Nadelen: "Had an 11hr delay overall, 3.5hrs sitting on the tarmac only to be told to disembark for dinner at the airport. Then told that we won't be getting on until 7am the next day, but only really started boarding at 8:30am. By the time we were told about the reschedule to the next morning, it was too late to get a hotel room (too far away) and was told that I could use a 'Quiet Lounge' at the airport (which wasn't quiet). While waiting to board at 7am the next day, ground staff told us that they had to change the plane so there would be a further delay. On boarding, we discovered that it was the SAME PLANE."

The menu choices were amazing and the wine selections were very good. What made the difference was the attentiveness of the cabin crew. I would particularly like to commend the purser and the flight attendants on flight 707 DOH-IAD for their assistance and willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty"
Nadelen: "Flight 707 was supposed to have the new Qsuites in Business Class, so it was disappointing that without prior notice the airline switched to an aircraft with normal (but quite good) business class seating. Nevertheless, the purser and the flight attendants made the flight memorable in a very positive way."

Called qatar airways and send them a xomplaint email. No one cared to answer. The worst flight ever. Will never go with qatar airways anymore"

It would have been nice if I was informed as soon as I landed so I did not have to wait for an hour unnecessarily. And the paperwork to report the missing baggage was totally Chaotic. Whoever barged to the counter and was aggressive got priority and taking down the details and giving us a receipt. This is probably my 5 or 6 flight in Qatar and it seems that you guys are slipping up as Emirates had done. Hope you don't."

Nadelen: "I booked through Budget Air and was initially online able to confirm seats and meals for my husband and I online with Qantas easily. Months out my flight was cancelled and I was rebooked onto a later flight that would have made us miss all of our transfers to our honeymoon on Fitzroy Island. Because I had booked through 'a 3rd party' Qantas refused to assist me. I managed to convince budget air to change our flights. We were moved to a jetstar flight from Melbourne to cairns. I had to confirm that this had occurred and go through multiple people online to reallocate seats and food options for my husband and myself again. Only my luggage allowance was carried across to jetstar and neither of our meal allowances were. When it came to online check-in with jetstar I could not check my husband in online only myself. I spoke to multiple people online who all confirmed they didn't know why or there was no problem and we should just present ID and check in in person. When we got to the airport Qantas had not transferred the e-ticket code across for my husband's booking and this is why we could not check him in online. The jetstar staff had to try to get his original booking code from Qantas. As it turned out I had to original booking code through budget Air in my hand and had to assert this information to staff. Flying back we were able to check in online fine with Qantas. Our boarding passes printed different sizes but did not present a problem when we dropped off our luggage. When we sent to check in the staff member couldn't get the smaller pass to read and my husband had to assert that he also had it on his phone. Despite all of my online conversations the aisle seat was allocated to me and not my husband who required it because of a medical condition and the flight was 30min delayed. We won't be traveling with Qantas or jetstar, or booking through budget Air again."

Flight attendant sounded unprofessional over PA Would like more snacks - savoury and sweet, instead of just savoury. Snack was not sufficient for a 3 hour flight landing at 9pm. Had to wait on plane while airbridge was brought to the plane so everyone could disembark - “they weren’t expecting the flight!!” Whole flight still waiting for luggage after 55 minutes of standing at carousel and only after 55 minutes an announcement to say handlers are tending to a departure and we have to wait another 10 minutes - a whole hour for luggage - take carry on only next time!!!! 4 flights collecting luggage from the one carousel!!"

Nadelen: "The entertaimnet headset socket was faulty and I had to hold the jack in a specific way so I could hear the vocal channels. Sometimes it just dropped out all together. Tried multiple headsets but having the socket and jack on the inside of the armrest where it was so easily knocked by you leg was so incredibly stupid and made it hard to get comfortable or move position in the seat. First time I've ever seen this on a plane. Ok, so Qantas got us there safely but the inflight movies its what makes it bearable."
Nadelen: "The wine costs 6 $, that's cheap but when i pay 400$ for a 2 hours flight, i find it a little hard to pay for a little glass of wine."

Nadelen: "First let me tell you that when I booked a flight to Istanbul from Brussels, I booked, so I thought, the airport called Istanbul Ataturk with the initials of IST. What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"
Voordelen: "I didn't like anything! Extremely disappointed and not planning to fly with Turkish Airline again. I been flying with Lufthansa since April 1993 twice sometime 3 times a year and I don't remember ever being annoyed, disgusted, treated poorly and rudely and disturbed with any of their flights as I was on Turkish Airline! Ms. Meryam was the rudest human being/ female I met so far! Extremely rude , unprofessionally and very unfriendly Ummi G. Gunturk"
Nadelen: "I didn't like anything! My seat was broken, didn't move , the seat arm was broken , TV screen was broken and the crew didn't have the curtesy to even bother to upgrade me to a better seat. Instead the dumped me to the second to the last seat all the way in the way which the seat didn't work either. I been on the broken seat with my neck braces around my neck on (due to a neck injury) for 11 hours and the crew didn't give a damn about me!!"

