Voordelen: "Don't cheap out on your flights to Japan because this ANA flight from New York/JFK to Haneda was the correct way to go. Japanese-style hospitality, respect and quality of service (which is beyond the heavens) shows from check-in to landing (and even post-landing.) The in-flight meals, inspired by Japanese recipes of the Japanese destination or origin, were finely made - that goes even for Economy Class. When there was a delay that was ultimately out of their control, they made things right with post-landing arrangements. Never take any other country's airline when flying into Japan - always always ALWAYS take ANA whenever you can. (Avoid codeshares, too!!)"

You would think they could find some combination of a middle & window by moving a couple of single travelers but NO. Kept saying that it was a full flight so no go. It's not like we demanded an aisle seat. Just left a "bad taste in my mouth". Not the ANA service that I am used too."

Voordelen: "The flight attendants treat passengers as valued guests. The check-in clerk gave me an exit row with extra leg room without me requesting it and without charge. Average time that you need to be at security ahead of your domestic flight = 15 minutes! As with everything in Japan, flight left on time."
Nadelen: "The connection time of 1.5 hours with my flight to Canada was a bit short. I had time to get through security at Narita, find the right gate, visit the facilities, and buy a bottle of water and that's all."

Nadelen: "Queued up with other Star Gold etc. customers (they have 2 queues, one for Diamond and one for other statuses). There's a sign on a pole. People queue up, then they swivel the pole round so I'm in the wrong queue now. Try to move, lose place in queue, they swivel it back the way it was... Good airline but boarding especially for domestic is disorganised with poor signage etc."

Nadelen: "It wasn't such a bad experience for me but the plane did have a mechanical failure and the part was not in stock in Cambodia so had to be flown in. That resulted in a 24 hour delay. The ANA staff were excellent and did take care of us well."

Voordelen: "Friendly and helpful staff. I was carrying medication that needed to be in a cool box. A flight attendant provided me with ice cubes wrapped in plastic bag and paper towel. She checked with me from time to time to ensure that the medication was kept in the proper temperature during the flight. That was first class service and I couldn't thank her enough."

They start boarding but do not open the doors of the plane so everybody has to wait long in the tunnel to access the plane. It would be better not to start boarding."

Nadelen: "The airline lost our luggage which in turn made us lose our connecting flight to Chicago. The staff did not help and the manager kept walking off to assist other people while in the middle of conversation! We could have made our flight of they were a bit more helpful and attentive. The staff was very unprofessional, extremely rude and ignored our concerns of not being able to sit with our 7year old daughter, at least one of us! They found us a flight to Seattle which then connected to Chicago but expected us to pay for the plane tickets since they denied responsibility for having lost our luggage. They said it was our fault we missed our flight. It was such a terrible experience for my family."

Nadelen: "The seats we’re little bit tights also the food wasn’t so Good because not for foreigners taste it’s chinese way."

Voordelen: "Everything was clean and well appointed. The air attendants were helpful and friendly. The seat was fine and they provide a nice little back pillow & blanket in economy. The food was tasty and simple which is good for long flights. Not overly salted. I found it to be a satisfying experience in economy."

Voordelen: "Food was quite good and there were plenty of TV and movie options to choose from. Little perks like warm washcloths before meals and a packet with slippers, an eye mask and a a toothbrush were a nice touch for an economy seat. Staff had a very helpful attitude."

Nadelen: "I dint know i needed a chinese visa to travel to shanhai, My flight began on denver then seattle and from seattle i wasnt able to fly to china. I received no help at all, all they did was cancel my booking not received any kind of refund and i got stuck in seattle, i had to buy new tickets to go back to denver after losing my flights and not getting a dime back, this is unacceptable!"

Voordelen: "The crew was attentive and caring. It was a relaxed flight."

Nadelen: "The announcements regarding turbulence were more disturbing than the turbulence.... It was just too loud"

Nadelen: "No entertainment. Food was much worse than my flight on Hainan last year."

Voordelen: "Service, fluency of flight attendants,flight and boarding was good. Seats were ok on comfort. Price for airline was affordable for me. Long flight, had a good selection of food , included a full menu for passengers to choose from. In-flight announcements in dual languages . Airline was on time."
Nadelen: "I didn't like the monitors for entertainment , was a little slow and not high tech enough to respond to finger touch screen."

Nadelen: "Hot on plane, late flight!"

Voordelen: "The flight was delayed in 2 days. Instead of a direct flight to Tel Aviv, We were flown from Beijing Brussel and to Tel Aviv. We were housed in a shabby hotel room without a window with the strong smell of cigarettes"

Voordelen: "Flight was canceled but didn't know it because of internet restrictions in China. Communication throughout the entire 13 hour ordeal of trying to get to Beijing and getting another flight to the United States was poor. Observation is that international flights seem much better than domestic fligbts."
Nadelen: "Communication."

