I went to see a person from a air canada at a desk at the boarding gates and he wouldn't even have the courtesy to give me 1 minute of his time to explain why the plane is late his awnser was wait for the announcement and you will see his attitude was very apathetic. Overall I was very disappointed"
Voordelen: "The crew was pleasant."
Nadelen: "The boarding procedure was quite confusing with one agent giving verbal instruction but intercom instruction was contradictory. The entertainment for a long haul flight was a bit disappointing, compared to Air New Zealand it is definitely lacking. The comfort was subpar as well with seats lacking adequate cushion. Needing to repeat everything in French!!"

Voordelen: "Everything went almost smoothly and so I have little to complain about."
Nadelen: "There was a snow storm in Toronto that caused me to lose about an hour. This is obviously to the fault of no one, but it was annoying nonetheless. It ended up causing me to miss my initial flight to Kelowna."
Voordelen: "Seats were comfortable. Food was OK."
Voordelen: "There was some csr that assisted us however."
Nadelen: "Most csr didn’t care our flight was cancelled. The communication internally was slow. Found out from my app. When asking info at counter they were rude and came off as they didn’t car"
Nadelen: "In the past Air Canada has been great. This past experience makes me never want to fly again. In-flight entertainment is the worst I have ever experienced on an international airline. Entertainment options were very limited, and it didn't work for most of the flight (crew tried resetting the system, to no avail). Crew were inattentive and seemed more focused on hanging out in the back of the airplane socializing with each other. Food was terrible, and I am generally pretty easily pleased when it comes to food. Return flight was delayed twice without any announcements or explanations in the boarding area. Flights were completely full and airplanes were old and uncomfortable. This flight was cheap for a reason. Pay the extra amount and fly another airline."
Voordelen: "Food was good. Flight staff was pleasant."
Nadelen: "Boarding took forever. There was a child that screamed the entire way. Wish flight staff was trained on calming children, even though I know it was just bad planning on the parents. Also wish there was a hygiene policy. Half the flight was not wearing deodorant, and you could tell."
Voordelen: "Flight was fine. Staff was fine. No complaints."
Nadelen: "Although the food was abundant and tasted good, it was rather heavy. Lots of starch (and chocolate!). That kind of food may be fun and satisfying, but it's not really the best thing for middle-aged adults who are sitting on an airplane for 10 hours! If you can work in more fruits and veggies or light desserts, that would be great! Regarding entertainment: We could not connect to the entertainment system, so we watched a DVD that we brought along with us."
Nadelen: "Oncomfortabele stoelen, Inflight entertainment werkte slecht"
Voordelen: "We did not make it to this flight since it was cancelled"
Nadelen: "We were rebooked on a flight with a short connection to London and they bumped us off that flight claiming that they could not get our bags in on time. Very poor customer service."
Voordelen: "The entertainment on board was nice because there were a variety of movies and things to do."
Nadelen: "The staff were often slow expecially during the boarding process."
Voordelen: "Nothing because it didn't happen"
Nadelen: "When I got to the airport, the attendant notified me that my flight had been exchanged. No one notified me of this and I was still under the impression that my flight was scheduled as my itenerary in my latest email. It took two hours to figure out that United had changed my flight and booked me on a different one. Once again, without notifying me. Thank god they changed my flight to a later one or I would have missed it. By the time we figured out what flight I was on, I had to sprint to a different terminal because check in was closing in 20 mins. I arrived at the check in kiosk with less than 5 mins to spare. The experience was terrible and customer service from each Kayak, United and Air Canada. I also injured my back while sprinting between terminals wearing a heavy backpacking backpack. Would not book through Kayak again."

Nadelen: "boarding was very painful , stood in line for over a hour to check suitcase . by time luggage was checked and i went through security the plane was boarding. i found luggage was damaged after i returned home. i then had to spend hours on chat to report damage and get a ref number, i then had to drive back to the airport for someone to see the damage and give me paper work. i now have to drive to thornhill to bring suitcase to see if can get repaired. plus i had to pay for parking at the airport. no satisfied with air canada at all."
Nadelen: "Not the most comfortable aircraft"
Voordelen: "No leg room"
Nadelen: "They had known about a mechanical issue all day and did not notify anyone until 1 hour before departure. They ultimately had to get another plane but only after >4hr delay. Seems to me like delay could have been avoided or at least predicted so we could have made appropriate arranements. Big domino effect of inconvenience on the last day of the year makes for very bad experience."
Voordelen: "I thought the crew was awesome. Very friendly, but the bathrooms definitely needed to be taken care of. SO dirty."
Nadelen: "TV wasn't working at all which made for a very long flight! Food selection ran out. I felt like the plane was old and outdated."

