Nadelen: "I was taken by surprise that I could not take my SLR camera on board as carry-on luggage and had to check it (they were doing this to everyone, not just me and it covered laptops, kindles, cameras, etc - everything electronic except phones). This was not done on the flight into Dubai. Also irritating was when I got to Boston, an Emirates guy cut open the packing envelope open and in the process, accidentally sliced the camera neck strap. He was, however, very apologetic and eagerly got me the info needed to submit a claim to Emirates."

Nadelen: "- Crew not very attentive with infant and infant needs (i.e. bassinet). - Only 2 full meals and 1 snack for a 15 hours flight. First meal (breakfast) was served about 2-3 hours after take-off. Flight took off at 10 am so perhaps first meal should have been lunch. - Heard another passenger requesting veg. meal but crew said they don't have any extras and only serve special meals for those who request before. For a flight in which 60-70% of passengers are Indians, some extra vegetarian meals should be available (for those who do not know how to book it in advance)."

Nadelen: "The crew didn't warn us that they would be collecting the Emirates provided headphones during their final "prepare for landing" check of the cabin... so I was near the end of a movie and sans headphones! WTF? And because the fasten seat belt sign was on in preparation for landing, I couldn't fish through my carry on in the overhead compartment to find the ones I'd brought. Thats SUPER sh*tty to your customers. Just not ok!"

Nadelen: "My last leg, Dubai to Geneva was not booked as code share with Quantas but, by Quantas, as Emerates directly. This meant that I got no milage credit for the flight. Grrrr."

Nadelen: "Food is outdated. Menu is not based on nutrition. The pizza served at end of flight is terrible. It should be replaced with a high protein snack. Food is tilted heavily towards carbohydrates and main entree is about 25 percent less than it should be. If the menu evolves a bit to include slightly larger portions, more fiber , protein, vitamins and minerals , it would be a true 5 star experience. Other than food, I rate this flight and experience 5 stars ."

Nadelen: "The crew was not enough for so many people, they looked stressed and some of them were not very nice. The seat spaces were too small for such a long trip (13 hrs) + we had 1 hour delay in Dubai."

Nadelen: "Virgin website is slow and not intuitive. Couldn't get seat assignment until i was at the gate. No explanation why. Boarding announcements delivered via ESP. Half of the passengers were still in the boarding area because no one heard announcements. Arrived 30 min early but had to wait on the tarmac for 45 min for a parking gate. Baggage delivery at JFK took forever."

Voordelen: "My flight was canceled and Virgin Atlantic gave us a free room in the hotel Ramada. My next flight was at 18:55 and I asked Virgin Atlantic agent am I allowed to stay in the room until time for my flight comes, he confirmed yes and gave me breakfast, lunch, and dinner voucher. However, next day around 12 I got call from Front Desk that I have to leave my room right away because it's time to chack out and If I want to stay longer I have to pay. I called Virgin Atlantic agancy again and the agent run my information and said to me I can stayin the room longer. After that I called front desk to confirm that but they said they didn't hear anything from Virgin Atlantic and I have to leave the room by 1pm. All of this was really unpleasant!"
Nadelen: "I didn't like anything. I didn't like the communication between Virgin Atlantic with travelers, communication between Virgin Atlantic and hotel Ramada. Everything was really poorly."

Voordelen: "Must be a coincidence only... But was lucky to have 3 seats all for myself as the plane was underbooked. Would have given them 4 of 5 if not for the 3 hr flight delay."

Nadelen: "I booked together with my wife, yet we were allocated seats apart and were not able to be reassigned together. The leg room was so tight that I could not pick up things off the floor without putting my head in the next persons lap. Though the cabin crew were smiley and friendly, it was hard to get their attention when needed. The PA system is much louder than the entertainment, so announcements were ear bursting. The dinner selections ran out early, so a good proportion did not get their choice."

Nadelen: "At check in the name on my reservation read Ron, not Ronald which is on my passport. The second agent I was referred to was unpleasant and charging $100. Had same problem out of Seoul but there was no charge for the ticket change. My interaction with the second agent left a very bad taste in my mouth."

Voordelen: "A large selection of movies, shows and music to choose from. Flight crews were attentive and friendly."
Nadelen: "The narrow space between each rows for passengers to move from their seats."

