When we went online there were almost no more seats available so we decided to go to the check in counter in the airport. There was one to two person doing the checked in and it took about 40 minutes to get done, unacceptable. The lines for non on line check in went faster then the on-line and they have four times more people that was in the on-line checked in. In flight, the seat felt liked you're sitting on a rock after a couple of hours. I'm an aircraft mechanic who used to be a flyer with 7,000 flying hours."

Nadelen: "Due to the enormous inside volume it is impossible to maintain a pleasant air temperature. It's nearly impossible to hear any announcements due to the extremely poor acoustics. The large open spaces and ceramic tile floors aren't conducive to hearing anything! No announcement to the departure time as we were already 20 minutes past the established boarding time as indicated on the boarding pass. I was sitting quite close to the check-in counter and was able to decipher that the boarding process was going to happen soon, so I took a position in the line without any announcement."

Nadelen: "The only negative feedback was the transit in Depansar whereby luggages have to be claimed when transferred from international to domestic terminal. This is cumbersome and time consuming. As luggage have to be check on again. I do hope they will have auto self transferred in the near future."

When we got to Soekarno Hatta, it took a while before they could open the door of the plane and let everyone out because they were waiting for some equipment (the stairs i'm guessing). Then they put us in a bus which took a loooong time to get to the right terminal. I was sick at that time so this was very inconvenient."

Nadelen: "The airline fix the booking problem because my trip was from Zurich to Brussels to Washington DC to Austin and went I print my boarding passes only show to Brussels. The booking agent didn’t complete all the way in the computer. I am thankful that I had my original paper and Swiss airlines fix it"

Nadelen: "Embarquement... J'avais parlé à un membre à l'embarquement pour avoir une place avec plus d'espace pour les jambes... On m'a promis de trouver une solution pour qu'à la fin la personne ne vienne même pas me dire en face qu'il n'y avait pas de solution. On m'a simplement dit que le vol est complet et que j'aurais du penser à cela avant... Pas très professionnel !"

Nadelen: "J'avais réservé le vol chez ANA (joint venture) : impossible de pouvoir réserver un siège puisque le vol est opéré par Swiss. Chez Swiss : impossible de réserver puisque j'ai réservé chez ANA... Repas franchement mauvais, rien de japonais, pas de chopsticks alors que la moitié des passagers étaient japonais. Divertissements : équipement vidéo d'un autre âge !"

Voordelen: "Le surclassement en business mais surtout le check in automatique via KAYAK, les avertissements sur le retard via KAYAK trips et l’information sur porte d’embarquement et le numéro de carrousel pour récupérer son baggage sur l’app KAYAK- Merci KAYAK"

Nadelen: "i had a surfboard bag that weighed 11lbs and my daughter had a surfboard bag that weighed 21 lbs and we are being charged $200 each both ways for a total charge of $800 round trip. This is an outragous fee for surfboard and other airlines specificly Alaskian Air, Quanties, and Virgin Australia have been letting us travel with surfboard bags for free that weight 3 times that much. I will never take Cathay Pacific again as we paid more for these flights because we had heard they do not charge for surfboard and they have great service. I had a total of $1200 fspending money for food and transportation for my trip to Bali. That leaves me with $400. Never again will I travel with Cathay Pacific and I will be spreading the word through social Media! Not a Happy Customer!!!"

Voordelen: "attentive and courteous crew members Landed more than an hour early extremely smooth landing toilets were clean till the end though it was a 15 hr flight"

Nadelen: "I requested special meal It wasn’t good and I got the food poison which make me sick."

Voordelen: "I guess I can't expect much from what seems to be a low budget airline. The food was OK and the movie selection was excellent. I didn't have any issues with boarding or baggage check in. There was a mix of good and bad flight staff. Sadly, the staff in bad moods were servicing me."
Nadelen: "PThe bad mood in-flight staff and the uncomfortable seats. During boarding, I asked one of the staff if I can have a window seat because I have motion sickness and aisle seats make me feel ill. She looked at me flustered and said all seats are booked and that I'll be Ok with the aisle seat. On a different CP flight, a different staff was helping a couple switch with other passengers so they can sit next to each other. That would have been nice if they did that for me when I asked for a window seat."

Voordelen: "Arrived 40 minutes ahead of scheduled arrival time. Food and drinks on board were above expectation compared to other airlines like KLM, China Southern. Cathay delivered a smooth and great service throughout this trip as per usual."

Nadelen: "The particular flight we took lands in LAX at 1420 hrs,, height of arrivals. Immigration took us an 2 hours to clear. Perhaps CX can adjust their arrival time by an hour or so to avoid the peak arrival time of many flights."

Nadelen: "In Canton (Guangzhou) aangekomen was er een zeer lamé wachttijd bij de douane van ongeveer anderhalve uur voordat ik aan de beurt was. Dit heeft verder niets met Cathay te maken maar wel met de vluchthaven."

Voordelen: "Vriendelijkheid en flexibiliteit personeel, goeie app van Cathay en keurige aansluiting op vervolgvluxht."

Voordelen: "Nice crews eating for a big guy."

Nadelen: "The crew manager shouted to me and my 1 year old boy during the flight as my son cried. They did not offer any help, my family got insulted and cried. The worst flying experience in my life, will never take that again."

Nadelen: "I did not like paying more than the advertised price for my airline ticket... Straight after clicking the confirmation button , I received a call and was informed that the advertised price had increased by $50. It was still affordable so I agreed to this extra charge. Even after 24hours had past, the flight price had not changed online. I was lied to!"

Nadelen: "For a 15 hour flight no way to make economy class comfortable at this price ( I flew Cathay since they were much cheaper than flying directly from japan"

Nadelen: "The seats are not comfortable. My head kept rolling forward when sleeping because there was not enough recline. Couldn't sleep my entire 14 hour flight."

Nadelen: "nothing much. overall good."

Voordelen: "Veel ruimte, fijne zit, goede info waar je hè op welk moment bevind. Veel films te kijken."

Voordelen: "I do the Canada-Australia trip fairly often to see my family, and Cathay-Pacific is my new fave. Cheaper than the usual, no problematic stops in the US and everything went perfectly smoothly. Thanks for looking after me!"

Nadelen: "Missed connecting flight from Hong Kong to JFK. I was given another flight but had to wait seven hours. Meal vouchers did not cover enough for how long I waited. New flight was not direct like the original one so there was a layover in Vancouver. I was supposed to get back to New York on February 2nd at night, but arrived around 6:00am on the 3rd. This was a major inconvenience since I had school 3 hours after I arrived and then work. I would suggest to not have arriving flights and connecting departing flights less than hour and thirty minutes to two hours apart. Only for delay issues."

Voordelen: "Great crew. But, they ran out of breakfast choices early."

Voordelen: "Only complaint was the disembarking routine. They emptied all of business and first before coach could even begin to leave the coach cabin. I am all in favor of giving business and first preference in getting off the plane, but this was just too much, waiting for the slowest person in business to get off before a single person could leave the coach cabin."
