly rude, unhelpful and inaccurate."

Nadelen: "I had a business class seat but it was really more like premium economy for other airlines, but with lower quality. Food, especially for business clsss was not very good. The person next to me flies with them often and pre-requested gluten free but they didn't have anything for her. The seats were not clean with a leftover tissue and apple core from a previous flight. Lufthansa is now my last resort option when flying to and from Europe."

Nadelen: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

Voordelen: "Good entertainment options. Nice flight attendants"
Nadelen: "It would be helpful for short people to be able to adjust the head rest lower on the seat. More recent released movies would be helpful. More leg room. Not charging more money to choose seats."

Voordelen: "Sound was broken on my TV set!"
Nadelen: "Called stewardess twice to assist. No response!"

Voordelen: "Nice to have a wrap for the snack."
Nadelen: "Would have preferred boarding by row - back of the flight first so would have been more organized."

Nadelen: "The cabin crew was racist. She told me to move back from an empty seat just because she wanted one of the guys ( from her country ) to set on it! Very rude and racist."

Voordelen: "Smooth boarding, clean seats/plane, nice small aircraft (2 rows x 2 seats each), surprisingly spacious (more legroom than expected - and I’m 6’2”)."
Nadelen: "About 1h30min delay without an explanation. All other planes in the terminal seemed to take off on time without a problem, without exception (aside from this flight, of course)."

Voordelen: "Boarding was as expected, crew & food were ok. Nothing else positive to extract out of this flight."
Nadelen: "Delayed flight, horrible baggae policy when the flight is actually operated by a partner of the company you bought the ticket from and not the actual company. Dirty seats, no in-flight entertainment whatsoever (not even a magazine)."

Voordelen: "I enjoyed the attention to detail and comfort. Helped to make the flight easier to handle."

Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Nadelen: "Extremely old plain. The worst entertainment center i’ve ever seen: it was just ok for the 80’s. The crew seems to not knowing how to smile."

Nadelen: "We were traveling with my 94-year-old grandfather who needed wheelchair assistance. And it took the 4th person I asked to get any assistance. The very first Alitalia person I tried to speak to was the very worst. Though her job was to check people in, she said she couldn't help me and to go to another counter. When I asked if she could please at least make a call to get a wheelchair (my grandfather was at the airport entry and couldn't walk) she made a terrible face, threw the papers on her desk around and said I had to go to another counter. When I went to the counter she pointed at, I was told again I would have to go to another counter. No offense to dog owners, but the animals that were traveling received better assistance."

Nadelen: "The staff were super rude, forgot my food TWICE. Boarding took ages, and once inside the plane, they took a long time to get on the runway. Food was terrible, the bread was hard as rock. IFE has some relatively new films, but the screen is very small. The screen has terrible quality, and honestly makes the flight excruciatingly boring if you don’t have other sources of entertainment."

Nadelen: "Legroom inside the aircraft is too small. Salted and sweet snack options including cookies. This is on a two hour flight. Very uncomfortable journey"

Nadelen: "The flight departed one hour late."

Voordelen: "Really comfy headrests and blankets. Easiest plane I've slept on by far."
Nadelen: "Headset wasn't working so I could watch tv or listen to music."

Nadelen: "One of the entertainment systems was in disrepair. The headphone jack was jammed and the USB charge port was broken."

Voordelen: "Plane in good condition with more than average roominess in economy class with accommodating crew, decent food, and entertainment."
Nadelen: "In Italy Alitalia was difficult to contact and failed to provide timely and complete information about changes to check in procedures, e-ticket number, and flight identification number changes. Web site clunky at best and telephone tree info all in Italian only. When I tried to check in on line only message was of a "problem" with the ticket. No way to get info even at airport until shortly before flight. Flight departed one hour late. My wife's foot room impeded by electronic control box under seat in front of her. In short, back office and online services poor but flight and plane ok. None the less, will not use Alitalia again due to back office problems."

Voordelen: "Once arriving in Rome, the agents were very helpful in getting us a hotel for the night. However, at that point, it was very late and we had to wait for everyone else to be accommodated as well. It would have been a better process to have allowed passengers more information prior to arriving in Rome at 22:00"
Nadelen: "We missed our connecting flight to Palermo. For hours before, while we were stuck at Heathrow, we had little to no information as to what would happen once we landed in Rome. We were traveling with two small children and this was extremely frustrating and tiring."

Nadelen: "HORRIBLE seats. So unbelievably uncomfortable"

Nadelen: "They could offer some coffee."

Nadelen: "They forgot my luggage but knew exactly where it was was and got it to me the next evening."

Nadelen: "I tried to talk with the service desk to change my flight before the flight and the service team could not help me out because only the service desk outside security could look up other fights. I find this hard to believe and a little ridiculous that AirItalia would make their customers run around inside and outside security to switch flights. We live in a day of technology and have computers for a reason. There shouldn't be an issue why other flights can be looked up from only one computer. In addition, we boarded the plane and then we waited on the tarmac for 2 hours waiting to leave. The air was turned off and it was hot and stuffy inside the plane."
