Nadelen: "Seats were not adjustable. It may be that I was in front of the exit row, but I looked and didn't see anyone leaning back anywhere. On the other hand, flight was only 1 hr 20 minutes."
Voordelen: "The Rwandair plane was modern and clean. Kigali airport has a nice cafe, and check-in was efficient. The plane left a few minutes early."
Nadelen: "Check-in closes one hour before your flight. Economy class: Food was a clingwrapped sandwich. The attendant gave me two bottles of a good South African wine. Security has gotten quite uptight at Kigali airport. They now stop your cab a couple hundred meters short of the airport, and have a dog check the vehicle. You have to pass through another security checkpoint at the entry to the airport building, and a third security into the boarding area. The final security check even takes away any empty bottles you have. And don't take any fingernail scissors in your handcarry, even if they have blunt points. You may have an hour or more wait in preboarding, and without water or bathroom excess. So takke care of these needs in advance."
Nadelen: "This airline is an operational nightmare. I purchased a ticket with a connection, and the second flight being a codeshare, two months in advance. On the day of travel, I checked in, checked two bags, and headed to the gate. An hour before the flight, a Rwandaair agent approached me to inform me that they were no longer code sharing with precision air, the second flight. Chaos ensued, my bags got lost, I got stuck in Nairobi, etc. in Nairobi, one of the Kenya airways agents literally said to me 'avoid Rwandaair and precision airlines - they are both airlines that do not follow any regulations, and not just operational, but safety as well.'"

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed, causing me to miss a connecting flight. Boarding was a bit confusing as multiple flights were departing from Kigali airport at the same time and same airline. Information was not conveyed clearly and it might have been easy to begin boarding the wrong flight."

There was no food offered (the flight is 45 minutes) and there is no entertainment available. The crew was pleasant and the seat comfortable (I am 5'11). I would fly again with RwandAir."

Plus, continuous strikes in Belgium see a joke, check-in luggages delayed for plenty of airlines. This country doesn't even know what strike mean anymore being so often..."

Nadelen: "The security was rude when we were getting into our gate. They humiliated a man because he didn't understand their accent. There was a group of young employees and they came off as very immature. There was a crying baby next to me for the majority of the 13 hours. They ran out of food, and I had no choice but to eat the pasta option even though I do not eat pasta in my normal life. My knees hurt from not having space to stretch out for such a long flight. It was freezing cold and they did not have extra blankets. It felt like my section kept getting skipped over for everything (food, liquids, general checking in to make sure people were okay). We boarded late, and left late. When I arrived the luggage took VERY long - almost an hour - to come out."

Nadelen: "This 13 hours and 5 minutes flight was extremely hot. Regardless of how many times we've asked the flight attendants to make it cooler for us, nothing changed. By the time, we get off my shirt was soaking wet. Imagine flying for so long under these conditions. What an horrible customer service!"
Voordelen: "Delicious food, amenities kit with socks, slippers, earplugs, toothpaste and more, fantastic entertainment system, power plugs and USB plugs at every seat."
Nadelen: "The laptop on board ban is a mess. As we were flying to the US, we had to go through literally 4 security checks one after the other. Then, all of our electronics (laptop, camera, even headphones) other than our phones had to be taken. As everyone had to go through it , this delayed our flight by 1 hour. When we landed, we waited literally 1.5h before they started handing out our electronics. All in all, it took me 4 hours to leave the airport."

Nadelen: "Flight was canceled. The disorganization and misinformation was unprecedented. I have been traveling for 30 years and tried almost all airlines, but the Turkish Airline office at Cairo Airport ranked the poorest I have ever seen. The disorganization was as if they do not know what to do. First they said the plane arrived late, then they said there was a bird hitting the engine. The excuses were so laughable beyond belief."

Nadelen: "Kenyan airways do not care about customers and inconvenience they are facing. We were suppose to arrive Dar at 7:30 pm and instead now we will arrive at 1:30 am on 28th Jan 2020."
Nadelen: "The issue was not the flight. It was the cancellation policy. I had a best friend suddenly die and I could not apply a credit to future travel on my 4000$ business class seat. It makes me not want to buy through kayak again."