Nadelen: "Poor entertainment selection for such a long flight. Very little food for Sydney/ Vancouver leg and I am small eater."
Voordelen: "The one good thing about this flight was it wasn't fully booked, so I managed to get an entire row to myself, that and the food wasn't bad, and movie selection was alright."
Nadelen: "There were major delays taking off, and landing. I was supposed to have about a 3 hour layover in Toronto, due to multiple delays, flight plan changes, and mechanical failures I ended up getting booted from the 2nd leg of the flight, and having to spend an unanticipated night in Toronto. To begin, my 3pm flight from Seoul to Toronto was delayed to 6pm (the day before the flight was even scheduled, and for no apparent reason.) I wasn't even notified of this change, the only reason I found out was I tried checking in online the afternoon of the day before my flight (only because I remembered to do so myself, never received a check in reminder notice) and found out of the change. So my connecting flight had been bumped, and my ETA to my destination changed. This wasn't terrible, just an annoyance. Second, the flight was stuck at the departure gate for over an our. I'm not 100% sure why, however, after delay after delay, and then a flight plan change, we finally took off over an hour late, this too was was an annoyance, an nothing notable. It wasn't until we landed, where we were delayed on the tarmac for yet over another hour, due to mechanical issues that was the problem. We were stuck for about an hour (the pilot promising we'd be moving in "just 5 minutes", every 10-15 minutes) before the pilot decided to order buses to unload us, to then turn them away once they arrived so that way we could get towed to the gate. It then took an additional 40 minutes for the plane to get hitched, and towed to the gate. Once we arrived at the gate, I tried running through the airport to catch my connecting flight (which I had 10 minutes till boarding, and 40 minutes till departure) only to find out that I had been bumped from my connecting flight (despite having no checked baggage) and would have to stay the night in Toronto. Apparently this is not a rare occurrence for Air Canada to screw up flights. There were other people both on other original fights, as well as mine who were bumped from their connecting flights to various destinations, as well as having lost luggage. Again, individually these weren't exactly huge issues, collectively, they're the reason this has probably been my first and last time flying Air Canada."
Voordelen: "was a really great trip- I took the dreamliner last week and that was an amazing treat"
Nadelen: "Westjet gives pretzels or cookies complementary- I was surprised Air Canada didn't do the same Was a little squishy but all planes are!"
Nadelen: "The staff is always hit or miss"

Voordelen: "Direct flight at convenient hours"
Nadelen: "Limited good entertainment Crew was not very friendly on that flight Service was minimal"
Voordelen: "Plane left on time, smooth flight, arrived on schedule."
Nadelen: "1. Food very substandard. Hot food not very well prepared and rather tasteless, and snack was like a cardboard wrap with some salsa sauce in it. A disgrace to a major airline like Air Canada. Selection of drinks very limited. 2, Staff persisted in speaking mostly French, on an international flight. Some announcements were made only in French. As a Canadian, I can follow French, but let us remember that English is the international language. To use French is not fair to other nationalities, who expect English. 3. Seats far too close together for a long flight. There was more legroom on the Jazz flight from Montreal to Ottawa! 4. Entertainment kept breaking down. Headphones for my wife did not work, and eventually both of our screens went dead. Her's quit right in the middle of a movie. Bad!! 5. Boarding passes had zones on them, but these were totally disregarded in boarding. This resulted on overcrowding, long waits, etc. Hard on older people!"
Nadelen: "We were late getting into Chicago and I missed my connection to Albuquerque. I was scheduled to arrive at my destination at noon and because we were late, I didn't get home until almost midnight."
Voordelen: "I slept on this leg which I appreciated and we also got into Orlando early. Very excited about that."
Nadelen: "They charge for all snacks. I think for a three hour flight a small snack would be in order. A cookie or pretzels would work."
Voordelen: "The crew handled things well in spite of some turbulence closer to EWR. Thanks for a smooth and easy ride into NYC/NJ."
Voordelen: "excellent take off and landing, very smooth"
Nadelen: "Could serve a nicer snack.....came around once with free liquids....seemed more interested in pushing food to purchase....don't like paying for a seat when you already paid for a ticket"
Nadelen: "The food for purchase was very overpriced. The in-flight movies didn't have captions. My earphone jack was slightly broken."
Nadelen: "I've never been on a plane with such little leg room! I was in pain from my back and knees the next day. Reconsider flying with Air Canada if you are taller than 5'8"."
Voordelen: "I somehow got upgraded to business class. It was an incredible experience. What is there not to like about free champagne, a great selection of wines, a seat that feels like a bad, and the best service? Highly highly recommend."
Nadelen: "Nothing. Everything was amazing."

Nadelen: "Service alarm button is in armrest, dings constantly during flight when people sleep on it"

Nadelen: "both restrooms were in poor shape (as compared to typical airline restrooms) and it seemed that they had not been thoroughly cleaned in a while."
Voordelen: "Seats seem slighly bigger and it had a good configuratiom with only 2 seats on the outside rows."
Nadelen: "Older aircraft with poor air circulation, i couldnt feel the air con. I dont like the idea of an 8hour flight where you need to bring yoir own entertainment device or rent of theirs but having only limited outlets to charge devices."
Voordelen: "That this flight had entertain system that was on broad. Did not have to down load or use your horrible app."
Nadelen: "You should provide food or snacks for flights over 2hours with no charge. We were only offered a drink. Some people do not carry credit cards to purchase items."
Voordelen: "We had a pretty uneventful flight from Tampa to Toronto using Air Canada. That is a good thing. The airline offers complementary juices and drinks of the nonalcoholic variety. No complaints."
Nadelen: "5 hour delay. Didn't get the correct seat."
Voordelen: "The flight itself was good. Nice and smooth with no issues"
Nadelen: "Boarding was confusing. They had 2 different flights leaving out of the same gate at almost the same time. There were some People who were confused."
Voordelen: "I enjoyed the entertainment option."
Nadelen: "Wish there were more choices for new movies."
Voordelen: "Not much. Maybe the boarding is not bad and the flight is on time"
Nadelen: "The crew is rude and unprofessional. Really low efficient and the seats are uncomfortable. Too tide for a 14 hours flight"
Nadelen: "The announcement about turbulence were to much. Could have been way more subtle or shorter"
Voordelen: "Comfy seat, good food, great attentive service and wonderful safe take offs and landings! Also we received extra treats for their inaugural flight from Brussels to Toronto."