Voordelen: "Never left the airport."
Nadelen: "I am still in Bejing two days later"

Voordelen: "Restrooms were always clean - a nice surprise and very different from most international flights. Return flight from Beijing was very empty - lots of room to stretch out. Free room in Beijing due to cancelled flight"
Nadelen: "Return flight from Beijing was late, outbound flight from Beijing to Urumqu was cancelled"

Nadelen: "FLight was delayed and transfer desk was unable to manage"

Nadelen: "Wifi is not available. It said wifi is available but later I was told only the business seats or higher level seats can enjoy it. 2h Delay without any compensation which made me go to U.S.A. without my baggage."

Voordelen: "It is nice to provide free accommodation to passengers who need to spend long hours between flights. This shows Hainan Airlines really cares about the customers."

Voordelen: "Nothing."
Nadelen: "Went to check in early and was informed that a visa was required to enter mainland China. Was not informed of this when I left San Diego with a final destination point of Beijing. Was not allowed to board flight at all. Should have been informed upon booking flight what travel documents would be required to complete the flight. Staff was nice enough trying to help reconcile the issue but the it was too late"

Voordelen: "They fed you a lot. This plane also had a USB charger for phone, etc."
Nadelen: "Both flights were delayed. From Chicago 3 hours. From Beijing to Guangzhou 2 hours. Also flight from Guangzhou to Beijing on Sunday night 3 hours"

Voordelen: "Business class. New airplane. The flight arrived reasonably on time. Pleasant staff."
Nadelen: "Business class. Staff not experienced, not trained, Incapable of delivering the service on an orderly basis. Staff had to be constantly reminded of Order. I have written to the company. It is interesting that the company gets a B787 but buys seats that are two generations ago. Not as comfortable as the competition outside mainland China."

Voordelen: "No issues. Better than China Eastern by far. Boarding chaotic. Crew attentive."

Voordelen: "Cabin crew very professional"
Nadelen: "Checked 2 bags in Guangzhou. Waited over 1 hour in Beijing for bags. Only the smaller bag arrived. Baggage check desk says the larger bag did not get on plane because malfunction of computer tag. My missing bag will come on next flight to Beijing but will not make it in time for my departing plane to Seattle per baggage clerk. A missing bag was filed w Hainan Air. No attempt was made to correct the situation by Hainan. Alaska air was much more helpful even though the situation was caused by Hainan!"

Nadelen: "Delayed flight made me stay over night at Beijing, I'm wasting one more day here. BYW I need claim my bag every time and recheck my baggage agian for my continue flight even it's also Hainan airlines"

Voordelen: "The service and food was really good. I fly overseas 2-3x per year and it was one of my best flights ever. The 787 Dreamliner is great and shortest Asia to Seattle flight I have ever experienced ( Shanghai to Seattle)."

Voordelen: "best food and drink than any other airline that I took and air crew are very friendly."

Voordelen: "Big plane, nice Crew"

Nadelen: "The plane was small. It was a quick flight though."

Voordelen: "The Crew was great. Friendly and attentive."
Nadelen: "Very small seat. Had a big person next to me and was quite uncomfortable"

Voordelen: "I really enjoyed the ease of boarding and how smooth the flight went. The airline crew was friendly and the food was great."
Nadelen: "I wish that I was informed ahead of time that SAS GO LITE flights do not include check-in baggage. I ended up paying $109 instead of $60 because I was unaware that the fees change the day of departure. This upset me."

Voordelen: "Calm, friendly and professional crew, good food and spotlessly clean aircraft."
Nadelen: "Disorganized boarding. People were jumping the line saying they were in the zone that was called when they couldn’t have been. I was there early (one of the 1st) but because I’m polite and only approached the gate when my zone was called, ended up at the back. More monitoring of this would help because I saw other people bothered by this."

Nadelen: "Seats weren't that comfortable."

Voordelen: "The food was amazing"

Nadelen: "Missed connecting flight from Copenhagen to Geneva since flight from Newark left over an hour late.. They booked me on a flight to Zurich and then to Geneva. Had a connection to France booked separately that I had to move."

Voordelen: "- Seats are fairly comfy (as much as one can hope for an economy seat) - Excellent meals. I'm impressed that I'm getting things like ganache and cold-pressed juice in airline snacks!"
Nadelen: "- Wish the entertainment/movie selection was better, or that the foreign films had subtitles,"

Nadelen: "Rerouted without consultaton - added an extra leg to my trip including a necessary mad dash to catch the make-up flight."