Nadelen: "The planes are old and tired, new 787s on this route are long overdue. Thomson's premium service is an improved offering over Virgin and offers more inclusive extras such as lounge access. There is no wonder wall on the 747 only a wonder "basket" If you are flying from Gatwick, upgrading to premium isn't worth it. Go to upper class or fly with another airline. Check in was quicker for Economy passengers and it proved a challenge to work past the economy passengers during boarding to get to the premium agent."

Voordelen: "Did not take the flight in the end"
Nadelen: "My first leg flight was delayed and I booked through kayak on two different airlines and the first airline did not communicate with the second airline so 5 passengers ran to make the change and arrived 1 min after the jetbridge to get on the plane was pulled away. It was incredible frustrating and could have very easily been avoided with communication from the airlines"

Voordelen: "I wish I knew the name of the crew on this flight so that credit is given where it's due. A female steward was incredibly kind to me. She allowed me space to cry in the back of the aircraft, and also gave me her personal tissues. Her care is the only reason I'd give this flight an 'okay.'"
Nadelen: "Unlike the incredibly kind woman, another woman on the crew was incredibly rude to me and to other passengers on the plane. She was very obviously annoyed with nearly everything on that flight. The restrooms were beyond disgusting. I have never flown on a flight with a restroom that awful; it smelled horrible and was filthy. It was reminiscent of a portable outhouse, no exaggeration. The pillow on my seat had makeup on it."

Nadelen: "Entertainment screens were of poor quality"

Voordelen: "My flight was delayed boarding, Entertainment wasn't exciting oppose to other Virgin flights I have taken in previous years. Food wasn't great. I had teriyaki chicken with rice and I left it. Big dislike - when I was checking in online I found some economy seats I couldn't allocate for my seating due to additional charge applies. I think this is very off putting as I have been a Virgin member for years and it is very disappointing."
Nadelen: "I liked the Airbus carrier which had only two seats (window and Isle) on each sides oppose to three. It felt more comfortable."

Voordelen: "Getting to Barbados from Manchester airport is convenient"
Nadelen: "The light weight on a long haul flight do not work anything over four hours you need some form of comfortability and virgin got it wrong with the seats .. yes I know the industry is all about making and saving money but you also need to Remember that most of this flight you will be sat down for"

Nadelen: "Problème incroyable quand cest acheté avec Virgin et opéré par Air canada... est vous capable de vous entendre sur la meme chose ?? Jai couru 1:30 h pour que mes bagage embarque sur ce vol ... pu jamais"

Voordelen: "The people at Check-in were fantastic - found out you have to check-in more than an hour before flight. They close an hour before to taking bags for international flights. Although right at an hour was late, they reopened for us."

Nadelen: "You lost our luggage. We were able to pick up our luggage after the Sydney flight, but they never made it to Minneapolis. What I don't understand is why we were not able to get boarding passes and seat assignments when we did our check-in in Sydney? Why is that so hard? Also, when we were getting our boarding pass in LAX it was so confusing when it asked for checked bags. Our bags were already on a belt going to who knows where - were we supposed to check "yes"? If we had a boarding pass this would not have been an issue."

Voordelen: "very incompetent crew carrying out orders for a very cheap airline."
Nadelen: "There was nothing to like, attendants were rude, seating was horrible, No room, no snacks, counter persons were even worse, tried to contact virgin australia over 12 times for booking confirm and itinerary, no replies ever, none from HQ in Brisbane. Virgin has NO customer service whatsoever, all they want is to take your money online and do nothing for paying customers. "Paying Customer", remember who we are??? The ones that pay for the worst service in the world. Well done Richard Branson!!"

Le personnel de bord disparaît après le service du repas et ce, pour le restant du vol. Les rideaux séparateurs restent ouverts! Quant au confort des sièges, n’en parlons même pas! Dur sur les fesses, le dos, les jambes et le sommeil! Bref, cette classe n’a plus rien de premium!"

Nadelen: "The 2 bathrooms in the rear are VERY narrow. I'm average size and barely fit. Also, the waiting area in terminal 3 at LAX is very crowded and noisy and the options for charging portable devices is minimal. I will definitely avoid Delta if I have to go through LAX."

Voordelen: "The flight itself was fine. We had a two-hour delay due to a mechanical issue, but the crew took care of it as quickly as they could."

Voordelen: "I have used Kayak for years without issue. This time I was flying SAS for the first time. The plane broke and so that was the first huge delay SAS had terrible customer service. They reminded me several times that I was not a preferred customer and that I had bought my ticket through kayak. This is the reason they gave for lack of help. It was frustrating to say the least. I’m not sure how they expect to gain repeat customers if they treat first time customers like that."