Voordelen: "The food was delicious. I have never had better airplane food. The movies were super new and interesting. I did not have time in the 11 hours of flying to watch all the movies I wanted to. The flight was also incredibly smooth."
Nadelen: "There were a few small things that could have been better (Which I'll mention), but the worst thing about the flight was the airport. Ataturk Airport is a mess. After the attempted coup, they really upped security, forcing all international flights to go through a second security screening after transferring from another airport. It's understandable but the line moved at a molasses-like speed when I had only 25 minutes to make my connecting flight. The security personnel were rude, as well. Also, when I went to make my connecting gate in Cairo, there was no one at the gate after the required boarding time (Because security had held us up), forcing some of us to board the plane without having anyone to show us onto the plane (Very scary). The flight boarding was chaotic, and no announcements were made about what we were supposed to do. Besides the lack of boarding gates, the only other serious complaint I had against Turkish Airlines (Because it really was great overall) was that the pilots and flight attendants were very hard to understand. I have taught ESL for the past 5 years, and I still had a hard time as an American understanding their English. Also, they frequently didn't understand or misunderstood questions that I would ask them. I've never had a hard time understanding flight attendants on an international flight, but I only understood about 20% of what anyone said over the loud speaker in the plane. And it's nice to be able to understand when the pilot says, "We are experiencing some turbulence and would like everyone to buckle their seatbelts until it passes." Two small things remain: 1. The bathroom trash cans were full on every flight (A small thing but makes everything feel "trashy"). 2. The flight attendants seemed unhappy, and they definitely seemed unhappy to be serving us. I can only assume they are that way because they aren't treated particularly well by their bosses."

Voordelen: "I am so grateful and appreciative towards the staff. My flight was delayed and therefore I was very late to the gate. They let me on the plane - a big thank you! I was also in such a rush that I dropped my passport holder and they picked it up and returned it to me. The food was surprisingly good too. The service during the flight was also very good."

Movie selection on the entertainment system was mediocre, with limited variety of films in general and especially limited variety in languages other than English and Arabic. A problem which I encountered on board was a big gap between the ventilation panel at the base of the wall and the flooring, through which the dessert of my meal fell and which presented the risk of losing further items. I hope this is fixed promptly."

Also, I suggest avoiding long layovers in the Cairo airport. There are few chairs outside the eating areas."

A co passenger was chatting with one of them and she happened to mention that working with people was the worst ever. She’s been with Etihad for 5 years!!!"

Nadelen: "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Instead they just come around asking “Chicken, Lamb or vegetarian”, and lack any real understanding of what’s actually in the food. 6) When you order a drink, they open the can pour some into a cup but don’t give you the remainder in the can. 7) The inflight wifi is expensive. 19.95 USD for 180mb puts them at one of the most expensive. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad."

Seats are too tight and tiny, very uncomfortable, staff not interacting or smiling, food was disgusting and tasteless, the aircraft seemed old and was so incredibly noisy the whole trip, and the ventilation was too bad the smell was just old and rusty."

The food was repetitive - ordered Asian Veg and got almost the same food for 3 meals. The dessert was exactly the same 1 piece of melon and 2 cubes pineapple. The male crew member did not want to be there. He grunted at the passengers. He was annoyed and when clearing food trays dropped it and aI wore custard all over me and the armrest of my seat. Fortunately I had a blanket covering me so it all landed on that. He was more upset that it also splattered him."

Nadelen: "Width and depth of seats - very small. I especially noticed the depth - very narrow. As usual bearly room between row in front. The food was very average. I ordered Asian vegetarian and got 3 meals almost identical. For dessert I also got a piece of melon and 2 cubes of pineapple 3 times. The bread roll was stale at best. Unfortunately on the long 13 hr leg we had a male staff member who wasn’t happy in his job and basically grunted at the passengers...He was also clearing the food trays and was very rough with it and I wore a container of somebody else’s custard all over me (luckily I had a blanket wrapped around Mel). He was more annoyed that zig also got the bottom of his trousers and shoes."

Voordelen: "The plane was fantastic, although my experience is slightly more skewed towards a positive one given the flight was fairly empty and we were free to choose alternative seating after takeoff. The plane itself was fairly comfortable, a noticeable step up from budget lines, and the staff were an absolute dream. Very very friendly, never seemed put out and frequently checking on passengers. The difference of inflight entertainment technology was certainly VERY noticeable & I actually preferred it. Better, clearer, bigger screens. It just changes the experience for the passenger if we can be happily distracted."
Nadelen: "Really only the food. There was one meal which I didn't eat after tasting - it was just tasteless and not worth eating. A scone sandwich would have been more preferable. I still believe the standard of inflight food could be raised a notch or too, even if it was looking at a company like Pret A Manger and offering some nice sandwiches, fruit and soup, that would be more desirable and satisfying."

Au bout de 2h de négociation nous avons obtenu une chambre d'hotel de 1h du matin à 6h.... pour reprendre le vol suivant à 8h30.... Aucune indemnisation, ni surclassement, as même un code wifi .... COMPAGNIE A EVITER A TOUT PRIS, c'est du LOW COST et le SAV est CATASTROPHIQUE.
