Virgin Australia contatcted out their flight from SJC to LAX through Delta and Delta cancelled flights becaue no-show of Pilot to operate the plan. What a Joke???? We asked them to put us through another carrier to LAX for connecting flight they refused.Very very BAD. It was a big miss for us.. never again Delta/Virgin Australia.............."

They blocked the escalator with a giant gate sign. People waited in line at a snack for over 20 mins for a bite to eat that was express food or a choice of 5 sandwiches that came hot that actually sucked not worth the money at all. People were pissed! I was looking forward to a nice meal for my layover but that definitely did not happen! They only came around once with drinks on a 6 hour flight, then twice for coffe and tea. When I asked for a sprite they said they ran out of things completely"

This not only made the 9 hour flight uncomfortable, but even more so when the person in front of me reclined their seat fully. - I understand it's Aer Lingus' policy, but I have never experienced--in my many travels--paying for alcohol on an international flight, especially cash only. - Regarding the above, I had to remind the flight attendant three times that she owed me change, and each time I was greeted with a sneer and, "Yea, we don't have it yet". It was not so much the money, but the incredibly rude service and charging for what should be a free drink! Some of the stewards (on the opposite side of the aisle) seemed very friendly and accommodating, but unfortunately, the two ladies on my side made me feel like a burden rather than a welcomed customer. - I guess it's, you get what you pay for...but I was just surprised at "breakfast" being tossed a box with a burrito--no napkin, utensils, plate, nothing. I won't be flying Aer Lingus again."

À bord, le personnel a fait le nécessaire mais pas plus, service peu chaleureux et minimaliste. Le débarquement s’est fait avec une navette, comme à Mirabel dans le temps, et comme il n’y avait qu’une seule navette à la porte arrière, le processus a êté laborieux."
Nadelen: "I had to pay for extra luggage, because though I paid for an Economy Standard ticket which does come with checked-in baggage, there was nothing written on my ticket to prove it. I paid for the standard ticket ahead of time specifically. Although the staff were nice enough, for a struggling student, this mix-up was unacceptable. I now find myself making calls and trying to get in contact with both Kayak and Icelandair for a refund of the 88euro. I think I was particularly unlucky, because I was picked twice for special security checks, which pulled me out of the line I was waiting in while the flight was delayed, and I had to re-enter the line at the end. Though I requested window seats, I did not receive one either time (though I knew it wasn't guaranteed). The seats were also uncomfortable with a thick unadjustable headrest; and the air quality was terrible, a bit smelly and very dry. As a frequent flyer (who does fly with icelandair occasionally) this was unusual."
Nadelen: "I was not given the option to select checked baggage when I checked in online. I was then charged 176 Euros to check my bags. Then my luggage was lost. I still don’t have it. Flight was late. Iceland airport needs to enlarge their airport with more ramps, or schedule their flights in a way that they can handle the crowds better. Having to ride busses to and from the plane to terminal multiple times is exhausting."

Nadelen: "After sitting on the plane for an hour, they told us to deplane. Once deplaned, we waited for nearly 20 minutes for direction to go to baggage claim and then ticketing. Ticketing did nothing to help anyone. No hotel accommodations, no redirecting of flights, NOTHING at 9:00pm. They instructed everyone without using the computer or phone, to come back tomorrow and stated that our connecting flights would be available (even though they are not). Just had to spend $3000+ on a last minute flight because once in Iceland, I would be stuck with no connecting flight."

Voordelen: "The flight was late, and then after we'd finally boarded, approximately 45 minutes after the intended time, they announced that they had to unload all of the baggage to find some bags for customers who were not going to make the journey. It took almost another hour to unload, locate, and reload the baggage, during which time we all just sat onboard and waited. To the pilot's credit, he was out on the tarmac w the ground crew trying to move things along, but it still was a very annoying and lengthy delay. Once we got moving, the flight was fine, and the blankets were high quality!"

Not one person in the crew was able to tell us why we were delayed or even where to stand. Seats were uncomfortable. Blankets were unavailable going to SEA, but available when going to KEF."

Nadelen: "Tiny seats (average sized male here - trust - they are tiny) All food is charged (not a single piece of free food was offered; $8/sandwich) Lost luggage - I've never dealt with airline personnel (in person & over phone) that displayed such a level of apathy. Compensation ceiling: $99. They apologized about the incident as if they were sorry that it was raining that day - not losing 2 pieces of luggage and not having any means to track them. Check-in personnel: They only gave me a single luggage tag for 3 pieces of luggage - they should have given me 3. Would have made tracing lost luggage easier. Employee @ IAD told me that if I didn't show up at the boarding gate 40 minutes prior to boarding that they would remove my luggage from airplane and that I could risk losing flight (wtf?). Icelandair is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. They may offer rates 20% cheaper than other major carriers, but that discount accompanies a steep price. It's an airline run by inexperienced, lackluster, apathetic staff who, frankly, have no business operating an airline. If your options are flying with a major carrier vs Icelandair - and the price difference is a few hundred $: pay the extra money; you'll be glad you did. Icelandair's prices are not low enough to justify all the discomforts and liabilities which accompany them. Look elsewhere. Keep this in mind: I'm a seasoned flyer. This airlines barely ranks one notch up from Ryanair."