Nadelen: "It was so cold on the plane with most people including grown men with blankets wrapped up to their neck! I understand the crew moves a lot so want it cold but maybe there’s a happy medium? The cold snack sandwich with cheese and spread of some sort was awful. The main meal was better but not as good as some others I’ve had."

Voordelen: "The food and entertainment on board is great. I was very pleased with how they organized the checking of bags and the fact I picked it up at my final destination without any issues and right on time."
Nadelen: "Some of the staff at the check in desks can be very rude. Also, on my initial flight, they closed the check-in early and left many of us stranded without knowing who to talk to and how to manage to get on the plane. When someone from SAS finally came, I was told I would be escorted through security and most into the plane but then the "manager" or whoever was in charge denied it. The plane did not leave for another our and instead of arguing with the costumers they could have just helped us get on the plane. It was unfair of them to close the check in desks early and on top of that to catch a plane the next day they wanted to charge and exorbitant fee. I Wii never fly SAS again."

Nadelen: "I ordered vegetarian from their transfer office at the Copenhagen airport. Days before the return flight yet to chicago they had no record of my vegetarian meal The same transfer desk told me there were no morning flights to amsterdam the next day so they booked me 930pm next day, I found hour later a flight on Dad leaving 6am next morning, had to buy own toclet"

Nadelen: "Par contre, c'est une seule boisson par personne le reste est payant, les repas sont très moyens et le système de divertissement est très très mauvais. Les contenus sont vieux et l'application est très lente et pa réactive du tout."

Voordelen: "I liked the high-tech adjustment on the seats but i am 6ft2, 200 lbs (in good shape) and I have Parkinson's disease. The seat was just not roomy enough and I had to get up at least once an hour."
Nadelen: "The crew was very understanding and kind. The aft head was very limited in space too. A little more room would have been most welcome."

Nadelen: "Only one meal option ( with meat). Alcoholic beverage not included."

Nadelen: "I would have liked more music selections especially calming. OceN sounds or Tibetan bowls etc for overnight flight."

Nadelen: "2+ hrs late on departure, could not confirm follow on connecting flight. Could not select seats online. Airbus aircraft ventilation is weak. Movie selection was inadequate. No "free" alcohol and high prices. Pay WiFi in economy but "free" everywhere else"

Voordelen: "There was nothing positive in this experience. Oh, the flight was safe and no one was injured?"
Nadelen: "Charged for checked bag on international flight. Late departure. Only food was a small cup of water on a 3+ hour, lunch time flight -- not even a bag of pretzels. Late arrival with short connection and flight attendant directed us to wrong gate. When we reached final destination, only one of two checked bags showed up."

Voordelen: "Good leg room. Tasty meals. A good variety of entertainment options."

Nadelen: "No food or entertainment on the short flight ght"

Nadelen: "Checkin was a disaster, girl was not aware of anything she was doing and after over ten minutes of explainatiin she still put me and my bags on a wrong flight. Lady at the boarding gate tried to help and finally managed to send me and my bag in the same flight. Even bigger disappointment was that I booked a business class seat and paid three times more money then a normal economy ticket, there wasn't any business class seat and all seats were occupied in the front rows. Staff was generally rude and not willing to help."

Nadelen: "In-flight entertainment did not work, veggie meal I ordered was not there, and when I asked if I could have one of the extra business class meals, I was told no. I further asked if I could just have some chips from the snack basket and that was met with a death glare from the female flight attendant. All in all, the flight attendants were rude and unwilling to accept any ownership in the poor conditions of this 9 hour flight."

Voordelen: "I was offered pizza and promised to get my money back as I would¨t reach my destination anyway. Still waiting for my enquiry about money,"
Nadelen: "The plane is very old and I¨ve been expecting this to happen. I wish they could set in a modern plane on this distance as the train also don¨t offer a proper connection."

Voordelen: "Service, etc."
Nadelen: "Boarding... the first 20 or so rows were called then "All remaining passengers..." causing considerable pushing, etc. MUST board by sections, etc..."

Nadelen: "Had to pay 70 euro to check 1 bag at the airport!"

Voordelen: "Was able to selct my seat"
Nadelen: "Had to pay €70 to check in luggage - most expensive ive ever seen! No beverages other than coffee and tea abailable, water could be appreciated"