Nadelen: "Was overlooked by the pursor a couple times - he probably had a lot on his plate. Also, the "snack" at the end of the trip was sorely lacking! Especially for a 7 hour flight. The bathrooms were gross & out of toilet paper. And it seemed like one was locked constantly...?"

Voordelen: "Crew was considerate, friendly and accommodating . Meals were quite nice as flight fare goes. And the variety of films to watch were great. Two thumbs up, SAS !"

Nadelen: "Delayed flight, missed connection, lost baggage."

Nadelen: "Par contre, c'est une seule boisson par personne le reste est payant, les repas sont très moyens et le système de divertissement est très très mauvais. Les contenus sont vieux et l'application est très lente et pa réactive du tout."

Nadelen: "No food service whatsoever. Not even a bag of pretzels or peanuts. You have to pay for soft drinks. Really? A can of soda costs less than 50 cents. Bathrooms were not cleaned at all. Soap dispenser was empty for the entire duration of the flight. No entertainment."

Voordelen: "Fast flight, drank some coffee."
Nadelen: "It was a quick flight, nothing much to say."

Voordelen: "Plane was clean, flight staff was friendly."
Nadelen: "No problems!"

Nadelen: "I was unable to check in over the mobile app nor online. Had to do everything at the ticket desk in both the US and overseas. Made me feel as though I didn't have a reservation in the system."

Voordelen: "This was one of the best airlines we've flown. Great food, plenty of room, friendly stewardesses and good service overall. We will definitely try to book with SAS again."
Nadelen: "Nothing. There was nothing to not like. In fact they fed us too much!"

Voordelen: "Two 20-something young ladies tried to figure out system, individual issues while rest of us stood and watched versus passing through loading area. In addition, delayed due to short handed baggage loading crew. Flight was one hour late departing. Luggage did not make connecting flight to London. No wifi either."
Nadelen: "Smooth flight."

Nadelen: "Not water for children."

Voordelen: "Technically, since the first leg of my flight was changed I no longer flew this route, but it was through the same airlines and they fixed my issues no problem."

Nadelen: "1) on the plane, they announced a choice of two meals and I enquired why did I get one without choice and they told me the second choice was an option only for 'economy plus' !! That was a rude situation....I felt cheated and then insulted . 2) CPH - Nice : The breakfast or the included orange drink gave me an upset stomach and bad case of Hemorroides. 3) I accepted a glass of tomatoe juice and when I asked for a coke with my lunch , the stewardess said I had only right to one drink and would have to pay the rest....really ? - wine used to be free and now a glass costs $4...really ?? 4) I arrived at CPH airport for my transfer .. the flight was yet not on the screen but no one gave any instruction and no officials of any kind were around to enquire....a cleaning crew finally directed me correctly. 5) the security line in New York to board was ridiculously long...someone shouted to take off our smelly shoes...really ?? 6) most were directed to the right with four snaking unending lines to one security check . From time to time others were directly directed ed to the left where there was no line and option of two security checks. Half way through my wait , most were directed to the left and all who were 'late', were let out first to their gate. The whole experience before, on the plane and after was not worth the money...least of all a pleasant one."

Nadelen: "Check-in was slightly confusing to know where you had to go."

Nadelen: "I did not like my flight because ... I could not take it! I needed to change only one date (return) and was quoted $1300 for that one change. Getting a completely new ticket was cheaper, but not cheap. With such cost of even minor changes, next time I will look into booking directly with airlines, instead of Kayak; sorry to say that, as I really liked using your service."

Nadelen: "A very dishonest experience. The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. I am very disappointed to be 'tricked' in this way and consider it a very dishonest business practice."

Voordelen: "The cleanliness"
Nadelen: "I Had checked several times to make sure I had 2 bags included ( standard for US-EU flights) and every time. At the airport I had to pay an extra charge for my second bag which made the flight very expensive and just ruined the whole experience for me"

Voordelen: "New airbus with good entertainment screenset clean"
Nadelen: "Delays on boarding (on departing as well as returning home) Damaged luggage"

Voordelen: "No problems, great crew, easy check in and on time!"

Nadelen: "No food, no entertainment. Bring a book."

Voordelen: "Fine, uneventful flight."
Nadelen: "My luggage was lost. They are unable to track it. If it is not found within five days, then they gave me a number to call. I'm very unhappy."

Nadelen: "Retard + re-booking de notre vol sans explication, ni possibilité de trouver facilement des informations à ce sujet"

Voordelen: "Boarded in a downpour, crew got us on board quickly through a rear door. Unfortunately, weather caused a significant delay, but who can control the weather? :-)"