Nadelen: "There was no sense of urgency to get the plane in the air. Our connecting flight was late and we had to rush to the connection flight. When we got on board we then sat on the tarmac for an hour because the fuel truck ran out of gas on its way to fill our plane. The crew seemed to have never worked on an airplane before and the plane needed updates. Food or snacks should be provided on longer flights like other airlines."
Nadelen: "When we arrived in Reykjavik from Munich we had 45 min to make our next flight. We were able to make it to our gate in time but once we got to our gate it was a mad house. The airport is fairly small and Icelandair was trying to board 4 other flights to the states at the same time as ours. We had to push and shove to get to our gate to board. Not sure why they didn't spread out the gates of the boarding planes."

Voordelen: "We didn’t make the flight from London to Rome because of flight delays. there was a huge time delay with our plane sitting on at the terminal and unable to de-board due to scheduling errors. This delay prevented us from making our connection to our next flight and now we are staying in a mediocre hotel for the night and have to wake super early and miss a day of fun at our final desitination. In general I would just move on, but we heard the customer service agent reference that they over booked the two flights to Rome. I guess we were the u lucky customers x two flights because we didn’t get a standby seat in the next flight then the prior agent gave us positive hope that we would get on. Lesson- make sure you have at least 3 hours between connecting flights."

The lines to get vouchers were super long, and the hotel was not the best. It was way after midnight when I got to the hotel, and I did not feel safe staying at a Quality Inn. I had to walk to my room outside, and had leave in the morning in the dark as well. I was traveling alone. Please put your passengers in a better hotel, closer to the airport. I did not expect that from American Airlines."

For those of us gluten-sensitive, watching our glucose levels, or salt intake there’s nothing. A 40 minute gate change from B29 to A11 in PHX was barely long enough to walk far less find and buy a healthy meal. Yet again I arose at 4am and had nothing to eat until after 4pm. ALL the airlines can do better."

Now no mater what other plane I catch idmiss my connection in Dallas. Which means I don’t get to Paris on time. Which ruined my plans to surprise my gf and propose to her. It took one call to British Airlines to get me rebooked. Something american was taking hours. I still won’t make it on time but at least I’ll make it. American then misplaced my luggage and it took two hours to retrieve it. Turns out it was sitting behind the counter the whole time the kept telling me it would be on the baggage flame area."

Nadelen: "Oh man, I have so many things I need to say. I tried giving AA a chance, but compared to when I flew on WestJest two months prior for almost the exact same trip (I flew to San Francisco versus San Jose that time), WestJet was by far more superior in terms of customer service, boarding organization, and friendliness. First of all, what bugged me profusely was the lack of seat selection and the crazy pricing for certain seats. On WestJet, the emergency exit seats were available without any additional cost, yet AA was charging $66 USD to sit there. Furthermore, seats closer to Business class also carried a charge of $25 (or something like that) - ONLY because you get to board sooner. I would understand if there was extra legroom involved, but really, it's just a matter of sitting and getting off before anyone else. If anything, those seats should be given to passengers who have tight connecting flights and need to get off asap. even in those cases, you shouldn't be charging someone almost $30 just so they can make it to their next flight that YOUR company arranged within such a short time frame. But the most annoying thing about my trip with AA was the fact that I had to take out all of my belongings from my carry-on and carry them in my arms because there was no room left in the overhead compartments. Excuse me?? How is there not enough room? So I had to walk with my laptop, my iPad, my Beats headphones, my laptop and iPad charger, amongst other things, in my hands to the aircraft. Thank goodness I found a plastic bag, because otherwise I probably would have lost something expensive on that plane. Furthermore, as I walked to my seat, there was most definitely places that I could have stowed my carry-on luggage in the overhead compartments. You shouldn't let people put things like purses and bags of food in the overhead, when those can be stowed underneath the seats in front."
Nadelen: "The plane had several problems mechanically. After we boarded we spent another hour waiting for the problems to be repaired. It added an extra hour to sitting."
Voordelen: "Although the flight was delayed from San Jose and Chicago yet they reached as per original schedule time"
Voordelen: "Flight boarded on time and landed 30 minutes early. Best part is the gate was open in Chicago so we truly arrived early. Flight crew was great too. Very helpful and courteous."

Nadelen: "- This was an older Boeing 738 plane that American Airlines refurbished. It still has the old style overhead bins and just feels old, - Like on many on these older planes, the power outlets don't work. - No food offered, even for Executive Platinum member. Unpleasant crew."
Voordelen: "Legroom was decent and the flight was fairly empty. So lot of space."
Nadelen: "No vegetarian food though it was mentioned earlier."
Voordelen: "Smooth sailing. Staff pleasant and professional. Orderly flight"

Nadelen: "Not letting me know my first leg was operated by AA was very confusing and frustrating. I couldn't find Westjet at the airport at all. Had to guess from the departing time!"
Voordelen: "Boarding was fine. We started late but they managed to get us to our destination on time so I made my connection with no problem."
Nadelen: "I had on a jacket but I was so cold I was shivering. I asked if I could have a blanket but I guess they don't have those anymore. The stewardess did ask them to give us a little more heat but it must have gotten turned back because I was shivering again by the end of the flight."
Voordelen: "The gate agent was able to find me another option."
Nadelen: "The phone agent was really bad at helping."
Nadelen: "The flight was not smooth, it seemed like the pilot didn't know what he was doing. I arrived an hour early for my flight and my bag got left behind. I'm only here for a day and a half and my bag won't reach me for another 24 hours. Really poor experience with AA."