Nadelen: "The plane boarded at 9:30am and then we sat on the tarmac for 5 hours waiting for a new pilot. We were not fed, or told how long it ws going to take. After 5 hours, we finally took off, but were not offered food for another two hours. The 11.5 hour flight turned into a 16 hour flight..."

Nadelen: "Kenya changed my flight to two hours later 18 hours before I was to leave. Making me have a 10 minute connection. Then after an hour in a airline office they promised to hold my connection. When my flight landed on time, they did not hold my connection. So they changed my flight and didn’t follow through on the fix. We would now miss wedding activities and business meetings. Then my partner got sick and they refused to taxi us to hotel for the night but take a bus that leaves every three hours. Her sickness got worse and there was a Kenyan airlines doctor who evaluated her at the airport after waiting 40 minutes laying at check in with her crying due to pain. We had a medical release from the doctor saying she needed extra space to lay down but the check in manager refused to make room for her saying the flight is full and she would not upgrade her to accommodate the medical release because we had an economy ticket. My partner looked so bad that the flight crew considered kicking us off but eventually made the space for her to lay down and were helpful on the flight. This is this disgraceful and the worst experience I’ve had with any company."

Nadelen: "Food which was the same as previous flight. We, at back, were told there was only the vegetarian option left for breakfast. We all declined. Later we were brought non-vegetarian food ie had a 'poached egg' on it. This was marginally better. Also, I couldn't use 'entertainment' as connection in arm rest bad. Occasionally, on testing, it worked briefly."

Nadelen: "Late departures, unscheduled stop for crew, and baggage not making new flights made me miss two transfer flights. Closed sales kiosk in Johannesburg unable to get an hotel and meal vouchers. Sales lady was rude the next day. Arrived Cape Town over 24 hours late."
Voordelen: "The flight was short."
Nadelen: "There was no clarity on baggage allowance on either leg of the flight. This created a situation in which I was charged two different amounts of extra baggage and given bad information on both the departure and return trip. It was also unclear that, though we'd purchased a Kenyan Airlines round-trip between Nairobi and Zanzibar, the outbound leg was operated by Precision Air. This was not indicated on our e-tickets. We found out at the airport."

Voordelen: "I was surprised at how good the food was. Really surprised to run into someone I knew from a previous trip to Kenya. She was assisting a handicapped person, so don't know if she worked for Kenya Airways or the airport. Unfortunately, there was no time to talk."
Nadelen: "The flight was 5 hours late, we were not informed while waiting or why it was late. It was very frustrating, especially that Nairobi airport has no free wifi. Kenya Airways is not to the standards of other Sky Team companies."

Screens are really annoying, most people don't know how to turn them off and they run advertisements all night long, nobody from the crew cares. Wifi app wouldn't stream anything on my phone. Im really sad that I will have to have the same night flight back to Houston."

Went to check in and the carrier said sorry you can’t board United did not book you. The voucher just has prior info and this flight time. So we missed getting on that flight 3 total hours on the phone with United and they did nothing but put us on hold. Thank you to Brussels air who finally after many years and frustration helped us so we could leave. More than 10 hours later than we should have. Horrible experience and we lost a day of vacation and pre paid plans for the evening I will never use kayak again for international flights. As that was part of the problem per United (probably BS but won’t ever risk it again) and will never use United airlines again as their customer service and lack of caring showed that companies true colors. I hope the rest of this dream vacation is better than this nightmare was."

Nadelen: "First of all, my flight had no option to plug my cellphone, there was no TV screen and no WiFi.. they served some loaf of bread cut in half with some spices inside and called it dinner! But the most disappointing thing is the fact is that they LOST BOTH OF MY LUGGAGE BAGS, and the most they could offer me is $50 compensation (my belongings worth thousands of dollars) And even this I would have to claim from my “home country” which is completely unreasonable as my home country isn’t the one lost my luggage, the airlines had! Beyond shocked, disappointed and aggravated, this was my first time flying this airlines and I promise you it’s the last. Won’t recommend to anyone."
